Luckily we found a spot at the bar since it would've been a 15 min wait for a table during lunch on a weekday. We were taking a break from the Disney parks and was looking forward to a good meal. We started with chips and salsa but they pretty much came during the same time as our food, wished they came earlier while we waited but they were good. I got the birria quesadilla which was tasty but there were some big chunks of meat I had to cut it into smaller bite size pieces. My husband got their carne asada tacos which were good too, surprisingly no limes at all but the side of salsas helped. We got the side of Mexican rice which were pretty good too. read more

This was one of the weirdest dining experiences I've had in a long time. After a 1hr plus wait we were finally seated and excited to have some delicious food- this is definitely not what we got. Chips and salsa are $8 and it comes with tons of chips and barely any salsa. These were good though so I'll give them that. Our waitress asked if we wanted cocktails and when we said no, she acted offended or annoyed. We got the quesachicken (chicken quesadilla) which was fine and then the shrimp chorizo crispy taquitos. The shrimp was cold on top but warm in the taquitos which was very weird. I thought it would have avocado on top as described but it was just the taquitos with nothing on top- they looked naked as if the dish was unfinished. Ultimately it's a cute spot and super centrally located in downtown Disney but ultimately I would skip it! It's expensive and the food isn't good. The service leaves something to be desired. Decided to try this place out due to the high reviews and recommendation by friends after our Disney trip. It was around 3:30 PM and were quoted a 15 minute wait. We put our name down for 2 people and waited by the entrance of Paseo. About 5o to 10 minutes pass by and our table was ready. We were seated and a server was with us within minutes. Here's what we ordered: **Frozen Mangonada: Very refreshing on a hot day after a trip to Disneyland. However, it lacked citrus and chamoy which would've made it ten times better. The mango slush was on the sweeter side with the tajin to help balance out the overall flavors. (4/5) **Tepache: It's a canned beverage FYI. Our server compared it to kombucha so it was an absolute yes from me. It reminded me nothing of kombucha because of how light it was but still very refreshing on a hot day. Think of it as a slightly watered down mango chili lollipop. (3/5) **Tlayuda: Personally, it was a little disappointing. The edges were crispy but the center was floppy due to the beans and the meat. The majority of the flavor was from the beans and then the meat. It lacked a zesty citrus flavor as well as greens. I would've loved if there was either a salsa drizzle or something on the side. The dollops of guacamole wasn't enough. You can easily share this with 3 to 4 people. (2/5) **Burrito Norteño: Presentation was great and this dish had high hopes but the execution wasn't quite there. First off, the meat inside was very dry and lacked depth of flavor. (1/5) **Céntrico Hamburger: We opted to get the patty cooked medium. The burger was very juicy with a lot of flavor. The garlic fries were quite soggy which was disappointing. The orange sauce had little to no flavor so we skipped that. Overall, best dish of our meal. (4/5) The food was so disappointing here and for the price point, it was definitely not worth it. On the bright side, annual pass holders receive a 10% discount. Our total bill plus tip was well over $100 even with the discount. For having a Michelin star rated chef, it was quite the disappointment. Our server was great though and offered recommendations with the burger which was the best thing we had. My husband and I went to check out downtown disney and we are so happy that checked this place out! We ordered the Cochinita Pibil Tacos, Tacos al pastor, and the caesar salad! The caesar salad consisted of baby romaine lettuce, oven-roasted tomatoes, sunflower seeds, avocado, and a poblano dressing. The cochinita pibil tacos consisted of shredded pork with black beans, pickled red onions, and habanero. And lastly, the tacos al pastor consisted of roasted pork, pineapples, onions, avocado salsa, and cilantro. The presentation of our food was just as what I imagine the food to taste like and not alot of food looks and tastes good. I ordered the Taquitos de Papa and was surprised to discover that they were only half sized. The menu says they're giving you 4 taquitos, but it's really only 2 cut in half. They were pretty bland inside, necessitating salsa and the other toppings. I was also unimpressed by the quality of the lettuce served with them. They were ok, but I would not get again. Vegetarians like flavor too, you know! Also, these should have been listed under appetizers, as they weren't the most filling meal. Our table shared the guacamole and I will say that was very good. I'd get it again. However, it was overpriced for what it was. I did appreciate that they had a few vegetarian options. Would like to try a different one if I ever come back here. Idk why , then when we get en route to be seated someone in staff shoved me, hard to sit with a bunch of food in the way to chair. Waitress was great. Some restaurants become special because of the food. Others become special because of the memories you make there. Exactly one year ago, I met my girlfriend at Centrico for our very first date. So for our one-year anniversary, it only felt right to come back to where it all began. From the moment we sat down, our server Avelino made the evening feel incredibly authentic. We ended up learning he'd been with the restaurant group for 14 years, starting at Tortilla Jo's from opening day until it closed before transferring to Centrico. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and it showed in every recommendation he made. He suggested starting with the chips and guacamole, and wow... that guacamole deserves some recognition. It had a bright citrus flavor with the perfect balance of smooth avocado and chunky tomatoes. Easily one of the top 10 guacamoles I've had. For drinks, we ordered the Frozen Mangonada and the Tepache, and they couldn't have complemented each other better. The mangonada was loaded with authentic mango flavor, chamoy, and Tajín. It almost felt more like a dessert than a drink. The tepache, on the other hand, was light, crisp, and incredibly refreshing. Together they covered both ends of the spectrum perfectly. For dinner we shared the Quesopastor and a Caesar Salad. The quesopastor was packed with flavorful meat and was surprisingly filling, while the Caesar salad balanced everything out nicely. Before we left, Avelino even took the time to recommend a few other restaurants for future date nights if we wanted to keep exploring. That kind of genuine hospitality is becoming harder and harder to find. Coming back to the restaurant where our story started made for an unforgettable anniversary. The shrimp aguachile and tuna tiradito were fine though not well balanced and with some overwhelming flavoring that didn't allow the taste of the fish to come through or resemble the listed intended flavors/ ingredients. The shrimp aguachile sauce was heavy and could not taste any of the listed yuzu lime flavors, and the tuna tiradito was overly sweet. Perhaps most egregiously, the menu notes that both dishes use "chile toreados" but, as pictured, the dishes include pickled jalapeños that look like they come directly from a can. The cochinita pibil tacos were unfortunately dry without authentic flavor. For beverages, the Mezcalita and Tropical Breeze were tasty and overall balanced though nothing standout. read more

Unfortunately, our experience at Centrico in Downtown Disney was extremely disappointing. My friend and I sat in the open bar seating area, and from the moment we sat down, we felt completely ignored. No one greeted us, offered us water, or brought us menus. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching a couple sit down after us and immediately get greeted by a waiter and handed menus while we were still sitting there waiting. We eventually had to ask for menus ourselves, and we also had to ask for water. The attitude from the staff felt rude and dismissive from the beginning. I completely understand that Downtown Disney restaurants can get extremely busy, and I understand that servers are human and can get overwhelmed. However, being busy does not explain blatantly acknowledging and helping a party that arrived after us while continuing to ignore my friend and me. To make matters worse, while sitting at the bar, we saw a roach. A staff member appeared to wash it down the drain behind the bar, which was extremely unsettling and made us question the cleanliness of the area. I normally try to be understanding when a restaurant is busy, but this wasn't simply about having to wait a few extra minutes. It was the difference in how we were treated compared with the guests who arrived after us, combined with the lack of basic acknowledgment and the cleanliness issue. We came to Downtown Disney expecting to enjoy ourselves, and instead we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable from the moment we sat down. We came here in search of non-park food and we were blown away. Firstly, the staff and service is impeccable. Our waiter was swamped with a huge table but still made a point to check in on us throughout our meal. Secondly, this restaurant is placed in the middle of a very busy area of downtown Disney but you could never tell as it doesn't get too loud. Finally, and most importantly, the food was incredible. My wife ordered the quesachicken which was absolutely packed with chicken. I ordered the quesabirrias and it was so refreshing to see it made with lamb. The guac was solid, the tacos were... fine. The bill comes and it's $106.67 before tip. If not at Disney, that's about a $35 meal. Before the bill came, I was thinking it was probably about a 4-star meal, but even writing it now, I'm thinking it might be more like 2-stars given what I paid. I get that Downtown Disney rent much be obscene, but good lord. I guess I'll split the difference at 3-stars and just advise my fellow Yelpers to eat something on the go in the parks because it's not worth paying even more here. read more

If you're Mexican or simply know what authentic Mexican food is supposed to taste like SKIP THIS PLACE. This was my third visit because they do have a great variety of drinks, but at this point, I'd eat somewhere else and come here strictly for the drinks. The food was extremely disappointing. The salsas tasted like they came straight out of a container. The gentleman next to me ordered the carne asada tacos, which were served on flour tortillas, fail #1 for me, and the meat looked like some of the driest carne asada I've ever seen. It looked more like liver than carne asada. The atmosphere didn't feel particularly Mexican-inspired either. Most of the music was reggaeton. Nothing wrong with reggaeton, but if I'm going to a restaurant presenting itself as Mexican, I expect the food, music, and overall experience to reflect Mexican culture. After three visits, I've given this place more than a fair chance. The drinks and their variety are the highlight, but if you're coming for authentic Mexican food, I'd recommend going somewhere else. read more

I was in town for a Bachelorette party but arrived later in the evening. Everyone was in Disneyland, so I took the opportunity to have a quiet solo dinner before meeting the gals. I can't tell you how many times I've passed by Centrico but never ate there while in Downtown Disney. It stuck out in the back of my mind. How could it not? Centrico is right in the middle of Downtown Disney and notably has a tropical villa kind of vibe. I checked the restaurant's availability earlier in the day. It was one of the few spots where I could reserve a table for 1 if I wanted to. That said, I decided to take a chance at the bar, which was first come first serve. I arrived around 8:45pm, and the place was packed. It had a long queue of parties to get in too. Luckily there were several seats for me to choose at the bar. Everyone on the bar staff was friendly. Bonus pointa for my food coming out fast. I ordered the Smoky Paloma, which was fine. I believe it's a pre-batched cocktail. I could've sworn I saw my bartender pour it out of a tap. I was torn between their fish tacos and Centrico burger. My bartender said I could go either way. They're both her favorites off the menu. The fish tacos actually seemed like more food since the dish came with 3, so I opted for the burger. Solid choice if I do say so myself. The burger was juicy. I also loved the flavors from the charred peppers and the orange sauce. I'd certainly come back to try the fish tacos. The meal came with a side of fries with cotija cheese. Went here for the first time on a Sunday after a Disney day. Sat at the bar where there were a few chairs available (long line for folks to get a table and no reservations available for hours). Soon after sitting we were greeted by the bartenders and given water. We were also given a drink menu, but I had to ask for a food menu. After perusing, we ordered: - Ancient Old Fashioned: Well balanced and tasty. Smooth. It would have benefited from a single large ice cube instead of standard ice cubes. - House red: I think this was a Merlot, but I'm not confident. It was smooth and easy to drink, though. - Bottomless chips and salsa: Unfortunate that this required paying for, while many restaurants offer for free, but they were still tasty and the salsa was good while not being too spicy. - Habanero sauce: We asked if there was any extra spicy salsa-like dipable and were told there was Habanero sauce, which was a $3 charge. We ordered a side of it, and were thoroughly warned that we needed to be very careful with it. It definitely had a kick, but was not destructive. - Street corn (elote): Delicioso! Hot, savory and creamy with a citrus kick, but without the corn being overcooked. Very good. - Fish tacos: Also very tasty and excellent quality. My chief flags were the prices and that the man next to us sat for a while trying to get a beer and was seemingly being ignored by the bartenders (they were attending to other guests that had arrived after). I flagged down the bartender that was serving us and asked him to pour the guy a beer, which ended up being remarkably expensive for a stone IPA. This is a Mexican restaurant situate in the heart of Downtown Disney with views from every angle. We were seated as soon as we entered. Eyvonne was our server and she was phenomenal. She brought our chips and salsa with guacamole. I highly recommended the guacamole. It is so fresh. I ordered the Caesar salad with shrimp. There was a full bar and the seating is very comfortable. We ordered Antojitos, and the tuna Tiradito was the winner. The shrimp aguachile was simply an unappetizing color. They were in a tamarind sauce that was not well balanced. It was tart and bitter. I had everyone at the table try them, and they all said the same thing. They lacked a depth of flavor and were almost too sour. The server did the best she could. It was a busy night. We had to keep flagging people down to get drinks and the things we needed. The busboys wanted to clear the table while we were all talking. That's a pet peeve of mine when you incessantly have to say you are still eating. The ambiance is fun. It's outdoors. Lots to look at, when you're overlooking downtown Disney. The bathroom is not super convenient, it's a Disneyland thing. You have to walk inside the building and go up a flight of stairs. It's a really cool vibe just to sit here a while, grab drinks, and share apps. We took our time here. Didn't wait too long to get seated either. Maybe a couple minutes. It was a hot day and they made sure to use only tables with shade. We shared a pitcher of margarita. Then we ordered chips and guacamole, seafood chicharrón, huarache de asada, and a side of rice and beans. It was plenty of food for 4 people. The guacamole was fresh and the chips were too. My favorite thing was the seafood chicharrón. It was really just different seafood fried lightly with a sauce on top. The huarache was just okay. It's modern, lively and airy, perfect for SoCal weather and the bustling atmosphere of Disney park. I really like the layout of Centrico in general and their 360-degree-view bar setting with alcohol display, so unique. Came straight here after my visit at DCA, all I want was to grab a cocktail and rest my feet after a long day. Arrived at 10PM and bartender nicely told us they were about to close, probably in 30 minutes. Even so, my visit at Centrico was pretty chill, she didn't rush us to place an order or anything. A few other people showed up even later than us, everybody seems to have a comfortable time hang out at the bar with their friends and family members. We ordered Tropipop Crush and Pina Mule, it was alright, I didn't really taste much of watermelon in my drink but it was enjoyable, I finished it before hopping to another bar nearby that was recommended by the bartender and other guests. Overall, I had a good time at Centrico, wish I can stay longer for another drink or hungry enough to other some food to try, but there will always a next time.
