Centrico is a modern, outdoor Mexican restaurant located in Downtown Disney by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytan. We have been wanting to try it since we always pass by when we are walking the Downtown Disney area. We were served by Osvaldo, who was excellent. We ordered a strawberry mango margarita $18, CHIPS AND SALSA $6- 5 stars- might I add that they are bottomless, but the portion is pretty big so you'll probably only need one basket. Their salsa is freshly made and tasted delicious and not spicy. We also got carne asada tacos $25- 1.5 stars, which were pretty small, and not what we expected. The carne asada was very burnt and had more of a chicarrones crunch to it. They were nice enough to comp us with another taco. Nevertheless, it tasted about the same. I will not be ordering this item again. The tortillas were soft and fresh like the ones in Mexico. The NORTEÑO BURRITO $25 was delicious- 5 stars and so flavorful! It was big and filled with shredded beef, and paired well with the salsa, which was the same one from the chips. The margarita was nice and strong- 4 stars, but not the best. Overall, this was a great experience. Definitely come here for the chips and salsa and Norteño burrito. DO NOT get the carne asada tacos. First time visiting last Saturday since they opened several years ago. The service was excellent, however, there was a wait for our meal. Order a starter to hold you over especially if you are hungry. The drinks were tasty and I would visit just for another espresso martini. There's 2 versions and I thoroughly enjoyed the sweet version. I special ordered the potato taquitos, but my sensitive stomach still reacted, and I had to cut my trip short. The green sauce was delicious and paired well with the blue corn tortilla potato taquitos. The hubby order the Al pastor tacos and they arrived a bit cold. 3 of the 4 dishes the portions appeared on the small side but deemed enough in the end. The birthday girl ordered the quesobirria quesadillas and she said they were yummy and definitely the bigger portion of all. Very shareable. We had reservations set ahead of time and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. The outdoor seating is comfortable and spacious. It was slightly windy but we were partially sheltered within the super cute restaurant. They have outdoor heating that I imagine is welcome in the evening. We ordered drinks and chips and salsa which arrived rather quickly, but waited for our meals for about 20mins. Overall, I would visit again and recommend if looking for yummy food outside of the parks but still within Disney property. read more

They were crazy, packed during lunchtime on a Friday afternoon, but luckily we had reservations. Ordered some chips and guacamole, and a burrito Norteño since it's one of their popular items. The chips were extremely delicious and had a house made feel. The chips were quite crispy and crunchy. The guacamole was freshly made and well seasoned. The Burrito Norteño was filled full of guajillo & ancho braised beef, cheese blend, pinto beans, tomatillo & chile de árbol salsa, sour cream, queso fresco, avocado, flour tortilla. Overall, it was delicious and I couldn't finish it all because it was so filling. Food here is great. Service was OK since I asked for a glass of water and they forgot about it so I had to ask again. Pretty easy to grab food here if you opt to sit at the bar. Came by for a quick lunch before heading into Disneyland because I've always been curious. I really love the cochinita pibil at Paseo so I was hoping that the tacos here would satisfy that craving. Overall, I thought that the meat was okay, but not as flavorful as I would have expected. The tacos here felt comparable to tacos I could order at most other restaurants, which means they were quite pricy. A mix of emotions for this place. I've tried several things here and there is not much to rave about. This is in the middle of downtown Disney walkway, super cool vibe but food is just mediocre. Chicken taquitos were crispy but the chicken inside was a bit bland and dry. The kids chicken tacos were also dry and so was the rice that came with the meal. The burrito we had was a little bit on the salty side, elote was not our favorite (just had an odd taste). The two things we enjoyed were the tuna crudo and the Parmesan fries. Tuna crudo had a delicious sauce and fish was fresh. The fries were crispy and not overly salty. The staff are friendly but not super attentive. There were times where it took awhile to flag our server. We would rather take out from Tiendita, the food seems a lot better. We've gotten their carne asada breakfast burrito and their chicken chilaquiles both very good (only served until 11am). If you can't make it to get the breakfast, a regular carne asada would do. They don't skimp on the toppings and they are pretty quick with getting your food prepared. read more

Our favorite place to hang out at Downtown Disney at any time of the day. We usually make reservations via the Disney app. Bottomless chips and salsa for $6 - is delicious and addicting! Add guacamole. The mexican street corn is a must. For entrees, we usually do the carne asada tacos with rice, quesabirria, and oaxaca quesadilla. Food here is good. Centrico is a new Mexican restaurant located in Downtown Disney! My family and I visited for lunch and a walking break to rest our feet during our last visit for the first time. I think this location may have always been some sort of Mexican restaurant, but Centrico is the newest tenant. I love that seating is all outdoors in a covered patio, but it still feels classy somehow. There is a massive 360 degrees bar in the middle as well. They offer more upscale Mexican food like Cochinita Pibil Tacos, Gobernador Quesadillas, Mushroom Tinga Huarache and Chef Carlos' BBQ Ribs. They do offer a Kids menu with Chicken Tacos, Burritos, Mac and Cheese and even Chicken Tenders. We ordered the Kids Quesadilla with Beans for my daughter and an adult version of it too since their regular Quesadillas were more on the fancier side, but it was really good and so were the Refried Beans we ordered on the side. We also ordered the seasonal Berry Mexmas cocktail to wash it all down - it came in a super cute ceramic Snowman with removable hat! Chips and salsa are not free, but worth the price as we really enjoyed the salsa! Overall, the food was good and the service was friendly and attentive. We stumbled across this place walking around DT Disney. The hosts convinced us have lunch there. Alfredo was our server and he really elevated our experience. He was bilingual, kind, informative and super helpful. He helped everyone at the table with appetizer entree and cocktail recommendations. We checked out this spot as soon as we finished checking into the Grand Californian. It's a quick walk after bag check coming from the hotel and we got seated quickly with our reservations ready. We started with their guacamole and salsa. Both tasted very good and the guacamole was nice and chunky. We tried out the carne asada tacos, which had good flavor and soft to chew. The chicken tacos were well seasoned and paired well with the coleslaw. The potato taquitos also had good flavor and had the perfect crunch. All the food was well seasoned and the portions filled us up. The spot is well lit but be ready to yell 'huh?' A few times since the spot gets a bit loud. read more

This Downtown Disney Mexican restaurant can be difficult to get into in the evening, but for lunch on a Sunday, we were able to walk up and get seated This place is right in the middle of downtown Disney and is entirely outdoors. There is a bar in the center with tables surrounding it all the way around. There are cool woven grass lighting fixtures. Hubby is on medication that cannot be mixed with alcohol, so I passed on cocktails just to support him. It does look like they have some really good ones though. Even though this is a tiny bit on the higher end for Mexican food, you do not get chips and salsa. They are available for purchase, which we did. It's also was fine--good, but not earth-shattering. Have you ordered the Gobanador Quesadilla. It had shrimp in it and it was really good. I tasted it and neither of us had any complaints. I ordered the ceviche. Unlike most ceviche, it did not come with a tostada shell or chips or anything. It also was like no ceviche I've ever had. It was in a bowl of what looked like thick tomato soup with grape tomato halves and fish. I hated it. It tasted like fish in a bowl of ketchup. Our server asked how he liked everything and I did tell her that I didn't like this the ceviche at all. I did not ask for her to replace it - - I would not do that unless they messed up the order. I was lucky though because the server said she would be happy to take it back and bring me something else. She suggested and I went with the tuna teradito, a thin sashimi grade tuna in an amazing ponzu with avocado and onion. I loved, loved, loved it! My party and I were in need of drinks in the middle of our Disney day and we decided to stop by here for our first round.... and our second round.... and we were not disappointed. First the service was GREAT! Luisa was an amazing server and was so friendly. After ordering their seasonal drink (La Calavera Roja), we were in the mood for shots before going to California Adventure. Luisa suggested trying orange slices instead of traditional lime and that is now my go to! So delicious. We went mini golfing at a Disney hotel and was looking for places to eat at Downtown Disney. Centrico has a patio area and that's where we ate. The restaurant was so busy and we waited in line for awhile. We ordered tacos, burrito, and chips and guacamole. The guacamole was our favorite. The tacos were good too but the burrito was a pass. I felt like the burrito was not that good to be honest. I would highly recommend making reservations before coming. Every restaurant around downtown disney was a minimum 2-3 hour wait. I've followed Chef Carlos Gaytan for years and have been wanting to stop by Paseo, La Tiendita or Centrico for awhile. Everyone in the party raved about their meal. 10/10 for the Chips and Salsa, Ribs, Mole Tacos, Burger and Burrito. We will be back. I am a fierce anti-rice in burrito proponent but I may need to rethink my stance after a few bites of the burrito at Centrico. A perfect mix. Céntrico is a Mexican restaurant located right in the heart of Downtown Disney (True to its name in Spanish). One of the things I really enjoyed about dining here in California is that you can actually eat outdoors comfortably, unlike in Florida where the heat can make it tough. All the seating in this restaurant is outdoors under the shade. I love eating outdoors, and it was fun to eat while in the middle of a busy day at Downtown Disney. As for the food, I thought it was okay overall. I really enjoyed my fish tacos, they were fresh and flavorful but my husband wasn't blown away with his meal. Service was 10/10, our server was wonderful. When I visit Downtown Disney again, I will definitely go again and try more items from the menu plus its cocktails. I have to take points off because of something that was pretty important IMO. Someone in my party was vegan and appreciated that the location had vegan options, not just vegetarian, but vegan. We ordered off the menu and the friend ordered only vegan option but when it came back, it was 100% NOT vegan. The server insisted it was. We tried to explain the difference but they were not understanding it. The manager ended up getting involved and then, not really sure why, but we had to fill out a form about allergies before we could order a different option. It was just a strange situation. We've always enjoyed stopping in for a drink and even a small meal. But the bartenders are overstressed and even the one I tried to say hi to after ten minutes, and who's waited on us a number of times and we love, said "I'll get to you." I said, I was just trying to say hi. It took forever to get our bill, and when I did, I put down our DL hotel key. He saw it, took it, and then came back ten minutes later and said, We don't take that, we're not Disney. I said, you took it, and you do give a DVC discount so I didn't know. Really sub-par service.
