We tried this place for the first time while looking for somewhere for brunch. The menu looked promising and I was able to make a reservation. The reservation was not necessary as we were sat immediately and there were a handful of available tables/no wait. The omelettes and chilaquiles we had were perfect. The bottomless mimosas included a full bottle and two juice options. We will be back for brunch again plus the lunch/dinner menu looks really good as well. Service was prompt and friendly. This place was very empty on a tuesday evening. Its a small restaurant but cutely decorated and theres free parking (shared with motel). They give free chips and salsa which is nice, the salsa is spicy! But very good. I got a birria plate ($22) and their prices are definitely up there. The birria plate was meh. The rice and beans were fine, it came with a lot of tortillas and the portion was quite big which was nice, but the birria itself was tasteless. It wad under seasoned and needs some salt. Nice interior that somewhat channels Tulum vibes. For a Friday night it was pretty easy to get a table. Don't think a rsvp was necessary. There's open parking which was easy. As for service, it was a bit odd. When asked if there were any nonalcoholic beverages, the waitress looked shocked and said: it's not worth ordering. Because I was in medication I told her I can't have anything with alcohol and then she proceeded to suggest a mojito (not sure why that wasn't the answer when first asked). Outside of that the potato taquitos were decent and I enjoyed the lobster enchiladas. My friend ordered the margarita flight and said all the drinks didn't taste good, and didn't end up finishing the flight. I think this place is worth trying to form your own opinion, and prices were generous. I just don't think it's my go to for Mexican cuisine. read more

The decor is what brought us in. We were looking for something that was centralized for our family that was coming from all different directions. I found this on yelp and loved the decor pics. The fajitas were super good, our favorite. We can't compare the cochinita pibil as it was our first time trying but we thought it was pretty good. We indulged in their brunch menu, steak and eggs with a cappuccino and my girlfriend had the burrito. While we waited on our food, we were offered chips and salsa to start. The guacamole dip was delicious. My friend doused her burrito with it and loved it! The parking lot is shared with an apartment complex or hotels adjacent to the restaurant. Located on Ball road, it was convenient to get to the 57 and 55 freeways and not far from many stadiums such at the Angel stadium, the Ducks Hockey stadium (Honda center), and best of all, Disneyland! High hopes after seeing such positive reviews on Yelp, but was left slightly disappointed. We dined for lunch on a Saturday, it wasn't too busy though we did make a reservation on Yelp. For starters, the table wasn't ready when we arrived, so we helped push two tables together. The restaurant was not busy, but service was slower than you'd expect. We were in no rush, so this wasn't a problem but it was noticeable. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. They offer complementary chips and salsa, though both salsas were extremely spicy (this is coming from someone who generally enjoys a little heat). Once the food was ready it did not come out all at once, there was probably close to 10 minutes before everyone in my party received their food. The first few plates to come out were surprisingly cooled down (enchiladas) which was odd seeing as they were the first to arrive. I tried the tostada salad, which was full of lettuce (maybe a little too full) I had to dig for the beans underneath, and they used guacamole to secure the tostada shell to the plate which would have been nice to know before I finished the meal (I feel like this is a waste of good avocado). A nice restaurant with some interesting interior to make it seem like you're in Tulum. The have a variety of Mexican classics and a touch of their own twist to it. To start off I was craving a nice fresh Guacomole so I ordered that and I was suggested by the server to add crispy pork belly to it and it was a great decision. The pork belly was cooked to a perfect crisp with a chewy inside and just that itself was delicious. The Guacomole was just ok but by adding the pork belly it made it ten times better. For the food I ordered their Carnitas Taco plate which comes with rice and beans. The tacos tasted good but was a little on the dry side for it being carnitas so unless you're drenching it in salsa there was a little dryness to it. A hidden gem! We came here for our anniversary and had a lovely time! I had the red sauce enchiladas with shredded chicken and cheese and wow, were they delicious! It paired very well the rice and beans as well as the complimentary chips and salsa. Our server was very kind and attentive. Both were really good and the taquitos are sizable enough for a small plate. We were all in the mood for seafood so 3 of us got the lobster enchiladas and one got the shrimp and chicken fajitas. The fajitas had a different spin with the sizable shrimp being very buttery but all tasty. A little disappointed in the lobster enchiladas because it wasn't really lobster like you usually get at other restaurants, it was little broiled langostinos with some cheese. Came here on Monday 6/30/25 for my birthday dinner. They had a ton of reservations open so we decided to just walk in. We arrived around 6:10 pm and there was only 1 table occupied in the front and then in the back room it seemed like it was a larger party. We waited at checkin for 20 minutes but no one came to greet us at the hostess stand, and noticed not one server came to check in on the front table either. We decided to leave as it seemed short staffed and was never greeted. Otherwise the interior was cute and had that Tulum aesthetic. Our server was so friendly, bubbly and attentive. She helped suggest some delicious and popular menu items for us to choose from. We finally decided on the Birriaquiles, Tulum Mar & Tierra Fajitas, Rib eye and Battered fish Signature tacos. The food came out hot, sizzling and absolutely delicious! The birriaquiles had tons of flavor, a good touch of heat and the birria meat was tender and juicy. The signature tacos are served in huge portions! They do not skimp out on the meat at this establishment at all! I loved how the fajitas were prepared, the proteins and shrimp were cooked to near perfection.
