    Smash burger
    Melinda B.

What amazing burgers!! We ordered 3 burgers and two chicken sandwiches. I had the bacon firefly burger, and it was so juicy, not greasy, and the flavors were absolutely spot on. The bun was a bit sweet and perfectly toasted. We had leftovers the next morning, and they still tasted delicious. The kids inhaled the sandwiches as soon as they arrived, so I think they must have been great. We ordered curly fries and regular fries; they were perfection. You have to place an order first, and they'll bring the food to the table. The place is a bit small, but the booths are very spacious. It's a must-try place.

If you're craving a burger - this place has you covered. A short drive or Uber ride will let you escape the tourist area and land you with a hearty meal. The burgers are pretty good though the service is a little slow. With our order, we ordered drinks, but they were not self serve and the drinks came out after the food even after asking for them. The place has plenty of seating and free parking. I would try it again.

Smokey Burger combo with an upgrade to onion rings
    Tiffany P.

Insanely flavorful burgers with generous portions! Now one of my top burger joints. The rustic hunter decor, large comfy booths, and box of gloves at each table make this spot even more memorable. The staff were super welcoming and happy to walk us through the menu. We went with the Smokey Burger combo. Juicy Angus beef, savory bacon, molten cheese, grilled onions... all the good stuff! We asked for medium rare but got more of a medium well, yet every bite was still delicious. Upgrading our combo's fries to onion rings was the right call. They're ultra crispy and well-seasoned. Our only regret: sharing. We definitely should've each gotten our own burger. Tip: Dine-in for a complimentary smoke gun and cheese injection! Both add a fun, over-the-top element, but if I had to choose just one? The cheese injection wins. It's extra gooey and indulgent.

I stopped by this vendor at the OC MENA festival this past weekend to try the firefly burger. I just thought I was getting a regular burger that you normally get at festivals and fairs, so I wasn't expecting much. I never thought I would say this, but honestly best burger I've had! The firefly sauce was actually fire not even in n out sauce compared to this. The burger was so juicy and full of flavor along with the beef bacon, toppings and firefly sauce. The lady at the front I forgot her name, but we talked and she was so sweet. She even gave me a coupon in line while waiting. Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo because I had to eat my burger and get in line for the concert that evening. I would definitely come here more often if I lived closer! 10/10

As I type this, my meal is digesting. This being my second time here, I ordered the Smokey Meal, and, on my previous visit, I took advantage of a BOGO offer via Facebook that netted me a free Smashburger with Cheese, to go along with my choice of the Firefly Meal. Both meals, the burgers were delicious, and juicy(I ordered them Medium Rare). Temperature-wise, both were warm when they reached me, though I feel they could've been much warmer, but, other than that, no complaints. The fries were hot, though not scorching, and cooked perfectly, which is always great. Love their choice of ketchup, though, they seem to have switched them. On my first visit, they had Heinz Natural Ketchup, which had no additional sweeteners(no sugar, or, high fructose corn syrup, just natural spices, vinegar, and tomatoes). This visit, they switched back to the regular Heinz ketchup. No points deducted for that, but, I hope they stick with the natural stuff. The place isn't cramped, but it is small-ish. It doesn't feel cramped, though. Service is reasonable, speed-wise. It took just over 10 minutes or so for my order to reach my table. The girl who took my order and served me both times was friendly, and explained the menu on my first visit, and also explained how the BOGO offer would work. My lone complaint that cost this place a fourth star? Dead bugs on the window sill. To the Owner, and/or Manager: Please clean the window sills. While I didn't lose my appetite, others may not be that strong in the stomach when they see the dead bugs in the windows. If they're gone on my next visit, I'll gladly update my review, and put up Star #4.

Nashville hot crispy Onion Rings Wisconsin cheese curds

Absolutely delicious, great variety of food. Definitely a new favorite! Loved the Nashville chicken sandwich and the Smokey-burger (not in photo), along with the cheese curds and onion rings.

Really excited and surprised about this place. Tucked away in a small little corner in garden grove, me and a friend decided to try this place out. I had seen it many times as I passed by over the years but never got a chance to stop by and try it. I was happy we did because the burger was really great. The interior was very clean and restrooms looked presentable. The staff was friendly and professional. I really enjoyed that when you order your burger, they ask how you would like it cooked. Definitely recommend this spot, going to be going back soon.

Philly cheesesteak and smashed double burger
    Dan P.

Absolutely a great spot to grub, especially after midnight on weekends if you're trying to avoid basic fast food. In fact, all their foods are 100% halal. I got their Philly cheesesteak and their smash burger. Definitely recommend the cheesesteak, beef was tender, and their bread was toasty. Same for the smash burgers. Ask for a cheese gun/syringe and they'll happily inject your burger with liquid nacho cheese sauce. Yum!!! Would definitely go here and try out another entree.

Went here during OC restaurant week since they had a pretty good deal. It was $15 for a burger, fries, drink, and dessert. Kamikaze burger (4/5) - This was pretty good! Although, I was expecting it to be more spicier but it was on the mild side. I only took one bite since it was my friends so maybe the middle was spicier. Firefly Burger (4/5) - it was my first time trying beef bacon, honestly sooo good but I wish it was crispier. I got so full after eating only half of it. Fries (4/5) - These were well seasoned but a bit on the saltier side. Still good, crispy and fluffy! Cheesecake (4/5) Service was great and there was plenty of seating but I will state that parking is really hard to find here since it's adjacent to a couple other businesses.

After seeing yummy Yelp pics of chicken sandwiches all day, I gave in to the craving and we ended up at Firefly Burgers. It definitely did not disappoint!! First off, parking was easy, and the place was so clean they were literally mopping when we walked in. We love a shiny floor moment!! Sandra was the real MVP, super friendly, gave us the rundown on the fan faves, and helped guide our hungry decisions. Hubby got the Kamikaze burger, medium well. Fresh, juicy, and beefy. The sauce was a little sweet, a little spicy, just enough personality!! I went for the Nashville Hot Crispy Chicken Sandwich because cravings!! Thick white meat, seasoned right, fried crispy, and delish!! The sauce had a nice kick, not too wild... but that's coming from someone who has a serious tolerance for spice. Overall: great food, great service, happy bellies. I'd let Yelp talk me into this again!!

Good spot for a late night bite, but nothing more. Burger was juicy but flavors weren't there. Went with a couple friends so we all got different burgers and sides to try it all out. It wasn't bad nor was it good there was nothing really standing out. We thought the buns could've been toasted more and cheese be a little melted before serving. Service was non existent and we weren't even offered water. We even asked for water when the burgers were brought and nothing was said. Not a spot i would recommend, but it is open late.

    Smokey Sandwich

The food tasted really good and fresh. I've been here twice ordering the egg bacon and smokey and both times the burger tasted amazing and fresh. The fries tasted great and had a nice seasoning on it. The service was really nice and made ordering easy. The restaurant itself looked really nice and had a good vibe to it. Overall this restaurant is really good and underrated and a place I will visit on multiple occasions

Takeout box and Mexican Coca-Cola ($4.99)
    Patrick N.

Trying out FireFly Burger for the first time! This particular location tucks inside a tiny commercial building at the corner of Euclid and Chapman with very limited and tight parking. I would suggest you come with a friend so you can wait out while he grab something to-go. The limited parking contrasts strikingly with the quiet, brick clad industrial interior. The staffs are very nice and welcoming. Service was efficient and it didn't take me too long (about 10-15 min) before I got my two burgers and a Mexican coke ($4.99) for takeout. I got the Firefly Burger ($11.99) and the Wallstreet ($11.99.) I was amazed by how massive the burgers are and I had some difficulties trying to hold it with both hands! Apparently they use a needle to inject the sauce directly into the burger so it's juicier. The ingredients are fresh and quality, especially the patty are fresh and well seasoned. I also appreciate the lingering aroma of mushrooms, which enhances the Wallstreet very well. Overall, Firefly Burgers checks a lot of boxes: generous portions but solid flavors, reasonable prices, quick and friendly service, and a quiet, laid-back atmosphere. Just don't let the parking scare you eh.

I ordered the Western Bacon Cheezburger Combo, with Onion Rings as my side, and, a Raspberry Iced Tea as my drink. The place was busy-ish, with people eating their food. It's outdoor seating, only, which presents its own challenges when there's a wind blowing. But, I digress. Aside from maybe a couple people conversing, and, the music playing, not to mention skaters from the neighboring skate park rolling up, and/or out, it's relatively quiet. My food was ready in about 12 minutes or so, which was nice. My burger was bigger than the last couple of burgers I've eaten fairly recently , which was great. Definitely tastier than the last couple of burgers I've had. I'll have to eat here a couple more times to truly give it a final verdict, but, I was pleased with my burger. I have yet to give a mention of my onion rings, so, here goes: This is how Onion Rings should be done! Golden Brown, and, not Orange. Tasty, for sure! Overall, like I said, I'm pleased with my experience. I'll have to eat here at least once more to truly get a feel(taste) for their food, but, like I said, I'm pleased.

The order process was pretty simple -- I responded to their Instagram story and they reached out with follow-up questions, menu options, and pickup details. The pickup was from a home residence in the city of Garden Grove (off of Brookhurst Street and Hazard Avenue), nearby Pho 79 if you're familiar with the area. The exact address is provided with your order! The owner, Aamir, was very friendly and professional when I picked up my food and the burgers were packaged very neatly in separate boxes. I ordered two smash burgers that included three patties each, which cost $15 per burger. They included caramelized onions and jalapenos, which were a delightful surprise. The patties were a little salty, but upon reading the other reviews, I see that the owner pre-marinates the patty meat. The prices were also steep for just the burger, and I thought my order would come with fries on the side, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the food. All in all, I would return for future orders and would love to see them open a brick-and-mortar restaurant someday, ideally in Garden Grove still. 10/10 rating and five stars all around for a seamless ordering experience, delicious food, and timeless customer service.

The burger itself was massive, with one being more than enough to feed a hungry person. After talking to the owner, he mentioned he pre-marinates his meat, so that could be the reason why the taste was a little salty for us. The sauce is awesome and complimentary, so when ordering, if you don't plan on eating the burger right away, to prevent sogginess, ask for extra on the side.
