10000/10 On our way to float the salt river and we didn't want to die of starvation. Talk about a life saver. Amazing sandwich for an amazing price served by an amazing women. Highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem.

French Dip it comes with onions or sauerkraut. I opted out of both.

This is a small mom and pop sandwich shoppe. The sandwiches are a good size. The drinks are self serve. They also have a Blue Bell ice cream counter. I had the French dip. It was tasty along with the broth. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop by.

Club sándwich on a wheat roll with lots of pickles and mustard! My favorite. Very filling!

Oh wow! I just visited this place after a work meeting. I came up to the lady in the front and she greeted me in a very warm way! I asked about the best sandwiches and selected the Club. It was really good. Nice location and good customer service. I will definitely return!

Looks nothing like any picture I seen of the food here . Pick from the sides that you can't see . Potatoe salad is full of black olives ! Drowned the bread with mayo . What a disappointment !

The sandwich ingredients were pretty fresh, but only one person working at noon lunch rush? The construction of the sandwich is where my slight issue occurs. The sandwich is sent through the tiny oven and the cheese melts, but placing the lettuce, tomatoes and oil and vinegar on top of the hot sandwich is incorrect. Everything should be under the cheese and then out of the oven. Just a bit of a nitpick, but the Turkey at $7.50 or so was Boars Head and the roll seemed fresh. Served with a pickle. Paying $1.50 for a bottle of Costco water is not recommended, so just get Fountain water. Tiny place, but if you eat outside, you enjoy a great view of the guys repairing automobiles next door.

Ive been trying different sandwich places recently and The Sandwich Shoppe was next on my list. When i try any new place, I order directly from the menu, no modifications. I tried Italian Sandwich and my son had New York Club. we both chose 10" white sub roll as our bread. we both liked the bread and decided his sandwich was better than mine. it's not because mine was bad, it was just a little sweeter of a flavor than we are used to. we will definitely go back. the people there were very friendly, the quality of ingredients were very good and $7.49 for any sandwich is a reasonable price.

Someone at Yelp doesn't understand that sometimes we want to update our reviews, not bury them and replace them with a new review. They won't let us do that anymore so it's necessary for us to ask that you also please read my REAL review for this place as well as this additional updated information. [UPDATE] Haven't been here in a while. I try to avoid the overcrowding during snowbird season. Seems this place doesn't have that worry, not a customer in sight. Hmm, maybe if the owner would be more responsive to valid feedback on what's wrong with her sandwich and do something to fix it she might earn more customers? Just sayin'. Otherwise not a thing has changed since my last visit 4 months ago. Same ice cream cart that "could" look like a good idea yet seems strangely uninviting. Maybe with a little more effort they can earn the star back that they lost this visit.

We've been driving by this place for years and finally decided to stop in. We figured if this small shop was still open and busy after all this time, it must be good. I wish we hadn't waited so long! This place has a very extensive menu, great service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, and has delicious sandwiches! I was surprised to find baked potatoes and salads on the menu as well. The three pictures I am posting are all of specialty sandwiches that cost $7.49 as of the day of this review. They are the French dip, the meatball, and the tomato basil.

Fresh salad. Great size for 2 people to share.

This place is amazing and the perfect little gem! The staff is so nice and the food is terrific! Great quality meats and cheeses. I have found our family's new favorite spot!

They had fantastic live music and a fresh, inviting atmosphere inside a beautifully rustic location. While the prices were a little steep, it was entirely worth it. Their unique, house-made barbecue sauces tasted incredible--I especially loved the red BBQ sauce. On top of that, they are one of the only places around that serves cheesy potatoes, and honestly, that side dish alone will keep me coming back! The service was also top-notch; our table was consistently cleared of finished dishes throughout the meal. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a garden salad or some kind of vegetable option as a side choice. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience and we will definitely be back!

I asked for wet and they gave it to me. It was flavorful, moist, and so good. The turkey had a great smoke flavor. The Texas Twinkie was warm from the jalapeño and I love a good jalapeño! The not so great: everything was sweet. The turkey had a sweet bark, the bacon on the Twinkie was sweet, the sauces are extremely sweet, and the pickled onion and pickles were sweet. The cornbread was dry and sweet. Just a lot of one flavor profile. We didn't try the sides (lots of starch) but green veggies like green beans, collards, or similar would be a welcome addition to the menu.

Simple surroundings, but excellent food. This is one of those places, in my opinion. Ordered the Greek salad w/ beef kabob. They even asked how I wanted the meat prepared. I went for rare, and it was rare. Very fresh greens, soft and warm pita bread. Dressing on the side, which I like, because Greek dressing can sometimes be a little acidic. This was not. Smooth, with light acidity. Very tasty. The meat (see picture) was loaded on and delicious. Charred nicely on the outside, rare inside. Presented very well. Baklava for desert. What can I say - I've never really had bad Baklava. Very buttery, honey, pistachios. I'm giving five stars, because I didn't expect this to be so tasty. Expected good. Nothing fancy as far as dining, but very clean. But I don't order the tables and chairs - I order the meal, and that's what I eat. You order at the counter and they serve. The young lady was very friendly - perhaps limited English, but no one was rude. She served my food, and I forgot to grab utensils. She went back to get them w/ no attitude. I saw the cook (maybe the owner/mgr?) serve a couple and very friendly. I saw some bad reviews regarding service, so just wanted to explain that didn't happen to me. Anyway, I will go back here. Hopefully, will be as good as the salad.

I stopped here on my way out to golf in Gold Canyon for a quick sandwich. It was around 65 degrees outside but inside the store was even colder...I was shivering the whole time there...they must not have any heater. After reviewing the menu quickly (about 15 seconds), when I approached the cashier he asked 'Are you ready now?'. I found this pretty insulting as I was looking at the menu briefly with nobody behind me inline. What happened to 'How may I serve you today?' or at least a semi-friendly greeting? I ordered a Torpedo sub and got a water cup as they had a Pepsi machine (I much prefer Coke products) and no fresh-brewed Iced Tea (only Brisk out of the Pepsi machine). The sub came out quickly. I forgot to take a picture but it looked like a bread-only sandwich with a few lettuce strips hanging out. You could not see the meat or cheese without lifting off the bun. I'd say they are quite frugal with the meat, cheese and vegetables. However, the sandwich bread was excellent and the sub had good taste. Overall, the experiences was average to slightly sub-par. There's a lot of sandwich options around and I don't see myself coming back to this location any time soon.

The place wasn't crowded, but did have plenty of people inside either waiting for orders or eating at some of the handful of tables. I looked at the big menu display screens and then placed my order at the counter with the nice woman who works there. I had the brisket plate with chili and corn bread as my sides. The brisket (some fatty, some lean so I could try their idea of both) was cooked well and had a good smoke ring. The smoke flavor wasn't as strong as I prefer, but different people have different ideas and less is more when you're cooking for a crowd, so I respect that. Their barbecue sauce (the red one -- I don't put yellow sauce on brisket -- had a good flavor that complemented the brisket's flavor rather than overpowering it.) As for the sides, the chili was OK, but not something that I would order again. I like chili and was curious. Curiosity satisfied. The corn bread was moist and that middle-of-the-road between sweet and savory that is common in much of Texas (at least the parts I have visited). I like mine a little more sweet, but, like the brisket, I am a believer in getting the texture right first. Be aware if you are a fan of the sweet corn breads.
