Thank you so much to Rusty Buckle and our server blonde Jess for making our anniversary celebration so special. We were greeted and sat promptly. We were offered a high chair for our one year old. They offered a great kids menu and put that order in first, if you know you know! We ordered the rattlesnake bites, spoiler alert...it's not actual rattlesnake! Our drinks were great, a Dutchman's Gold and a mixed Sunset drink. Delicious! The fish and chips were fresh and hot. The sauces were all fire. For desert we had apple pie and ice cream. They brought our desert out with a sparkler! It was so fun! Thank you so much for making our anniversary celebration so special and festive. read more

First time here, wasn't sure what to expect. It was a Sunday afternoon and they had live music playing. Live music is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We had our 5 year old granddaughter with us that day. Both my husband and I ordered prime rib sliders with seasoned fries. Fries had a unique taste, a tiny bit spicy. I was surprised by the taste because usually when places say seasoned they usually mean salt and pepper. My granddaughter got the kids burger with fries and orange juice. We also ordered some pretzel bites as an appetizer. About 20 minutes later our appetizer finally arrives, and so did the appetizer of the couple next to us that arrived and ordered about 15 minutes after us. About 20 minutes later our food still had not arrived but the couple next to us had already received their food. Finally our server comes to check on us and noticed we still hadn't gotten our food and went to check on it. About 5-10 minutes later my husband and my food finally showed up.. the couple next to us had already finished by then. They brought out our food but not my granddaughters. Who brings out food for the adults before the kids? So she had to sit another 10 minutes before her food was brought out. She did say they were really good but her fries were too spicy for her so they brought some out with no seasoning. Our prime rib sliders were also very good. The manager came out and apologized to us and comped the kids meal. Only problem now was, I was going to use a coupon code for 25.00 off 50.00. With the kids meal taken off our total was just under 50.00 by about 20 cents. I definitely wasn't prepared to pay 50.00 for our lunch. We'll give them another chance as the place was pretty cool. Try it on a Friday or Saturday night to listen to the live music. read more

WOW the food is good here. I was no expecting this little saloon to have such good food, but the tacos I ordered were delicious. The seasoned fries were also really good. We came in on a Friday evening and there was plenty of seating. Our waitress was nice and there was live music just about to start. The ambiance feels like a mix between a country bar and Buffalo Wild Wings, except the TVs are playing old country music videos. It can get a bit loud because of that. There is a parking lot and indoor seating. The seating at the bar has Mountain View's. read more

On our way back from Tortilla Flats, found this gem. Quick service, friendly staff and it has a very chill atmosphere. We came during lunch but they do have live music everyday in the afternoon. Our waitress was attentive, quick and friendly. We ordered fried pickles for appetizer, very crunchy with great batter flavor. For our entrees, ordered wings, hot honey chicken sandwich and rip eye dip. Everyone agreed that the food was outstanding. Wings were crispy and flavorful. Hot honey chicken sandwich wasn't super hot but did have a kick and the ribeye dip was tender and the au jus had a rich meaty flavor. Cowboy fries with all is a must and we left with fried dough fries. So good!!! If you're in the area and looking for a great spot, this is the place to go!! read more

Second visit for me.... Thursday around 5pm not busy and the noise level was low. We started with an order of fried pickles. They were very good, ranch dressing was tasty but a little runny. I ordered Fish & Chips it came with coleslaw and fries. It came with 2 thick fillets of battered fish (not a cornmeal coating). It was hot and crunchy. The coleslaw tasted like it had too much mayonnaise, I didn't care for it. I'll be back, I love the pretzel bites. read more

Coming down from the Globe/Miami area and was craving chicken wings and beer so I searched via Yelp and Rusty Buckle came up so we gave it a try on a Tuesday afternoon. Great place!! I love that the bar is bright and also offers outdoor seating. Took a little while to get my first beee but from then on the service was great. Ordered the dry rub wings and a side order of fries. The fries had a wonderful seasoning on them not just salt and pepper. Loves it!! The wings were meaty and the seasoning had just a touch of heat that made them so delicious!! Happy hour is from open til 7. They also have live music Fri Sat and Sun. The menu has other great items I want to try so I will definitely be back. read more

Since opening, this location has been on my radar as I've both heard from locals in town and fellow Yelpers that this place was great. This building seems to rotate businesses, and after trying, I really hope they remain in this location! Based on the crowd on a Wednesday night, and the lively atmosphere, I'm sure they will for years to come! MAJOR PROPS! My friend is celiac and they not just accommodated, but the manager came to speak with her who was also celiac. Hands down the BEST service in Apache Junction regarding dietary restrictions and allergies. What we ordered: - Pair of Prickly Pear Margarita: loved the sweet and slight tart flavor, definitely have another when I return. A great beverage to toast to life and catch up with a friend. - Southwest Chicken Salad (modifications to be gluten-free safe): my friend said it was delicious, and loved that she could eat with confidence after speaking with the manager - Sonoran Burger: they will only cook to medium - medium well due to a flattop, but it was still a tasty burger! Loved the toppings it came with, and a great flavor profile with those combination of ingredients. We both said we'd return and see each other once a month, so I may be back soon! Heck, plan to recommend to my dad and boyfriend as we always love supporting local. read more

Staying with friends in Apache Junction and they took us here for dinner. We had a lovely time. This is a very popular restaurant with live music and good food. The service was amazing. I had the prime rib dip with coleslaw, someone had the prime rib sliders with the fries. One person had the club sandwich and another had the chili. Everyone was very satisfied. Highly recommend! After heading back to Phoenix from Boyce Thompson Arboretum, we stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. The happy hour beer deals were good and the beer was cold. The service was decent but I did notice that our server seemed to have a pretty large number of tables. They have a very large patio with a great view of the mountains and a garage door type window that opens to the inside. They have bands on the weekend but we still got to enjoy a lot of good country music. The food wasn't special. We had the pickle chips with spicy ranch (that costs $1.00), beer brat with fries, and classic burger with a side salad. Nothing was hot or even warm honestly. Our food all came out together so I'm not sure if it just sat there or it's never to temperature. The flavors were really good so it would have been much better hot. The burger and brat were both somewhat dry and it took multiple people and multiple requests to get ketchup and extra mustard. I wouldn't come out of my way to stop here again but might if I was passing through or if there was live music. read more

12/ 30/26 First visit Parking 5/5 Arrived at ~1:30 was still busy but easily found parking in their private lot. Atmosphere. 5/5 Great country vibe. Wall Art & photos set the theme for this popular Apache Junction watering hole. Nice main dining room that includes a large bar patrons can park their boots at from both the indoor dining area and the outdoor patio. A live band space sits at the dance floor. The outside patio is fairly large with picnic and standard tables many with the view of the Superstition Mountains. Heaters are scattered around to help during cooler nights. Service 5/5 Our server today was Jasmine. She had our beverage orders in quickly and returned to get our entrees going. Great attentive service throughout our visit. She gave us the scoop on the live entertainment and dancing which is what I'm returning for. Food 5/5 My wife decided to try the Prime-rib sliders with a dinner salad and substituted in onion rings. I chose from their burger offerings, picking the Sonoran burger. Wonderful mix of flavors from the chipotle aioli, roasted hatch chiles and jalapeños served on a nicely grilled bun with a tad of roasting. Beautiful burger. My side also included the onion rings and Dinner salad and we both picked the house vinaigrette. All delicious. I was able to sample the sliders , OMgosh yes! Both agreed we would order the same thing next visit but I want to checkout the Trail boss burger. So next visit will be for diner when the band gets to playing and the dancers get to boot-scooting! Hit the Rusty Buckle Saloon on a Sunday afternoon and this place is the real deal! Rolled in and grabbed a table in their massive, shaded beer garden--one of the best outdoor setups in the Valley. Live country music at the perfect volume; great chill vibe with plenty of people but never felt crowded. Food was killer all around. The chili is legendary: rich, smoky, hearty with a nice slow burn; easily top-3 chili I've ever had in Arizona. My friends demolished the sliders and wouldn't shut up about how juicy and flavorful they were (that house sauce is money). I also ordered the beer-brined chicken wings and holy cow; these things are massive! Meaty, fall-off-the-bone tender. Best wings I've had in a long time; could've eaten two orders by myself. Cold craft beers on tap, friendly, service, fair prices, and that authentic Arizona saloon atmosphere without feeling rundown. Everything was spot-on clean too. Whether you're local or just cruising the Apache Trail, the Rusty Buckle is 100% worth the trip. Awesome food, ice-cold drinks, live music, and that huge patio make it a new favorite. read more

Finally made it to @rustybucklesaloon thanks to a good friend @tastesofaz for inviting me to dinner. This one had been on my list for quite some time now. Apache Junction has a neighborhood gem! Chef @mark_coakley is serving up some next level, good ol' southern bar eats that didn't disappoint. What a way to unwind and enjoy the vibe with friends or family. My highlight was the Prickly Pear Margarita. Just what I needed after a long days work. You can taste the prickly flavor and it packs a punch. Now that's a drank! The RB Prime Rib Dip took the win for me. The bread was perfectly toasted, prime rib was seasoned, juicy and packed inside the toasted bun. Then they topped it with melted provolone all warm and bubbly on the top as they bring it to the table. Now dip that into that flavorful Au jus. Damn! My tastebuds were excited. All I was missing was a little horseradish on the side or maybe a garlic aïoli smeared up in that warm toasty bun. Now the Apple Pie.... don't event get me started. Me fought over the last few bites at home. The perfect scratch made buttery crust, beautiful lattice work, fresh warm cinnamon apples all sweetened up and delicious. Baked and served with vanilla ice cream. read more

Came with Golden Vista & Lost Dutchman for lunch & really had a great time. I'd been here once before when a band my boyfriend fills in for played here but did not order food on that visit. The restaurant is clean & well stocked & the staff is very helpful & friendly. Our groups had two amazing waitresses who were not only super nice but very accommodating as well! I had the Boot Scootin' Nachos & they were so good! Very generous portion of chips, meat, & toppings & a really tasty salsa to please your palate! I will definitely order this item again on future visits as well as try other things on the menu. This is a great place for dancing & live music albeit the dance area is small but the sound is perfect for entertaining purposes. If you haven't been here yet, please go & visit the fine folks at Rusty Buckle! read more

I let my other half choose where we were going tonight and we ended up here. For a Wednesday night it was quiet which worked for me. We arrived and were greeted by Jasmine amazing server and the reason I'm giving this a 3 star review. The restaurant itself is clean and well organized. Here's where this falls short. The menu options are terrible. Chicken, turkey, salads and burgers? Boring. We ordered wings, a club sandwich and a salad. They need to add maybe a steak or some ribs. Our wings were dry, the meat on the club sandwich looked and tasted processed. The salad was the only thing that tasted remotely good. Don't get me wrong you can't blame the server for that. The portions are good for what you pay for and the ambiance looks like it could be a fun place on the weekend. We just weren't fond of the food. My recommendation is that they retrain the kitchen staff and add some other menu options. Anyone can get chicken, turkey and burgers anywhere. read more

Sooo good! Food was delicious and there is a beautiful view of the Superstitions from the patio! Service was slowww on the Tuesday night we dined in, but our waitress was very nice. Sorry Rusty Buckle, but the food and service was rusty too. I had the Tombstone turkey, the sandwich was so salty I couldn't finish it. Wife and daughter both had fish and chips. While my wife liked her dinner, my Daughter gave it an ehh it was ok. Our waitress was non existent . Had to ask for napkins, utensils and our check. Music came on at 8pm sharp. And it was loud. No problem, I like loud music. But maybe crank it up around 9-9:30 when everyone is done with dinner. Most likely a 1 and done for me, since we don't really live in the area. read more

I came here on the Yelp recommendations. I had my eye on that Southwest Cheesesteak. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated in the bar area. We were on a Prickly Pear kick, so we got the margaritas. Good prickly pear flavor!! I ordered the SW Cheesesteak and the wife got the SW salad with fried chicken. They subbed her the fried chicken and ranch and that was good service on their part. The steak had nice char flavor and the sandwich was a nice compilation. The wife enjoyed her salad and claims the vegetables are better out here than in Wisconsin. The music is on the loud side, and newer country. It is a bar and music venue, and I bet it is fun after dark. The beer was the low key shining point!! A delicious lager called Dutchman Gold. Named after the famous Superstition Mountain Gold that no one can find. Friendly, good food, good beer/margs. Keep up the good work!! read more

Went there my usual 11 am saturday morn lunch a few years ago, and all I could order was BREAKFAST until noon? I left and ate at The Handlebar down the street. I guess they had to pour out the IPA the bartender drew when she saw me come in. And then? They took both the pastrami and grilled cheese sandwiches off the menu. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? What bar doesn't have a pastrami sandwich??? Those two entrees were what I ate 98% of the time. I am so disappointed. I won't be going back until somebody tells me the pastrami is back on the menu. Got bounced by a short, old, fat, bald guy (general manager? hall monitor? liquor-license whisperer?) who was clearly enjoying a personal renaissance of authority because I dared to possess half of a Dutch Bros iced coffee. This was after I explained to the absolutely lovely hostess that we were coming straight from church and hadn't had time to finish it, and she said it was fine. Apparently her authority only extended to the host stand and not to the Liquor License Enforcement Division of One Man. He came power‑strutting across the room like he'd just been alerted to a moonshine sting operation, and announced in his best I-take-myself-extremely-seriously voice: "I can't let you in here with that. We could lose our liquor license. I can't prove you don't have alcohol in it." First of all, calm down, Barney Fife. That's only if you KNOWINGLY allow alcohol to be brought in. That's not a gray area, that's literally the law. It's also a 25‑second Google, but I guess that was too much to ask during his heroic crusade against the Dutch Bros Cartel. By that logic, you should also be confiscating baby bottles, sippy cups, and Capri Suns before they bring down your entire establishment. Anyhow, yes...restaurants can have whatever policies they want. Fine. Cool. Love that for them. My issue is the tone. The delivery. The implication that we were about to reenact Prohibition-era bootlegging. Here we are: mid‑50s, with my 70‑year‑old mother‑in‑law, fresh from afternoon church at 1:00 p.m., sober as a church mouse (yes, I know I'm mixing metaphors), dressed in our Sunday best...and we're basically being treated like we're smuggling bathtub gin into a speakeasy. Sir. Please. The most dangerous thing we were carrying was iced coffee and a mild sense of optimism. So yeah...thanks but no thanks. We quietly left, caused no scene, didn't argue, didn't flip tables or quote statutes (cough, cough) A.R.S. § 4‑244, and headed to the BBQ place a half mile up the road. You know...the one that laughed when I asked if my "liquid plutonium" from Dutch Bros was going to get them shut down by the state. Unsurprisingly, the BBQ there was great! The atmosphere was relaxed. The live music was amazing. And no one felt the need to cosplay as a liquor enforcement officer on a power trip. read more
