We went here for an early dinner and it was awesome. It's small inside but, very comfortable. We wished the lights would have been dimmer but, no big deal. The ribeye sliders were amazing full of flavor and the rattlesnake bites were my husband flavors. We also had the onion rings. I had the saguaro sunset and I wasn't too impressed the first one was too watery and the second was a little better. Overall the experience was good. We love the idea of AJ having a good restaurant choice. The one thing I would in prove on the dress code. I understand it's a saloon but, restaurants should have uniforms that help enhance the place and not take away from it. Canned music is so loud it's difficult to have a conversation. I met a couple of friends from out of town for lunch and the music was so loud we had to yell. We asked the server if they could turn the music down and were told it was at a preset and couldn't be changed. I mentioned this wasn't the first time the music was too loud. Although I previously gave 5 star review early on, our experiences since we've been coming since opening day has been hit & miss between both good and service. Today we were greeted by Bella who sat us immediately, smiled, told us who our server is gave me her name and said if there is anything you need let me know. I saw her work hard, clean the tables (and chairs) immediately upon vacancy then greet the next customer. Truly an asset! I really thought she was the owners daughter based on her work ethic! Then Brooke! Our server was busy with a large table but acknowledged us and said she'd be right with us. We gave her our drink orders and got them faster than any other time we've been there. Brooke took our food order and checked on us regularly, she didn't just rush by as she asked, she stopped and actually made eye contact and chatted a bit. Something I've never experienced at RB. She provided us with all of our requests and we didn't have to ask a second time for anything. Kudos to the bartender for the fast service as well. My 2 friends and I ate brunch at the Rusty Buckle and woah! It was so good! I had the breakfast burger which came with seasoned fries for only $15. I also ordered a mimosa which was also good. The burger was a generous patty cooked to perfection with fried egg, fried potatoes, bacon, habanero jam and cheddar cheese. It was a beautiful combination of hearty, salty, sweet and a little kick! The seasoned fries were hot and had just the right amount of seasoning added. The portions were very generous. I could only eat half of the burger and half of the fries. This is my second review. We decided to try the brunch since we have only gone for lunch. We were a little disappointed they only do scramble eggs on all their menu items but decided to try it anyway. Well I ordered a regular breakfast but with scrambled eggs and my wife ordered Chilaquiles and that was a meal for 6 people. My waitress came back and said Chef Mark is making me over easy eggs to my surprise. They go over and beyond to service their customers. The Chilaquiles was a little spicy for my wife but she ate some of it anyways and said she would be having some for the next day. I'm not a country boy, so I'm not into the music, but it was not overly loud and we were still able to converse at our table, so it was fine. There is a fun vibe in the air, people are clearly enjoying themselves. I had checked out the menu in Yelp photos before going and had my sights set on a hot pastrami sandwich, but it they have changed the menu since then. I went with the prime rib dip which was good. We visited Rusty Buckle on a very busy Saturday evening and even with the staff running at their maximum, they were super friendly and did their best to expedite our drinks and food orders. Both our entrees and appetizers were super tasty. The drinks they serve in the glass boots were awesome. We thought the price point was very reasonable for the area and really loved the live music. Everyone was having so much fun and the whole place had a very positive vibe. I've been here a few times before I left a review to really get a feel for it. If you can't tell by the name, it's a country themed bar. They have live bands, excellent social media work, a dance floor, and a spacious patio. The place itself is really clean and well put together with all the decorations. I get food every time I go, and the quality and flavor is great. Plus they have a decent variety depending on what you're feeling. From their quesadillas, to the grilled cheese, burgers, etc.. it's always been really good bar food. My only complaint is the portions are small compared to the price I'm paying. I'm not a huge eater, but I'm always still hungry after and can't justify ordering another meal. They have good prices for beer and drinks, plus hey also have special drinks that are unique to this bar, and I think that's a great touch. The bartenders there are probably the friendliest I've encountered without actually being friends with them (yet). It's always been lively every time I've gone, and the bartenders are busy and doing a good job of keeping up with the demand. Honestly probably one of the nicest bars in AJ (and the newest), and I can see myself becoming a regular here for many reasons. 9/10 would recommend anyone to check it out as long as you enjoy country vibes and beer. The ambiance of this place is great. The service is amazing. But, the food is fair. We haven't had anything we thought was fantastic. The sauces, dressings and dips are all so watered down. I ordered queso for my fries and it was like dunking fries in soup. I think we only eat there because the music, ambiance and bartenders are great. On Saturday 01/10/26 my husband and I come to have dinner at this place, this was our 4th time here. The first time we had the wings . I'm the DD so my husband had a beer with dinner. We got here late but not late enough to stay for the show at 8 pm. Second and third time we had the burgers very good, but the third time we were here, our burgers got switch. We got there around 4:45 pm got sat on one of the small tables by the door. Every time the door open the sun was in my eyes. Plus the door has a glass little window that gets the sun through. My husband ask if it was possible we can get move from there. We were told no because it was really busy. ( we understand that) At this time our server hasn't show to our table, somebody else come over to ask if we wanted something to drink since our server was at another table. We put our drink order 2 waters one beer for my husband. Then our server Sara stop by our table ask for our order. One well done one med well, to with she responded with attitude that there was no such a thing, that they were all made the same well done! I said that's fine,(there's nothing we can do about it) I ask for the cheese on my burger to be changed to pepper jack instead of cheddar and raw onions instead of the crispy onions. When we got our order almost an hr later my burger was completely plain, I ask the food runner where is the cheese, bacon, onions and bbq sauce to with he responded that that's how the server entered in the system. He toked the burger back and bring back with in 5 minutes with just cheddar cheese on not even melted. Our server was on the table next to us , then she stop to ask if everything was ok. Unfortunately she again had attitude and roll her eyes at us. I told her that it was not ok. You will think she will try to make it better, instead she walk away. The manager at the time ( Bethany. I think that was her name) she notice and come over to our table. I explain to her what had happen , she apologize and ask me to allow her make it right. She did! Thank you for that. Meanwhile our server was nowhere to be found, she didn't show up at all for the rest of our time there. My husband wanted another beer but couldn't order because she never come over to check on us again. Somebody else did that for us. At the end we had to ask for somebody to get her and bring our check, which again she gives us attitude. While all this happened we learn from the tables next to us ,that we were not the only ones that experience with that servers attitude . I'll start by saying we stopped the week they opened on Saturday night. What a cool place. My understanding is that this was only their 2nd night open, and I'll give a break for that. Our server was super nice, but she was kind of clueless. We asked for a drink menu, and she said there were none available. We actually found one on another table shortly after that, which we did order off of a few times. She couldn't really answer any questions, and made multiple mistakes. My friend ordered his outlaw burger without onion strings and it came out loaded with them. Since it took her some time to stop back by, he scpaed them off himself, and the bbq sauce came off with them. When she finally came by again, he asked for bbq sauce to replace what had been removed, and come to find out later we were charged for a side of bbq sauce. We didn't even bother for it to be removed from the bill. We came in as two separate couples and it already took her quite some time to split our bill. Waiting for a $1 to be removed wasn't worth it. My pastrami sandwich was phenomenal, but onion rings were cold, along with everyone else's fries. There was a live band and they did it up right, and that was quite enjoyable. Overall we all enjoyed our trip and are looking forward to returning. I'm sure things will get in sync. read more

The staff here are awesome. ALL OF THEM. The menu is not large. However? The burgers are good, even if they are always served well done. I prefer medium or less, but these still manage to be tasty. The pastrami sandwich is just somewhat short of awesome? As is the chili con carne (it is as good as mine, and mine is awesome?) The shaved ribeye sammich is really good. The quesadilla with beef is just sort of spectacular? The grilled cheese with hatch chiles & bacon is excellent, but you must instruct them to "cook the bacon till dead" or they will serve you flacid and fatty stuff, as do most of the restaurants around here? I can't eat bacon like that, as it upsets me stomach. Their french fries suck. There it is. I like mine hard and crispy, but they cannot manage anything even approaching that. So I don't order fries. Get a side salad, chile or onion rings for $3 uplift. I wish they would offer potato chips in lieu of fries? It would cost them less and be more satisfying to me. With all of my criticism, I still eat here 2x/week. I like this place. If their fries were great, or they served chips in lieu of fries, I'd give them five stars. read more
