My husband and I came in over an hour before close and came in straight to sit down and were very angrily asked by the woman behind the counter "here o to go", to which I hesitantly replied to her off putting attitude, "here" . My husband and i proceeded to wait on our menus and were enjoying our conversation and you could here both women behind the counter having a heated conversation. The woman that initially gretted us came up to us and said, we close in an hour are you sure you want to say and my husband and i looked at eachother and said of course we do. The woman then looked very annoyed and raised her voice to the other woman behind the counter and looked back and said to us "do you want to go" and my husband and i looked at eachother confused. She then kept insisting, "the kitchen is being cleaned, you're going to have to wait 15-20 minutes to order" and my husband and i insisted we were okay with waiting. It was just us two in the restaurant again, over an hour before close. and the woman then again said "do you want to go? it's going to be 15-20 minutes", i then said sternly we are okay with waiting and the woman said yet again "do you want to go" we weren't being given an option. The woman was insisting we leave. My husband got upset and said we should just go. They were incredibly rude, unwelcoming and disgusting in the manner they attended us. My husband and I used to go here frequently when we were dating and the woman did nothing other than ruin a place that had so many great memories for us. we came in 7minutes after their lunch special ended, wouldn't let us use it- understandable. we got fried shrimp, and fried potstickers- they were good. ordered each a meal, and everyone rated around 3/5. Not very flavorful, and just straight up bland. My hong kong noodles even after adding a container of chile oil, and chile paste had no flavor. ive had way better elsewhere. service was good from the man , but our server was a bit rude and pushy. read more

Starting at the end, I have never had a fortune cookie so fresh and full of flavor! Best of all Chinese places we have ever been. Sweet and Sour had onions, green peppers, carrot and pineapple. Red sauce was fantastic. Spring rolls were hot, crisp and packed full of flavor. Lunch special ($8.50) included soup, which was as good as everything else. Our service was impeccable- quick, efficient and accurate. Checked with us twice and asked if we needed anything and was it OK. I enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere as well as the a/c. This is not our first take out order from lotus garden but it certainly is going to be our last as every single person in our household got sick so so sick after eating the same thing from takeout. For most of us it was our first meal of the day as we spent the morning out and about and came home and ordered takeout so that we could all get rid of our massive hunger from morning workout. The lunch special was $9, I added a tip yet no one ever came to check on me or my food? Maybe a good "to-go option ?" I was surprised in the delivery/serving of the food? The worker guy got a real ceramic plate, but everyone else got styrofoam - I'm baffled. Hardly any sauce at all in my Kung Pao Chicken, I quickly reached for the soy sauce. After adding at least 1/4 cup of soy sauce AND the sweet and sour sauce, I was still craving flavor. The chicken portion was generous, but i think I'm done. Although I was excited to try everything on the menu, i think I'll try another place next time. The early Christmas music was not the best choice in my opinion. The sweet and sour sauce seemed very thin and watery, unfortunately it just wasn't for me. Sad to report a very mushy egg roll, I had saved my stomach and hunger for this restaurant, drove over an hour and unfortunately I still left hungry :( Sad to say i actually drove thru Taco Bell for a Mexican Pizza afterwards. Maybe someone in my household might enjoy it better? I think once is good for me. LESSON LEARNED- I should've checked the Yelp reviews before driving in! One of the best!! On our way home from the lake, we stopped here on a whim. Definitely some of the best Chinese food we've had. We enjoyed their hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef, and mooshu chicken.The restaurant was clean, our waitress was polite, and food was delicious! We will be back! Highly recommend! read more

Lotus garden is a great local place for Chinese food at a great price & supporting a local business. I've always enjoyed their food, though this evening I asked if they could make tofu with teriyaki and was told no (thus the 4 star for not allowing a different sauce for the tofu). I've had other places that would do a different sauce, so I was a little disappointed. Orange tofu was good, but I still was craving teriyaki. Lotus Garden is a beautiful example of high quality food that I'm certain most locals probably take for granted. We ordered to go. I got the Kung Pao chicken. And let me just say, wow! The spice level was on the lower end of authentic. That's likely a plus for this part of the world anyway. The medley of veggies included in the dish was of a wide and enticing variety. They were cooked just right, as was the chicken. I could tell this restaurant holds itself to a high standard of quality. As a small business owner myself, I respect this. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys nuanced, yet robust, flavor, perfection in tenderness, and appealing presentation of their food. Plus.... it's reasonably priced. So I ordered a meal tonight with rice but after waiting an hour for delivery, no rice. Because Uber Eats delivered, they put it on them. Yet, Uber doesn't pack the dinners do they, so this is on the restaurant. Their solution, a free rice if I come dine in or drive out to pick up. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS! A friend of mine recommended this restaurant to us months ago but with the Pandemic they have sadly been closed, that is until recently. Today I was driving by and saw that they were open to dine in ordering. Well we stopped and decided to give them a try. Best decision of the day. Although our eyes were bigger than our stomachs we enjoyed the dumplings for our appetizer, my daughter had the General Tso Chicken lunch special and I ordered Beef Chow Fun. We also ordered Beef Fried Rice, I know way too much. When we finally were able to push our way away from the food, we spoke with the very friendly woman who I believe is the owner.
