I love Steve's Krazy sub we go pretty often and bring our out of state family when they come. I want to say recently the food quality isn't the same and they are very skimpy when it comes to the pesto sauce and chicken. The reason for my one star review is I because I bit down on an olive pit. Yes a freaking olive pit and actually almost broke my tooth cause I wasn't expecting an olive pit to be in my sandwich when chewing. I don't think it hard to tell an olive pit from a cut olive Also the service is so bad we have to order on the app instead of wait 20+ minutes in the store when they have five teenagers waiting there. read more

Ordered an Italian sub. All toppings and only oil and vinegar. They put mayo. Terrible move for a sandwich shop. Allergies maybe... then a six inch Italian beef. The giardiniera was good so I appreciate that. The beef was roast beef. Not an Italian beef. Asked for the sandwich dipped. It was dry. Gave me a side of au jus so I had to dip myself, every bite. The au jus was salty and tasted like it was out of a bag mixed with water. Pickles were good, crunchy and fresh. Really good. Bread is good, wheat and white. Cheese, not really sure. Maybe sliced too thin but couldn't tell it was on either sandwich. The potato salad was good but not great. A little black pepper goes a long way. Disappointed to say the least. Service was fantastic so that made my review higher. read more

Normally I love Steve's Krazy sub. It's usually really good but I ate there the other day and the bread (which is usually my fav part of the sandwich) was old. You know how bread gets white spots on it and it's dry. That's how it was. I was bummed. I would have rather reached out to them directly but I found no way to email them or message them privately on Yelp which would have been my preference. read more

Service was good and my dude liked the sandwich. Some to be desired with me and my wife's food but solid experience.

I've lived in the area a couple years now and for some reason never tried this place until yesterday (and today again!). They make a great sandwich for a very reasonable price - excellent value, especially if you get the combo deal - sandwich, pickle, drink and chips for less than $10! I had the Turkey Provolone Sub and it was better than any other sandwich place around so I'll be coming back for sure. Tasty toppings and lots of meat. read more

I went in tonight around 10 minutes before closing and the staff there was too worried about closing instead of getting my order correct. My order came out wrong and not even toasted. If I were management I would have a chat with them and let them know not to be closing until closing time and make sure customers are the first priority. read more

Toasted veggie sub was great and I was able to add on a lot of options without adding extra charges. Really helpful staff, my only complaint would be the metal stools are a bit uncomfortable, but there are other places to sit. The place was clean and they have some great side options including dirty chips (salt and vinegar are so good!), cookies, potato or macaroni salad. This little gem is seriously a diamond in the rough. I live across the street, literally and got a coupon for a BYGO in the mail. I had no idea, wanted to take a walk anyway and ended up at Steve's with my coupon. There was one patron in front of me and two guys working there. They were sufficient, polite and the subs were both great! They took pride in their work, well created sandwich artists waaay above SubWay and they are huge! I literally had subs for dinner, then gave hubby half of each too! We agree, local is better and pride and quality shines. read more

My favorite sub place! Their subs are great and they have these "voodoo chips" they are a mix between salt and vinegar and something else... really good. Their ice cream and ice cream sandwiches are fantastic! They use the cookies they make ( soft even when cold!) and they put several scoops of whatever ice cream you want between two cookies of your choice. One of my favorite desserts! When you go there, that corner looks a little sketchy and so does the store but most of the time their are families in the shop. read more

My office opted for sandwiches to-go for our "holiday party" and wanted to support local busn. They accommodated the request of individually wrapped and labeled and it worked perfectly. One thing, which was my bad, I ordered for 10am (which they were available exactly at 10am) because it was by my house and the party was at 3pm on the west side of town so they were a big soggy. Subs are amazing, however, the service is lacking at this location. With the younger team members, they make careless mistakes like forget to complete the order with all subs and leave hair on one of our subs. I got home to find that one of my subs was missing and double checked receipt to see that I was indeed charged. Drove back 20 minutes to pickup the missing order to get a passive apology from the employee. Got home and unwrapped my sub to find a hair plastered on the side of the bread. I want to believe that this isn't a common theme for most customers. May try their other location on country club. read more

I am so angry. I ordered a BLT with light mayonnaise. When I got home the only thing on the sandwich was bacon. I called them and was told that they ask people if they want lettuce and tomato on their sandwich. What does BLT stand for? I took it back and had them make it right. My trip to and from there is 9 miles. I had to make that trip twice so now I traveled a total of 18 miles just to get a sandwich. If your staff spent less time talking and more time paying attention to your customer's orders, this wouldn't have happened. If you have staff that doesn't know how to read, perhaps you need to hire someone who does. read more

I have eaten here for many years with no complaints. Today, my sandwich had the driest bread ever, I called the store to comment about the bread. I was told there was nothing that could be done...other than to make sure they check it next time. He then asked if that works for me! No, it does not work for me. Nice family run place, always clean with friendly staff. I've been here a number of times and the sandwiches have always been good. Plus, they have Thrifty ice cream. That's a big bonus IMO. Steve's Krazy Sub saved the day! We had ordered from Door Dash two days ago for my mother's funeral using a gift card my company sent me. Door Dash cancelled the order an hour and a half before the service. In a panic, I called Steve's Krazy Sub and they were able to make enough sandwich platters to take care of what we needed. We visited this cute little sub shop with my niece and nephew who are both extremely picky eaters. They said they wanted a meatball sub so I ordered one and was going to have them split it. They were kind enough to split it and put into two containers and I didn't even have to ask them to do it. The kids both loved their food and ate every last bit of it. I had the TBA and it was delicious. My favorite part was how soft and chewy the bread is. The shop is very clean and I had wonderful service. You have to give it a go!!! read more

Ive never been more embarrassed after ordering food. Employees complaining out loud about having to put 4 different cheeses on 4 different sandwiches, joking with another employee about 1 sandwich i ordered double meat on "hope he's gonna share this" and if Grub Hub is such a difficult company to deal with maybe you shouldn't use them anymore for your order process. I've been going to Steve's before it was even Steve's (before him and Ned parted ways). I love this place. Kinda sketchy location but I'm totally ok with that since I swear they haven't raised their prices in 20+ years. My fav sandwich shop in the east valley, even over Ned's (dare I say it). The reason I compare the two is because they are basically one in the same - same menu, same decor, right down to the old arcade games. Where Steve prevails for me is that I like their bread better and I don't have to deal with snotty Mt. View teens working at Ned's. Sometimes there are teens working at Steve's but they are so much more polite than Ned's employees. Usually though, there are the sweetest middle-aged ladies working at Steve's. The food is really good. I've pretty much had everything on the menu over the years, but my favorite is still the poor boy on white with everything cold :) In fact, I love the subs here so much I had Steve's cater my kids birthday party last year. Great Mesa institution. No frills. Just good sandwiches and friendly service. Good enough for me. read more

I love a good Po'boy, so after reading Janee's review I had to give it a try. I have to say Poorboy on white with everything cold is a mean sub. My girl got the turkey sub, "it's okay but not as good as jimmy johns..." She's a picky eater but her sub looked delicious. $13 for two lunch specials wasn't bad at at all.
