Happy Friday Everyone, after Jen's Doc. appt. today she was hungry and had a craving for Jalapeño Buck's so off we went. We have been here a few other times and is one of our favorite for their Burritos , we haven't tried the BBQ ribs or pulled pork sandwiches which I've heard are all just as good, today Jen & I shared the Bean & Cheese Burrito along with a cold Dr Pepper. Jalapeños Buck's has a newer look around it as many homes have been built, there's plenty of parking and outdoor seating, service was good very polite while ordering there's not much customer service needed as all seating is out side and everything is given to you at the pick-up window. I believe this business is ran out of a single wide trailer/mobile home as you see the employees working around each other in tight quarters, anyways if you haven't had Jalapeño Buck's be sure to stop by and give them a try, Have a great weekend. read more

Absolutely delicious!!! Super friendly service and dare I say, the best burritos in AZ?! We've been living here for a year now, and stumbled across Jalapeno bucks as we search for a new home. I've heard rave reviews and we were down the street so I HAD to Stop by and try, and boy it did not disappoint. If we lived down the street, I would maybe become a Jalapeno bucks addict. I was very excited to see brisket enchiladas on the menu. However they are not great, they're made with flour tortillas and I'm pretty sure microwaved or quickly heated when you order. The tortillas get pretty gummy and there's no of that cohesiveness like baked enchiladas have. The brisket, sauce and beans were all good though. Crave it all the time. Gooey cheeseyy flavorful. Nobody can duplicate this. Pro tip make sure you let it cool before trying. Jalapeño Bucks is one of our new favorite places to go for dinner! We heard about this place from some friends and it definitely lives up to the hype! We happened to stop by Jalapeño Bucks on the way back home and I wish this place was closer because we would be there often! It was so good! There are a few tables outside and no indoor seating so this is a grab and go place in the thick of summer. The service was quick and we put it our order at the window and it was ready within 10 minutes or so. We got 2 bean and cheese burritos, a 3 way burrito which had red pork, green beef, beans and cheese and a greenie beanie. We did also get a side of potato salad. The bean and cheese burritos were good, nothing super exciting. The star was that greenie beanie burrito, the flavor on it was so good and these burritos are HUGE! Like 2 people can definitely eat off of one and the prices are super reasonable for what you get. The potato salad was actually so good as well. So I have only been here about 20 times and remember every time why I keep coming back. Today I got the 3 way burrito and again it was amazing. This thing is a hefty nice size and the amount of flavor that's packed in it makes it my favorite around. The beans have a light smokiness that climbs into your soul and is complemented by all that meat goodness. There is a ton of cheese too, every single bite had melted cheese in it. This place was a pleasure surprise to visit for anyone who wants to get an amazing burrito! I came here during lunch and let me tell u it's super packed! That's how u know the spot is going to hit! Went in line and ordered and didn't have to wait too long considering the amount of people! And got the burrito combo plate, with 3 layer burrito and potato salad. The salad was amazing and a bit more sweet that I am use to, but my god the burrito is huge! It was completely loaded and worst the price! From an Arizona native: Jalapeño Buck's is such a valley gem. Across the board, food is fantastic. Super sloppy to eat, but everything is delicious. My husband got the brisket sandwich (with jalapeños and honey mustard sauce) and said it might be the best brisket sandwich he's had in Arizona (he has had many). The green chile beef burrito is delicious (a tad floppy) but super filling and tasty. Service is good, fun to sit outside on an easy going day (they have misters under the shade). You won't find a better shredded beef, green chili burro or quesadilla for that matter in the valley! I love that you can just zip on in, get your food, sit down, eat and go! No fuss which is fine by me. Heads up no pet allowed even though it's outdoor eating and as far as I know and can tell no bathrooms so if you like fancy, this is not the place for you. We live far from Mesa so we rarely get to eat here (its been at least 2 years), we found ourselves in Mesa for a youth football game and said "why not"!!! Well now I know why not ‍... Been visiting, jalapeño bucks for a very long time, I absolutely love this place. The first thing I tried was the peanut butter brisket, which was phenomenal. Another one of my absolute favorites is the brisket bean and cheese burrito. Has such an awesome smoky flavor. I don't think I've ever had anything there that I didn't like. The service is always great. The people that work there are awesome. It's a beautiful little shack that used to be in the middle of nowhere which I absolutely love because now they are surrounded by housing that probably shouldn't be there. The orange groves are gone, the feel of small town is gone, but this place is a one of a kind and a hidden gem . Give this place a try you will absolutely love it. read more

This little out of the way smoke shack to offers delicious smoked brisket and burritos mango salsa and chips. Selection is limited but tasty. My only gripe is it is now a mixed a sea of homes rather than the Orange Groves and the prices in the lines are incredible. There are no restrooms and we had an hour and 20 minute wait. There were people taking tables that were at the back of the line and had not even ordered. There's a long wait even after ordering because many telephone in orders while their partners secure a table. It seems that management needs to do something about the lines and the telephone order is taking preference over the live bodies that are waiting in the sun. There's no shade or accommodations for them nor restrooms. Good food, but there's a lot of good food in Phoenix not worth the weight. read more

Barely heard of this place & I cannot believe how much I was missing out on! I drove about 40 min to try this place & it was definitely worth the drive. I got the 1/4 pulled pork sandwich the meat was tender & soft & the bun makes it even better . I also had their green chili beef burrito & that also had an amazing taste not too spicy but a good spice the beans and cheese were slightly melted. The service was actually pretty fast and the ambiance was nice, ate outside and it was just perfect. Definitely will be back. read more

Jalapeño Buck's has been on my longtime bucket list! With their specific hours, I finally had an opportunity to give them a visit! They're closed on Sundays and Mondays and open from 10 AM - 6 PM or 7 PM the rest of the week. So unless you're in the area, not the most flexible hours. That being said, I decided to snag a late lunch bite from them this week. They're a BBQ Mexican fusion type joint. , featuring exclusively outdoor seating (no animals allowed), no restroom and walk up counter service. They have a fun shack like vibe with lots of cool signs, but overall limited amenities, but then again, you're going for the food! Or should be! The girl who took my order was very sweet. I knew ahead of time from perusing the menu and reviews that I was going to get the brisket, bean and cheese burrito - The cashier let me know it was a solid and popular choice. She ran me through all their salsa options: A spicy red, a verde type, a more like forward creamy green, a mango and a classic mild red. I did also get a side of guacamole, was pretty disappointed it was prepackaged and expected something made in house, but alas still nice they have it. The burrito was very good! Quite hefty, super smoky and tender brisket. I added pickled jalapeños, overall quite a delicious, but heavy and trick burrito. I loved all the salsas. Would probably opt for spicy red, creamy green and mango as personal favorites. I definitely am glad I made it there, would visit again, but with the limited hours, may not be there in the immediate future. I understand why people enjoy it so much and definitely want to try some of those burnt ends on my next visit! read more

First of all I do not know why YELP keeps directing me to these cool places and they are all outdoors and it's July!!! Ugh it's so hot out today. But i have wanted to try this place for so long. NO RESTROOMS! What kind of establishment doesn't provide restrooms? The food is so messy you can't even wash your hands. Full disclosure on the food- I am not huge on BBQ, I like it but, it's never been my favorite. The portions are huge, but so are the prices. Almost $19 for a sandwich. Got the PB&J brisket sandwich, it tastes good I give taste 4/5. The PB&J (grape) tastes so unique with the brisket. Like the concept. BUT WHERE IT GOES WRONG- the bread was so soggy.....it was disgusting. I don't know if it's because the brisket is so greasy..... but you can barely pick up this mush. The brisket egg and cheese- HUGE- couldn't even finish it. But it would be so much better if they chopped up the brisket. Nothing was mixed, you're either getting a bite of just meat or a bite of egg and cheese (unless you have a huge mouth). Then when I bite into it I get a lot of chewy pieces. We got a half pound pulled pork sandwich and a brisket bean and cheese burrito and thought I will get it deep fried that's an extra $4 bucks but sounds good. It takes 30 mins to get are food. The pulled pork was good but the burrito was soggy and just covered in oil so not good,and to have to pay $4 bucks. Not happy about that but hungry so had half of it and could not do anymore.
