We treated my momma to a dinner out and decided to come here. Now that it's Christmas time, the inside is BEAUTIFULLY decorated for the holidays. We were seated near the servers station, which I was expecting to possibly be loud or lots of dishes clanging, but it wasnt a disruption at all and the employees were very careful and aware there were customers nearby. Our waiter was awesome, I think his name was Beto. He was charming and funny and always acknowledged my young son, confirmed what I was ordering for him wouldn't be too spicy and even brought a spoon over without being asked to make feeding him easier. The food came quick! Everything was delicious and this is a place that doesn't try and nickle and dime you for chips and salsa! They were happy to bring us an extra basket and salsa and even to go containers to take them home. The margarita I ordered was strong and just what I was looking for. We had a large family Brunch here yesterday following the baptism of a family member. Beautiful restaurant, however it was still elaborately decorated for Easter on May 17th, which we found a little strange. Non-alcoholic beverages were not included in the Brunch price. Also, no ordering off the regular menu for anyone that did not want the buffet. Biggest complaint however was no items in the buffet line were identified. This meant every single person had to open every single roll top chafing dish to see what was inside. Talk about unsanitary. Our family loves Mexican food and we eat it a lot, yet many items were still unidentifiable even after opening the chafing dish. The next time we are in Temecula we might try this restaurant again and order off the menu, but count us out for Sunday Brunch ever again. read more

I've always wanted to give this place a try bc my fellow Yelpers be posting about the Nachos Libra that's supposed to be humongous. When we ordered this, the server suggested we get a half order bc the full order is ideal for 4 hungry 300-lb athletes. They were right!! Even a half order of this was way too much for the 3 of us. We also got the Carne asada plate which came w a side of caldo de albondigas (I made sure, it's all beef). They give you chips and salsa for free (I like this bc not a lot of places do this anymore). Also got carne asada fries. The Carne asada plate was good. The steak was real ranchera meat and marinated really well. The Nachos Libra was bomb, but exactly like our server said, it's REALLY BIG!! We barely dented this. The Carne asada fries were ok... it was kinda mehh, I think bc they used steak fries instead of shoestring. Overall this place is great and I would frequent it more if they were closer to me. Highly recommend!! Food is good. But for some reason they refuse to work any later than 7:30. Wife and I went to dinner here and showed up at 6pm we like to have a drink and take our time. Before even getting our drinks the waitress asked us if we were ready to order and the kitchen was closing. Mind you the hours listed say 8pm they were ready to close shop at 7. We weren't the only ones in there either. That wasn't the only time that has happened either. So my wife and I stopped going and took our business to another Mexican restaurant down Temecula parkway. I pass this place coming home from work weekly and it's a ghost town by 8pm Lights are off. The food is good, I wish they stayed open later. Seems like they are losing a lot of business. read more

I have been frequenting this restaurant at this location since they opened. Beautiful facility, purpose built. As I child I remember visiting the location in San Bernardino. Until the last 10 months or so my rating would have been 4 to 5 stars for food, service standards, ambiance. The owner/manager Sharon was always the obvious source of the high standards, and she always had her finger on the pulse of how hospitality works. Now her son is there often, and his attention to the job is obviously not where it should be. I had 4 or 5 not great experiences with service, hospitality, responsiveness and food quality over past months, but I kept coming back hoping they were just hiccups. Unfortunately tonight proved to me the standards I had come to expect are no longer a priority. My visit was not terrible but much that I observed was more on par with what you might see in a Chili's or an Applebees. My server was great, hostessing was somewhat perfunctory, busser wonderful and cheerful. Food ok, but not necessarily at the level one would expect for the price. I asked for club soda rather than still water, which I've had many times here at no charge. This time they charged me $3.50 for what was essentially a glass of water! Same glass, same ice, same labor, wth. And this was with an alcoholic beverage. Think a shot and a club soda back. Does any bar charge for club soda back? After my meal, I waited a bit in the lobby for Sharon to come back out, but my social anxiety got the best of me and I left without asking for her. When I got to my car I decided to call her because I didn't want to let it pass without giving her the favor of at least offering feedback. When she did come to the phone, she was short, talked over me, was not listening to what I was offering, and generally made me feel as though my presence was not welcome, appreciated or even sought after. I have never hung up from a call feeling more put off and dismissed. I wish them luck, but in today's restaurant environment and their prices, I don't see it adding up to success. I have a history of bringing large family groups here when they are in town but my individual dollars and the dollars of my family will not land in this establishment going forward read more

This place is AMAZING. I am so tired of going to buffets that are nasty and overpriced. Let me just say the atmosphere is GORGEOUS here. As soon as you walk In it's a lovely experience. The Christmas decorations are absolutely stunning. The food is so good and authentic. Everything is hot and servers are friendly and there for you! EVERYTHING was delicious. There was not a single item that I didn't savor and enjoy. It was like a taste of childhood coming here. This was my third time here and I'm super disappointed because I remember liking it the first 2x I went there. I ordered a coconut margarita and it didn't taste like coconut at all, it tasted like the traditional lime margarita but with zero alcohol. Usually I can get pretty buzzed off a margarita but this obviously had extremely limited alcohol in it, if any at all. So that was my first disappointment. The second one was the food. I don't know if they changed food vendors or cooks but it was all pretty bland and especially the pork tamale. Rice and beans also average. I only gave this review a 2 star because our service was good but unfortunately, I wont be returning again. It was definitely not worth it. read more

This place is massive. It was decked out with 4th of July decorations, which was cute. You can always tell the fate of your meal at a Mexican restaurant by the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were a miss for me. The chips might be made in a different kind of oil than what I'm used to because they tasted different. Not in a bad way but definitely threw me off. Salsa was mediocre. Service was quick and friendly. They have lunch specials Monday-Friday from 11am-3pm. They also have happy hour, which might be our preference to return. The food was OK. We came in for first time last night ( SATURDAY) at 8:00pm and had THE BEST WAITER!!! I hope I'm spelling his name correctly, please forgive me if not... Beto greeted us immediately with Chips & salsa, took our drink order, helped us with menu and recommended a few things. Our food came out amazing, and tasted delicious. What sets this place apart from the other ones down the road was waiter Beto... He made sure our Autistic son's food was made correctly & he cared to make sure he had everything he needed. This large dine-in restaurant is close to our home where we just moved, often driving past it. It's located in the Redhawk community in a more secluded spot away from the main shopping centers surrounded by lush greenery. We were escorted into a huge dining hall where tables were filled with conversations with voices echoing across the hall. The ambiance is quite lively and festive. As we ate our dinner around 6:30 on a Friday night, a musician played his guitar and serenaded each table with a song. It was such a lovely treat! I've never experienced that before! Food was excellent and I loved that I got a refill on my fresh, tasty horchata. I ordered the Albondigas soup, which I've never tried before--delicious! They take care of their employees and do their part to give back & participate in local school events. They are actually known for giving back and supporting the police departments locally and in San Bernardino SINCE 1951!!! Someone, who has way too much time on their hands clearly, will never be able to talk this restaurant down!! The food was terrible. My salad had brown lettuce and mushy. My carne Asada was burnt and like leather so salty it was inedible. There is so much hype about this restaurant. It's close to Pechanga and huge. I mean Huge! Big parking lot and several eating rooms and a sit-down bar ( reminds me of Hussongs). We got seated and received complimentary chips and salsa. Our waiter was Ramon. We all ordered margaritas, they were huge. At a new Mexican restaurant ( for us) I usually order the carnitas plate. It's usually a flagship dish. I asked Ramon to make sure the carnitas is browned up and crispy. My wife ordered Taquitos and a side of rice and beans. My carnitas came out just regular cooked and very salty. I asked Ramon what happened and he said he forgot do you want to take it back and crisp it up. First off every one had thier food, so I said no forget about it. I ate a few bites and was overwhelmed by the saltiness of the carnitas....whew! As we were eating a server brought two more plates of tacos which we didn't order. Then Ramon brought the tacos back and said we ordered them. We told him no we did not. He was kind of weird about it. Not super impressed with the food or service. I would like to think that you could order a dish cooked how you want it and get it. read more
