Usually I'm not one to write reviews, but I have to say my experience at Cork Fire was amazing! Starting with our server Faith who was very attentive and made sure to avidly check up on us. She recommended the coddled eggs which my wife and I adored. The bussers were just as hardworking. Alexis came by several times to refill our waters and clear our plates. As well as Sierra who we had a lovely conversation with as she informed us about the property. She also recommended the cheesecake which was excellent. Some restaurants serve dinner. Cork Fire Kitchen serves an experience that has the audacity to make you consider whether your own kitchen is even trying. On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Gorgeous sunset views with dinner! We went here for a bachelorette and were seated on the balcony. There were plenty of food and drink options. I got the chili oil wings and steak frites. Both were good! I was pleasantly surprised by the wings. Service was quick and I did appreciate that they understood the vibes were more lowkey and not rowdy for this bachelorette. Just had another great dinner at Corkfire with family. We had a reservation with OpenTable (recommended), and were seated immediately at a great window table overlooking the golf course. This is the 2nd time that Sam has been our server, and she took great care of us again. All four of us tried a different whiskey cocktail off their menu, and they were very creative, and good. We went for lunch on a Sunday and the bartender Q served our booth immediately. She was a delight and has worked there 6 years. My son always comes for their breakfast Chilaquiles but was Initially very disappointed to learn that there's a new chef and several of menu items are no longer available. Unfortunately, that's why we were there! I think he was ready to get up and leave but Q listened carefully, talked to the kitchen staff and persuaded them to make chilaquiles with the chicken-green sauce mix they use in the chile verde chicken tacos (normally has red sauce). A+ for customer service! I had the Valley Harvest Salad with Chicken and it was so good I ate the entire salad! My husband really enjoyed his Chile Rellano "muy fabuloso". Happy to report my son was more than satisfied with his chilaquiles and promised Q he would return! We loved this place! The staff was all super nice but our server Tiana was the best! She was super sweet and friendly and gave us great recommendations. The restaurant is bright and airy with a beautiful view of the golf course. We came on the Fourth of July and had an amazing view of fireworks over the golf course it was awesome. The food was excellent, we had the dry rub wings, which tasted like bbq chips in the best way possible. I also had the steak frites with lobster tail add on and it was absolutely delicious. Came here for a lunch with a group of 7. We ate on the patio with a beautiful view of the golf course. Loved the seating outdoor especially during this weather. Our group all ordered something different from the menu. I got the eggs Benedict sub for carnitas. The food did not come out as hot as I would like. My coworker asked for her fries to be reheated and they brought new ones. My eggs were lukewarm and the carnitas were slightly dry. I liked the English muffin because it was crispy. The flavor profile was good and the hollandaise sauce was a nice consistency. Service was okay. Our waitress was nice and helpful. It seemed like she was busy with indoor tables and our table. We received our food before any silverware. We had to ask two different people before being brought any. Overall, experience was okay. read more

First I just want to say, the only reason I didn't give this five stars was because of the parking situation. When looking ahead I thought for sure there would be no issue because the lot is big. However it turns out there was a kids tournament going on, so we had to walk pretty far. I didn't see a mention of this on the restaurant website, or I could have planned ahead or adjusted the time. I will say once we were inside the service was great. We were probably greeted and seated by the nice holsters. We had someone come over almost right away to bring us water. The atmosphere is very nice, and a great spot for a date night or just lunch with friends. It's a pretty large dining area, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. For the food I have the breakfast wet burrito, and I would 100% have this again. It's something I've not seen on another menu that I can recall, so I definitely had to give it a try. It came with fries on the inside but that's not how I prefer it, so I asked for them on the side, and as you can see in the photos they gave me much more then I'm sure would have been in the burrito. And the portion size was huge, and the sauce on the burrito was so good I ate almost the whole thing. Someone else at our table had the Benedict's and while they were a little more cooked than I would have liked them, they were happy with their meal, and said that the side potatoes were amazing. Definitely come here if you have a chance. They do take reservations which is a plus, and parking is plentyful for as long as there's not an event going on. read more

Came here for a friend's birthday this past weekend and I wish the experience was better. We were pretty excited to try this place since it had decent reviews. The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it. read more

Setting: TCI has a lovely property and the short ride up the driveway to the restaurant is lush and green. We found parking right away and walked in for our 3:30 Thanksgiving Day reservation. We waited for a few minutes and we were then seated at nice booth in the main dining room. I loved the main Edison bulb chandelier and overall, the lighting was pleasant. I also appreciated the small touches like the fork door handle, silverware light fixture in the entrance and the cozy fireplace in the bar area. The view of the golf course and the mountains is also really lovely. Layla took great care of us. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food: There was a special menu today for Turkey day. It was a little bit light on choices, but we managed. :) We ordered Calamari & Caesar Salad for apps. Both were plentiful portions and tasty! The Calamari was crisp & fresh and the accompanying spicy aioli was perfect. The Caesar was a huge portion and plenty for us to share. It was as expected & full of crunchy croutons and fresh romaine. My Turkey entree was a nice sized portion, but on the pricey side at $49! The three thick slices of white meat were juicy and perfectly cooked. The potatoes & stuffing were filling. My favorite accompaniment was the broccolini with caramelized onions. Yum! (I even had some leftovers to take home!) Mom's Fish & Chips were fine she said, but the fish was a little bland & dry. Dad loved his burger and ate every bite. The fries on both were crisp and flavorful. We were all a little disappointed that the menu didn't have other elevated entrees (such as steak, pork, or salmon) for those guests who did not want turkey. The bread pudding was a bit dry, but it was a a huge portion & my folks enjoyed it. My pumpkin pie was delish! I loved the homemade whipped cream & the hazelnut crumbles. The wine was lovely and complemented the meal well. Verdict: Overall, this was a nice experience in a pleasant environment. Corkfire Kitchen overlooks a beautiful golf course in Temecula. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit inside as it was a 100 degree day! The view from our seat was awesome with floor to ceiling windows overlooking waterfalls and the course. Service: Service could've been better. I had to ask multiple times for a few things like a high chair, kids menu, milk, etc. Food: we started with the nachos and added chicken. The nachos were good, but could've used more chicken. The beans and cheese sauce were well seasoned, we were the chips. I ordered the blueberry lavender salad with grilled chicken, which was good, but not worth $27. My husband got the herb and burrata omelette, which he enjoyed. It was large and came with a decent amount of roasted potatoes. I was pleasantly surprised that the kids menu had a grilled chicken with fruit option that also came with a choice of drink (milk for him). I've attended several special dinners here at Corkfire and one that took place at Peltzer winery (with food done by Chef Ben/ Corkfire) and I've yet to rave about how amazing they are. When I say special I'm talking out of this world dining experiences. From the "Pecking Order" poultry dinner with Peltzer wine pairing to the Tacos and Tequila event with Califino, each one is so fun and the food is always phenomenal. The ambience upon arrival at each event is always a wonderful surprise. The expertly crafted welcome cocktails are a nice touch. The tables are decorated beautifully, the views are spectacular and the ambience feels very elegant yet inviting. Chef Ben is a mastermind when it comes to creating dishes to excite and tantalize. The creativity that comes with pairing different spirits to curated dishes has been so exciting to experience. If you've never been to one of these events I strongly suggest you attend. Once you've taken part you will find it hard to skip the next. I've recognized many familiar faces each time. We all wait anxiously for the announcement of what Chef Ben will do next! read more

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. We were seated in the corner table which was overseeing the golf course. Service was good. Our server was very attentive and checked on us regularly. For food I ordered Turkish poached eggs, it was different than what I had in mind. But it tasted really good so I don't have any complaints about. We ordered omlete too which was good. I am not a big fan of omelets, but this one was not that bad at all. We were there for birthday celebration. Our server was very kind to bring us a complimentary happy birthday dessert. I really appreciate the gesture and kindness of her. It was very sweet of her. My husband and friends golfed at the course here and then came here for dinner. At first I loved the look of the restaurant and that it was open to the outside so you can watch people on the beautiful golf course but then I was basically swarmed by gnats the entire time so I didn't like it anymore. Service was okay. It wasn't super busy but our server didn't come for a long time and when she did I felt very rushed. We ordered the hummus and calamari as our appetizers to share. We enjoyed the hummus but not the calamari. The calamari was heavily breaded and only about half of them tasted good. The other ones were hard/chewy and maybe old? It was hard to pinpoint why some were not good. It did come with a very good dipping sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Short Rib Bolognese. It was okay. The ribs and noodles were on the dry side. My husband enjoyed the lamb dish that he ordered. The dishes here are pricey. read more

Super excited to try this place after the many praises the internet gave. It was located on a golf course and the view from our table looked over the entire course! Our waitress was very attentive and and we got our food within 19 minutes of ordering. The wings came out first and it was super hard to take it easy on them given how delicious each one was. The glaze on the wings was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, a rather addicting combination. Then, our entrees came out and the burger was cooked to perfection and the fries being nice and crispy! The eggs Benedict was also good but the smashed potatoes were my personal favorite on the plate.
