Came here for a friend's birthday this past weekend and I wish the experience was better. We were pretty excited to try this place since it had decent reviews. The minute you walked in, the ambiance just wasn't it. Perhaps because we were the only minorities there and everyone else wasn't (including the staff) but it was uncomfortable having people stare at us while we were eating and having our own conversations. Someone came to get our drink order and then it took a bit of time for our actual waiter Leila to come take our order. She did mention she was doing something else. we ordered the steak and frites and their pork chop which was the special of the day. I ordered my steak medium rare and the rest of the table ordered it in medium. When the steaks came out, the waiters seem confused as if they weren't sure which plates went where and when asked if that's a medium rare steak, they stated yes. That steak was medium and it was also dry and under seasoned. It was also tough and chewy. The fries were either undercooked or overcooked. Chimichurri sauce had no flavor to it. We did also order the cedar salad which was delicious. Their calamari and wings were as well. At the end of the night, Leila asked our friend how he liked his steak because it didn't seem like he ate anything. He said it was okay and she kept insisting you can be honest and kept pushing the matter. This was extremely uncomfortable because there was no need to make him feel like he was put on the spot. while I understand the need to want feedback, if your guest says it's okay and seem uncomfortable, maybe leave it at that. She then came over to me and asked about my steak and again saying, "you can be honest." Why wouldn't I be? I did tell her the steak was cooked incorrectly, that was not a medium steak and pointed out that it was dry. There was this awkward silence at the table because honestly there wasn't a need to keep pushing. Simply asking how was it would have suffice. They did end up comping my steak which was nice of them however the entire experience just wasn't pleasant. From the ambiance, to the crowd, to the food - wasn't worth it. read more

Stopped by Corkfire Kitchen while visiting Temecula wine country and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards and hills, especially if you sit outside. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a meal while taking in the scenery. The food was really good and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The menu has a good variety of options and the presentation of the dishes was nice. They also have a solid wine and cocktail selection which pairs really well with the food. read more

First I just want to say, the only reason I didn't give this five stars was because of the parking situation. When looking ahead I thought for sure there would be no issue because the lot is big. However it turns out there was a kids tournament going on, so we had to walk pretty far. I didn't see a mention of this on the restaurant website, or I could have planned ahead or adjusted the time. I will say once we were inside the service was great. We were probably greeted and seated by the nice holsters. We had someone come over almost right away to bring us water. The atmosphere is very nice, and a great spot for a date night or just lunch with friends. It's a pretty large dining area, and the views are absolutely gorgeous. For the food I have the breakfast wet burrito, and I would 100% have this again. It's something I've not seen on another menu that I can recall, so I definitely had to give it a try. It came with fries on the inside but that's not how I prefer it, so I asked for them on the side, and as you can see in the photos they gave me much more then I'm sure would have been in the burrito. And the portion size was huge, and the sauce on the burrito was so good I ate almost the whole thing. Someone else at our table had the Benedict's and while they were a little more cooked than I would have liked them, they were happy with their meal, and said that the side potatoes were amazing. Definitely come here if you have a chance. They do take reservations which is a plus, and parking is plentyful for as long as there's not an event going on. read more

This is one of my favorite brunch places because of the view and selection of brunch items. The service is also great. I didn't have to chase anyone down as someone was always available. The only improvement needed is the parking. If there's an event, parking isn't guaranteed. Sometimes you're circling around the parking lot a few times just waiting for someone to leave. read more

Setting: TCI has a lovely property and the short ride up the driveway to the restaurant is lush and green. We found parking right away and walked in for our 3:30 Thanksgiving Day reservation. We waited for a few minutes and we were then seated at nice booth in the main dining room. I loved the main Edison bulb chandelier and overall, the lighting was pleasant. I also appreciated the small touches like the fork door handle, silverware light fixture in the entrance and the cozy fireplace in the bar area. The view of the golf course and the mountains is also really lovely. Layla took great care of us. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food: There was a special menu today for Turkey day. It was a little bit light on choices, but we managed. :) We ordered Calamari & Caesar Salad for apps. Both were plentiful portions and tasty! The Calamari was crisp & fresh and the accompanying spicy aioli was perfect. The Caesar was a huge portion and plenty for us to share. It was as expected & full of crunchy croutons and fresh romaine. My Turkey entree was a nice sized portion, but on the pricey side at $49! The three thick slices of white meat were juicy and perfectly cooked. The potatoes & stuffing were filling. My favorite accompaniment was the broccolini with caramelized onions. Yum! (I even had some leftovers to take home!) Mom's Fish & Chips were fine she said, but the fish was a little bland & dry. Dad loved his burger and ate every bite. The fries on both were crisp and flavorful. We were all a little disappointed that the menu didn't have other elevated entrees (such as steak, pork, or salmon) for those guests who did not want turkey. The bread pudding was a bit dry, but it was a a huge portion & my folks enjoyed it. My pumpkin pie was delish! I loved the homemade whipped cream & the hazelnut crumbles. The wine was lovely and complemented the meal well. Verdict: Overall, this was a nice experience in a pleasant environment. Corkfire Kitchen overlooks a beautiful golf course in Temecula. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit inside as it was a 100 degree day! The view from our seat was awesome with floor to ceiling windows overlooking waterfalls and the course. Service: Service could've been better. I had to ask multiple times for a few things like a high chair, kids menu, milk, etc. Food: we started with the nachos and added chicken. The nachos were good, but could've used more chicken. The beans and cheese sauce were well seasoned, we were the chips. I ordered the blueberry lavender salad with grilled chicken, which was good, but not worth $27. My husband got the herb and burrata omelette, which he enjoyed. It was large and came with a decent amount of roasted potatoes. I was pleasantly surprised that the kids menu had a grilled chicken with fruit option that also came with a choice of drink (milk for him). This is such a great restaurant, one of our family favorites. Tonight I took my wife here for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Everything was top notch, the food, the scenery and the service. We were served by Christian, always checking in and making sure we were satisfied. He was very professional and had a great attitude which made the night even more enjoyable. Other staff members also checked in and made sure we were satisfied, which was great. The food is always amazing here. We ordered the Harvest Salad with Chicken, which tasted light and refreshing, with great seasoning on the chicken. The Prime Rib and potatoes were savory and perfect. I've attended several special dinners here at Corkfire and one that took place at Peltzer winery (with food done by Chef Ben/ Corkfire) and I've yet to rave about how amazing they are. When I say special I'm talking out of this world dining experiences. From the "Pecking Order" poultry dinner with Peltzer wine pairing to the Tacos and Tequila event with Califino, each one is so fun and the food is always phenomenal. The ambience upon arrival at each event is always a wonderful surprise. The expertly crafted welcome cocktails are a nice touch. The tables are decorated beautifully, the views are spectacular and the ambience feels very elegant yet inviting. Chef Ben is a mastermind when it comes to creating dishes to excite and tantalize. The creativity that comes with pairing different spirits to curated dishes has been so exciting to experience. If you've never been to one of these events I strongly suggest you attend. Once you've taken part you will find it hard to skip the next. I've recognized many familiar faces each time. We all wait anxiously for the announcement of what Chef Ben will do next! read more

This is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. We were seated in the corner table which was overseeing the golf course. Service was good. Our server was very attentive and checked on us regularly. For food I ordered Turkish poached eggs, it was different than what I had in mind. But it tasted really good so I don't have any complaints about. We ordered omlete too which was good. I am not a big fan of omelets, but this one was not that bad at all. We were there for birthday celebration. Our server was very kind to bring us a complimentary happy birthday dessert. I really appreciate the gesture and kindness of her. It was very sweet of her. My husband and friends golfed at the course here and then came here for dinner. At first I loved the look of the restaurant and that it was open to the outside so you can watch people on the beautiful golf course but then I was basically swarmed by gnats the entire time so I didn't like it anymore. Service was okay. It wasn't super busy but our server didn't come for a long time and when she did I felt very rushed. We ordered the hummus and calamari as our appetizers to share. We enjoyed the hummus but not the calamari. The calamari was heavily breaded and only about half of them tasted good. The other ones were hard/chewy and maybe old? It was hard to pinpoint why some were not good. It did come with a very good dipping sauce. For my main dish I ordered the Short Rib Bolognese. It was okay. The ribs and noodles were on the dry side. My husband enjoyed the lamb dish that he ordered. The dishes here are pricey. read more

Super excited to try this place after the many praises the internet gave. It was located on a golf course and the view from our table looked over the entire course! Our waitress was very attentive and and we got our food within 19 minutes of ordering. The wings came out first and it was super hard to take it easy on them given how delicious each one was. The glaze on the wings was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, a rather addicting combination. Then, our entrees came out and the burger was cooked to perfection and the fries being nice and crispy! The eggs Benedict was also good but the smashed potatoes were my personal favorite on the plate. Overall, amazing food + great service + and amazing view gives this place a perfectly deserved 5 stars! I'd love to come back for dinner next time and try out more items soon! read more

Had a wonderful lunch at Corkfire Grill today. We were seated in a nice booth overlooking the golf course. Cass was our server extraordinare and had other staff members provide assistance during our meal. All of the staff were friendly, kind and efficient. We ordered drinks and my wife had a bloody Mary and I had a nice IPA. For lunch my wife ordered the Mary's Chicken sandwich with fries and I had the fish and chips. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We were staying at Temecula Creek Inn and decided to grab breakfast on our first morning there. My mother in law and I were so pleased with the service and the food that we decided to come back the next morning for brunch. The waiter offered to bring out my son's food early so that he could have his meal without waiting for our food. The coddled eggs were delicious!!! The sourdough bread that this dish was paired with was soft and warm. It tasted fresh! Everything tasted amazing. The first morning I had the eggs Benedict (not pictured) I ate it so fast after having a first bite that it didn't stand a chance. I would highly recommend. 5 Stars! A Pleasant Surprise on a Quiet Night We stopped by Corkfire Kitchen at the Temecula Creek Inn on a quiet Wednesday evening. Our first time there as locals from Wildomar. The slow pace this Wednesday evening made it feel relaxed and welcoming, without any rush. Our server, Leila, was great from the start. Friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. My wife had a couple of mixed drinks, and when one wasn't tasting quite right, she swapped it out smoothly for something better, no hassle at all. We started with the Burrata Di Caprese, which was fresh and tasty. I had the bucatini with chicken a nice pasta with good flavor and tender chicken. My wife loved the roasted Mary's chicken. It was juicy and well-seasoned, with solid roasted veggies on the side. Everything hit the spot without being over the top. Finished with the Brioche Bread Pudding. Warm and satisfying. The couple next to us had gluten allergies and they had nothing available, she had a burger and no bun with a side of fruit. Eggplant humus was okay, extremely heavy on the lemon. Service was average. We waited a bit to get served. I ordered a Harvest Salad, they brought out a different salad. When we responded that it wasn't the correct salad, the guy asked "are you sure you didn't order a blueberry lavender salad".. yes we are sure... to which we were asked again if we were sure so odd. Absolutely love this gem of a restaurant! I have been multiple times over the course of the last two years and every time has been great food with great service. You have beautiful views of the golf course, a dining room, patio, and bar area for seating. My boyfriend and I have been making it our go-to for Sunday brunch and his favorite selection is the chicken and waffles. I have been bouncing around trying different choices but so far, everything has been GREAT! Food is always hot, cooked perfectly, and beautifully presented. The ambiance is always laid back, and its well spaced out so you don't feel like you're on top of other guests. The first I one I tried was the Canadian Benedict [substituted Canadian bacon for regular bacon]. I was apprehensive how the pesto would pair with it because I haven't tried it that way before but I was pleasantly surprised to really love it! The potatoes are scrumptious as always and I got a bloody mary with ketel one. The bloody mary was delicious and served with a couple yummy garnishes like bacon, celery, and an olive. The second entree I tried was the Coddled Eggs. Stepped out of my comfort zone a bit on this one as well but again, was very pleased with my choice and it was delicious! With the heavy cream being an ingredient, it is a little on the heavier side but well worth every bite. It comes with a side of their potatoes and toast. I cannot remember our bartenders name who served on us but he is always so pleasant and attentive which we are grateful for. Very nice restaurant, viewing the golf course. High ceilings and bright lights with wooden beams make the ambiance a rustic home. The restaurant is all the way into the long driveway, passing the hotel. Service was excellent- our server, Sam was pleasant and nice. Food was tasty and savory. We sat out on the patio and had beautiful views of the golf course with a pretty waterfall and pond that was probably the best thing about experiencing this place. The menu was extremely limited. We went on a Sunday for Brunch, and we were seated in less than 10min, make reservations! The restaurant and views are beautiful! We got a window side table and you could see the the golf course and the giant water fountain right in front! I'd say once the brunch rush comes in, the service gets a little bit slower as they're taking care of a lot of parties, but it also could've been due to us dining during valentines weekend.
