    Surf and Turf Burrito
    Nathan Z.

First time here and what a good little spot. Drive thru only with some outdoor tables from what I can see. Easy to drive by and miss, which would be a shame. Ordering was clear over the speaker and the lady at the window was very nice. The surf & turf burrito was good: Had some weight to it! Good tortilla for the double wrap. Carne asada had nice flavor and good texture Not too much rice so the $15ish is for flavor not filler Salsas were pretty standard but good (if a Mexican places messes up salsa it's a bad sign) Only negative on the whole burrito was the shrimp, they were good, but lacked something to tie it into the rest of the burrito. Maybe some crema or cheese? So many burritos on the menu it'll probably be a while before I order this again, definitely looking forward to eating here again.

I've always heard about D'Sotos taco shop but never knew where it was. Since we were passing through Old Town and saw it, we stopped by here to have dinner. There is no interior seating, just 3 tables outside and a drive thru. Prices are decent and the food was good. We ordered shredded beef tacos, carne asada nachos, rolled tacos, and a super quesadilla. All of the food was made fresh, hot, and delicious!! I love how they were very generous w the toppings on the Nachos and the guacamole had some chunky pieces of avocado. My daughter really enjoyed her food and suggested I give them 5 stars, I agreed. Service was good. The guy taking my order was very helpful. Great taco shop style Mexican food!!

This is fantastic Mexican food. The drive thru is super quick and they are very friendly. There is a walk up order window with outdoor tables as well.

Food: 1 Service: 1 Ambiance: 1 I really hate to do this but this was my second time here, and I still rate this place a 1 star. We were craving carne asada fries and found this place on Yelp. There was only one person in front of us in the drive thru so I was like great, we should get our food pretty quick. When we ordered, the lady wasn't very friendly but it wasn't a big deal. When we pulled up to the window, the lady working there didn't even acknowledge us (even though the service window was open). She simply asked for payment, no "hello" or anything. Pretty awkward. Even my friend commented on it. It also took a while to get our carne asada (surf and turf) fries. She did say thank you when she gave us our order and that was it for the interaction. When we got home and opened our plate of food, we were severely disappointed. 1/3 of the plate was pico de gallo. Not only that but you could definitely taste the fries were not freshly but tasted old (I can't even accurately describe it). The fries were cold and tasted really oily but cold. The plate was as not filled with fries and then we literally got very little pieces of carne asada and like 4 shrimp. I took a picture to show how much protein we got (after mixing it around to actually try to find some protein). Sorry I will not return.

This place is really tasty. They make good asada quesadillas. It's a fast serving mom and pops place. They have an outside window where you pick up your food and can order. They have tables and benches where you can eat.as well. They also have a drive thru. The price is really reasonable. Their surf and turf burrito I got was just under 11$ and the quesadilla was about 8 or 9 bucks. The only thing I didn't really like were the sauces. They actually charge 1$ extra for sour cream when I was ordering online. However, i really loved their guacamole. It was just so tasty and fresh.

    Bacon breakfast burrito
    Tamlyn L.

It's a small drive through shack about 1 mile from old town Temecula. Got the bacon breakfast burrito without beans and light cheese, light potato. It was good but a bit too greasy for me. Liked the green salsa (on the side). The red was flavorful but too spicy for me. The bacon was thick and chewy. Proportions were perfect the way we ordered it. Friendly staff and efficient service. Very good for a Mexican style breakfast burrito.

Ordered some breakfast burritos to go. Each burrito was around $11. Big in size but small in flavor. Nothing really impressive.

The place was was nicely decorated. The bathrooms were nice and clean (not funny smells). The dinning area was spotless with updated sort of nautical beach hints. When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.

On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!

The thing that irritates me the most is that I'm buying a bowl for $15 and now it's turned into a 6-in by three inch rectangle that's enough for a small child to eat. Why would you call it a bowl if you now shrink it into this tiny little container?? They never refill the carrots they're always mopping like an hour early which indicates to you that they're just not interested in taking more orders as they look semi annoyed that you're there. I don't like paying $15 or something that looks like a small child's meal that's ridiculous.
