Omg. This place... we are coming back for sure. The service was amazing. Our waitress, Justina, was on it. Our table did not lack at all during our visit. The place was was nicely decorated. The bathrooms were nice and clean (not funny smells). The dinning area was spotless with updated sort of nautical beach hints. They got me with the fish fridge/market at the entrance. My family and I visited for dinner last night, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing from the moment we walked in. When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return. read more

This large and busy seafood restaurant has several outdoor dining areas as well as an amply sized dining room with a mix of booths & tables. A clear refrigerator case with beautiful cuts of fish for sale greets you as you walk inside and the nautical/ocean theme of the decor is hard to miss. The hostess walked us past many empty tables and booths, only to seat our party of three in the last booth next to the bathrooms, and with a full and direct view of both bathroom entrances. When I enjoy a meal, this isn't the view that I'd like to see while dining whether at a restaurant or at home. I didn't want to make a fuss, but seriously, I think this table should only be used as last resort, as the products used to clean the bathrooms were extremely strong, and this cloying chemical odor permeated my nostrils through the duration of our meal. Even my eighty year old mom commented on the odor. Melody provided mostly good service for us. She did forget my mom's wine so we had to remind her about it, but she did kindly substitute the rice for scalloped potatoes upon my request. Additionally, the helpers & bussers were attentive and kept our bread plate full. :) The bread is delicious! My dad had a glass of lager & my mom had a glass of Chalk Hill Chardonnay. They both enjoyed their drinks. I didn't not drink today because I was the DD. We shared the Seafood Louie salad, and each of us was able to have a fresh and flavorful bowl of salad. Each of us enjoyed it. Then the entrees were brought out. My butterfish was cooked well, but the miso flavor was quite subtle. The green beans were on the sour side, but the scalloped potatoes that I subbed in for the rice were delicious. My mom loved her trout and said the same thing I did about the sides. My dad's pasta was overly sauced. The shrimp and scallops were fine, but he would have preferred for the shrimp tails to be removed. Melody asked if we wanted dessert... crème brûlée, key lime pie, or mud pie. While these sounded tasty, we were all pretty full, so we got the check & headed out. There is a large parking lot as well as adequate restroom facilities. Parting thoughts: The standout item of the evening was the salad. I expected a better all round experience based on the quality of recent reviews and my previous time dining here a few years ago. However, tonight's experience was average at best. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but what my family experienced here demands to be said. We waited 45 minutes to be seated which we were prepared to accept. What we were not prepared for was walking in to find four staff members congregated in the lobby who made no effort to acknowledge us. I am 6'6". I assure you, they saw us. When we were finally seated, it was at the very back of the restaurant far removed from the main dining are despite clearly visible open booths throughout. My wife and I noticed immediately. So did our 7-year-old. The service that followed confirmed what the seating had already suggested. My son had to use his fries to eat his pasta because we had to ask multiple times for utensils for the three of us...The effort from our server was, at best, minimal. What made this experience impossible to dismiss as coincidence: another Black family arrived after us and was seated in an even worse position in the same isolated area. Looking around the main dining room, we could not find a single Black family seated inside it. I want to be fair. I cannot prove intent. But I can speak to what my family saw, felt, and experienced and it did not feel like poor service. It felt like a pattern. This was my first time here. We got seated almost immediately. It wasn't very busy for a Sunday evening. Ordered oysters for appetizer that were very fresh! As someone who lived in Washington for a few years, these were probably some of the most fresh we've had in California! We got our drinks pretty promptly & same thing with our food. Salmon was delicious & same with my pasta! I wish the pasta was a little bit of a bigger portion but, nonetheless it was delicious! We had just finished eating & immediately we were asked if we wanted dessert & told our waitress no & she already had our bill in her hand & put it on the table. At that moment she cleared our table, we still had a few sips of our drinks left & she took the extra menu I had from our table. From then on we just felt very rushed to leave... I was going to order the ponzu scallops but instead, I didn't feel comfortable ordering that or another drink. So we just paid & went along our night, finished our drinks & left. Came here with the family. Someone gifted us a gift card here and gotta say this place is nice. I got the Fisherman's Platter and have to say you get alittle bit of everything with the platter. It's always extra special to be welcomed with warm sourdough bread and butter as soon as you're seated. It paired well with the steamed clams and mussels in white wine, garlic, and butter broth. The ahi tuna poke came with fried wonton chips, but we ordered a side of green rice to go with it. We went to the Winemakers Tasting Event paired with an excellent menu. The wines were provided by Marshall Stuart Winery in Temecula. We started with a Drunken Shrimp Scampi paired with a Blanc de Blanc. Next, we were served a Lemon Cesar Salad paired with a Chardonnay and the main course was a Cedar Plank Salmon topped with a maple Dijon glaze with scalloped potatoes and sautéed green beans paired with a Cabernet Franc. Wow, what an excellent meal! Our servers were great and provided perfect service. A live sax player gave the restaurant a cool vibe and the lighting was just right. Tonight was not their night. At least for us. Started out great. Made a reservation and was sat right away. Greeted, drinks ordered, and bread was brought out hot and fresh. I waited about 12 minutes for my first Diet Coke. Had to ask about it, even though the tables around me who were sat after us were already sipping. Strike one. Strike two, the steamed clams and mussels were a bit grainy. I get that happens but it was more than just one it was like they weren't scrubbed hard enough and soaked to filter out the grit. The broth was very flavorless. Even with the lemon added, it was like water. No garlic taste and lacking salt. The parsley had a of graininess to it as well. The crab dip was also probably one of the driest dips, I've had. I don't know how else to describe it and didn't know dip could be described as dry...who knew Strike three, the wife got the paella "taste of Spain" I believe. Now, in my experience paella is supposed to have a caramelized bottom. This did not, and again lacking salt. Tasted water downed, and not in a fresh from the sea kind of way, more of a flavorless kind of way. But this was probably the most flavorful. Strike four, I ordered the golden cod, it was ok. It's pictured. But again where's the salt!?!? I couldn't taste the corn puree. The skin was not crispy and was more leathery. It was served skin side up, so I figured it would have been crispy since it was served skin on and presented that way, Why leave the skin, if not seared? Strike 5, we saw numerous tables around us get asked if they wanted more bread. We did not. Strike 6, had to ask for our water to be refilled and my Diet Coke. Waited about 10 minutes to even find our server to ask. Strike 7, maybe it's because we had a baby with us. I know everyone says their baby behaves, and ours did. He ate his crackers while we ate our bread and had some bison puree while we ate. He drank his water, did not cry once. A little talkative but the restaurant is loud. I counted the tables next to us, behind us and in front of us had a total of 4 tables touches to our 1. I could write it off but we were also nearest to the server station. I get being busy, it wasn't that busy. It's Friday night but plenty of open tables. My wife and I go out every Friday night and didn't want to stop even though we have a baby. We love eating out and introducing him to new places. I'd probably forgive the tasteless food if the service was top notch. It wasn't the worst but in comparison to others around us....it was somewhat insulting and hard not to take it personal. Strike 8, if you're familiar with restaurant wars and top chef. There's this one season when Padma is leaving; and there is no one at the host stand to say goodbye. It's something I know look for anytime we go out. Now there was somewhere there; actually two! As I walked out, holding my baby and the door for my wife. Not one said thanks for coming or have good night. I initiated it after waiting to see if they would say anything, and again....minor but with everything else it was the icing on the cake. Maybe it was because we had a baby, perhaps we're weren't old enough ( older crown around us) Maybe because we didn't order booze, maybe it was because I was wearing flip flops, Maybe it's my tattoos, not sure, but I do know we were not made to feel like a priority like everyone else around us. My husband and I decided to go out for a nice seafood meal. At first we were going to go to 333 but then decided that Bluewater grill was closer and my husband wanted swordfish. We started out with the steamed clams. They were very fishy, tiny and squishy. They didn't taste good at all. We are used to fish house Vera cruise or Anthony's fish grotto which are amazing. Ordered the surf and turf and the lobster had absolutely no flavor and seemed raw in the middle and only cooked on the outside. The butter didn't even have flavor. The New York steak was good and the potatoes were yummy. It's just sad because we went to a seafood place and all the seafood was really bad. Great experience overall. The menu is short and sweet with all classics. We all enjoyed the steam mussels/clams and calamari starters. They have fresh seafood and market price items like king crab and lobster, but was very expensive to test or try. Maybe next time for an upcoming birthday or anniversary. The service is great and our server paid extra attention and was attentive. We didn't have reservation but was able to get in. Also, they were able to move us from the back of the restaurant near the restrooms to a central location instead. We appreciated this greatly. The locals eat here regularly I can imagine. New England clam chowder was flavorful but a little too thick for me. I prefer more on the creamy side and less thicker. Enjoyed the starter bread. Perfectly toasted. Oysters so fresh and clean. Butter fish moist, soft and not fishy at all (my favorite) . Simple but elegant presentation. Salmon was a little fishy but grilled well. Had some sautéed spinach substituted for asparagus. We grabbed a reservation for early dinner on Sunday. We've seen good reviews on this place and it comes up consistently when searching for a restaurant in Temecula. The atmosphere is nice; it feels warm and cozy, inviting. They've got a fresh fish case in the entrance and there are some amazing filets, etc. They also have a patio with heat lamps. The menu is laid out very nicely and it's got cute little names and sections. I was very excited because everything looked good. Our server came by and took our drink order. My husband chose the Rum Punch and I tried a glass of the Sauv Blanc from France. We wouldn't recommend either. The punch was "boozy", not sweet enough and not what you'd imagine "punch" to be. It wasn't good. The wine was fine but if you're a fan of Sauv Blanc, particularly from NZ then you won't like this. It tastes like a mix of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay. My pour was flat, like it came out of an old bottle. The drinks also took over 20 mins to arrive. I finally had to flag down the server and let him know that our drinks had never arrived. He looked like he'd forgotten something and ran back to collect them. We ordered a cup of Chowder which was really good. It was grainy though so not sure if the clams weren't cleaned properly or if it had shells in it. The Caesar salad came out with brown lettuce and we had to send it back which our server did with no issues. I will say that the dressing was delicious. We ordered our entrees and then waited and waited and waited. We'd been there 1 1/2 hours and still had no dinner! It was very strange. The table seated next to us came in after us and had been served, other tables around us also had service and came and went. They had different servers so maybe that was the issue, not sure. Our entrees finally came out and they were fine. Hubby ordered the trout and I went with the scallops. The spinach and mushroom side on my dish had crispy onions on it like the kind you put on Green Bean casserole at Thanksgiving. They were soggy, not crispy and the whole dish just didn't taste right. It wasn't good. The sea scallops were sweet and not my favorite but they were fine. The crust on the Trout was delicious. We traded entrees and my hubby ate the spinach and a few of the scallops. We then sat and sat and sat waiting for our check which the server forgot he hadn't brought out. He finally asked us if we could pay and we pointed out he'd never brought the check out. Again, he looked surprised and went back inside to retrieve it. My husband handed him his CC so he wouldn't have to walk back and forth. It was very strange. The whole night it was like the server was confused or just off his game. We opted for no dessert because we just wanted to get out of there.
