We just found our favorite Italian food fix, a few miles from our home! Every time we visit this place, food and service just got better and better! My hubby and I came on a Wednesday which was surprisingly busy. We waited for a few minutes to be sat. Found out they offer a half-off wine bottle of your choice for every 2 entrees ordered. Perfect! After the complimentary bread (5 ) was served, we ordered the Pizza Bianco (we requested anchovy toppings for $4, so worth it!) 5 which is now our favorite pizza; Penne al Filetto 5 ! I purposely didn't finish it so I can enjoy it more at home; a nice Italian bottle of Chardonnay, La Pietra, which was recommended by one of the owners and she was right! Half price of $75 was sooo worth it!!! Finally, we loved the wedge salad that was new on their menu. Perhaps the best wedge salad we have had! (We always order wedge salad where available and compare them all since). They put the actual pancetta as opposed to crispy bacon which other restaurants do. They have this "Thursday Date Night" menu that we want to try one of these days. So you bet we will be back!!! read more

Was in Temecula last week with my mom and we decided to find a new place for lunch. There was one table occupied by two diners and we walked in right behind another couple. There was one person behind the bar who pointed to a booth near the back for us to sit. Turns out he was the only front of house person who,e we were there. May have been ok, however he did not multitask and instead helped the first table by making drinks, next taking their order, them bringing out complimentary garlic knots and delivering their food before going to help the people who walked in before us. It would have been nice to have a menu and water, but that didn't happen. I was ready to leave but my mom wanted to stay he handled them start to finish as well. He was doing other things after giving us menus, then came with the lunch menu. He said they had only one, for the whole restaurant! Before we could look at it he asked if we were ready to order then came back as my mom was looking at it, which I hadn't. If the service is like this on a Tuesday afternoon at 12:45, no telling how long the wait would be when it's busy. I'm hoping it just an off day. As we were leaving, there was another staff member talking with the lone guy. Now for the positive, the food was delicious. Went to Francesca's for a family dinner on a busy holiday weekend, where we were lucky to snag a same day reservation. The restaurant is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking in the evening. The interior is cozy and reminiscent of a traditional Italian restaurant. Nearly all of us ordered a pasta dish, which we enjoyed. A plate of garlic knots was also included with the meal. I had the linguine alle vongole, where the white wine sauce shone and was truly the hero of the dish. My husband had the mussels fra diavolo, which were prepared in a rich, spicy tomato sauce. The dessert was a pistachio tiramisu, which we were excited about. We felt it fell a bit flat, as the pistachio flavor didn't seem to be infused in the tiramisu and was only really detectable in the ground pistachio sprinkled on top of the dessert. Because it was so busy (there was a large kids' soccer team seated behind us), the restaurant was quite loud and service was a bit slow, but always warm and friendly. Macy was our server. First time here at Francesca's. We have been driving by this restaurant for years and decided to give it a try. To our surprise the service was good, the food was good, and loved our appetizer and food. There was one exception, all of my clams and mussels did not open, so they were dead already. Those should have been taken out of the dish. With my stomach I would have had food poisoning, if I did not know not to eat. Would we come back, yes! Hopefully, management will notify kitchen staff not to do that. I still want to try other things on the menu. The tiramisu was great when I tried it at the restaurant. Sweet family owned restaurant. The ambience was comforting & very family oriented. With the young daughters playing outside, then coming in to take the customer's orders. I came here to order the chicken mama Mia, but I didn't see it on the menu. So I ordered the chicken piccata instead. I later found out that they can make it & the things you see on their Yelp page that aren't on the menu. So I will try the chicken mama Mia next time. My hubby ordered the spaghetti bolognese off menu, and my son ordered the carbonara. I also ordered the arancini, it was my fav from everything we ordered. Food is okay, I love the bread but it's already oily so when you dip it in the oil/balsamic vinegar it got even greasier. Honestly, I'm not sure about the customer service. Don't get me wrong, they were civil with us, but you can tell that they treat their patrons in a much friendlier way. For example, this table next to us, they were very attentive and asked them if they wanted more bread or water, etc. While on our table, when we finished the bread, they just took the empty plate out. There's no more water and no one even asked if we wanted a refill. So basically we're not coming back. read more

I've driven by this place many times and decided to give it a try. They serve some bread that my bf really enjoyed but I was trying to save my appetite for our appetizer, the bruschetta. The flavor was perfect, the tomatoes were fresh, the herbaceous basil, the balsamic reduction, perfection. I could've eaten the whole plate. For entrees we decided on the lobster ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo. The ravioli was to die for. The rich creamy sauce perfectly complimented the succulent lobster ravioli. Sadly the fettuccine seemed to be lacking in flavor. To finish our meal we shared the spumoni ice cream. So good! I loved the chocolate shell on the outside. Service was good but it did take an exceptionally long time for us to get the bill, not a big deal we were enjoying each other's company on our date night. My husband and I came here to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and it was our first time here. We rarely ever get Italian food, but this was the place to go. All of our dishes did not disappoint at all! For our first time here, we were also Danny's first table and we were happy to be his first table. He was amazing and a very kind server. Simple water refills would take more than ten minutes and getting the bill took 25 minutes. We felt quite displeased with the service. We did order an appetizer the bruschetta was just okay the carbonara was just okay, the pancetta was almost non existent in the plate. My partner and I recently had dinner at Francesca's based on the stellar reviews. Our server began by telling us that some of the pastas were homemade but he didn't know which ones and that if they ran out of the homemade pasta then they wouldn't be homemade. We started with the Caprese salad to share. The tomatoes really weren't ripe, there was little flavor and very little balsamic glaze. For entrees we had the cheese ravioli with bolognese and the chicken Marsala. Both were underwhelming. The vegetables with the Marsala were cold. The ravioli wasn't hot and neither it nor the bolognese was very good. There are much better Italian restaurants in Temecula. read more

Extremely disappointed with the customer service today. We ordered our food and specifically ordered my daughter's kids pizza first so she could eat sooner. The only thing that ever came out was her pizza. After waiting an hour and a half, we still never received the rest of our food. What made the experience worse was that staff kept telling us the delay was because it was Mother's Day and they were busy, yet we watched multiple customers who came in after us receive their food before we did. It became obvious our order had been forgotten. To top it off, the manager, Jamari, was very rude and unprofessional toward my mother. She repeatedly interrupted her while she was trying to explain the issue instead of listening and helping resolve it respectfully. The pizza my husband ordered was very delicious, the sauce had lots of flavor and he even said it will be something he can see himself craving again.The kiddos plates are even large, and delicious for kiddos. We have been wanting to try this place out and decided to dine here with good friends that we spent extended time in Italy with this year. Reservations for 4 at 6:00 pm, table ready and we were sat immediately. We had not had enough time to crack open our menu and our server was standing over us inquiring to what we would like to order tonight. This repeated twice before we were able to respond with our menu choices. We ordered Caesar Salad and Clam Chowder to start, I opted for Spaghetti Carbonara and wife had the Mussels for main course. Everybody's Caesar Salad came out and they started while I could see from my seat the clam chowder sitting under a heat lamp and server positioned behind register counting receipts. After a bit she realized my soup was not served and went back and got it. No apology, just sat it down and on her way. Main course came out before wife could finish salad. We kept salad at table to enjoy but with such a small table we needed to unload the dish to make ample space for main course dishes. As for quality: Clam Chowder was ok, decent flavor but consistency was thin and far from traditional. Caesar salad was good but they overcharged for anchovies. My wife enjoyed the mussels but they were small and 2 of the mussels needed to be tossed as they did not open. Shame on the chef for serving them. The Spaghetti Carbonara was just ok. I was hoping for a game changer but instead received a dish that was far from spectacular. To sum it up, food was not as good as I expected based on reviews and service was all over the place. Also, it would go along way if servers would smile. Frowns bring negative energy in which a friendly smile or gesture goes a long way in helping overlook little flaws or mistakes.
