Me and my wife always come here when we're in town. We travel from out of town and stay Pachanga hotel and casino. This place has always been our go to Mexican restaurant when we come down here. We came on cinco de mayo which was busy and we had waited 20 minutes for a table which we expected. So we placed are order. Wife asked for the 2 taco special with no sour cream. I order the same thing with no cheese or sour cream. I did that cause I'm lactose intolerant. The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". Packed doesn't always mean good. This place is dingy, outdated, and feels very low budget. The host didn't even greet us or she was just non verbal. Second red flag. Drinks were terrible margaritas tasted like cheap mix and weren't even shaken. Chips and salsa were worse. The "salsa" tasted like straight tomato sauce with old onions. Definitely NOT Authentic Mexican Food! We ordered birria tacos and carne asada fries and couldn't even eat them. Everything was greasy, tasted old, and the beans smelled off. Terrible Just Awful! We tried their Taco Tuesday special this week and were so disappointed. The taco shells on the crispy ones were very hard and would break apart with each bite. The texture of the soft taco tortillas was inadequate, needed to be juicier. The potato taco was too mushy and flavorless. Beans and rice not like real homemade. Don't bother with the house margarita, I didn't even finish it. We hadn't been here in a few years and used to like it, but at these prices, no thanks. read more

We have been here several times and always happy with the food and service. We went 5/11 at 5:30PM. The hostess never greeted us, took us to our table and never spoke a word. Incredibly rude! Our server was friendly but never checked on us or asked how our meals were. The chips were stale and asked 3 times and 2 different people if we could have fresh chips. We ran out of salsa and water. It was terrible! So disappointed and don't plan on going back. As for the server, she needs to be trained to smile and say hello! read more

Whenever I visit back home this is the first stop we make when we go out to eat. From the hot and fresh chips and salsa to the entrees and the customer service it's unmatched. We chose to sit outside this time and it was so nice as the had a live band and the weather was nice. We ordered a large margarita and fajitas and they were both so good. I will have to give them a one star, not based on the food but based on the service. I have been going to Guadalajara for several years every 3-4 months during my stay in Temecula. This restaurant was ALWAYS on my list no matter what day, what time I'm there, and I always get the same order (two ground beef taco meal/ no sour cream) Today ordering this meal (my husband ordered a taco same way no cheese and beef fajita dinner) we were told there cannot do because it's Cinco de Mayo, the server said she would try but she wasn't sure. Shortly after, the "manager" (unsolicited) came over to tell us there are no substitutions because it's Cinco de Mayo. We got up and left. We went down the street to Rosa's tortilla factory. We had a wonderful meal (3 ground beef tacos beans and rice x 2) all for $14.40, total! How unfortunate that I lost a place (and they lost a customer) that was close to my heart. But I cannot go there again...I don't see how not adding sour cream is a substitution...they have to build the taco, just don't put it on. What's the big deal. This Mexican food restaurant was overwhelmed on Cinco de Mayo. Really... I would encourage people looking for good Mexican food to give Rosa Tortilla factory a try, it's right down the street from Guadalajara. You may be pleasantly surprised. read more

This is hands down my favorite Mexican food spot--nothing else even comes close. Everything on the menu is incredible, from the tamales (which are absolutely amazing) to the enchiladas, tacos, tostadas... honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order. The flavors are so authentic and consistently delicious every single time. If I'm anywhere nearby, I always make it a point to stop in--it's that good. Yes, the wait can get long, but it just proves how loved this place is, and it's 100% worth it. Their margaritas are fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you're getting. The service is just as impressive as the food. The hostesses are always so warm and welcoming, and every server I've had has been attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. Even my picky kids devour the tamales, which says a lot! The atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and inviting, and the restaurant is always clean--including the bathrooms, which I really appreciate. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE! AT LEAST NOT UNTIL THEY HONOR THE PRICES FROM THEIR WEBSITE & WHAT THEY WRITE IN THEIR OWN WORDS ON YELP! In their restaurant's own words on their Yelp listing - "Happy Hour margaritas are $5." Yet they tried to charge me 40% more! The restaurant's own website says the Happy Hour margaritas are $5.99". Yet they tried to charge me 17% more! And the manager refused to honor those published Yelp prices for all our margaritas! That is flat out a violation of state law! I am a former managing partner of a very highly rated restaurant & bar. I also have brokered the lease & sale of many restaurants, plus have consulted for many more. So I know what is reasonable, and this was NOT! They are also chintzy with chips & salsa - just two tiny bowls of salsa & one small basket of chips - even though we spent nearly $100 on dinner & drinks for 2. Thus there was not near enough for our fajitas & tacos. Adding to the restaurant's abuses - for a huge order of fajitas they gave only 3 tortillas! So we had to pay for more! Ironically the food is actually pretty good, though way overpriced for typical Mexican food. Unless the owner & manager apologize publicly and change their terrible policies, no one should ever eat here! I sure won't, and I'm gonna tell my friends & clients who are some of the largest employers in the Temecula Valley to tell their employees. There are plenty of better Mexican restaurants in the area who do biz the right way... And if you do choose to eat here - demand the $5 Happy Hour margaritas! If they won't - walk out! read more

I kept driving by and seeing a full parking lot, so I decided to check it out with my mom since she had been craving Mexican food. There was no one at the host stand when we arrived, so it took a bit to get seated. However, our server, Kat, was super friendly and personable. Yummy chips and salsa seem to be included with the meal. The portion size was substantial, and the chicken flautas were delicious. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla and a bean and cheese burrito covered in red sauce but will be eating them tomorrow because we were only able to get through the flautas. We are still full as I type this an hour later. There were a couple of hiccups in getting our order right, but Kat kindly fixed everything. A few years ago I could say this place was amazing. We just had lunch there today and the food was awful. Clearly this place has become all about "QUANTITY " & NOT "QUALITY ". It's right off the 15 freeway, just five mins away from the entrance to Old Town Temecula. It's got a great amount of seating, plenty of booths and comfy cushions. Guadalajara features Mexican seafood options, iconic fajitas, yummy burritos, fresh tacos and plenty of adult beverages. How was the food? The table chips were great, I ate the whole basket. As for dinner, I highly suggest the Shrimp Fajitas, they had perfectly cooked shrimp and a nice mixture of fresh veggies. My order came with 3 homemade tortillas. Live music is played after 6pm on select days and it's a HIT! I saw so many people lined up to eat and enjoy. I'd categorize this spot as family-friendly, it's clean and inviting! I didn't see people drinking irresponsibly or acting a fool. The staff were pretty nice, although we didn't get refills in a timely manner. I loved the souvenir photos that are offered. Last week got a burrito wet as normal and the meat tasted off... later that night got profusely sick both ends.... Top things off I asked for a topshelf margarita specific way with certain tequila and saw him make two of them the wrong way & asked if he added the tequila & lied to me because he was too busy & thought I didn't see it! I never wanna be that guy so I hate to remake anything and if I'm paying for it I want it the way I asked, it's not difficult... it's like I was putting them out to make my drink?!?! Don't like being lied too and I gave them 2 chances. Made me think how many times do they lie to customers in the restaurant who can't see what they're making and paying extra for it... What a great place. Kind of off the beaten path, tucked away in a business district, but don't let that fool you. Check-in is quick and friendly, with wait staff ready for your drink orders. Chips and salsa came next, and wow, it was good. Just enough heat, not too much, and great flavor. Born and raised in Los Angeles, I know mexican food, and this place raises the bar. Great food each time, and plentiful portions. You wont find a tablespoon of meat in a taco here, but a full serving. What a great place. A very popular spot in Temecula. The wait was about 30 minutes and well worth it. The place was packed and standing room only. We secured a high top table at the bar area after about 15 minutes. Ricky was very helpful and took our drink order with my wife having the blended margarita and I had a Cadillac. Ricky brought them to the table within minutes and had chips and salsa delivered as well. Alfonso was our other server and took our order. My wife and I both had the enchiladas suizas and I also had a dinner salad as well. The food was fantastic. Kat came by regularly to check on us and make sure everything was going well. Mistake number one, we went on Cinco de Mayo. We went early afternoon but it was still packed and clearly they were rushing the food. The table was sticky and the salt/pepper/hot sauce bottles were dirty. Mistake number two, I ordered chilaquiles. Yes, it's a breakfast food but you should be able to make it any time of day. I ordered it with chicken instead of steak. What showed up more of a deconstructed chilaquiles. There were chips off to the side covered in green sauce. The other side of the plate had beans and rice. Two eggs were somewhere in the middle and a solo dry chicken breast portion was towards the back of the plate. There was no way to eat this as a traditional chilaquiles. Overall my food was a 2/10. My hubs got the macho burrito and he enjoyed it. I honestly don't understand how this place has decent ratings. From the moment we walked in, things felt off. The service was slow and inattentive--our server barely checked on us, and we had to flag someone down just to get water refills. The food was the biggest disappointment. Everything tasted bland and oddly greasy at the same time, like it had been sitting around too long before being served. The tacos were soggy, the rice was dry, and the beans had a strange aftertaste. Nothing felt fresh, which is kind of the bare minimum for a Mexican restaurant. To make matters worse, the prices didn't match the quality at all. You'd expect something decent for what they're charging, but this felt like overpriced fast food pretending to be authentic. Overall, I wouldn't come back or recommend it. There are way better options out there that actually care about quality and customer experience. We were on the waitlist for about 30 mins before we got seated so do come early! When we got seated the servers were pretty busy so it took awhile for us to get our orders in, but when we did our food came out pretty quickly. I ordered the Enmoldas and it was OK I've had better mole and the chicken was bland. Not sure if I would order it again. The Sizzling fish on the skillet came out sizzling and it was dry and salty. Alot of reviews is why my brother chose this place. It was pretty standard to my tasting. Good but not great! Service was good, food was a bit slow but he did warn us and that didn't bother me. We got to sit outside and the weather was great. We got all sorts of food, tamale, chile relleno, rice beans, the meatball soup, menudo, all good! portions are pretty big had a little leftovers which is a treat. Nice option in the area. The resistant is spacious and our server was attentive. Our large group was seated right away. The beans and rice were very tasty and delicious. Steak & Shrimp Fajita Platter was excellent: A+ except the tortillas came out and were served after much of it was eaten, so more like a bowl than a fajita. Our server did not notice we were without tortillas for awhile. The dish was excellent and cooked perfectly. The ambiance is cool and relaxed. Our new favorite Mexican restaurant. We originally came for lunch with my in laws and ordered fajitas for two. It was good so we of course decided to come back. We came back for a dinner date night and discovered that they have a weekend dinner menu. The Acapulco grill combo seemed too good to be true because it said for $54.99 you get steak, chicken and lobster with veggies. Plus side plates with beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, and an orange slice. We always have food left over to take home. I wasn't too impressed with their drinks the first two times but the last time I ordered the watermelon margarita and that is now my go to drink there. I wanted to order the flight but you aren't able to select the flavors. The server said it's just whatever they have at that time so I decided to pass on it. I decided to order and try the cheese crisp and forgot to check in on Yelp. Reminder to not forget to check in on Yelp to get a complimentary cheese crisp. It's almost like a quesadilla. I went to the hostess an asked about our table. She informed me that she called us for our table. We were sitting at the bar 20 feet away from her. I notified the manager about the fact that she never called us for the table, but he was indifferent. He told me that "they were very busy".
