One thing I've noticed in Temecula is that the service is excellent almost everywhere, and this place was one of the best. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. Surprised how good this place actually was and I'm from SD so that tells you a lot. Their hot sauces were fire too! Located in the front/beginning of Old Town so you will have to find street parking. We went on a Friday morning around 11am so parking wasn't an issue. We opted to sit outside their raised patio and it was nice out. They weren't too busy, maybe a couple tables inside with guests. After we came, people started trickling in as well and sat outside. We were seated right away and needed a couple more minutes to look over the menu. After that, it took the young waiter awhile to get back to us and I went to the bathroom I saw him standing and just conversing with another coworker. No problem because another worker named Juan ended up coming to the rescue and was our waiter the whole time from start to finish. He was very attentive and checked up on his often so he was super friendly. Thank you, Juan! We ordered some cocktails (hibiscus margarita and Mexican mule) but they were more so just sweet and I honestly didn't taste any alcohol. They offer complimentary chips and salsa which is nice and Juan even refilled that for us. We ordered carne asada loaded fries, fiesta platter with all beef, and quesabirria tacos. Not going to lie they are on the pricier side but given the location of tourists it is understandable. But the good thing is it tastes just like local Mexican drive thrus like back in SD. They brought out extra hot sauce that I requested. They mentioned 1 was mild and the other was spicy. There was a nice kick and both were well flavored and not just watery and tasteless. I am extremely disappointed with my experience. I called on Tuesday to make a reservation for Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 PM for my birthday celebration. The employee took my name and phone number and confirmed the reservation. My family and I drove an hour to get there, only to be told upon arrival that there was no reservation under my name. We were a party of 8, and as someone who is pregnant, hungry, and celebrating a special occasion, this was incredibly frustrating and upsetting. What made the situation even worse was the way it was handled. The host simply dismissed us instead of showing any concern or attempting to find a solution. We were also told there was no manager available to speak with. Mistakes happen, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled, and unfortunately this experience fell far below expectations. After planning ahead, making a reservation days in advance, and driving an hour for my birthday celebration, I expected much better communication and customer care. Instead, we were left feeling inconvenienced, disappointed, and unvalued as customers. Sadly, this experience put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. read more

This gem is located in Old Town Temecula. Parking: Parking can be a bit tricky. There's street parking and a parking lot. Street parking is difficult to find. Careful for pedestrians. I highly recommend parking in the lot on 2nd and Main St. Ambiance/Environment: It was busy on a Saturday night during dinner. They have a large space with plenty of indoor seating. The music is lit and loud enough to have a conversation. The decor on the walls is very cute. The tables, chairs, and booths are kept clean. Service: I was greeted immediately when I came in. Every worker was on their game that night. I was checked on multiple times. Thank you Bri for making my birthday special! I didn't tell her it was my birthday, but she checked my ID and offered complimentary churros. Such a sweet gesture! Food & drinks: I ordered a Casa Strawberry Margarita and Quesabirria Tacos with a side of rice and beans. The margarita was definitely fruity & strong. I really like the cup that it was served in. The birria tacos were sooo delicious! It was seasoned well, and they stuffed the tacos! The consome was a bit salty for me, but paired well with the tacos. Pricing: Usually rice and beans are included with entrees (at least at other Mexican restaurants I've been to). I was told rice and beans cost an extra $5 which I thought was excessive. We were at the Temecula Rod Run and wanted lunch. Landeros had been recommended to us so we gave them a try. So glad we did! Our server Chris was outstanding! For starters, the chips, salsa and margaritas were the perfect kick off! I had the chile verde burrito and my wife had the chile verde chilaquiles. Both were delicious! Everything about this place delivered a great experience. It's located in the Old Town Temecula so parking is a little tight but a walk through the town is very nice. We went for lunch and enjoyed the beautiful indoor dining with detailed decor. The decorative tree in the middle of the restaurant was a beautiful touch and the wall had Sombreros that looked good. Miguel did a phenomenal job with excellent service. He went above and beyond with providing the best service. We ordered chicken enchiladas and shrimp ceviche. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and good portion size. The chips and salsa they serve before your meal were crispy and tasted great. I've been here once before and remembered the food and aesthetic to be great, but this experience was pretty bad. I know they were busy (but not thaaat busy) and our food took forever. To get waters was really like 10-15 minutes before we even saw our waitress. Food orders were missing things and got weird looks if we asked to split the bill (just between two couples) or if something was missing with our order. I think our waitress was overwhelmed, but we were very hungry and my burrito did not satisfy. She was nice, but overall, the employees weren't very friendly or professional. read more

We came here for the first time after wanting to try it. Sat down quickly around 5 pm. I noticed people kept coming into the restaurant beginning at 5:15 pm. Adriana was our server and she was delightful. She answered our questions on the menu and was very kind and thorough. We couldn't decide what we wanted to eat as there were so many options. Adriana helped out out. Our food was fantastic. So tasty and hot when we got it. The Queso Fundido was delicious - don't hesitate on that choice. I ate the sizzling chicken fajitas and they were delicious. My partner at pollo asado as he was feeling something a little more simple. Also tasty. Kiddo had a kids meal. She explained that there was a 30 minute wait list and within 15 minutes we had a lovely table be the ornamental tree in the restaurant. Yarry was our server and he was professional, kind and efficient. We both ordered drinks as my wife had a margarita light on agave and I had a Cadillac margarita. There is indoor and outdoor seating, heads up, if you sit outside there are heaters! The restaurant is pretty small but I don't think reservations are accepted. I don't recommend large parties come during peak hours because of how limited seating is. It was so hard to choose...everything on the menu sounded so good. Lots of options but not an overwhelming amount to choose from. Only complaint, my ceviche was more like a shrimp cocktail, STILL delicious but not ceviche. Drinks are great, I think they use fresh juice so keep in mind they aren't as sweet as the sugary margarita mixes, but they were delicious and I prefer fresh juice!
