When my family comes into town, we make it a point to come to Aztek Tacos as my brother enjoys coming here. They have a wide variety on their menu. I always order their shrimp and steak burrito which has skirt steak, shrimp, cheese, mushrooms, guacamole and their house sauce. All the flavors mesh well in this burrito though from time to time I've noticed they don't cut the steak and its one huge piece of steak in the burrito, which can sometimes make it a little difficult to eat. Other than that, its flavorful and the tortillas they use are fresh and delicious! Service is usually pretty quick and friendly. They'r e always great with recommendations. There is good amount of seating and its always pretty clean when we go. If you wanna do a quick pick up, you can even order ahead online! I had Aztec Tacos a few days ago after a long time ( as I moved out of state for years). I was happy to see it was still in business. The timing was early in the week in the afternoon, there was a short wait to place my order. I ordered pollo asado burrito and a fountain drink (the Jamaica was good!). It was only a few minutes after sitting down that my order was served. Huge burrito! And it was not skimpy on the protein or the cheese. Great customer service the lady at the counter was super friendly and gave great recommendations I wish I got her name. There is so much seating available here which is nice indoor, bar area seating and outdoors as well. Always nice to have options. The chicken tacos are pretty small for being $6.98 each. I remember them being bigger a few years ago. I do like the salsa bar though. I guess I will have to review the menu to find the best bang for the buck. read more

Authentic Mexican food! They make their own tortillas and it's fun to watch as they roll them out and warm them on the flat grill. Their salsas are fresh and authentic, at least I think so! My most favorite thing from here is their beef rolled tacos, which are three oversized taquitos stuffed with shredded beef and deep fried to a perfect crispness, smothered in shredded lettuce, white cheese, and topped with their homemade guacamole (I pass on the sour cream and ask for extra guacamole). Several years ago they added on a bar area with additional seating. That's a nice option for eat in and to enjoy a beer or cocktail. I do wish the salsa was sometimes not so spicy (it's supposed to be mild) but I still eat it because the flavors are so good. Shrimp orders are the way to go- the shrimp burrito is completely filled with shrimp. Mine had like, 40 shrimp in it. It was spectacular. Quesatacos are fire. Pollo asada is not pollo asada, it's cubed breast meat and dry. read more

For Temecula, this is great. For Southern California, this is just okay. For the sake of humanity, it will have to do... I go to Texas often and I've learned that texmex is not Mexican good. Living in temecula for a little over a year now, I've learned Mexican food here is hardly Mexican food. In fact, Temecula makes Taco Bell look like authentic Mexican food. Wednesday, 12-17-2024: We came here as a party of five (our grandson with his mom & dad and us, Papa & Yaya) after our grandson's recital. It wasn't too crowded when we entered so I made sure to secure a table ASAP. It's a good thing I did because we had beat the crowd. The eatery is on the small side but it's very clean and the exposed ducting gives it an industrial feel. Our food came out quickly and we found everything to be so flavorful! My Chile Relleno was made well and I savored it! Their chips were very good and we enjoyed the variety of salsas from their salsa bar. The staff were very nice and friendly. I ordered two taco asada plates with fries and a chile relleno combo. They never brought the fries. When I asked about it, I was told twice that the tacos don't come with fries. I explained I had added the fries to my order. They made it seem like they were going to do me a favor and give me fries but I pulled up my receipt to show them I had ordered and paid for fries on the side. No need to make your customer feel awkward over a mistake on your end. I was also given a chile relleno burrito instead of a chile relleno combo. This was my first and last time visiting Aztek Tacos. I went in for takeout. I went in specifically because they were one of the only places I could find with tortilla soup. At every Mexican taqueria I have visited and gotten soup, the chicken was shredded and part of the soup. The chicken in this soup had cubed grilled chicken and large chunks of bell pepper. It was not bad but definitely not the best. The service was ok, definitely not done with a smile. What made me even more convinced to not return is that I paid $19 for a cup of soup. It did not occur to me to ask how many ounces I would receive. This was not worth the money at all, and the portion size was ridiculous compared to what I paid. read more

This was a great find...we got the referral from the NextDoor app and made a note that we'd definitely check it out when on that side of town. And we are so glad we did! Order what was told a medium size bowl of Albondigas and side of chips was over $18. When I grabbed my bag I was like this is small for what I paid. Hadn't been out this way to give this place a try but had read the reviews, on Yelp...of course! I made a reason to visit...day off, no breakfast items at home yada yada yadA. Great service, counter attendant, Taylor, was pleasant and help with questions readily. Needed the breakfast burrito with Chorizo. Sat down at well cleaned dining room and hit the salsa bar. It had a variety of salsas + radishes, onions and lime. Very well done and clean. Taylor, counter attendant, also brought out the food to our table and asked if we needed anything else, now this is good service for a taco shop. Was in this shopping center to eat at a restaurant next door not realizing they were closed on Mondays, so i tried thos place instead. I ordered a single shrimp taco cost was over $7 dollars. Once i got it i could tell they weren't serving quality shrimp. They were the small size shrimp hardly seasoned at all. I have come to this place once before and ordered a burrito which was disappointing as well not coming back here again the only good thing they had was their salsa . Recommend to the owners add a little cabbage to your tacos and seasoning. Also even just a few chips on the side for presentation. read more

My review is more of a 3.5 star. This place has been here for a very long time and the food is and has always been great. Tortillas are made fresh and by hand, but i went recently after not having been in a long time and the prices have become outrageous. Burritos average $16-21 depending on the meat you choose. Tacos are $7-8. If you eat alot of mexican food, you know thats insane. I got 2 tacos priced @ $6.98 each so my total was roughly $14. Again,, for 2 tacos. Yes the food is good and the workers are nice but i cant sanely justify spending $7 for a taco when there are many places that are also great and cheaper, so for that, i wont be back to eat here anymore. read more
