    Size comparison--Machaca Burrito
    Desiree P.

What started with my friend asking me if I want tacos ended with us ordering breakfast burritos. Which just means I need to go back for tacos. The burrito was piping hot and delicious, but my personal preference it was missing refried beans and potatoes. I'd get it again, but ask for add-ons for sure. Which will then totally put you into food coma. But isn't that the sign of a good restaurant?!

So back here for a dinner burrito. Trying to find a good standard of comparison so trying California Burritos at as many places I can find. I've already reviewed location and customer service, and in the evening it's a bit busier but staff were still incredibly friendly. They keep it clean and smelling great, definitely what I would expect from a good burrito spot. So the burrito I got is the Cali Supreme, partly because I didn't see the standard California burrito until after I ordered, but also I think the California has potatoes and the supreme has fries? So, glad I went with the Cali Supreme, not only did I want fries, but these fries were great. They were crispy! The crunch to contrast the creamy melted cheese, sour cream and guacamole and the chew of the carne asada was very pleasing. The flavors were all nicely balanced and the only thing I felt was missing had nothing to do with the burrito, the salsa bar lacks heat. But the burrito was a pleasant surprise after a good, but unexciting breakfast burrito experience. 4.9 on the Cali Supreme Burrito with the crispy fries! I don't know if this is there standard or the cook that was working that night, so maybe ask for the fries to be crispy if that's what you want, since I know for sure that's not a common preparation.

Temecula might not be a big city, but the traffic sure is a pain in the shopping district. During the 11-day election cycle at the public library, I had to find closer options to fit within the 1hr lunch timeslot, so this restaurant fit the bill. A co-worker mentioned that it's a good spot, so that also shaped my decision. Inside it's not exactly modern or comfy, I imagine a lot of business is probably take-out, but I did find a clean table to wait for my meal to be ready. I got a few salsas from the salsa bar and sat down. Before long, my reasonably priced rolled taco plate came out. I got one apiece of shredded beef and chicken. It looked really good, and not simply because I was starving. The rice and beans really stood out as excellent. The tacos were equally tasty and I felt just right afterwards. Neither too full, or still hungry. Fantastic QPR here, and friendly service. As noted, the dining area is more an option, and the heat and smells of the kitchen might be more obvious on a hot summer day. Nonetheless, I recommend them highly.

Came into this location the other day for the first time and it smelled so good inside. I ordered two California burritos and it was like $24. Oh! They do military discount here! The burritos were good and a great size. The only thing I didn't like was the hot sauce is a self serve bar and it didn't look restocked nor did it look clean. I would have liked to have some spicy hot sauce with my burrito but I guess not. The worker was just okay, kinda rude at the end when telling me about the hot sauce. They had a coffee station here too which was cool. They also cater but they're kind of expensive. Overall good food here but otherwise the ambiance and customer service is just mediocre.

Been here a few times and the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. Good prices and Convenient option for Mexican food when in the area.

Don't be fooled... that guacamole is extremely watered down!! I couldn't tell if it was watered down salsa!! Disappointing!!

Went here for breakfast at the advice of a coworker... big mistake!! I should've stuck w my regular spot Familia Grill. I ordered 5 rolled tacos.... *Barely any meat in it. Like meat strings in there *Guacamole was hella watered down The while this g was extremely bland!! I regret coming here. I spent a whole entire $9 & change for this. Had I spent another $2 more and went to Familia Grill instead, my rolled tacos would've had meat, guacamole would've been better and I would've been happy. Do not come here unless you want low quality Mexican food. Such a bummer!! Very disappointing!!!

    3. Two Enchiladas

Our first time here and not impressed. I ordered the 2 enchilada lunch and asked for onion on top, no lettuce. I was charged an extra dollar for the onion (which is inexpensive to buy) and still got lettuce which is pricy to buy right now. The chile sauce was tasteless, the cheese stringy, and the tortillas soggy. I had trouble cutting a piece off of the enchilada to eat with a fork. Hubby got the asada burrito which was just meat and a bit of onion/cilantro mix, no guacamole. It was large enough for two though as we have small appetites. Should have passed on the enchiladas as hubby brought half of his burrito home. Won't be going back, Del Taco would have been better.

Some of the best rolled tacos I ever had. Honestly! I'm in the middle of eating them right now while writing this review. I had to share with everyone lol Every one here was so nice too. Welcoming right when I walked in.

This was our first visit to this taco shop. The Restaurant was cleanish but dated. I say "cleanish" because the tables were mostly clean but the floor was a mess. The Employees were friendly and helpful. There were a few people eating inside and a couple at outside tables. We ordered cheese enchiladas ($10.50), an al pastor burrito ($11.99) carne asada fries ($14.99) A side of rice 1/2 pint ($3.75) The cheese Enchiladas were delicious, they had lettuce on top which we love. The Al pastor burrito was delicious meat was perfectly cooked. The carne asada fries were on point. Great flavor, meat was perfectly cooked. They have a salsa bar there with several choices of salsa. A couple HOT and a mild one. We took containers of all to try and none of the four of us cared for any of them. The guacamole was flavorless. We paid $56.26 for the four meals.

This place has always been our go to Mexican restaurant when we come down here. We came on cinco de mayo which was busy and we had waited 20 minutes for a table which we expected. So we placed are order. Wife asked for the 2 taco special with no sour cream. I order the same thing with no cheese or sour cream. I did that cause I'm lactose intolerant. The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". I will never recommend Guadalajara to anyone anymore cause they couldn't handle a simple request.

During my visit, the level of customer service provided was excellent! Extremely attentive, professional, friendly, and genuine. I selected the Chile Verde Wet Burrito, and Kaylen suggested the Mojarra (Deep Fried Whole Fish) served with refried beans, Spanish rice, and a choice of corn or flour tortillas. Both entrees exceeded my expectations, and I was overjoyed by their flavor profiles. The Chile Verde Burrito was packed with succulent, tender pork, rice, beans, and cheese, with just the right amount of heat. As for the fish, it was crispy and seasoned just right. The server was attentive and kept checking in on us. Now the food. When we were sat down, we were given complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were perfect and not overly salty or greasy. The salsa was very mild and had a great flavor. I ordered a 2 taco combo plate ($14.95) with carne asada and carnitas. The carne asada was just okay, it was cut into thicker piece, which is not my preference. It was also topped with guacamole, which was not the best I've had. The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.
