One of my favorite Taco Tuesday spots. Great salsas too! Very quick to go orders as well.

Stopped by for a quick bite before a show at Pechanga and was pleasantly surprised with the food, service and salsa selection. I refer to these places as California or SD style Mexican food and usually order accordingly. We didn't want any leftovers for just ordered the beef taquitos and a hard shell chicken taco. The taco was amazing. Chicken tasted like it was shredded off the bone and not just boneless chicken breast which we find boring. Great flavors and chunks of meat which gave a home style taste and texture. The taquitos were as expected. Couldn't taste the meat and guac a little watery, but hit the spot if you know what to expect and roll with it. Salsas were all really great, but the chipotle one was our favorite. Friendly service as well and clean inside. Happy to have stopped by and would go back again to try a few more items. read more

I'm looking for the best breakfast burrito in the area and this is my opinion for Los Jilbertos' Bacon breakfast burrito. The Burrito came out nice and hot, probably should have let it sit for a minute longer to let all the cheese melt before cutting it in half. Bacon was crispy, crunch on every piece if you're looking for that texture element. Cheese and egg were distributed throughout, but the potato was a little overwhelming and under seasoned. They also use a hash brown or shoe string style potato that makes the burrito feel more full of filler rather than flavor (egg, cheese, and potato). Personal preference, but I feel like it's the same sin as overloading a burrito with rice and not enough of the good stuff. Salsa helped cut some of the starchiness. Next time I'll try the sausage breakfast burrito as this was the next 3 orders after mine, maybe better? 3 stars for the bacon burrito 5 stars for the service 4 stars for the restaurant building, location and dining area (including salsa bar) Overall solid convenient choice near the freeway and Pechanga. read more

I've been coming here for the last couple of years, and it's become one of my go-to spots for Mexican food. I almost always get the carne asada nachos--lately, they've been so good! Super loaded, fresh, and definitely enough to share with my two daughters. I always get a side of beans too, and they never disappoint--the beans are honestly some of the best around. Ordered 2 sausage breakfast burritos this morning only to discover upon getting home, there was no egg inside. Called & was first placed on hold. Was told by Maricela that "they didn't tell her anything". Not sure what that meant...and that I needed to come back with the burritos to get credit or replacement. We order from this establishment often & love it. Never had an issue. Until today. First time that a restaurant doesn't take your word for it. Why would I call if things were perfect?! I came here on a Monday evening after my winery trip because my usual Krispy Crunchy Chicken was closed. I've probably only eaten here once 10 plus years ago. The cashier said her fav meat is the pastor. A customer recommended the torta. The pastor torta did not disappoint. The meat was thinnly sliced and tender. The bread was amazing and not thick and hard. This was a very tasty and huge sandwich. I don't remember if there were beans on it because I was tipsy and starving. The salsas were amazing. The sandwich was $10 but that's all you need. They are pricey for Mexican food but I'm not sure if that's a norm or the covid inflation. read more

Came here just before the lunch rush and it was already a bit busy. I really wanted a fat burrito and this place does not mess around. We ordered the Cali and Nak burritos and both were formidable. Huge, heavy, and stuffed with meat. I struggled a bit to finish my burrito and I'm super pregnant. Stopped in for a B&C burrito. The bag was pretty light and not warm, but I didn't think too much into it. Took me @ 10 minutes to get home. Opened the bag up and found a cold, skinny, rolled taco size burrito. Unrolled the tortilla and found @ 3-4 tablespoons of beans and a few cold chunks of shredded cheese. Beans were sour. This location used to be really good, but the last two times I went it was just okay. The carne asada burrito is a favorite of many southern Californians, and this one was good, but not great. The carne was a little dry, which even with salsa added, it wasn't juicy. I'm also a fan of hot carrots, but these were a little over cooked and lacked any heat. I remember this place being so much better, overall for over $65 for 4 burritos and 4 drinks, I expect a little more. Hope they can improve as it's closer to my home, but if not, I'll be headed to the one over by the mall, which is consistently better. read more

The Riverside restaurant near the University was my first visit a decade ago, then I discovered a taco shop hidden in Murrieta and then this one in Temecula! I'm not saying it's a great sit down, hire a baby sitter, take your significant other out type of spot. But if your looking for a quick bite to go, hole in the wall type place..this is the place. Pros: - great carne - vast selection, so much, you'll find something you like and keep it there - chips...the CHIPS!! The ONLY place that provides banging chips for what they're charging. We had the worst service at this place. The workers had an attitude with us our entire time. We came in an hour before closing and they we're treating us like we were completely inconveniencing them. Food was good, but with the way they we're treating us, we fully expected they had spit in our food or something. I work in the wine industry & know all about closing & the customer service that goes hand in hand with that. BEST carne asada burrito out there! We drive 25 minutes to eat here. Looks like a hole in the wall next to a dentist and a stbx. Go in, you won't be sorry. The meat is super flavorful the pico and guac combo is perfection! It's pretty big, super stuffed with meat. I have to cut it in half but it's a win win because I get two meals out of it. Score!
