We visited The Creekside Grille for my birthday lunch in the summer of 2026. Dining was outside under misters on a hot summer day. Two of us ordered fish specials that were excellent and the other party member ordered a sandwich. Atmosphere and service were great and they included a complimentary birthday dessert and a 'cork' necklace. While there, we went into the gift shop/wine tasting area, took a peek at the vineyards and looked around the vendor stands that were selling jewelry, crafts and clothes, etc. The place was really busy and lively. There was supposed to be live music starting at 1pm according to the web site, but I didn't hear/see any, so that was disappointing. The only downside was I could only make a reservation at noon or BEFORE, so I made one for noon. I would have liked a slightly later reservation, but since they didn't do that for some strange reason and I didn't want to risk 'walking up', we went for noon. Note: Their bottles of almond bubbly (and other flavors) are less expensive at other retail outlets than on-site at Wilson Creek. (You'd think it would be the opposite!) SERVICE 10/10: I believe our server was ramiro. Attentive and efficient. Kind enough to show us the barrel room and gave us a little tour! Also provided us a a delicious lava cake to celebrate friends bday. RESERVATIONS: online reservations but accepts walk ins. There was no wait at all so easily got a table at 6:30 pm on a Friday night. PARKING: ample parking and it's free. Dirt roads. No pavements. I believe there's valet. There were men standing at the valet booth greeting everyone. Smoking area near the parking lot to the left of the valet and building, with provided ash dispensers. AMBIANCE: Theres performances on Friday nights and people dancing on the dance floor in the winery area and the restaurant is in the same area. So, we got to enjoy live music, a delicious dinner, and enjoy people watching. FOODS: Beef short rib 10/10 - sweet and savory paired perfect with the tanginess of the cherry tomatoes Crispy baby artichoke- 8/10. Perfectly crispy and paired well with the lemony sauce they have on the side. Chicken almondsecco- 9.5/10. I know it looks a little much but it tastes so good. It is on the heavier side due to the brown farro butter but man, worth the calories. We came on a Monday; the waiter was great. We ordered the burger (who can mess up a burger).... The burger was ice cold, and the veggies were wilted. We asked for a redo, which took almost 20 minutes. By that time, we finished our fried and side salad. The fries were cold and half the size of the other fries coming out, even though we charged an additional $16 for a side of fries. When it was all said and done, we paid $50 for a cold burger, fries, and a small side salad. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME WE HAVE TRIED EATING HERE, AND 3 TIMES IT HAS DISAPPOINTED US, TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT. read more

The pappardelle vegetable pasta was creamy and flavorful. The standout dessert was definitely the vanilla lavender crème brûlée, absolutely amazing with a smooth custard texture. The turkey sandwich was the only disappointment. The meat itself was fine, but the sandwich felt dry and the toast tasted a bit stale. I sent it back and the waiter credited only half. The charcuterie was weird with odd ends just placed on there - cold Brussel sprouts, old hard boiled eggs and hard bread - just strange. I assumed they would have inside and outside seating and they don't. All their seating is outside, which on a beautiful day is perfect, but not when it's very hot. Last night was very warm at dinner time and their misters were turned off and the fans not moving any air. It was really unpleasant. I am not marking them down on that though as I didn't check on this. The real disappointment centered on the food and towards the end, the service. The food took an excessive amount of time to be served and by the time it arrived we were miserably warm and hungry. I ordered the sweet pea ravioli which sounded really good. The ravioli itself was delicious, but was completely smothered in a thick, claggy cheese sauce that was like a bad risotto in consistency. It completely overwhelmed the dish making it hard to enjoy the raviolis. My husband ordered the Branzino which was hard and almost impossible to eat due to all the bones it had. My friend ordered a turkey sandwich, which looked most unappetizing when it arrived. The thick slices of bread appeared dry and the sandwich was bland. The service was somewhat ok in the beginning, then after that we rarely saw our server and in the end my husband ended up having to take the bill and pay at the entry, Eventhough this review dictates 1-2 stars I gave them 3 as the ambience was nice and it was good to see a family business doing so well. Beautiful grounds, vineyards and tasting rooms. The food was good, I wouldn't say great but definitely good. The overall experience is what made it great. I only have one complaint and that is Wilson Creek winery needs to update their website. We went specifically for the "Bubble Brunch" which is bottomless mimosas along with the normal brunch fare. They no longer offer this brunch so it felt a little "bait and switchey". I will still return, it's still definitely a great experience but fair warning for anyone going for the Bubble Brunch, it no longer exists even though it's highlighted on their website. read more

My boyfriend and I came here after our wine tasting inside the shop next store. We ordered the charcuterie board, Gerry's Ruben, and wine slushie. The charcuterie board was good, but I felt that there was too much sweet stuff to paired with the cheese and crackers; since I was also trying to enjoy my wine slushie. I just wish the charcuterie board had more savory options. Other than that, Gerry's Ruben was an amazing sandwich; which is probably one of the best sandwich I've ever had. Our waiter was really nice and gave us a chocolate lava cake for our anniversary celebration and it was delicious. Why did we come here a second time? Well it was because my little kid thought the place looked neat. It does look neat. It looks very neat, but this review is not about how neat the place looked. It's about the quality of the food and the service. Trust me, nothing neat about it. The server forgot we existed. There was about a 20 minute gap between being seated and being acknowledged. In fact, from the moment we sat down to when we placed our order took about 35 minutes. So from the moment we sat down to when we actually got our food took about an hour. Let's talk about the food. Again, it is our second time. There was nothing impressive about the food especially for the price the first time we came. But coming the 2nd time we can now compare both experiences and quality. This second trip confirmed to me that the microwave is a major tool in the kitchen. You order, they microwave, and serve. The server was really proud of their rueben sandwhich. To avoid order what i got last time, I settled for this. Itis the worst rueben sandwhich I have ever had in my life. The homemade potato chips was really good the first time. It was the one thing I enjoyed on the entire table during our first trip. This time, what we got served mustve been the chips they made the day before. it is great fresh, but reheated and served the next day? It was absolutely terrible. For a party of 6 that included two kids eating from the kids menu, our bill was just shy of $300. We would've had a better experience spending $50 at the food court at the mall. The winery itself, Wilson Creek, is probably the most popular winery in Temecula Valley. I went to the host stand and immediately got seated. Our server was courteous and has extensive wine knowledge. However, we decided to have a peach sparkling wine instead. We order Caesar salad, which I wasn't impressed at all! The dressing was bland. Thank God the fries saved the day. There was a mishap and our order ended up taking about more than 40 minutes. The waiter was kindly enough to give us focaccia bread so we aren't starving. The reuben sandwich was a disappointment. Everything tastes salty and unanimous. The chips were great! I almost ordered it as a side. One dishes that stands out though, was the pasta with some kind of tomato sauce (not in the picture). Overall, it's worth to try for the ambiance since it's located in a winery. I was at the Winery where this restaurant is located and was hungry for some snacks. We were told that if we wanted to order something, we'd have to sit down at the restaurant and order as a sit in. We got the Garlic Pecorino Wedge Fries which came with calabrian pepper aioli, house thousand island, and ketchup sauces. My favorite was the thousand island. I've had lunch here before a few years ago and had the same thought, the food was fine but not memorable in my opinion. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Excellent food and service in an expansive, beautiful setting. Got together with three other couples for a holiday outing and we had a great time! Its huge grounds and dining areas were beautifully decorated for the holidays and it had a very festive air. We were seated at a large table in the patio, where roaring heaters kept us nice and toasty. We ordered a variety of appetizers to share: garlic fries, focaccia, meat and cheese board--all great. For my entree I got the Skuna salmon with polenta cakes and side salad. It was probably one of the best grilled pieces of salmon I've ever had--so perfectly tender with a nice char. They were totally cool with substitutions, which we really appreciated, as there were some dietary restrictions in our group. I enjoyed their food more than their wines, which I found to be on the sweeter side for my taste, but I wouldn't say anything was unsatisfactory. When we were done with our meal, we wanted to linger but didn't want to continue to take up the table, so our server suggested that we move up to an empty table on the second floor patio, allowing us to continue our party (and buy more wine). went to this restaurant before we started wine tasting to have food in our system! we got seated immediately at a table that seemed out of place/separated from the rest of the restaurant, and we later found out it's bc the table that was supposed to be next to it got combined with another table so our table was just left alone lol. this is important bc i feel like this is why our service wasn't good! our server Chelsea was nice, but she didn't check up on us at all after taking our food order in the beginning. i wanted a sangria but had to ask someone else bc she just wasn't coming by. so that put a big X on the service. the food was okay on our visit here. i had the burger which i asked for medium but it definitely was well done and dry, but the flavor was good. i ordered the wedge fries on the side bc i couldn't switch out the chips that came with the burgers which is fair, and the fries had a good flavor. lastly i had the sangria, which was the star of the show! but of course bc we're at wilson creek so of course the wine is going to be good haha. my boyfriend had the fish & chips, which was good buuuut he had bones in his fish which put a slight damper on his meal. overall the meal wasn't amazing and idk if we would come back for the food, but i would definitely come back for a glass of sangria! read more

Let's get into the food: the salmon was fabulous, it was the best dish we got. We also ordered the creek side burger, with it being their namesake I was expecting more. It was an average burger imo. It's very rare that I get to eat here, for two: 1. I forget to make a reservation 2. It is ALWAYS busy and fully booked (when I want to go Friday-Sundays). Story time: We walk up to the hostess (@1:00pm) who told us a table of 3 can be sat immediately but unfortunately they were booked for the day for parties of 4+ and to try again at 3:00pm to see if there were any cancellations. So we said okay and went to go get out tastings. About 20 minutes later we go check back in, she said there was a cancellation and sat all 5 of us. This customer services is why I keep coming back. Once we got sat they brought us the fried goat cheese balls. The Mariana sauce it was in had a little kick to it so it was dope. I am not an oyster fan, but my GF. Said they were amazing "10/10 recommended" The Brussel sprouts were good, perfect cooked, the sauce was some sort of cream/cheese sauce and the bacon topped it off. You can never go wrong with a solid potato wedge so they were crisp and the aioli and honey mustard were my top two sauces. Caesar salad was to be expected. The red berries on it i was not a fan of but everything was solid. Creek side burger was solid and those home made chips. Over all it was another top tier experience. We are wine members so we can use our discounts on food here as well. Any chance we can get in here we will. I've already written a review about how Wilson Creek was such a pleasant surprise and how the red wine especially impressed me after thinking this place was just a bachelorette almond champagne spot, but add on Creekside Grille, and it's a top Temecula winery for sure. First time dining at Creekside Grill. I was happily impressed! Came for lunch with seven others. Seated as soon as half of our party arrived. Tracy, our server was great! Asked if we wanted separate checks (we did!). Food took longer than expected to arrive. We weren't in a rush, it was a leisurely lunch. Nice touch was the complimentary cold cucumber mango "soup". A few of us ordered the Rueben sandwich--it was amazing! Tender, juicy, with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. Add their home made potatoes chips and yum! If you are a wine club member you have to get your glasses in the tasting room and bring it to the restaurant to have with your meal. That's something that has always bothered me about wineries with restaurants. I think they should serve loyal wine club members their complimentary glasses in the restaurant. Make reservations online. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday afternoon, so a good idea to make a reservation. I had a little problem getting the time adjusted, which required a live person to do over the phone. Seating is in the outdoor covered patio. It was a little warm, but misters helped. Service at the Wilson's in general was superb and this place included. I love that they were willing to split the check which is actually incredibly hard to find these days. I know it may not seem like a lot but the fact that server insisted it wasn't an issue was absolutely sweet and made the experience even better. We were also celebrating a birthday and she brought out plates and utensils for us. The food here was 3/5 overall but my mussels were amazing. I love the sausage and lemony taste, awesome suprise. The salad with salmon was also very delicious however the pizza was a bit too toasty for my liking. Super nice that they have this as an option after a wine tasting. The Creekside Grille is a well thought out and welcome addition since our last visit to Wilson Winery. The Menu is diverse and there's something here for everyone. We came to the Creekside Grille for Father's Day and were seated almost immediately. Yes we had Reservations, which are a must really during the summer. We tried several sweet and sparkling wines and found all to be outstanding. Wilson is known for their almond flavored sparkling wines (see photos). We started with some of their Garlic Fries ($13.00) and three dipping sauces. It was a nice and relaxing way to start off our visit. Next up, we ordered their breakfast Chiliquiles nachos w/Fried Eggs ($17.00), Fried Chicken and Belgium Waffles ($17, plus $9.00) and their huge Breakfast Burger ($22.00). The three of us shared each other's order and couldn't decide which was the best. All were very good and had wonderful layers of flavors which we throughly enjoyed. Five Stars. read more
