After tasting the wines, there was no doubt the wines were very good. The prime ribs were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus tasted surprisingly very flavorful and delicious. Usually a pescatarian dish, but I was really excited to taste their red wines which paired well with the hearty prime rib, and the pairing was palate perfect. Service from the staff, especially the server and the head chef was great. The head chef used work for Lisa Vanderpump and resided in Beverly Hills, so we had that connection and we chatted. From the moment we walked in, we had an excellent experience. Our server, Bobby, was friendly, attentive, and timed our food perfectly. I ordered the pancakes with bananas , my wife enjoyed the omelette with potatoes and a side of sourdough toast , and our granddaughter had the kids' meal with one egg, one pancake, and bacon . To drink, I had a delicious cup of coffee , and my wife enjoyed a sangria. Shortly after we placed our order, Bobby came back to let me know they had run out of bananas and asked if fresh berries would be an acceptable substitute. I agreed, and he sincerely apologized for the inconvenience. To my surprise, when my breakfast arrived, it had fresh bananas on it! Bobby explained that the kitchen manager had actually gone to the store to buy more bananas so they could fulfill my order. Wow--that is customer service! It speaks volumes about a team that truly cares about its guests and goes the extra mile to make sure they leave happy. Ordered room service and just expected more from such a nice winery/hotel. My aunt and I shared a Cesar salad, spicy rigatoni, and side garlic potatoes w/horseradish. The salad croutons were terrible and old, the Parmesan didn't taste fresh or authentic, the horseradish was just sour cream. Room service usually comes with little mini condiments and this had none. Not a horrible dinner but it was $99 and for mediocre food I found that extremely expensive. read more

I've stayed at this winery a few years back but had not ate at the restaurant. We visited the restaurant and it is three or four buildings. It is an outside area, two tasting rooms, a bar then you walk to the restaurant. I ordered the chilaqules, with a side if bacon and an IPA. the chilaqules was delicious, the breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and the side of bacon was good as well. While attending the sip and shop ladies day I decided to grab lunch in their beautiful restaurant. What drew my attention was the open beams. Unbeknownst to me, the owner is another buckeye from Ohio. Before coming down, I looked up information on the winery and discovered The Vineyard Rose Restaurant has been honored with the prestigious 2025 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the third consecutive year, so after shopping in the quaint gift shop and meandering through the banquet room where vendors were set up, I made myself comfortable at one of the tables. This place is so amazing! The decor and ambiance is so high end and fancy, beautiful exterior and interior. The customer service was great, we had Matt when we came in for their brunch and he was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the cali Benedict, and the chilaquiles. The chilaquiles were so good! To with I let him know it was a mushroom pasta, I thought it would have mushrooms, seasoning, something. He told me they don't have anything in the kitchen to make a sauce and everything is pre made. He said "we have mushrooms but they are far and it takes too Long" and then he went back to the kitchen came back again and told me they are too busy to do anything or make anything.... We had an average lunch but the hostess staff was incredibly rude, so rude I'll never be back or recommend. I made a reservation prior to my arrival and requested outdoor seating. I confirmed outdoor seating upon arrival, we waited 15 minutes to be sat outside at a table next to the doors. I requested a table further away on balcony (there were 3 open) and was told we couldn't sit there because they were reserved. I said yes, I made a reservation prior to asking to be sat there and confirmed seating at check in. She then back tracked and said well that waiter was just sat a large table of 4ppl (we were a party of 5), I said I'm happy to wait and she said okay well you have to go back and wait in the entrance area, we couldn't wait the 15 mins at the table. It was obscene to go and spend $250 on lunch for my family and have a hostess with attitude and lying about tables and seating. Our server was kind, and helped me choose a wine with lunch. I then went to the wine shop to purchase the Carter Cabernet Sauvignon I was served to find out it wasn't even a wine from this winery and I needed to go down the road to the Carter Vineyard or purchase it back at the restaurant for a higher price. Service, views, food were all on point We decided to get dinner before the concert held outside. The Batida de coco drink was really good! Yummy creamy coconut lime cocktail. We started off with the ceviche, Caesar salad, and hummus. The citrus soy miso vinaigrette on the ceviche was so good! You could pour that on anything and it would be good. The ceviche was fresh and the Caesar salad nice and crisp. The hummus was also really good with that addition of the chili oil. For dinner we all shared the gnocchi, braised short ribs, herb roasted chicken breast and pork chop. Everything was flavorful and tasted fresh. We decided to give this place a try for breakfast/lunch since we will be going to the wineries for the day.(Located inside South Coast Winery) We showed up around 930am and got sat right away. The Vineyard Rose is part of a wonderful resort hotel to which we have yet to stay, but we sure want to. The restaurant is so great. This time we had both breakfast and dinner there. The place is as clean and wonderful as it was the last time we were there. it is just lovely and there is dinning inside or outside, both are great. The service is now perfect. They get to you right away and check on you. Your food is delivered pretty fast and it is just great. This time we had for breakfast, the steak and eggs which has this wonderful mushroom seasoning, a tasty flat iron steak with fried eggs and wonderful roasted tomatoes and great potatoes. We loved every bite. We also had, smoked salmon toast which has avocado, cucumber a lemon dill yogurt a bite of caviar and sourdough bread. I don't know if they make it there, but it is great. I could just eat toast and more toast and be happy. It also has a side salad which is crisp and ever so fresh. We returned for dinner a couple of nights later and were just wowed by the selection and the food. We started with Caesar salad and a great Mediterranean salad, which had mixed romaine, the best tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, some great feta cheese along with a tasty lemon-oregano dressing. It was all so fresh and crispy. We tried the salmon, with wild mushroom congee, legumes and shaved carrots. It was cooked to perfection and some of the best salmon we have had in Temecula. It was just perfect. The filet we order was cooked rare, exactly as ordered and so tender. It had a mushroom seasoning, the best smoked mashed potatoes, perfect asparagus all in a wonderful deep wine sauce. It was magical. We also had some shrimp because we are spoiled and were in heaven. The crème brulee was very good, not the best I have ever had, but super good. Try their caramel-pecan brownie. it is the best with graham whipped mallow brulée, a tasty chili ash salt with goji berry. That is something you can't really get that good elsewhere. Took my mother here for a lunch date this last Monday. I explained that this was one of the few winery restaurants I found to be open that day as most are only open Fri-Sun. And it most likely had something to do with the fact that this is a resort as well with guests staying throughout the week. Still we looked forward to having a quieter than normal experience. Once inside- we looked around until someone came to greet us. We noticed there was an outdoor patio over looking their lower terrace which looks as its meant to be able to hold special events. Off in the distance I was pleased to see a portion of their grape vineyards though I found myself thinking it would've been nice if the locations of the two had been switched. The vineyards would've made for a nicer direct view from the patio. While I had originally booked my reservation for outdoor seating- once there- & saw that there was no real view from the tables aside from other occupied tables. We opted for indoor seating instead. It was indeed definitely quiet as we mostly had the restaurant to ourselves- at least the indoor part almost up until the time we left. Our server Nathan was pleasant and attentive throughout our time there. For drinks- since I am partial to the sweet kind, he recommended their mango raspberry mimosa. My mother and I enjoyed them and I will say they tasted stronger than the usual and not overly sweet- but we didn't mind that. To start we ordered the Ceviche Tataki and I believe my mother was more of a fan than I was. If you like your ceviche with a bit of sweet you will enjoy this- however I grew up on the savory /sour type of ceviche and have always liked sweet- only in my desserts. For our meals my mother chose the Seabass Fish Tacos and I chose the wild mushrooms flatbread. I'll be honest in saying I made my choice in an attempt to try to replicate my flavorful experience of the Leoness Cellars flatbread of the same name and I was just as honest with Nathan when I ordered it. He recommended I add the prosciutto to add to the flavor. This plate too however was nothing like the flavorful flatbread at Leoness and I found myself thinking- there is something sweet in this too. Balsamic vinegar? I caught myself wishing I had taken a closer look at the ingredients or simply gone with the linguine as I had originally planned. That would've for sure not had any sweet to it- I hoped at least. My mother says she enjoyed her seabass tacos and the only thing she mentioned was wondering why they used the type of tortillas they used. The different textured maiz ones she sometimes sees at restaurants. Said it gave her a different taste to the tacos. I just took it as she wished they were the regular or even handmade ones. She also mentioned being surprised by the presence of red caviar on top- I don't think it was an unpleasant surprise but I will venture to say they were definitely not your regular run of the mill fish tacos. I did try a bite but can't seem to recall any particular flavors of note. I remember telling her to add some of the salsa that came with it- maybe that would add to the overall flavor. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but don't really have anything foodwise that I tasted that would make this a restaurant I want to return to. I did see that they were voted the best winery restaurant in '20-'21 - I truly hope they find their way back to serving memorable dishes that won them those accolades. I may just return to try different dishes on the menu- if only just to see if having chosen a savory plate would have made a difference. read more

(9/10) Salmon-crispy crust with wild mushroom congee, had a bit of asian flair so unique (8/10). Seafood linguine-tried a bit of BFs dish, very generous with seafood but the cream sauce was bit too creamy for me (7/10) Tiramisu-was a bit frozen, might have come out of freezer, but the banana flavor was good and hazelnut cookie is a good twist (6/10). Well, when the piece of salmon came, it was on a tiny plate, skin side up and a piece of the salmon was hanging off of the plate. nothing else! We dined at Vineyard Rose on Thursday night. The last time we dined here was over 13 years ago, and at that time our experience was not the best. This time we were staying at the resort and decided we would give it another try. We are glad we did! I ordered the salmon and my husband had the filet. We started our meal with a Mediterranean salad with the tastiest olives. My salmon, with a crispy skin, was perfectly cooked and served over a delicious congee with tender vegetables. It was a dish full of delicious flavors! My husband also loved his filet. Our server, Michael, did a great job! The only downside was that he didn't come around as often as we would've liked to check on our table. The restaurant itself is quite big, and the grounds are lovely. My husband and I both agreed that The Vineyard Rose Restaurant is worthy of visiting to celebrate a special occasion in the future and we will definitely be back. read more
