This little Italian restaurant is tucked away in a cute winery. The views are exactly what you'd expect from temecula. The food is absolutely delicious and you can tell the sandwiches are made fresh! The wine is reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be back
Friday, 1:27/2026: This eatery is located at Robert Renzoni and only 4 minutes from our house. My sister was visiting from Chesapeake VA and her daughter (our niece) was visiting from Ventura and it was my sister's first visit since we moved to Wine Country. My siblings aldi visited but from San Diego. Our entire family Hubby, daughter, son-in-law, grandson, 2 sisters & brother) decided to visit this eatery. The views were amazing! Unfortunately, there is no table service but they do bring out the food to the table. You have to order at the counter & since we were a large party of 10 they automatically tacked on a 20% gratuity. Everybody enjoyed their food although IMHO their prices were high. You really are paying a premium for the views. Our family had a good time.
Had lunch on a beautiful Saturday at Nama Rosa's Trattoria. I got the mama Rosa sandwich which had good flavor and it was large enough to share. The truffle curly fries were highly mediocre. We only had 2 curly fries and the rest were broken pieces. It had good flavor but came out warm not hot. We also had the tomato & burrata salad that had really good flavor. Everything was a bit too expensive. If you've never been to eat here, you order at the bar and the staff brings you your food to your table. It came with 4 slices of baguette which wasn't much for the size of the salad. The View from the outdoor restaurant is great.
Came here for lunch while spending the afternoon in Temecula. The Burrata salad was good, kind of expensive for the portion size. The Mama Rosa sandwich was the best thing we ordered. It was huge and plenty to share amongst two people. The Truffle curly fries were awful. Nothing but tiny crumbles of broken up fries, which was really unfortunate because the flavor itself was actually pretty good. The staff in the restaurant area were nicer than inside the winery but likely won't be coming back as you can eat anywhere in this area for the same cost with better quality.
Pizza, wine, live music and a stellar view? Yes, please!!! My wife really wanted to bring me here as she swore by their pizza. Parking is limited but around 430pm on a Friday we were able to grab a spot. It wasn't busy at all but it was Halloween. They operate by self service + limited staff service. You will go up and get your menus, select a table and grab some free cucumber/strawberry water. When you're ready to order you walk up to the bar area and place your order. They will give you number and bring out your food. The food- we got the meatball appetizer and the "Julie's Favorite" pizza. It had fresh basil and tomatoes on it. The meatballs were not it for me. But my wife loved them. I'm not a fan of how most restaurants make meatballs. Smooth texture on the inside... no thank you. However the sauce they are in... delicious. The pizza... very good. Not "out of this world" but I LOVED the crust! The vibes were so incredibly chill. It was burger night so there was this cool guy out there with his grill busting out burgers. The woman who was singing had a great voice! And of course that wine country scenery. You are sitting up high over looking pure beauty. Overall, I would go back and try different pizzas that crust was seriously so good... maybe with a side of that meatball sauce!
We visited this "trattoria" while exploring the Robert Renzoni winery and were not overly impressed. Reservations are strongly suggested as this is the only dining option at the winery, and it seems quite popular. Seating is entirely outside - either fully outside or in their open air patio. It was a warm afternoon, and so it was a bit uncomfortable sitting outside. We did not realize when we reserved that there is no waiter/waitress service. You have to go to the counter (and wait in line) to order and pay (even for just a glass of wine or other beverage), and then later the food is delivered to your table. We had the bruschetta to start which had a bright and fresh taste. The bread was quite good. I had the classic gnocchi entree with marinara sauce. The gnocchi seemed very overcooked and were extremely soft and "mushy." The sauce was very unusual as well and was actually very sweet which was not to my liking. This is a lovely setting, but frankly the food and the lack of true table service means we will probably not return.
Beautiful scenery, tasty food, too expensive for what you're getting. This is really all there was to this lunch spot, as it was incredibly expensive when looking through the order, and although the scenery was very nice and I did understand it was a Wine + Lunch spot, I still found it to be very unfairly priced, especially with the service. The wait times depending on the item can range from 20 minutes to an hour (posted on a sign outside of the restaurant was a wait time of 40 minutes, although ours came in about 25). The servers were very neutral, feeling a bit like they were rushing you to order and not incredibly friendly, which was disappointing. Then came the food and drinks. We ordered the Garlic Cheese Flatbread, Eggplant Parmigiana Shoots, the Spicy Meatball Pizza, a tap beer, and a Sangria. This came out to a little over $100 total. There was little to say about the shoots, which tasted good, but more in the way that fast food tastes good, as they were a bit over fried and lacked much flavor on their own without the accompanying sauces. The Garlic Cheese Flatbread and Spicy Meatball Pizza were both very tasty, but unfortunately the experience was stained by the high prices which made it more difficult to enjoy them for what they were. The Sangria was not very good, though that may be a matter of personal taste, and the beer was one I knew I liked so it, of course, was what I expected. I did not have a bad time here, and wouldn't say it is not worth going to, but for my taste and the overall experience I had, I would likely not return again. However, I do want to end on a positive note, which was that if you do go, the pizzas are incredibly fresh and delicious, and although a bit oily, are definitely worth ordering, but I would skip the appetizers entirely.
I came here with a party of 8 for lunch. I get that parties are automatically charged a gratuity, however, this restaurant is not full service. You order and pay (BEFORE you're even served) at the counter, and then your food is delivered to you. I still can't wrap my head around that. When the weather is perfect, the outdoor seating is a great place to enjoy the view and fresh air. The taste and portion of food was satisfactory, but well presented. In my opinion, this is a great place for a quick and light lunch, but not a place to celebrate with larger parties.
I highly recommend the bruschetta 10/10 and the pizza was pretty good too. Great drinks as well of course, I like that they had beer options as well. Service was fast and friendly. Very nice outdoor seating too.
We love Robert Renzoni's vineyards and always stop by here when we are in Temecula to pick up some wine. First time trying Mama Rosa's so we did make reservations. Reservations require a $25 deposit that is later used towards the purchase of your food order. We don't care for the self service method and would prefer to have a server take our order since you are spending a good amount of time standing in line to place your order instead of enjoying conversation with your family and/or friends. They really need more than one person at the register for quicker service. It also took several requests to get someone to lower the shades since the sun was directly in our faces. The wine here is always good and the spicy meatball pizza was tasty but it took over 45 minutes for the food to arrive at the table . We came on a Sunday at 3:00 and there was live music entertainment which is always nice but he seemed to break more than he played.
Got a little hungry during wine tasting and decided to try some of their food. The serving size was perfect for the pasta and it complimented the red wine I had very well. It was very flavorful and prepared fairly quickly.
Food was great, manager was amazing, music and location absolutely wonderful! Female Bartender with tattoos and blonde hair at ends was miserable and wrecked our anniversary, Put in all wrong orders putzing around starving for attention and so rude to any female trying to order with their spouses. When explained was the wrong order got upset towards the wife and looked to husband for help, truly brought the place from a 5 to a zero. Lack of emotional intelligence or any type of class in such a beautiful place. Get rid of her and the place would be 5 stars. Thank goodness for the male bartender to save the day and be grounded and care about the customers and not attention. As a local was pretty bummed and the food was good. Definitely won't come back.
What a beautiful spot out in the vineyards! I loveeeed sitting out on the patio and I definitely recommend getting there early or getting a reservation, it got busy pretty quickly! The only strange thing was that we had to order at the counter and I felt that really interrupted the flow of being at a vineyard and sitting and chatting. I certainly didn't enjoy getting up and waiting in line for people to order food when I only needed/wanted a glass of wine. Other than that, everyone was really kind and the food was delish!

We decided to stop for lunch at Mama Rosa's Trattoria after spending the day exploring Temecula wine country, and I'm so glad we did! My son ordered the spaghetti with marinara, while my husband and I shared the gnocchi with creamy Gorgonzola sauce. Everything was absolutely excellent. You can truly taste that the food is homemade and made with care. The gnocchi was soft and perfectly cooked, and the marinara sauce was just right--not acidic or runny. Even the spaghetti had that fresh, homemade taste and texture. We sat outside on the patio, which overlooks the mountains and beautiful grapevines. It was such a relaxing and picturesque setting, especially after spending the day in wine country. We were seated promptly when we arrived, and although you walk up to the bar to place your order, they bring your food right to your table. We had actually stopped at another winery beforehand and shared a charcuterie board, so we weren't very hungry when we arrived. Honestly, I wish we hadn't eaten there because we would have loved to have been hungrier for this meal! This was hands-down some of the best Italian food we've had in a very long time. If you're visiting Temecula, I highly recommend adding Mama Rosa's Trattoria to your list. The food, atmosphere, and beautiful outdoor setting made this such a memorable lunch! read more
Food was good it is on the expensive side. But the pizza was delicious they used fresh serrano peppers so had a kick to it which delicious. The Greek salad was great its a huge portion so definitely can split with two people. The view is great. Overall a good place. read more
We've been here, but not for a while. I did have trouble trying to make a reservation. I called three times and left my name and number and no one called me back. finally on the day that we wanted to come. Somebody did answer the phone. They don't do same-day reservations, but he assured me that it wasn't that busy and we were welcome. It's all patio sitting Some of it is covered. We were sitting near the edge of the patio and had a stunning view of the valley. We had an umbrella so that we were in the shade because it was a warm September Sunday. We ordered a rosé that we've had before and loved . after looking over the menu, we decided to split an appetizer, a salad and a pizza. First , we had wings which were hot and crispy and quite tasty. There was a lot for an appetizer. then we had a salad. It was loaded with strawberries and grapes and cheese and avocado. It was huge. There was only two of us, but it could've easily fed four. We ordered our dressing on the side , my husband enjoyed his Italian style dressing and I enjoyed my ranch. We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza. It was wonderful. There was a generous amount of chicken and cheese on top. The crust wasn't too thick and bready so when we were done with the pizza, we didn't feel stuffed. While we were there Ellis Bryant was playing his guitar. He has a country vibe and was taking requests. He did a great job of creating a relaxed kind of feeling for a Sunday afternoon. We very much enjoyed our meal. They have a two hour limit so we were careful not to overstay, but the time goes by quickly when you're enjoying great wine, great food, and great music! We chose to eat at this restaurant since we had a wine tasting appointment inside. This is the restaurant that is located outside. It was difficult and awkward to order if you've never been. Apparently you walk up to the counter and place your order and no waiter comes to your table, so keep that in mind. We were sitting down with our menus for around 20 minutes until we figured it out so it made for a bit of a rocky start. The food did come out fast once we placed our order and they do allow for opening your own bottle of wine if you purchase one inside or bring your own bottle. Ample seating outside and they also had live music! read more

Mama Rosa serves some tasty Italian faire and is located at the Robert Renzoni Winery. Most Lunch items are in the $18 to $22 range (see Menu) and will not bust a budget. Same is true of the wine selections, which are $10 to $15 for a six ounce pour. Mama Rosa's isn't fancy, but has great winery views and tasty food (see photos). You order up at the bar, your Menu has a number on it and the cashier will ask for your location. When your food is ready, a server will bring it to your table. Nice. Expect to $35 or so each, including one glass of wine. PS, if you join Renzoni's Wine Club there's a discount on your Meal. read more

The hubs and I wanted to eat before we started a day off wine tasting. We grabbed a reservation (highly recommend) Altho our Friday lunchtime visit wasn't crowded- like it is on a weekend. The scenery is spectacular and Mother Nature didn't disappoint. It is a fast casual place where you place and pay for your order, then a server brings your order. We started by splitting a chicken Caesar salad ($25). It was large enough for us to have 2 servings each. Adding to the fresh, tasty salad we had a tre salami pizza. Took 1/2 home. If you like thin crust, well cooked, flavorful pizza, I highly recommend this fan favorite. There was no way to time our order, so salad and pizza arrived almost simultaneously (we like eating at a slower pace with salad first). Complimenting my husbands meal was a glass of Concerto (that he had tasted earlier in the tasting room before lunch). If you can make it work, enjoy tasting at Renzoni and then enjoy the outdoor patio dining of this neighborhood gem. $75 for lunch is a bit pricey, (hence the loss of 1 star, but the higher prices could reflect the impact of Covid) but I'd rather spend it here for fresh, homemade food than for the concession food inside Honda Center at a Ducks game. Will we come back? You bet! read more

First time there for the food and wine. Temecula was going through a heat wave but worry not , the restaurant has a great misty system. We ordered the fries ( bleh), bruschetta ( excellent), meatball spaghetti ( so good) and the spicy meatball pizza(heavenly good). Service was okay and understandably it was a very busy Sunday. The view is so beautiful. We will be back. read more

I absolutely loved eating here, especially on Saturday when they had live music playing outside. Definitely make reservations in advance. They were full on a Saturday. The outdoor seating was perfect and very spacious. Keep in mind that they are not dog friendly. Our waiter was great and friendly. All the staff were so helpful too. I really loved their gluten free pizza! It's rare to find a flavorful gluten free pizza so this restaurant hit the spot. Their salads are amazing too!! Such a great portion and perfect to share and pair with your pizza. I love their white wines here as well. Very smooth and refreshing. My favorite is the 2019 Vermentino. Thanks again for the great service, food and of course wine!! And amazing views out here!! You won't regret making a visit! read more
Mama Rosa's Trattoria is located at Robert Renzoni Vineyards. I recommend making a reservation. The views and ambiance are beautiful and make you feel like you're in Tuscany. Keep in mind that you can't do a wine tasting flight at the restaurant. Tastings are only available on the separate tasting patio. They have a bar where you order your food and wine, and live music on the weekends. We didn't want to fill up on food so the 3 of us split 2 appetizers and a salad which was nice and light. The Polpette e Marinara, large meatballs in marinara and lots of melty cheese were super delicious and the best thing we ordered. The Roman Artichokes on a bed of arugula in honey balsamic dressing were way overdressed and I felt like $15 for the dish was way too much. The Italian Cobb was fresh and filled with ingredients but again, $20 for a basic salad is steep. The food here won't blow you away but it gets the job done if you need some food in your stomach for all of the wine. read more
Mamá Rosa's Trattoria is a really well ran restaurant in the Robert Renzoni winery. Everything that we have tried has been delicious. When it arrives to your table, you can tell that the food was made with pride and that they want you to really enjoy your time there. The pizzas are good, the sandwiches are good, the pastas are good, the salads ... everything is good. This last trip, they had a lobster ravioli on the menu as their special dish. Of course, it was delicious!! While we waited for some friends, we listened to the guy they have there playing a number of songs from different genres. He's pretty good and helps give the place that extra cool feeling. Of course, I also have a bottle of their Pinot Grigio while I wait. Cheers and enjoy!! read more

Every time we travel to Temecula, we have to stop by Robert renzoni to grab wine and the food. It's absolutely delicious! The pasta sauce they have there is so amazing. I always have to buy jars of that as well as the balsamic vinegar. Love this place! read more
