If you value your time, your money, or -- more importantly -- your health, keep walking. This is my second review of The Mill, and somehow it's worse than the first. Last time, my fiancée and I came in on our engagement day to celebrate with brunch and were turned away at the door because we had iced coffees from next door. Real classy way to treat customers. Management never responded to that review. Shocker. So against my better judgment, I gave them another shot this morning. Here's what happened: I have a gluten allergy. I told my waitress. I specifically asked her to check whether one of the menu items was gluten-free -- which she did -- and I clearly asked for my toast on a separate plate so my wife could have it. Simple request. Clear communication. Done. Food came out with bread sitting directly on top of everything on my plate. When I pointed out the mistake and reminded them of my allergy, the person who delivered the food had the audacity to respond with an irritated "I guess we are going to have to remake the food." You messed up the order. The attitude is completely backwards. Then my waitress came back to tell me she "didn't know" about my allergy. I stated it twice and had her look something up because of it. Either she didn't write it down, or the kitchen ignored it entirely. Either way -- a gluten allergy isn't a preference, it's a health issue. First plate took 15 minutes. Remake took another 15. While sitting outside waiting, we overheard our waitress telling another table their order had also been messed up by the kitchen. So it's not just us. Let's be honest about what The Mill serves: basic breakfast. Eggs, bacon, potatoes. This isn't a Michelin-starred tasting menu. It's breakfast. And you still managed to get it wrong twice in one visit. The "breakfast pizza" I've tried before wasn't good either. And the apple chicken sausage? It tastes like wet dog food -- I don't know what's in that but it should not be on the menu. To their credit, they remade the food and our waitress was pleasant despite everything. The hal-o-penyo sauce was genuinely good. That's it. That's the entire list of positives. The real issue is systemic. The kitchen staff is either disorganized or resentful about their own mistakes. Communication between the floor and the kitchen is nonexistent. Management clearly doesn't care -- they didn't respond to my last review, and nothing has changed. A restaurant that can't handle allergy requests for a scrambled eggs order is not a restaurant that takes its customers seriously. I gave you two chances. You burned both. I won't be back, and I'll be making sure my friends and family know exactly what to expect here. read more

Have not been here in years so we decided to bring some friends for an early dinner. To start I ordered the Hazy IPA as we had a great conversation prior to ordering our dinner. It was OK, but more about that later. It was about 4:30 on a Monday and it wasn't too crowded yet but patrons were starting to filter in slowly. The inside had a very warm feeling and it was comfortable. Our server was Bridgette who was outstanding and on point! I ordered the Cheesesteak Panini and added jalapeño's for that extra "kick" on focaccia bread. Wow, killer sandwich!!! Mouth watering, delicious and absolutely huge! Included, I had the potato salad that I'm not familiar with as I was raised on Southern potato salad. This was good but different. My wife loved it. I ordered a different IPA that tasted much better. Ironically, Bridgette came over and asked if the first beer tasted funny as another customer complained. I told her it did as I only drank about half and she said she would remove it from our bill. They do a pretty good job with small and larger groups, although if it's busy, you may have a bit of a wait for your food. Just enjoy a cocktail in the outdoor seating area. The menu stood out right away--different and interesting, with a main focus on pizzas and pasta but a few other options mixed in too. I went with the Cuban sandwich and an Old Fashioned, while my brother tried the pepperoni calzone. My cocktail was excellent and the sandwich really hit the spot. My brother thought the calzone was just "okay," but overall, the food was solid. The vibe is lively and it seems like the kind of place locals come back to often. Shout out to Tracy B for helping make our lunch experience so much fun. She's a truly professional server. What a treat. We sat outside on the deck in the sun. The day started out rainy but cleared up for a lovely view of dramatic cloud action. The Mill isn't fancy, but it's a nice set up and quite clean. We ordered the veggie pizza (modified to red sauce not white) which is a big deal because we don't usually order pizza on the west coast. Maybe it was the delicious and refreshing Cosmo I was imbibing, but whatever it was, the pizza was killer and my pizza snobbery is chastened. As an aside, the salads that went by looked amazing and were quite large. If we hadn't gone all rogue with the pizza, we would probably have chosen salad. What threw me off was half the staff making food were wearing gloves but the guy making the pasta wasn't, he was touching all the past bare handed then kicking the drawer closed with his foot since the pasta is kept in the bottom drawer. My partner tried the chicken apple sausage and he really enjoyed it! We absolutely love the Mill, been going here for years. Today was the first time ever having breakfast and I have to say it was great and the price point was amazing. The server Vanessa was awesome and super friendly. I had the stuffed French toast and those were tasty as well as the side of potatoes. My wife liked her omelette and the kids enjoyed their food as well. The restaurant is always nice and clean and you can see the cook working the whole time which is pretty cool. They have amazing pizza, pasta, and salads. A few of our favorites are the Thai pasta with angel hair noodles, the Santa Rosa plateau salad, and the milleta sandwich soooo good. 2024.05-26/SUN_1130: Awesome brunch spot to hang out with the locals of Temecula! We hung out with the family in Temecula and they took us to The Mill. We were looking for a good brunch spot before we played 18 holes at Dos Lagos Golf Course. The staff here is really nice. There was a wait so our party of four sat out front because the small waiting area by the entry door of the restaurant was packed. There was only a ten minute wait so we waited out front on the other side of the entry door. The front of the restaurant and the entry door is a huge window. After waiting 15 minutes, we decided to go inside and to our surprise, she said that she already called our name and sat our table. What's disturbing is that the hostess didn't even bother to inform us our table was ready when we were standing right out of the entry door on the other side of the window. It is such a small entrance that you can walk five steps from the hostess stand to the door and poke your head out since they didn't have an intercom. The waiting area literally sat ten people and we didn't want to block the entrance so it was kinda ridiculous that it was a ten minute wait and she saw us standing outside waiting to be seated. It's not like we had 16 other parties before us. That's the reason why we gave it four stars. The hubby had a Denver Omelette and I had one of The Mill's Basic Breakfast - two sausage patties, three eggs, potatoes and Sourdough toast. The brother and sister-in-law had Mimosas with their meal, too so they do have that available for brunch :) Overall, the food was tasty and our waitress was awesome which made our experience pleasant. read more
