What a disappointment! Don't fall for their free margarita if you fill out their survey! I filled it out and got a code emailed to me for my free margarita. Went tonight and was told sorry we cant give out free alcohol. So offer something else. More people were coming in with a code just for the server to say sorry, no. I'm thinking it was away to get customers in the door. We wont be coming back.

    Menu discrepancies

Visited this establishment on 7/16/2026. What started out as a very pleasant girls' night out quickly became an unnecessarily frustrating experience. This establishment advertises "unlimited" chips and salsa; however, we were advised that only the first two baskets are complimentary and that a charge applies beginning with the third basket. By definition, that is not unlimited. While a charge after multiple refills may be understandable for an individual diner, there were three of us dining together and splitting the bill equally. Based on the explanation provided, each guest would effectively be entitled to two complimentary baskets, yet we were charged for the third basket shared by the table. When we questioned the charge, we were directed to "read the front of the menu." Upon reviewing it, we identified several discrepancies. One member of our party works in compliance and risk management and reviews policies and disclosures professionally. We then asked the shift lead whether she had personally read the language on the menu before referencing it, to which she replied, "Not really." At that point, the issue was no longer about a $3 basket of chips--it was about the principle. Had the three of us been seated at separate tables, each guest would have received two complimentary baskets without issue. Additionally, we were told that split checks were not permitted for parties under six, which was inaccurate, as the restaurant does allow up to six separate checks. To be clear, the food was excellent, the drinks were great, and our server--who was a new hire--was personable and attentive. Unfortunately, the shift lead's approach was loud, condescending, and misinformed. My advice to management is simple: ensure your staff fully understands company policies, terms, and conditions before directing customers to rely on them. It is difficult to cite policy with confidence when the policy itself has not been read or is not being applied consistently. This experience had all the makings of a great evening, and it is disappointing that a $3 dispute and poor leadership overshadowed what was otherwise an enjoyable night out.

    Chile verde omelette

(Name of restaurant recently changed from carnitas express). The food was high quality and the service was good, and prompt. The chile verde omelette was more precisely an avocado omelette with a few spoons of chile verde on top. It tasted good, although I would have liked to see more of the course highlight on the plate, more specifically inside of the omelette.

First time here. The have outside seating here. I ordered a Carne Asada Buritto (wet style). It came with rice and beans. However there was more rice and beans than there was meat. I was a bit disappointed. Over all it was a decent Buritto. They severed chips with salsa. The salsa had good flavor. The service was pretty good as well. Next time I visit I'll try something else and update my review.

All 3, food, service and ambiance, excellent! Breakfast/brunch this morning but it's served all day. Berry crepes for me, menudo for hubs, both delicious! Crepes are large, about 12" long. Menudo tripe was very tender, not rubbery, and the broth very tasty. Will try pozole next time.

Had the best experience!! Sunshine was my waitress and she really knew what she was doing! The food was good came out quickly even added on avocado and sunshine brought it out immediately!!! Thank you so much sunshine for the amazing service I will be back again!

    Two Carne Asada Tacos Combo

La Patrona Mexican Kitchen is clean, comfy and perfect for family meals as well as date night. After being seated in a big, comfy booth with nearby tv, we were welcomed with menus, warm chips and tasty red salsa. On the menu, you'll find offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was craving a crispy taco and ordered something new for me, the Quesabirria plate. It was meaty, cheesy crispy deliciousness. Comes with rice but I asked for beans, limes, onions and cilantro and birria for dipping. It's a bit messy but worth asking for more napkins. The carne asada tacos come with plenty of seasoned meat, served with rice and beans. Yes, I will return and it will be difficult to choose something other than the quesabirria but this time with rice to have with the birria. Tough decision though since they have good rice and beans. Friendly, attentive server, thank you Becca, pleasant atmosphere, good food at a reasonable price makes for a good dining experience.

This was a great restaurant. We were heading back to OC after spending the night in temecula. I wanted some comfort food, and everything was wonderful. My husband had the chile relleno and ground beef taco combo. I had the shredded beef nachos, and my grandpa had the cheese and avocado omelet. The patio is cute, but we sat at a booth inside. The bar area was very nice. Portions are huge and we took home a box of leftovers. Service was great. I'd eat here again.

    Molcajete
    Kareena R.

Not impressed at all. The two stars is for the ambience. Service was not attentive at all. And the food was bland. We ordered the molcajete and the chicken was not seasoned at all. Definitely won't be coming back here. Go to the Italian spot next door instead.

The carne asada is hands down some of the best around and it's amazing no matter what you order it on. Honestly, we've worked our way through a good chunk of the menu and everything has been consistently fresh and delicious. One thing we also love is that they have AMI, so you can pick the music and keep the vibe going while you eat. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service every time. If you're passing through, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Burger? NO Tacos, beans? YES!…read more I was mega happy with one of my orders. The taco was luscious with a generous filling of juicy beef. The tamale was generous as well, but not my fav. THE BEANS! DELICIOUS! AND they included some chips and salsa at no extra charge! This is my new go to for "Mexican" food. So, why not FIVE STARS? It's their burger. Truly awful and possibly the worst I've ever had. It's cheap, $11., and that includes fries, but if the burger isn't worth finishing the cheap price isn't a plus. What's it take to make a good burger? I looked up In-in-Out on Google. What's their secret? Patties: 100% USDA ground chuck, shipped fresh daily and cooked to order.Produce: Whole onions and tomatoes are hand-sliced, and lettuce is hand-leafed. Plus, they have a great sauce. Well, a better bun too. It's the beef AND If Casa Jimenez could just add a couple nice lettuce leaves, a good size tomato, onions on request and then figure out a good sauce, they would have an edible burger. Charge more and don't serve something that's too bad to eat. Simple.

I asked what breakfast burrito is the best or her favorite and took her up on the recommendation of the Machaca Breakfast Burrito. Choosing to dine in I was offered chips and salsa and asked for salsa preference. No salsa bar here which was fine, I chose spicy and got a roasted red salsa and creamy green salsa. Red had more kick but the green had such a nice bright flavor. I'm sure there are more options but it was nice to trust the service to pick. Now for the burrito, the star of the show, Machaca is only 50 cents more than the bacon, coming in at around $14 which is about average around here. The size was great and a nice weight. Cutting it open there was a great mix of all the ingredients. Potatoes were a small dice and seasoned with the same spice they sprinkle on their chips I think. Fajita style onions and peppers with a generous amount of juicy Machaca, laced with perfectly melted cheese. I think there may have been some refried beans in there too since I asked for everything they recommend. If there was they were so nicely blended they didn't dominate a single bite and may have performed more as a binder. 5 stars for Location and staff were both great as it's not hard to get to off Ynez by the dealerships. It's the kind of place locals know of and tell people they got their perfect spot. Blown away by how friendly the staff is, in the morning, while taking deliveries. The Machaca Breakfast Burrito is a solid 4.9/5, would definitely order again after I try some of the others because this place is definitely going on the short list of go-to spots. They have quesaberria tacos that look awesome.

Birria for lunch? Yes, please! Ate lunch at Lola's Birria…read moreand grabbed their lunch special, birria ramen + birria taco, and let me just say... my lunch was having a whole identity crisis because it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be taco or ramen... let's have both!! They start you off with chips and both red & green salsa, and thankfully, BOTH were delightful. No sad, watery salsa situation happening here! The birria ramen came in a small soup bowl, but don't let the size fool you. That broth was packed with that rich, savory birria goodness. The birria taco was generously stuffed with meat and came with its own little container of consomé for dipping. Because apparently one can never have too much birria juice. The lunch special also comes with rice, beans, cilantro and onion, making this a pretty satisfying meal for less than $15. That's a lunch deal I can get behind! And the birria itself had what I look for: tender, juicy, slow-cooked beef with a deep, savory, slightly spicy and mildly smoky chile flavor. It should taste rich and beefy, with the spices complementing the meat rather than overpowering it, and the consomé should be flavorful enough that you'll want to drink it straight from the cup. BONUS POINTS: They don't use lard in the beans! As someone who appreciates knowing what's lurking in my side dishes, I definitely appreciate this. Overall, I liked it! If you're looking for a good-value lunch special in the area, Lola's Birria is definitely worth checking out. And if you're anything like me, you'll probably be dipping everything into that consomé.
