GREAT FOR A LATE SUNDAY VISIT (Before Closing) My first time here to this winery. A nice welcoming place. Not too large and not too small. Great for groups. Close and intimate. Tasting area has some nice visual art pieces, paintings & photography to admire. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon on the last hour. Ashleigh and Dakota served us with a few tastes before choosing a wine to pour for a glass. We tried the Berbera, the Petite Savoy, and one other wine. All were great! It was nice that a small sample was able to he tried before committing to a glass. On top of the overall excellent experience, upon asking about bottle corks, I was welcomed to fill a small bag full of them if I wanted some for some DIY project. That was awesome! The winery was really nice and I wish I could have gotten here earlier to try the food here. I would definitely come back! read more

We enjoyed our experience on Valentines Day. It is not as posh as some of the other wineries, but they were still clean and professional. The music was so fun and it was a great atmosphere. The food was a decent portion and the prices were fair. I think our waitress was a little overwhelmed so service was a little slow, but the food came fast and it was tasty. My girlfriends and I came here this past weekend for a get together. We had a party of 11. The food and wine were great and the live band was pretty good which makes this experience even more disappointing :( Our server, Ginger, was inattentive and rude throughout most of the night. We were ignored for long stretches, at one point waiting over 45 minutes for her to check on our table, while she continued to visit her other tables around us. When we asked questions about the menu or wine, her responses were dismissive and unhelpful. She also refused to take food and drink orders at the same time, slowing service even further. She literally took everyone's order but my friend next to me who made the reservation reservations it took her forever to come back. When I tried ordering a bottle of wine for the table she raised her voice and told me to wait my turn! Ew! Speaking to me like a child!!!!! After one of my friends spoke with a manager, she was offered a bottle of wine, that didn't solve the problem for my other 10 friends though. However, when Ginger brought the wine over, she said, "Here's your bottle for complaining," which was extremely unprofessional. When I asked about wine recommendations, she was again unhelpful and unpleasant. I get you guys were busy but that doesn't justify the disrespect from her. Her behavior was unprofessional and not appropriate for a service role. This place has so much potential great atmosphere, music, food, and wine but the service completely horrific what should've been a fun night. Decided to have lunch here today and I ordered a good glass of red wine and the Turkey Bacon Sandwich. The wine was excellent and the sandwich was very good as it came with fries. Our server was Kristin and she was wonderful. The music was good and we enjoyed our time there. It seems things have changed at this winery, we have been members for almost 10 years but the personnel has changed and I don't see the same managers from before. Had a family day at the winery and it was great! The weather was perfect to take our 5-month-old and sit outside with some wine. Brought my parents along as well. They don't drink wine so my mom was the DD and my dad sampled a flight with us. The ambiance was great. Lots of seating in various areas and child friendly. The flights are priced well at $25 for 6 pours, and the knowledgeable sommelier even gave us an additional glass. Overall the taste of wine was OK, but nothing we'd purchase. I don't recommend the charcuterie board. It was an unimpressive spread of lunch meat, grapes, cheese, and crackers that I believe cost $30 something. I'd return for the atmosphere and try some different wines and maybe food from the restaurant. Overall was happy with the visit. read more

Lorimar Winery in Temecula is one of the wineries I like to frequent when wine tasting. My recent visit was more pleasant than the first time as there was a band playing cool jazzy music. Was surrounded by very jovial people, obviously inebriated, some making an embarrassing spectacle of themselves, very similar to scenes from the show Real Housewives of Orange County, who filmed a few episodes here, quite entertaining. The staff were cordial and nice but seem to be pushing the membership sales. I'm not hugh on wine consumption so I passed on their membership sales pitch. The winery is beautiful; the views of the rows of vineyards while enjoying a petite charcuterie and glasses of wine was nice. The menu offers more selections but the hot temperature weather wise deterred me from eating anything too heavy. The outdoor patio was nice but the heatwave shortened my visit. Some cooling misters should be installed to tolerate the heat and make at least tolerable to stay. Cool music and chilled wine was all I wanted and Lorimar Winery was a fun visit. read more

Not the best experience. We were there for prom. We did get to take beautiful pictures, but the service was terrible. We waited a very long time to order our drinks and food. The sun was blazing. We asked if we could get an umbrella. they said no. Everybody got their food except for my dad and when he asked the server walking by where his burger was, he put his finger up to him and said wait and walked away. The service was just wasn't that great the atmosphere wasn't that great I've been to many wineries because I live out here, but I most likely will not be coming back. read more

The setting is lovely and our server Makenna was attentive, but much of the experience fell short. Paper plates, plastic cutlery, paper cups, and packets of ranch dressing significantly cheapened what should have been an elevated dining experience. We had been looking forward to visiting Lorimar based on a friend's recommendation, and while we're willing to give the benefit of the doubt that it may have been an off day, there were too many issues to overlook. We arrived for our 11 AM reservation catching the staff mid-setup. The noise from glasses and water service was understandable, but the repeated slamming of propane tank covers on the outdoor heaters was genuinely disruptive -- enough that another customer called out the staff member responsible, who responded with an audible "aw, my bad." The heaters were never actually turned on, despite the cool and windy conditions and really only created an obstruction between tables. Our group ordered generously: a charcuterie board, sliders, buffalo wings, caprese bruschetta, a beef dip sandwich, a turkey and bacon sandwich, a margherita pizza, two coffees, a Dirty Shirley, and a Boozy Coffee. The coffees arrived in styrofoam cups with plastic lids and stirrers -- a small but telling detail. The charcuterie board, priced at $35, was the biggest disappointment. It consisted of a separate paper plate with a few slices of bread; on the board, a small plastic container of fig spread (picture a plastic to go container with a cap), three dried apricots, two pieces of cheddar, two slices of smoked Gouda, roughly twelve thin slices of deli meat, and a bunch of grapes. The grapes were the highlight. We sent the pizza back. The remaining food was mediocre across the board, and the paper plates struggled under the weight of it; the plate holding the wings nearly collapsed mid-table. I happened to cross paths with the manager and asked if I could share my experience with him. He apologized and asked if we had payed our bill, which we had ($221 with the pizza removed and not including $40 tip). He then offered a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay in an attempt to make things right, which was a genuinely kind gesture and appreciated. I gave it to my dad whose birthday we were celebrating. read more

There is a lot to like about Lorimar Winery, though a few details kept the experience from being great. The winery and its grounds are both beautiful and spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The sangria was unfortunately quite diluted and lacked flavor, most likely due to the main ingredient, wine, being too light. Actually, there was no fruit either. The charcuterie board was more entertaining than appetizing; the rolled deli ham (which appeared like turkey at first glance) felt like an afterthought or space filler rather than a curated choice. Overall, the board lacked balance and texture, with components that felt mismatched and underwhelming. On the bright side, the Brussels sprouts were flavorful and came in a generous portion. The mimosa flights were enjoyed by my friends, fun, fruity, and refreshing. I should have ordered the mimosa flight instead; the sangria, while a good idea on a hot day, was unfortunately watered down and surprisingly bland. Service was friendly, though we had to ask for ice (on a very hot day) and utensils to share the board. The outdoor patio seating area is large and includes misters, which are a thoughtful touch for cooling things down, though sitting too close can be uncomfortable due to the spray. The beautiful thing is, they have live music and entertainment. I've also visited in the past and enjoyed a Reserve Wine Tasting, which included six 1-ounce pours of my choice from the Sparkling, White, Rosé, Red, and Reserve tasting menus, a well-rounded experience. read more

My friend's got married there last year and what was served at the wedding was so good! I've also done a couple of tastings over the last year and they've been nice, as well. First of all, thank you Suzy for taking the time to give us a tour and your warm welcome. We came here in search for a venue for a small and intimate wedding anniversary. This place has a great atmosphere, and I appreciate that it was not crowded. It is beautiful with a picturesque vineyard and private reserved area on the lawn. If you walk down the path after the lawn, there is a really nice arch for pictures, and we plan to do a quick little ceremony out there on our event day. I was in the area and was wondering how Lorimar winery had progressed over the years, so I dropped in today for a tasting. To my surprise they had totally revamped the property by expanding the patio area; repurposed the small party room as a tasting room; and created a member's room. Erin D ensured my tasting was perfect, and enjoyable! The wine was good and refreshing, but I didn't understand that the standard sparkling wine was on the reserve list and unavailable for the standard tasting and the only option was a raspberry or peach sparkling? Real wineries don't make soda pop wines! Kudos to their Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay! read more

I really enjoyed this venue it is pretty big and also had a variety of wine cocktails as well which was nice for some of the non wine drinkers in our group. Sunday, 9/29/2024: My good friend invited me to Lorimar's Harvest Festival & thought it would be a terrific idea to make a reservation for brunch at 11:00 am. The grounds are very pretty and it turned out to be a nice day. Brunch was served out on their lovely covered patio. Our server Hunter was so nice and very hardworking. I had coffee with my breakfast burrito, which was delicious and extremely filling. My friend preferred one of the omelets and devoured it. Of course our brunch would not be complete without ordering & drinking a couple of bottles of their tasty Peach wine. I'm not much of a drinker so I got a little buzz. All the while we enjoyed some music & a Stevie Nicks tribute vocalist, who was very good. We then moved over to the festival and scanned some of the vendors in tents. I purchased some creative crocheted items and some baked goods then we sat & enjoy more musical performances. We enjoyed the day and this beautiful winery. We have been members at Lorimar Winery for 8 years. I'm not one to write reviews, especially unpleasant ones. But this time, I have no choice but to let others know what's happening there. My husband and I have really enjoyed the atmosphere, music, food, and the new friends we have met there. We usually go on weekends. We also know about their policy, if you're not there on time for your reservation, after a 20 minute courtesy, your table is given away to other customers who ARE there waiting for a table. I understand that. It has happened to us. We're all on board with their rules. Unfortunately, I have to add that it has been a handful of times where the manager has moved us after being sat down for 20 minutes at a table WITH reservations and has moved us. But there was an especially unpleasant experience last year, where I had called in for reservations for 10 people, my son's graduation celebration, and when we got there, the same front desk employee told us we had to sit outside in the cold because someone else had a party of 25 and they needed the tables for them. I had made reservations 2 months in advance and called up 3 days before to remind them of this reservation. The manager told us we had to move to an available section OUTSIDE the patio. It was March and it was a very cold evening. You can imagine our moods at this point. We had no choice since it was the last minute, and went ahead and sat down where the manager sat all 10 of us, freezing! I will stress that this same manager has done this to us before in which we totally ignored the rudeness, and unprofessionalism. It happened once again this week with same manager. We had made reservations for 2 the day before and we arrived at 6pm on time. We asked the desk if we could get the same table as usual or near same section and she said to follow her to table. She said that section was already taken and told us to sit near the band. I told her I have hearing issues with one ear and pointed to another empty table near the section we preferred and sat at the table. She then said that THAT table was reserved 2 months prior. I found that unusual since it was irrelevant how long ago you made prior reservations because of what had happened to us last March. She said she was calling her manager which happens to be the SAME manager to talk to us, and when manager finally arrived at our table,( 20 minutes later)the person was so RUDE and unprofessional to us. Manager stated that that table has been reserved for months prior and that we needed to move ( I had already sat at the table that was empty for 20 minutes). The manager still insisted we needed to MOVE. I could have been sitting there for an hr and manager still would have moved us. The people who made the reservation to that specific table finally showed up an HOUR later to that table at 7pm. My point, is, this shows an example of client preferences, it's unfair practice towards clients in the workplace and member discrimination. We deserve a happy and inviting atmosphere like everyone else, that is free of such unprofessional and targeted conduct. I hate to think manager is discriminating against us or is this a personal vendetta every time manager sees us now. I am Latina and my husband is American/ Scottish. It is embarrassing to be targeted like this in front of the entire winery. We felt bullyied and it felt as if manager was hostile with us. We saw people pointing at us and felt singled out, it felt completely humiliating. I called up next day to ask for another manager to speak with, but I haven't received a call as yet, it's been a week. We know the owner and every time we see him we speak to him, casual conversation. A very nice guy. I don't know if he reads these sites or if I should just relay my experiences with him when we see him again. My friend told me to video my next visit if this manager targets us again. Also, a bit of advice, show your reservation you get on your email that shows the table you requested, don't know if thats enough proof to get a table of your choice. We just want to be treated with respect like every paying wine member. This person needs to STOP being unprofessional, and unapologetically rude to us. We are members and will happily continue to go there. My son told me to stop being a "KAREN", but this has seriously hurt us! This is not complaining, this note is merely stating our experience with this one individual who should take the job seriously and who should begin to treat people with a bit of respect and fairness. This is an example of what you don't want your customers writing about you. I've never written a review like this, unless it's was a 5 Star review. Be polite and show you're passionate about your job. Mind your manners and smile, prioritizing a strong work ethics, and don't discriminate or harrass anyone, because it'll definitely show extensively. read more

10/19/2024: My go to spot when in Cali. This time around we did dinner. Another yummy meal. But what made this memorable was the live band. What a vibe. The music the dancing I had such an amazing time. Definitely a Saturday night hang out spot. Service was ok. Much preferred server for brunch last year. My flatbread was delicious. Menu has changed up a bit. Very disappointed they longer served the strawberry cheesecake. I was so looking forward to it for dessert. But all in all a wonderful time had by all. read more

Came for Sunday Brunch to meet up with a friend and so glad we did! The food is fantastic and the patio atmosphere with live music was very nice. The music was a bit too loud(even only being acoustic guitar), esp for how close some of the tables are. I would have the staff be mindful that - had to request a different seat since we were placed right in front of the speaker/stage as you walk in. I decided to be fancy and get the mimosa flight - which includes a selection of juices, none being orange. I forget what they were but it was something like Apricot, Guava, peach... Pretty sweet but was a nice sipper. Shining star of the menu is most definitely the Fig & Goat Cheese Flat Bread. What a fantastic starter to share for the table. DELICIOUS!! I've seen some reviews that were sad when they came and it wasnt on the menu...that tells you everything! If its on the menu when you go, I implore you to get it! The Stuffed Cinnamon Burst French Toast is decadent, as you'd expect. I just wanted to try it; I'm a sucker for riccata cheese (sweet orange infused, omg). If you are with people who are into splitsies...its a good item to share and not commit to the whole thing. Lastly, we got the veggie omlette which was fine, but the "veggies" were a bit lackluster and I only really got the sense of peppers in it - needs more mushrooms! Green sauce is a great choice for it. I will say their country potatoes including purple and orange along with traditional potatoes is a very nice touch. And the piece of delicious bread is just a extra bonus. Our server was wonderful. Attentive and super personable. We had some long chats with her about various things and learned that this is a Jewish winery and they have celebrations for different holidays. I think thats a really cool and unique aspect.
