We chose different wines to taste from sparkling to white wine and red wine. The bartenders, Michael and Justine took great care of us, they were super friendly and easy to talk to. My friends and I went here after going to another winery because they're open until 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays unlike the majority of nearby wineries that close at 5pm. The winery was packed and the parking lot was full so we had to circle back and park on the road just outside of the winery which isn't too far of a walk. We came here on a Saturday and there was a live band that played rock songs and they were great and entertaining! There were lots of people dancing and having a good time. This review is solely based on the food and restaurant since I didn't have any wine since I was the designated driver. Their restaurant has a large shaded patio area for dining. Luckily my friend made a reservation because it was packed and she said she made it way in advance. We actually had more people join us and we tried to ask if we could also have the table next to us, but unfortunately they had full reservations. However, one of the servers was able to put another table at the end with extra chairs which was perfect. All of the staff provided excellent customer service and our server was on top of everything! We had a large group and she made sure to get us everything we needed and made sure to refill our water carafes since it was hot out. Not only was their service fantastic, but their food was also delicious! I ordered the mango habanero wings which were sweet and not too spicy, as well as their cajun fries. The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned. My friends ordered pizzas and salads and they enjoyed their food as well. Very disappointing. We've visited Lorimar several times and never had a bad experience until yesterday. Our food arrived in 2 minutes, and the wings were clearly not fresh--dry, burnt, and overcooked, with sauce covering the dryness. The "brisket" sandwich was equally disappointing, with dry, poor-quality meat. Serious quality-control issue in the kitchen. The music was the only reason we stayed. We got wine flights, proscuitto, fig, and goat cheese pizza, caprese salad, and burrata. Wine Flight- Perfectly refreshing! They had a variety of sweet wines and some on the dryer side. Good flavors and contrast overall. Proscuitto, Fig and Goat Cheese Pizza- Chewy crust with a light crisp edge. The flavor combinations were perfect. Proscuitto was savory. The goat cheese was creamy. Arugula gave it a sharpness. Figs added a brightness and sweetness that tied it all together. Caprese Salad- Cheese was fresh and paired well with juicy tomatoes. Balsamic glaze and fresh basil added an extra layer to the taste. Burrata- Burrata was tasty and fresh. The balsamic glaze, basic, and tomatoes added an extra zing to the mild flavor of the cheese. I saw other tables getting much better service. Our waitress was an older lady. She seemed to be extremely overwhelmed, and was rather Snappy. She was running back and forth, from the front to the back of the restaurant doing her best. Despite her seeming to be severely stressed, we gave her patience. BUT... the food was cold, when we asked for condiments, she forgot. When it was time to pay the bill, she told us we had to wait until she took a few orders. Ended up being a fairly long wait. The hub and I stopped in on a Friday afternoon during a recent wine tasting trip to Temecula. We purchased two tastings for $25 each, which allowed us to try six wines of our choosing. We tried most of the dry white and red wines available. Most were fine; one or two were really not good, and there were three that I enjoyed: Sauvignon Blanc, Tempranillo/Barbara, and the Cabernet Sauvignon. Lorimar Vineyards has been here over 15 years and it's one of the many vineyards and wineries in Temecula Valley. Decided to stop here and revisit for a late lunch. As soon as I walked inside, the host Dakota was super cordial and got me seated at their outdoor patio beneath sun shades, next to the vineyard and I had a perfect unobstructed view of the jazz performer on stage. After seating, I ordered a glass of their signature Cabernet Sauvignon and the Fromagé plate, which was presented shortly afterwards. The fromagé plate had a variety of cheeses, seedless red grapes, dried apricots, fig preserve spread and additionally a plate of bread... perfect for sharing or not. The saxophone player played contemporary music which was all entertaining as I noshed and sipped vino. Their signature Cabernet Sauvignon was quiet lovely; aroma and depth of flavors was perfect with the fromagé ...love!! After the lunch, a stroll around the grounds to see more vineyards, felt the breeze on a hot day was nice. Inside the gift shop there was so much to peruse through, but some of the stuff will definitely get a giggle out of you. There's an art gallery connected to the main building. I wouldn't call it an art gallery but many walls were dedicated to showcasing local artists work depicting the Temecula Valley lifestyle. In the same room is the wine tasting bar and most of the people inside the art gallery seemed to be more interested in wine tasting than the art lol This was my second time visiting, both times, I had a great first impression and last impression from the ambiance, food and service. We had a reservation, so we were seated right away, which was a good start. We came on a Sunday during a three-day weekend, so we expected it to be busy, and we were still there to have a good time. That said, service was definitely not the fastest. Once we got seated, it took about 30 minutes for someone to greet us and take our order. Our server was sweet, so I don't want to put it all on her, but it did seem like the restaurant could have used more servers to accommodate the crowd. The food was okay. I purchased a Groupon for Lorimar Vineyards & Winery. It was our first time visiting this winery, and it will definitely not be our last. Our server was Chris. He was absolutely AMAZING! He was so entertaining and friendly. We asked him if we could taste only red wines. OMG!! We enjoyed every single red wine we tasted, which is rare. It was really hard to decide which bottle to purchase. We ended up choosing a bottle of 2021 Montepulciano. Honestly, I was surprised at how reasonably priced their wines were. I've been a wine club member at four other wineries in the past, and their prices were such a pleasant surprise. Chris provided wine club information to us before we left, and we even got to meet his lovely wife who also works there. We had such a great time! Lou is the kind of person who makes you want to come back. He's incredibly attentive, genuinely friendly, and has a real passion for wine that comes through in every conversation. He's very knowledgeable but never makes you feel intimidated. Instead, he takes the time to learn what you like, shares great recommendations, and makes the whole experience fun and memorable. Had a family day at the winery and it was great! The weather was perfect to take our 5-month-old and sit outside with some wine. Brought my parents along as well. They don't drink wine so my mom was the DD and my dad sampled a flight with us. The ambiance was great. Lots of seating in various areas and child friendly. The flights are priced well at $25 for 6 pours, and the knowledgeable sommelier even gave us an additional glass. Overall the taste of wine was OK, but nothing we'd purchase. I don't recommend the charcuterie board. It was an unimpressive spread of lunch meat, grapes, cheese, and crackers that I believe cost $30 something. I'd return for the atmosphere and try some different wines and maybe food from the restaurant. Overall was happy with the visit. read more

Decided to have lunch here today and I ordered a good glass of red wine and the Turkey Bacon Sandwich. The wine was excellent and the sandwich was very good as it came with fries. Our server was Kristin and she was wonderful. The music was good and we enjoyed our time there. It seems things have changed at this winery, we have been members for almost 10 years but the personnel has changed and I don't see the same managers from before. The event we attended was the 6th Annual Sundresses & Fedoras Day Party. It was really good. The vendors were all great and the food and drinks were amazing. And all the service folks were great as well. The only comment that wasn't good was allowing smoking of cigars throughout your property. This was awful for all non-smokers, and former smokers like me. If this can't be rectified then I won't be returning. Hopefully this can be looked into and addressed. read more

Ashleigh and Dakota served us with a few tastes before choosing a wine to pour for a glass. We tried the Berbera, the Petite Savoy, and one other wine. All were great! We are 3 year members at Lorimar and we love coming back every summer and fall! Their wines especially the reds are so unique and are not mass produced so the winery or club membership is the only way to get yourself some bottles. Erin took over a half hour to take our order. We waited for everything all night! After our order was finally in still waited another 10 minutes or so for drinks. The charcuterie board was more entertaining than appetizing; the rolled deli ham (which appeared like turkey at first glance) felt like an afterthought or space filler rather than a curated choice. Overall, the board lacked balance and texture, with components that felt mismatched and underwhelming. On the bright side, the Brussels sprouts were flavorful and came in a generous portion. The mimosa flights were enjoyed by my friends, fun, fruity, and refreshing. I should have ordered the mimosa flight instead; the sangria, while a good idea on a hot day, was unfortunately watered down and surprisingly bland. Service was friendly, though we had to ask for ice (on a very hot day) and utensils to share the board. The outdoor patio seating area is large and includes misters, which are a thoughtful touch for cooling things down, though sitting too close can be uncomfortable due to the spray. The beautiful thing is, they have live music and entertainment. I booked Lorimar Vineyards and Winery to celebrate my 30th birthday with a party of 10. We encountered a level of disrespect from staff that I've genuinely never experienced at a restaurant or winery before. To be transparent: half our group ran more than 30 minutes late due to a road closure and GPS confusion. We called ahead, explained the situation, and even asked the winery for directions. Staff confirmed that since part of our party will arrive on time, we were welcome to proceed with the reservation. Walking in, I passed two servers openly talking down about another table of guests, which set an uneasy tone before our visit had even begun. Once seated, we were given plastic St. Patrick's Day cups instead of glassware, despite it being late March, and no other table on the patio was served this way. It felt like a small but pointed signal of mistreatment. The low point came when a guest accidentally spilled a drink. We asked a server for help, and he responded by tossing his cleaning rag at me rather than addressing the spill himself. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes. My friend and I brought our concerns to a manager, who said he'd speak with the server. The server did apologize afterward, which I appreciated, but it didn't erase the feeling of disrespect. I understand that running late put the staff in an awkward position, and in hindsight, calling to cancel might have been the better call on our end. But running late isn't an invitation for bullying, and no guest, late or not, deserves to be mocked or handed a dirty rag instead of basic courtesy. The service was absolutely horrible. We were a group of 4, arrived around 7:30 and were seated in the patio straight behind the host desk. Our waitress was incredibly rude and aggressive, clearly showing annoyance with how she was setting things down on our table. I don't remember her name, but she was short with black hair. It started when I asked about the cork fee, she basically was yelling at me saying how they don't do that here, which is fine, but it was just a question. After this, she slammed the glass of water onto our table. Later, I went to the bar to ask about the wine tasting I had on my groupon, and when the waitress found out, the group I was with at the table told me she slammed the tablet where they take orders onto the table and RAN after me. Who is this woman?? What is going on lol. Anyways the bartender told me I could do it but after our crazy server ran across the restaurant to find me, she said I can't do the wine tasting even though the groupon was good until 8:30PM. This is when my wife called me to let me know slammed her things down to chase me and we decided to finally leave. Crazy experience. For both wine and food, Lorimar is a very solid choice. Their Sangiovese is fantastic and all food I've had has been yummy. My friend's got married there last year and what was served at the wedding was so good! I've also done a couple of tastings over the last year and they've been nice, as well. The property is also super pretty. I recommend checking it out if you're making a day in Wine Country. read more

First of all, thank you Suzy for taking the time to give us a tour and your warm welcome. We came here in search for a venue for a small and intimate wedding anniversary. This place has a great atmosphere, and I appreciate that it was not crowded. It is beautiful with a picturesque vineyard and private reserved area on the lawn. If you walk down the path after the lawn, there is a really nice arch for pictures, and we plan to do a quick little ceremony out there on our event day.
