AHH-MAZING! I went to Truffle Pig with a member. We decided to get his several wine pickups and buy a fantastic T SHIRT. We decided to get glasses of the Market Red, very delicious! The Pig Pen Lounge was next, what a beautiful surprise. The members only Lounge is exceptional as well. It was decorated perfectly. It was a little dark, which was fine with us. The smell of ultra rich leather and fine wine was present. Lastly, we snuck over to have dinner at Domenicos. The service was second to none. Elizabeth, the bartender extraordinaire took care of our every need. She was EXTREMELY attentive to everyone, it was busy. We ordered a flatbread and fish tacos, a few cocktails as well. We've been here several times and I don't think we'll be back for awhile. The food is good, not amazing, but for a winery it's good. Unfortunately the service is very lacking here. Everytime we've been here whether it's a big group or a party of 2, it's taken so long for anyone to acknowledge us once we've sat down. For our anniversary, my husband had to go grab someone after sitting down for almost 30min. Our section wasn't full/busy and every table next to us got serviced except for us. It is quite disappointing and not only did we feel ignored, our food also came out cold. What would've been a great night quickly became a sour one. My husband felt so bad that our anniversary dinner wasn't up to par, but not his fault. Hopefully they take this feedback and turn it around. read more

Beautiful ambiance and excellent service. The sangria was absolutely delicious and definitely one of the highlights! The limoncello was okay. For my meal, I ordered the chicken fried pork, and unfortunately it was very bland and lacked flavor. I really wanted to love the food because everything else about the experience was so nice. With a little more seasoning and flavor in the dishes, this place could be so much better. Stopped here for lunch with my friends and the food is absolutely amazing! We had Madison as our waitress/bartender and she was fantastic! Then we had Lexi who made our table side Caesar salad which came out delicious; the flavoring and seasoning was great, and then at the end she added croutons and bacon! YUM!! The Brussels sprouts appetizer was cooked perfectly and I loved the balance between the sweet and savory flavoring with the dried cranberries and goat cheese. The steakhouse flatbread was amazing as well the flavoring on the steak and then the Gorgonzola cheese and chimichurri was such a good combo I def want to get this again!! After dining at Domenico's we decided to walk around the truffle puff winery. By the way this winery used to be called Avensole... There was a very BEAUTIFUL pond with various types of BIRDS! The bird with the long neck really got my ATTENTION... The winery was very peaceful and calming. The landscape was so surreal and there were PICTURE Opportunities everywhere. The tasting room was closed so we just decided to walk around and we saw some great wedding venues on site... FOOD: 9/10 at Domenico's which was on site. I will post a review for it later... The teenager that made it has likely never had it in any high end restaurant, and while making a big show of tasting it several times, she has no idea what it should really taste like. It was terrible. She should have offered me a tasting as it was my meal. She tried, but apparently didn't have the proper worldly experience be serving what should be a high end dish. The price was certainly high end... Super disappointing. I asked for light dressing, my salad was sopping and then drooping in minutes. During my first bite the gal that was supposed to be my real waitress came who was collecting the tip that the salad girl who put out a tip jar and told me that she hoped she got some from the servers at the end of the week, started firing questions at me. I was raised not to talk with my mouth full. She just kept going as I nodded. All she served me was water. She came back later and asked how the side salmon for the salad that was served by the salad girl was treating me. How is a side of salmon supposed to treat me? The bone marrow was barely melted and served solo. A few crackers maybe? Crostini? Something? I heard they aren't doing well. Hard to imagine! 3 times and out for me. read more

Have been here a couple of times. One of the newer wineries in Temecula. The property is very nice. Lots of outdoor picnic areas and seating areas, very nicely landscaped. This gem of a winery is in the old Avensole location - but with so many upgrades and improvements. Featuring a beautiful pond, the area outside of the tasting room is a perfect place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The tasting room itself is beautiful, and the staff is helpful and not at all snobby. We got some great recommendations from Coby. My husband who enjoys a sweeter wine loved the white zin which was reminiscent of starburst. I really liked the rose which had a similar flavor without the sweetness. We also enjoyed some food at the restaurant on property (Domenicos). There was live music on the patio which was truly the perfect volume - you could still have a conversation but it made for really nice ambience. Do not sleep on the truffle brussel sprouts - insanely yummy. They are thinly shaved, perfectly crisped, the right amount of salty, and topped with crumbled goat cheese and pomegranate seeds. We will come back for this dish! We also really enjoyed the truffle humus flatbread which was topped with asparagus. The limoncello martini was rimmed with sugar and was tasty (and strong, so beware). Our server was Hannah and she was excellent. This was our first time visiting Truffle Pig Winery and from the moment we arrived we were impressed by the atmosphere and overall vibe. The winery itself is beautiful and inviting and instantly made us feel relaxed and excited to be there. Dining at Domenico's truly elevated the experience. Trinity our server was amazing and made such a positive impression right away. From the moment we were seated she was friendly attentive and genuinely welcoming. We knew almost immediately that we liked this restaurant and vineyard. Everything felt warm and welcoming and the experience never felt rushed. We ordered the market red and absolutely loved it. I've always loved the design and layout of this winery. Avensole put it together and Renzoni improved. Being a pig and hunting truffles gives way in the bold black designs in the club room and gen pop tasting room. The lineup so far has four reds, a port, rose and a few nice whites. Something for everyone. Staff is friendly and very nice grounds. Patio seating is abundant with good cushions. Also lower patio has a couple of big screen tv's. Just a note they are not dog friendly. Other than that they score in the wine and seating. There's also an on-site restaurant called Domenicos. Good food. read more

Truffle Pig's (preciously Avensole) new owners have revamped the winery with a black and white themed decor, giving it a more traditional and elegant feel. Their temporary wine tasting room, The Pig Pen, is dark and cozy, with a fireplace and comfortable overstuffed leather couches. The lattice covered patio area is also comfortable with nice seating. Once their tasting room opens up The Pig Pen will be their members only area. Their Truffle Pig wine offerings are a bit limited for now, but what they do offer are quite good. Their GSM, Grenache, Nebiola, and Market red are all very good. I do look forward to having a choice of some bolder reds in the future. With co-owners Robert Renzoni and Domenic Galleano, I expect more good things are yet to come. We shall see. read more

I came in on a Friday night with my fiancée, my cousin, her husband, and a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday and a promotion. It was my first time here, but my cousin spoke highly of the place, so we were excited to try it. We were seated on the patio, which had a great atmosphere--fire features and heating towers kept us warm on a cool Temecula night. We started with the fried burrata and wedge salads, both of which were fantastic. I ordered the beef Wellington, my go-to whenever I see it on a menu, and it absolutely delivered. The meat was perfectly cooked, the pastry was crisp, and the pâté inside tied everything together beautifully. My fiancée had the sea bass and loved how light and delicate it was. Everyone else at the table really enjoyed their meals as well. The drink selection was another highlight. They had a solid lineup of bourbons and whiskeys, including my favorite--Michter's--which paired perfectly with the beef Wellington. The rest of the group ordered the house sangria, and it was a big hit. Service from our waiter was excellent from start to finish. Jen, the restaurant manager is a friend of my cousin so she took great care of us. The entire dining experience was top-notch, and I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu. Currently my favorite restaurant. Anytime I'm in the area I make sure to stop by. All the food I've tried has been fantastic. The wine is excellent and a bottle of their red blend is under $40 which is awesome. Food prices are on the higher side but you get what you pay for. Service has always been great as well.
