Had an amazing time here today at Wilson Creek Winery. Of the 4 wineries we visited today this was by far the best ambience and service. Our lead server Bryan made the entire winery experience so much more enjoyable by making knowledgeable recommendations and taking the time to talk to us every time we returned to try another wine despite the fact that he was extremely busy with other customers, he made you feel like you were the only customer there every time I interacted with him. Visited here yesterday for a friends birth We spent the day at Wilson Creek Winery and it seriously blew us away!! Last time I was here was probably 12 years ago, and WOW has this place changed. It's basically the Disneyland of wineries now! There's a mimosa station when you arrive, wine tastings in the main building, cabana-style seating on the lawn, and tables and chairs almost everywhere you look. They also have an onsite grille restaurant, wine clubs, tours, and the cutest little shop inside. The property itself is beautiful with tons of photo spots, vineyards you can stroll through, and even a little man-made lake that gives the whole place a whimsical feel. There's also a ballroom with a huge projector where we watched the World Cup game! And random but important... bathrooms everywhere. The dress code is super chill here! It was HOT when we visited, and I even saw guys walking around in flip-flops, so definitely dress comfortably for the weather. They even have a shuttle that picks you up and drops you off at the parking lot! It comes around about every 15 minutes, and tips are welcomed. Our shuttle driver told us Wilson Creek has a contract with Disneyland, where they sell their infamous Almond Champagne, and you can also find some of their champagnes at Ralph's! The staff were all super friendly! For tastings, you purchase a tasting card at the register and then belly up to the wine bar to choose your pours. You can also just grab a glass or bottle of wine, and they even have beers on tap! You can get married here, host an event, grab food, spend the day wine tasting, or just hang out and enjoy the property. We came to celebrate a friend's birthday which also happened to be the anniversary of 9-11. When we arrived, we were informed that they were closing early for a private event that was being held there. Sounds ok as we didn't think that we'll be there more than an hour to an half. The whole stage area and courtyard wasn't open as they were setting up the area for the concert. Only the side patio and back area was open for outdoor use. And the tasting room inside. The last time I was here was also during a holiday weekend which was packed. Both the tasting room and patio was completely utilized with everyone and it was first come first serve. This visit, mainly the tasting room was utilized. We did wanted to be inside but it was pretty full and we had a big group. Ended up outside which they had a lot of open table. It was pretty hot out even with the misters on. The tasting counter is where you would have your tasting. I don't know if they serve you outside or only at the counter. But it seemed like everything was done there. You can purchase a bottle and take it to your table. All the cold drinks, sparking wine and so on was in the fridge along the wall. Grab what you need and pay for it and an ice bucket and glasses will be given to you. The reds are along the front and same concept, glasses will be given to you if you wanted to enjoy it outside. Same as last we just enjoyed a bottle ourself on the patio. Food can also be ordered which we did get a couple of items. The winery itself is ok. The grounds is massive with the stage area and then you have the vineyards behind the area. It's a beautiful property if you wanted to walk through the wines and it's beautiful for pictures. I would like them to have table service where you can have your tasting outside and assigned someone who takes care of you the whole time instead of being inside along the counter. The place is nice to walk around. I'm sure you can take your drink and wander but then have to come back for your next pour. Overall, it's decent for a big groups as there's a big courtyard. I really like visiting Wilson Creek. It is usually busy so prepare for that but they have so many places to sit, water misters, and I love the fact that you can walk through the fields. The only thing is the service isn't always spectacular. I'd rather get a bottle and spend time outside and not be at the bar too. We tried lots of different wines including the sauvignon blanc and petite sirah but our favorites were the different sparkling wines. It was less of a quiet wine-tasting vibe and more like a party-vibe. There were tons of people and we saw a lot of bachelorette parties. The music was loud and there was a fun social vibe. There were still some vineyards that you could walk through and take pictures, but the core of the action is where the food and drinks are. Even though it was geared toward adults I saw a lot of kids and strollers around. We spent a couple hours here drinking the different wines and relaxing at the table. It was fun to people-watch and just enjoy the experience and energy. If you are coming to Temecula Wine Country, this should be one of the places on your list to visit. read more

They say they serve food but there is no restaurant. You can order and get it to go. We decided to get a $35 charcuterie plate from the fridge. It was pricey but, totally worth it. The line around the bar waiting for samples or to get a glass of wine not worth it two bartenders for 25 to 35 people all at the same time it has acute store but it's very touristy and you wait a long time. We came here on a Saturday a couple hours before closing and were expecting to be turned away from the section of the Winery that closes earlier. Upon inquiring we were pleasantly surprised and were taken to the part of the Winery we had hoped to visit. We were mindful that our time was limited and wanted to be respectful of the staff so we ordered quickly with our wonderful server Diana who was so lovely, patient, knowledgeable of wine selections and even made a recommendation for places in the area. Every member of the staff at Wilson's were so friendly, warm, helpful and accommodating. There was a larger party who were a bit loud but we inquired about moving outside and again were accommodated. I was recommended the Grapeline Wine Tour from the Front Desk agent that checked me in at the Embassy Suites. I can confirm I really enjoyed the tour! The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. Wilson Creek Winery was our first stop of the tour. The winery is very nice and well kept. We walked over to Michael and Brian at the bar. They gave us some wine to start the tour off. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. "Motor City Mike" is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. By the end of the tour, we had tasted five different wines already. Came to Wilson's Creek Winery to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and I'm so glad we chose this spot. From the moment we got there, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I had called ahead about bringing a cake because of the heat, and they were more than accommodating. When we arrived, they kindly took it and kept it in the fridge for us, which I really appreciated with how hot it was that day. Sonia at the front was amazing. I went up to her a few times throughout our visit and she was always so sweet, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. That kind of service really stands out. They have plenty of parking and are on a beautiful property! They have so many picture spots and sitting areas to enjoy your wine. We came here as our first stop. They have the store were you buy your wine and souvenirs. They do try to keep you in there for the flight to avoid giving you too many glasses but we asked for more as we were sharing flights (we were going to have plenty of stops). This is a family friendly place with an upscale feel. They have a nice looking restaurant on property and a place for events. We went during the holidays so they have photo ops with holiday theme. Everything about this winery is so magical! The place is absolutely stunning! They have such delicious and tasty wine! And I love getting some charcuterie when I do the tasting. The only bad part is the service, specially when you're doing the wine tasting. Some bartenders are rude and pretend they're not seeing you're there. This is the party and vibes winery if there ever was one. As soon as you walk up, it's like an ongoing celebration of life, community and wine. I can't really pin down the crowd-there's families complete with parents and their babies, you got the elderly, middle age, single men and women, of perhaps all backgrounds. That made things feel really welcoming. You could connect with just about anyone there. It wasn't so crowded that you couldn't move. We came in the late afternoon and were still able to find seats outside-in the sun-but we found seats. The parking lot can be packed-at least it was when we got there. We found parking near the end of the fence. Loved the energy, the variety of amenities and people. We got a bottle of wine in less than 3 minutes and were able to enjoy it out on the lawn together. We did the Library Wine Tasting, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a more elevated, relaxing experience. The charcuterie board had a delicious variety of cheeses and meats, and the hummus board was one of my favorite parts. The veggies were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the hummus was so good we couldn't stop eating it. Every wine we tasted was delicious. At one point, our server asked if we wanted to try something fun, and of course we said yes! He made us what he called a "Jolly Rancher" by mixing the Watermelon Sparkling wine with the Lemoncello Sparkling wine, and it was so refreshing and delicious. Definitely ask for it if you're there! We loved everything so much that we ended up buying several bottles, plus a few fun items from the gift shop downstairs. They have a beautiful wine room and lots of great merchandise to browse. I also recommend joining the wine club. The membership comes with complimentary tastings, discounts on wine, and savings on special tasting experiences. As a wine club member, I was able to do the Library Wine Tasting for just $20, and my guests were also only $20 each, which made it an incredible value. Very large winery with lots of seating and food options. This is one of the largest wineries in Temecula. Over this holiday weekend it was packed. We did find a nice table in the large courtyard. Okay a long over due review. I have been here more times than I count. Although, I'm not a member myself, I've made it into their promotional videos that's how often I'm there I've attended with members before and love the benefits of their membership like monthly wine bottle pick ups and free tastings for guests, I just couldn't drink all that wine myself so that's why I opt out of the membership. You can do a simple wine tasting downstairs and walk around the property, up into the vineyards or find a comfortable seat in the courtyard. My favorite experience is the doing the sit down wine tasting in the Library Room and ordering a charcuterie board to share. Yes, this tasting is a little more expensive than the downstairs experience but way worth it. An air conditioned room and champagne upon arrival makes this experience memorable from the start. In the library room you can sample wines that are not offered downstairs but my go to favorite is the white cab. Many of the staff have been on property for years now and if you're lucky you'll meet the family's dogs! Weekends are often packed (it feels like a whole party with kids running around and multiple bachelorette parties celebrating near you) and weekdays tend to be slower and more calm. Wilson also has evening concerts and live music. Other points, they have a restaurant, a walk up snack bar with a wine slushy (not my favorite but my friends love it on a hot day), they'll celebrate your special occasions with you and even shuttle you back to your car. Always a good choice for a good time if it's your first time in Temecula or you're a sweet wine kind of girly. read more

The wines here are amazing. Upon arrival, we noticed the parking area was one of the largest we have seen so far, and it looked like they even offered rides for guests who parked farther away. Personally, I am not a fan of such large crowds, although the wine quality was better than during my previous visit. For the value, the wines are much more reasonably priced compared to surrounding wineries, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite how busy it was, the service stood out. Our bartender attended to us in a timely manner and was both patient and kind. There is an indoor area, but it was not spacious enough to comfortably accommodate everyone. The air conditioning was essential, especially given how brutally hot it was outside. The property itself is beautiful and lively. There were people taking photos among the vines, and the restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, possibly even an upstairs area. The space overall felt massive. I would have liked to see more indoor seating or additional cooling options outdoors, such as misting systems or fans, to make the experience more comfortable in the heat. Strong wine, fair pricing, and good service help balance out the crowding and heat. read more

My friends and I did a Temecula trip for my birthday and this was our favorite winery of the day!!! We showed up around 1pm with about 15 people. We didn't sign up to do a tasting or anything, and we had no issue finding enough tables and seats on the pavilion. We got 7 bottles for the group and loved all of them - their peach wine was nice and sweet. You're able to walk around the vineyard accessible near the back of the communal space. Lovely photo ops. Bathrooms were clean and water was available. They also sell food and other alcoholic drinks so there's something for everyone. I'd highly recommend!! read more
