Wilson Creek Winery is a popular winery that spans 90 acres in Temecula Wine Country. It was founded in 1996 and has a huge space, private residences, restaurants, and covered patios. You buy a tasting card at the counter and then you can try any six wines on their menu. Their most popular is the almond sparkling wine and they offer a variety of other flavors. We tried lots of different wines including the sauvignon blanc and petite sirah but our favorites were the different sparkling wines. It was less of a quiet wine-tasting vibe and more like a party-vibe. There were tons of people and we saw a lot of bachelorette parties. The music was loud and there was a fun social vibe. There were still some vineyards that you could walk through and take pictures, but the core of the action is where the food and drinks are. Even though it was geared toward adults I saw a lot of kids and strollers around. We spent a couple hours here drinking the different wines and relaxing at the table. It was fun to people-watch and just enjoy the experience and energy. If you are coming to Temecula Wine Country, this should be one of the places on your list to visit. read more

Came to Wilson's Creek Winery to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and I'm so glad we chose this spot. From the moment we got there, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I had called ahead about bringing a cake because of the heat, and they were more than accommodating. When we arrived, they kindly took it and kept it in the fridge for us, which I really appreciated with how hot it was that day. Sonia at the front was amazing. I went up to her a few times throughout our visit and she was always so sweet, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. That kind of service really stands out. This is the party and vibes winery if there ever was one. As soon as you walk up, it's like an ongoing celebration of life, community and wine. I can't really pin down the crowd-there's families complete with parents and their babies, you got the elderly, middle age, single men and women, of perhaps all backgrounds. That made things feel really welcoming. You could connect with just about anyone there. It wasn't so crowded that you couldn't move. We came in the late afternoon and were still able to find seats outside-in the sun-but we found seats. The parking lot can be packed-at least it was when we got there. We found parking near the end of the fence. Loved the energy, the variety of amenities and people. We got a bottle of wine in less than 3 minutes and were able to enjoy it out on the lawn together. They have plenty of parking and are on a beautiful property! They have so many picture spots and sitting areas to enjoy your wine. We came here as our first stop. They have the store were you buy your wine and souvenirs. They do try to keep you in there for the flight to avoid giving you too many glasses but we asked for more as we were sharing flights (we were going to have plenty of stops). This is a family friendly place with an upscale feel. They have a nice looking restaurant on property and a place for events. We went during the holidays so they have photo ops with holiday theme. I was recommended the Grapeline Wine Tour from the Front Desk agent that checked me in at the Embassy Suites. I can confirm I really enjoyed the tour! The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. Wilson Creek Winery was our first stop of the tour. The winery is very nice and well kept. We walked over to Michael and Brian at the bar. They gave us some wine to start the tour off. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. "Motor City Mike" is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. By the end of the tour, we had tasted five different wines already. The wines here are amazing. Upon arrival, we noticed the parking area was one of the largest we have seen so far, and it looked like they even offered rides for guests who parked farther away. I was surprised by how packed the winery was. There were birthday parties and bachelorette groups, and I would not be surprised if engagements were happening as well. Personally, I am not a fan of such large crowds, although the wine quality was better than during my previous visit. For the value, the wines are much more reasonably priced compared to surrounding wineries, which was a pleasant surprise. Despite how busy it was, the service stood out. Our bartender attended to us in a timely manner and was both patient and kind. There is an indoor area, but it was not spacious enough to comfortably accommodate everyone. The air conditioning was essential, especially given how brutally hot it was outside. The property itself is beautiful and lively. There were people taking photos among the vines, and the restaurant offered both indoor and outdoor seating, possibly even an upstairs area. The space overall felt massive. I would have liked to see more indoor seating or additional cooling options outdoors, such as misting systems or fans, to make the experience more comfortable in the heat. Very large winery with lots of seating and food options. This is one of the largest wineries in Temecula. Over this holiday weekend it was packed. We did find a nice table in the large courtyard. I had the best time here last Saturday with some new found friends! Everyone that served us was just amazing, the winery itself is beautiful and relaxing, brunch and dinner here were both delicious, and it was just a lovely spot to spend the day with friends! I love love love that they have all these flavored sparkling wines. My fave was the peach bellini sparkling wine. It was really yummy, def sweet, and paired great with both our brunch and dinner. We started out our day getting brunch at the Creekside Grille. Our server Jessica was just lovely. We got our drinks in right away, and got a bottle of the limoncello and peach bellini sparkling wines. My friends liked the limoncello a lot as well, I was def a way bigger fan of the peach bellini. For brunch, we just ordered a bunch of appetizers to share, which were all delicious. We ordered the roasted pear and burrata, waygu sliders, garlic and pecorino rustic fries, and the apple brie and prosciutto flatbread. My fave was the roasted pear burrata - so light and yummy. The waygu sliders were great for our group. of three since we could each have one - they were a little spicy, but yummy. The fries were a great side filler to go with the meal. I didn't eat the flatbread myself as I get full, but both my friends really enjoyed it. After brunch, we went for a self-guided tour of the vineyards. It was so lovely outside. The weather was perfect (California winter = a lovely Spring day lol) and sunny. The vines looked like autumn - the leaves were a rich dark reddish orange color. Very picturesque. There are also a lot of great spots around for a little group selfie that they've set up around the vineyard. After our little tour, we went to the tasting room and tried the different wines. I tried most of the sparkling wines that I thought I'd like. The tasting was really awesome, and our bartender Jerrin was just lovely. It was def a busy day, but he kept our tastings coming, fully described the wine, answered all of our questions, and was just a lovely human being. Our barback Jason was also super friendly and even made some great wine recommendations for our tasting that we really loved. I really liked the brut, rose, and peach bellini personally - with peach bellini being my favorite! But it was still really fun to just try them all. Ps. apparently there's a golden retriever named brut somewhere on the vineyard, but we weren't lucky enough to see him this time around! We had originally thought we'd go home after the tasting, but then decided to just end the day there as well. So after our tasting, we put in our name for the Creekside Grille again so we could get dinner before we headed out. It was a pretty short wait for a table, and we got seated within 30 minutes of putting our name in. During that 30 minutes, we just walked around some more and took pictures. We got the cheeseboard to share, which was really yummy. At dinner, I ordered the wild boar ragu pappardelle, which was also very yummy. It was a bit heavy plus I just ate a bunch of cheese lol, so I only ate like a fourth right then and there, but def took the rest home for dinner the next day. As I wasn't driving, I ordered another bottle of the peach bellini, which was delicious. Our server Nick was super friendly as well and brought everything out very timely. He also brought me a flute when I asked for one (they had run out before but had just done dishes). We'll have to go back again very soon because the shop ended up being closed by the time we finished dinner, but luckily you can buy the peach bellini at a stater bros grocery store, which is what I ended up doing!! My friends and I did a Temecula trip for my birthday and this was our favorite winery of the day!!! We showed up around 1pm with about 15 people. We didn't sign up to do a tasting or anything, and we had no issue finding enough tables and seats on the pavilion. We got 7 bottles for the group and loved all of them - their peach wine was nice and sweet. You're able to walk around the vineyard accessible near the back of the communal space. Lovely photo ops. First off let me say Temecula has a view worth seeing! Took a day trip to Temecula for some wine. There are so many wineries up and down the hillsides. Just breathtaking. Wilson Creek was a VIBE!!! I enjoyed a tasting ($30) with 6 wines and instead of just sitting with all of your glasses in front of you, they give you a card with each tasting selection and as you see fit you go get them one by one. In between glasses I took a stroll through the vineyard and also was able to taste grapes right off of the vine. Wow. I can't say enough about how great this place is! Not only was the wine above excellent, the service was incredible. We walked in not knowing we needed reservations for the library. Thanks to Sarah, we were able to slip in. Then our server Scotty made this experience the best one ever. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and just overall awesome. The wines are amazing here and the Almond sparkling wine is a must try! We also loved the white cab and family reserve heritage, but left with 4 bottles of wine (one of each aforementioned and one peach Bellini). This is by far, our best experience this weekend. Walking in to purchase wine tasting tickets at the register was easy. It was like walking into a store, lots of merchandise for sale. The wine tasting room was huge! So far the biggest I've seen. After purchasing our tickets we opted to sit indoors. As we were trying to find a place to settle ourselves we were warmly greeted by an employee and she led us to an open bar area. So nice! Ok I am a member of the VIP room I do love Wilson Creek, however somethings need to change and I hope the owner reads this and makes some adjustments. When I go on the weekends at 10am I crab some bottles of wines to enjoy on their courtyard with family outside. But when the great side grill opens up at 11am nothing is set up. Poor Rob who is such a sweetheart nothing is ready everything is not ready to go at 11am when they open. He apologizes all the time. You see workers running at 11am to get everything set up. As someone in customer service industry more than 20 years yousgould be up and fully stocked at ready to go at 11am for your customers fully stocked. You should not have your employees apologize every weekend that they don't have everything together. I visited on May 2nd on a Saturday we ate before coming because of this situation. To me that is miss opportunity for sales for food. I've also been insales for more than 20 years. Anyways the VIP room which I love butt the attire for the seats and pillows for the couches haven been worn out and have stains that should be replaced every 6 months for weir in tear. You want to give you're customer Vip experience but the attire need to be attended to.
