I came here today with my bookclub for a meetup and it was the perfect spot for our large group to gather. There is a ton of outdoor seating that's shaded, with misters. Inside the tasting room they did have live music as well. We lucked out and came the first day they opened the kitchen so they have pizzas now! I think most of the ladies ordered themselves one. When this place first opened, right before Covid, the employees were friendly, helpful, and kind. We signed up for the wine club. No pressure sales. It was a smaller venue. There were Adirondack chairs outside, cornhole, etc. It was such a welcoming place. There were food trucks from which to purchase Mexican food etc. out in the parking lot. After Covid, they expanded which is great. The comfy Adirondack chairs turned into metal tables and chairs. The space feels much more crammed. It does not feel so relaxed anymore. And as for the employees, snarky comments should never be tolerated. My daughter-in-law had her mother's retirement party at this establishment. Initially, the woman she talked to on the phone was not very helpful or welcoming. Some other gentleman was VERY helpful and gave the impression that this party was welcome here. On the night of the event, 15 people actually showed up. We had three tables inside. There was one party of 4 in the back corner. The place was empty. There were a few people outside enjoying the live music. The music was great. Anyway, we brought some of our Somerset wines from home but also ordered beers, pizza and champagne. It's not like we were merely using their facility with no benefit to them. A couple came in and used another inside table. Again, there was still open seating inside. We weren't loud. We were respectful. We spent money. When it came time to cut the cake, we asked to borrow a knife. The female employee's comment was, "We can't lend you a knife. This is why we tell people to bring cupcakes" in a very condescending and rude tone. There was absolutely no excuse for that demeanor. She should have been kind. And as a side note, any time someone from our party walked up to the tasting counter, the employees didn't acknowledge them. A male and female were talking to each other and told us we needed to wait. What kind of customer service is that?? I've read through many of the comments and it sounds like bridal parties and bachelor parties are perfectly acceptable. And we all know how rowdy they can get. Kyle & Hunter were a BLAST!!! I've lived here for a while but I hadn't gone to this winery. I don't know why lol! And I ended up here by accident because I had pulled into the one next-door but it was closing. So I looked to see how long the one I parked by was open until and it was until 10 o'clock! So that was fantastic and exactly what I was looking for! I was a little bit worried that the wines were not gonna be great because I had heard of the name but I was surprised we just hadn't gone there. So I went in and I was greeted by Kyle he made the night a blast! For some reason he knew exactly what would work with my pallet. Suggested great white wines for me and just read my mind lol! Pizza was fantastic it's their first night I think having it or something like that. We got the pepperoni and it was so good! Everybody there was super cool the set up and the environment was awesome and the wines were great. So I would say the white wines and then I had the mall back. Definitely coming back! Stopped here on a Friday mid-afternoon and found it pleasantly uncrowded. The venue has a charming atmosphere and great music that adds to the overall experience. There were a few bridal parties present, but they did not interfere with our visit. We were easily able to find a table after purchasing our wine. Only had time to try one sampling and opted for Somerset and so glad we did. Jen took great care of us and answered our many questions with patience and humor. We wanted to sample wines grown in the vineyard specifically, so she tailored our tasting to our request as well as samples wines made from grapes from other parts of Temecula valley. We were pleasantly surprised at how many wines were made from 100% varietals which speaks to the wine maker. There was a blend of tour groups and other wine members in the mix and we were never neglected amongst the crowd. Cute little spot my wife and I stumbled upon one night. We walked in and right away were greeted. The gentleman behind the bar took his time as we tried different wines to get the perfect one! He nailed the flavors for us! They are all super nice there. Fun, modern, friendly place. The merch is also super cool. Wineries like Somerset make a good place to get Christmas gifts. Especially me because my family lives in another state. The night we were there a couple of older guys were jamming singing live, having fun and kept the evening chill. My wife and I bought a bottle of wine and hung out for a while. I recommend taking a visit and when you're there reading the story of the "drunken bunnies." We will be back! read more

So this winery is really unique. They still make their wines in the terracotta amphorae. These large clay jars were used for wine making and storing of wine throughout the Mediterranean during Biblical times. They gave us a short history lesson and tour. Which no other wineries did that on the wine tour. Really nice place but be prepared to wait on those tasting because this winery was extremely busy. And I do mean busy. I don't think they had enough staff members for the Mother's Day crowd. read more

First time at Somerset and I feel that overall everything was a 4/5. The ambiance was very nice with outside seating and indoor seating. The inside is pretty dark inside and has their tastings which is only $25 for 5 tastings. They give you chips to use to try each tastings. The muscat is my fav, especially if you like sweeter wine. The service was good hunter was phenomenal and made sure to explain all the wines and the taste level. Although I didn't care for most of the wines here, my fiancé and I really enjoyed the atmosphere created here. The relaxed vibe was very chill and made it easy to have a conversation with your party and event he bartender if it's not too crowded. Beautiful outside area to sit and relax. Very sunny -- not a ton of coverage or umbrellas. The chairs were also a bit cheap. But, the wine was great. Very dog friendly. They have water for dogs and some were even roaming around. They had the best brut rose. Service was very friendly. A recent trip to Temecula with Te-see and her hubby was fantastic in many ways! The first stop was to the Somerset Vineyard. I had not explored this area of Temecula before. It was venturing out to places new to us. The vibe and service was superb! The staff were were welcoming. You can tell when the staff loves their job, it shows in their passion and friendly manner in which they greet and recommend items based on your preferences. We started our tasting, then ventured out to the outdoor sections. The first area had lots of seating and live entertainment. Spent the weekend with a group of friends at the Somerset estate this past weekend. What a beautiful setting. The estate itself is massive and was great for the seven couples that attended the getaway. It could use some updating but all in all it was a great experience. Came to this winery for a tasting for two. Showed up mid-afternoon on a Friday, and it was fairly busy inside. My wife and I had scheduled an Amphorae tour. This type of winemaking differs from traditional wines because large ceramic vats are used in the winemaking process. Our tour guide was Hunter. He was very knowledgeable about the different varieties of grapes on the vineyard and was also able to describe how the vines grow, are trained, and pruned. He also explained the bottling process to us. After the tour, we returned to the tasting area where we met Kyle. He was doing a great job managing a bachelorette party. Both Kyle and Hunter kept it light and professional. The vineyard offered a great deal on a case of wine. Luckily, we drove out so we have a case to take home. I'm visiting this quiet tranquil Gem hidden in the trails of wine country, yet easy to get here. I walked around to experience the beautiful landscape. Inside I was able to feel the Welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in the patio with the warm sun & breeze just right to enjoy our wine tasting starting at $25. We came early this Saturday morning by the time it was 2PM it was bustling with events & what seemed like Tour buses. It didn't get crowded but it was busy. Nonetheless we experienced a good time of peaceful bliss. Our Wine counselor was friendly & pleasant; Hunter suggested we try Drunk Bunnies and we loved it, it's sweet yet not overwhelming. Leisha, our tour guide, was absolutely fantastic -- incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history and process of amphorae wine making. She explained everything in such an interesting and easy-to-understand way, which made the tour feel very special and unique. I was especially impressed by her depth of knowledge about the wines and the ancient terracotta vessels used in the process. We came here on a wine tour and it was really cool because we got to go back and see the terra-cotta pots that they aged the wine in and they have a few lines that they create from that process so I thought that was really cool. We were not able to taste them, however, so that was kind of a little bit disappointing but since they had such a small yield, it is understandable. They had a few good wines that we tasted and then we also got a full glass of it, and it was really cute inside. It would be nice in the summer to sit outside too. Had a very nice tour and got to see the old fashioned Terra cota pots they use to make some of their wine. This is the old way of making wine and you can absolutely taste the difference in the wine. It's not necessarily a better flavor or worst. It's all interpretation and taste. We ended up liking the white granache they offered so bought a bottle. All very reasonably priced wines and most of what we tried was delicious. The ambiance is very Spanish style and felt warm and cozy. Our tasting included 5 glasses of any wine on their menu including a few sparkling wines. My hubby and I went for the reds. However, I wanted to taste the 2023 Drunk Bunnies Symphony - a white with notes of orange blossom, jasmine & peach. It was refreshing but a tad too sweet for me. We bought a bottle of the 2021 Petite Sirah, which was dark and smooth. ($50 a bottle) A little history about Somerset: Brother's Kurt and John Tiedt decided to go into the wine making business with a group of close friends on this 14 acre vineyard producing sustainably farmed varietals from Southern France as well as select regions in Spain. We decided to visit a spontaneous winery very close to our Airbnb. We chose Somerset out of the blue and we are so happy that we did. Jason , was our fantastic server. He poured some very very interesting wines. It was not a busy day, so we got to go inside to take a peek at the beautiful clay pots that they use for some of their wines, giving us the history of how it all began it was a fantastic experience. It's a very chill place and they're still making changes for the better. They are getting a kitchen to serve their own food and they have live music on most days. They are also pet friendly and have one of the nicest hosts in the business- Kasey. Extremely professional, considerate, and impressive memory to boot. She's honestly the main reason why we grabbed a membership and keep coming back several times a year. They also have an oddly decadent chocolate they sell that pairs well with almost anything. Hubby and I were in Temecula for a short staycation and out of the 4 wineries we ended up going to, this was by far our favorite. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is fantastic - Leisha did an extraordinary job teaching us the history about their wine making process, this is the only winery in temecula that have wine made in Terracotta pots and boy it was tasty. If you get a chance, I highly recommend the tour, the pots are HUGE and gorgeous. I'm not sure if you can get a tasting of their special wine without the tour. I wasn't a fan of their white wine but I enjoyed several of their reds - I'm normally a red wine drinker so don't take my word in regards to the whites. Their sparking wine was a little too sweet for me but good. Make sure to check our Somerset, this will be a regular stop for us whenever we head out to Temecula. read more

First time here with the family for our Christmas outing. Easy to get to, parking right out front which was great for my FIL that uses a cane. They have indoor and outdoor seating with umbrellas, I didn't see any heat lamps though. We sat inside next to the fireplace. Chasen was our wine host and told a great story about the history. The nice thing about their tasting is that you can choose if you want a combo of reds and whites or just red or just white; we had just white since it was day time. The property also has 9 bedrooms and a pool for a wedding or other celebration. They had a pizza truck making wood fire pizza from the parking lot. I have been to Somerset Vineyard and Winery at least three times now, and this winery stands out as my favorite of the several wineries I have visited in Temecula. I first checked it out during an event for the California Teacher's Association and the other times during wine tours with friends. Every time I have been there, I have enjoyed the wine tour, the amazing friendly staff, and all the delicious wines! The outdoor area has always been a lovely place to hang out while enjoying our beverages and nibbling on delicious pizza (every time we've been there, we've been lucky enough to have the pizza truck). They also have had live music at least one of the times, so that's an added bonus.
