So this winery is really unique. They still make their wines in the terracotta amphorae. These large clay jars were used for wine making and storing of wine throughout the Mediterranean during Biblical times. They gave us a short history lesson and tour. Which no other wineries did that on the wine tour. Really nice place but be prepared to wait on those tasting because this winery was extremely busy. And I do mean busy. I don't think they had enough staff members for the Mother's Day crowd.

A very nice vineyard. The ambience was amazing and the service received was top tier! I asked for a white wine and the sweetest one they had and they didn't disappoint. Definitely recommend this place to any wine lovers out there

Beautiful winery with a lot of outdoor seating. Came here for the tour and wine tasting. Tour was very short but it was nice to see where they make the wine and hear the history of this winery and learn more about the wine making process. The wines were good and loved the mild red wines with less acidity. Can't remember the name of the wines but we enjoyed most of them. We would definitely add this winery to our rotation.

Came in for a wine tasting, there was a taco truck and pizza truck. Ambiance was nice and inside was pretty busy. We waited for a bit then got a tasting. Once we found a wine we liked we got a bottle. We liked the Drunk Bunnies Rosè. Staff was friendly.

    Delicious menu

Daniel's Crepes were a fabulous addition to the beautiful wines from Sommerset!! Best food option I've had from any of the wineries. Try a margarita crepe (best tomato sauce, ever) and a glass of Maestro wine. Sommerset, please bring the crepes back!!

What an amazing wine tasting & tour experience! This winery is absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I were so impressed with our wine tasting and tour with Leisha! She was very knowledgeable and detailed in explaining the various wines and amphorae wines that Somerset produces. In addition she provided a history of the winery too. We did sign up for a membership since we enjoyed their products and would be benefiting for a close out of town getaway. Totally impressive winery!

Beautiful outside area to sit and relax. Very sunny -- not a ton of coverage or umbrellas. The chairs were also a bit cheap. But, the wine was great. Very dog friendly. They have water for dogs and some were even roaming around. They had the best brut rose. Service was very friendly. They had a bus stop during our stay, so they got a lot of service while we relaxed with our glasses.

Cute little spot my wife and I stumbled upon one night. We walked in and right away were greeted. The gentleman behind the bar took his time as we tried different wines to get the perfect one! He nailed the flavors for us! They are all super nice there. Fun, modern, friendly place. The merch is also super cool. Wineries like Somerset make a good place to get Christmas gifts. Especially me because my family lives in another state. The night we were there a couple of older guys were jamming singing live, having fun and kept the evening chill. My wife and I bought a bottle of wine and hung out for a while. I recommend taking a visit and when you're there reading the story of the "drunken bunnies." We will be back!

Spent the weekend with a group of friends at the Somerset estate this past weekend. What a beautiful setting. The estate itself is massive and was great for the seven couples that attended the getaway. It could use some updating but all in all it was a great experience. Somerset had a great live musician playing one of the nights down at the winery and obviously great wine to go with it.

First time at Somerset and I feel that overall everything was a 4/5. The ambiance was very nice with outside seating and indoor seating. The inside is pretty dark inside and has their tastings which is only $25 for 5 tastings. They give you chips to use to try each tastings. The muscat is my fav, especially if you like sweeter wine. The service was good hunter was phenomenal and made sure to explain all the wines and the taste level. They only have food trucks which I feel they should have food here and more options for food choices. This is a nice winery to see and try their wines. -Marshay D.

A recent trip to Temecula with Te-see and her hubby was fantastic in many ways! The first stop was to the Somerset Vineyard. I had not explored this area of Temecula before. It was venturing out to places new to us. The vibe and service was superb! The staff were were welcoming. You can tell when the staff loves their job, it shows in their passion and friendly manner in which they greet and recommend items based on your preferences. We started our tasting, then ventured out to the outdoor sections. The first area had lots of seating and live entertainment. We found a table on the other side in the covered patio. -$40 wine tasting and tour available. -Watch for their annual Wine Stomp event priced at $200+ for your Team of 4 people. -Gift shop and wine accessories. -Food truck on-site. -Ample free parking in their private lot. Drop on by and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary and Te-see sent ya!

I'm visiting this quiet tranquil Gem hidden in the trails of wine country, yet easy to get here. I walked around to experience the beautiful landscape. Inside I was able to feel the Welcoming atmosphere. We stayed in the patio with the warm sun & breeze just right to enjoy our wine tasting starting at $25. We came early this Saturday morning by the time it was 2PM it was bustling with events & what seemed like Tour buses. It didn't get crowded but it was busy. Nonetheless we experienced a good time of peaceful bliss. Our Wine counselor was friendly & pleasant; Hunter suggested we try Drunk Bunnies and we loved it, it's sweet yet not overwhelming. We took those "Bunnies" home lol Cheers!! Experience it for yourself this week, parking is free.

Came on a sunny Wednesday. We loved the place. It wasn't crowded at all. Bought the Groupon deal and was very worth it. Lovely place!

Since no birthday celebration in wine country would be complete without a wine tour, I reached out to one of their recommended wine tour companies, Tour del Vino. We've done group wine tours before and while large groups can be fun, this time we wanted something private and a little more pampered, and that's exactly what we got. From the very first contact, Sue was amazing. While I had pinpointed a few wineries we were interested in visiting, she asked thoughtful questions to make sure she could create the exact experience we were looking for. She then took care of everything, essentially acting as our personal coordinator for the day. Sue arrived promptly at the bed and breakfast in a luxurious Denali stocked with bottled water, and our day began. Our first winery was Danza del Sol, where we enjoyed a private patio tasting with our own sommelier. Granted, it was early in the day and still early in the year, but I actually highly recommend that timing (the off-season) if you truly want to learn about wine. We were able to ask questions and learn so much. As we enjoyed a special food and wine pairing that Sue had arranged, overlooking the vineyard, we toasted to what was already shaping up to be a perfect day. Our next stop was Altisima, where Sue had arranged a beautiful lunch with a stunning view. We tasted five wines during lunch and ran a little behind schedule for our next stop, but that was no problem at all, Sue simply called ahead and took care of everything. On the drive between wineries, the conversation flowed easily and Sue shared interesting background about the area, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our final stop was Doffo, where we explored part of the "Motodoffo Collection" (vintage motorcycles and memorabilia) before settling onto a quiet patio as the sommelier brought out our tastings. It was the perfect ending to the day. At each winery, Sue took photos for us, guided us through the property, and introduced us to our hosts. It was obvious she had wonderful relationships with everyone involved. It was also clear she had told each winery that we were celebrating my husband's birthday, because at every stop he received a special treat: sparkling wine, churros, and even an extra taste of port. Sue drove us back to the bed and breakfast and told me to text her if we needed any recommendations during the rest of our stay. And I did! The next evening we wanted to go out for dinner, but many places close early in the area. Sue texted me three restaurant recommendations; but she didn't just send the names, she sent the menus for each one. One of my favorite quotes is, "Go the extra mile, it's never crowded." Sue truly lives by that philosophy. She and Tour del Vino are in a class of their own. On a 5-star scale, I give Tour del Vino a 10.
