If you're looking for a cozy environment for wine tasting this is it! Briar Rose is like a fairytale location tucked away in the Temecula wine country! I took my friend here for a tasting on her birthday because it looks just like snow whites cottage. The staff was very friendly & knowledgeable. We came in on a rainy afternoon & it wasn't very busy. I could tell most of the people present that day were members. Turns out they were. We were still treated with excellent service & even given a mini tour at no additional cost basically explaining the history of the location & the dream that made Briar Rose happen. The wine was very worthy of purchasing or becoming a member for the extra perks. They have a few food/appetizer options that can be purchased for additional cost if you'd like to snack while you taste. I couldn't give them a 5 star for a few reasons though. From what I could tell they have 3/4 unisex bathrooms. I think on a busy day that might be an issue for guest. There is also a resident cat that roams around freely which I have nothing against personally, but if you are allergic or afraid of cats this is not ideal. I regret not really getting photos while we were there :( I did see on there website that you can book a personally photo shoot here. That would be a great idea to do if you were having engagement photos or another milestone in life. I do plan on returning here again & if I have anything I feel worthy of noting. I'm so glad my cell phone tracks my location, I came across a reel on social media on Briar Rose Winery the night before and luckily I was still @ San Diego, I asked the wonderful hubby- my uber driver, if he can take me. Not knowing where Temecula is located, it sounds far to me. hehe. We squeezed this in as Briar Rose Winery has a closing time of 5 pm on a Saturday. It was already after 3, when we made the drive. It was a nice drive heading in to Temecula. It is located all the way in the hills but I am glad it is not windy and curvy. Driving on the highway to get to BR, I enjoyed the scenery, the super huge rocks in the mountains are huge and curious why it is white?. Parking is located in front of the huge lot, you will see an "Open" sign, enter through that sign, upon entering, you will see where the magic begins! Such a lovely place, like Deja Vu again, seeing all the reels and being there in real life. We were greeted by lovely hostess, Peggy. After we our seating for 2, We walked around to explore the premises, took tons of photos., feeling so grateful & so happy that I get to be here! They had an event going on and looks like a big party. This is for sure a very adorable place for the ladies/girlies to hang out! (My poor hubby!) No charcuterie board/food was available for purchase as they were sold out. I guess its wine for us, ( hard to drink w/out some bites) I did the wine tasting ( went with the Reds, 5 different tasting for $30.) The hubby took a few sips of the wine and he said he is already buzz. lol. That is not good because he is my Uber driver, haha. The wines are really good- very strong & smooth. The grand finale of the wine, was $135. bottle of cabarnet sauvignon- bourdeaux style! All Rose Briar wines are produced at here at their winery and only produced in small batches, only sold at Briar Rose, not available in stores. Here is a fun fact for all ya Disney fanatics, Briar Rose was built by a Disney Imagineer in the 1960s, Briar Rose is in reference to Sleeping Beauty. There are many pieces of Disneyland throughout the property. Go explore and check it out! They also have a boutique store of lovely floral/colorful dresses , like for a princess theme. Keep in mind that, Briar Rose Winery hours are Friday-Sunday from 12-5 pm. All in all, I had a great time and charming visit. This is such a lovely winery with truly exceptional wines! You can really feel the heart and history behind every bottle -- their grapes are family-grown and personally curated to create the perfect wine. I had the best time with Peggy and Dorian, who was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all my wine questions with passion and warmth. She even shared about her 46 years of friendship with Peggy and showed photos of how they process the grapes -- from offering prayers to the harvest to transforming them into wine. The winery has a quaint, mellow, and peaceful vibe, with about ten charming garden tables and larger ones for groups. My favorite wine was the Riesling -- absolutely divine! riar Rose Winery is pure magic! We booked a private picnic for eight girls, and it was such a dream experience. You get to choose your own meats and cheeses, and the spread also includes fresh bread, a delicious hummus, and a flavored cream cheese that was amazing. The owner was overwhelmingly kind and made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The whole setting felt so magical -- surrounded by fairytale charm and unique Disney touches. We even learned some fun facts about the Disney Imagineer who helped create the winery, which made it all the more special. I found out about this winery on Tik Tok! It had such a whimsical, magical, and beautiful floral imagery. It looks like fairies and other fairytale creatures could live here. I had to check it out! I booked an appointment for a Sunday at around 1 on their website ahead of time. There were plenty of slots available beforehand. I was running a bit late and their is a notice on the email to let them know if you are running behind. I called and an AI voice recognition answered. I explained that I would be late and their AI was more than capable to understand and respond. We walked towards the entrance, which was hidden by some hedges. The host noticed us and we checked in. She let us know that we were free to sit anywhere and she would attend to us shortly after go explain our experience. There is plenty of seating, and there were groups of people, either of 2 or more. There were tables, benches, and chairs all around the area, that match the aesthetic. There also is a boutique to shop! Very girly and feminine. There is a separate area with arches and a little stage. It looks like it could be for a wedding ceremony. I assume you can host events here. This area is off limits. There was plenty of people, but not so much that it was packed. We sat in a shaded area. The host came over and handed us the wine menus and explained the history of the winery and how our experience would work. We took a look at the menus. For food, they have the typical food pairings that go with wine, like a charcuterie board and fairy dust and glitter. We didn't get a food. I decided on the red wine tasting. Our host was very gracious, friendly, and upbeat. She explained each of the histories with each wine we had. The winery feels calm, peaceful, and radiants positivity. Nice place for pictures! This was our first and favorite winery of the day. Obviously the draw of the place is that the house/winery itself is based of Snow Whites Cottage. It does feel like a bit of a fairytale when you are here. I made a reservation for an early time slot on Friday but it wasn't crowded at all. I can imagine it does get quite packed on the weekends however. I went with the mixed tasting and I have to say I enjoyed the Pinot Grigio the most when I'm not typically a white wine person. Such a magical and whimsy winery! They have a lot of outdoor seating options for tastings that overlook their beautiful manor. They do add a lot of decor to match their enchanting theme, from apples in trees, Snow White Merch, to frog wine, their details are endless. You do have to make a reservation ahead of time in order to have a tasting, which I would recommend anyways because they are constantly busy, especially on beautiful sunny days. Our server was incredibly attentive and kind. She was on it. As soon as our glasses emptied, she was already there with our next round for each of our tastings. We couldn't ask for more! For the tasting itself, I quite enjoyed it! They offer a white, red, and mixed tasting. I love a bit of both so a mixed tasting is always perfect for me. I was quite delighted with their mixed tasting as it included two white, one rosé, and two red tastings. My personal favorite was their rosé. I'm quite picky when it comes to rosé as I don't like it too dry or too sweet. They have a perfect balance between the two with a gentle crisp. While I enjoyed each glass in my tasting, I did favor their reds more than their whites. The bottles of each wine are also beautiful and a great keepsake from the winery. If you are a Disney and a wine fan, you must come here! The outside of this winery looks like the Snow White and the seven dwarfs house! The original owner was a Disney Imagineer who did work at Disney. It is no longer owned by him but still looks so cute! It was hot the day we went, and it was the first Thursday that they were ever open on a Thursday, so he wasn't ready to sit us inside, but all the tables outside were ready to roll, but it was 103° so we asked to please sit inside, and Lincoln was so accommodating and got it all set up for us so that we could sit in inside in the AC! Thank God! He was also really good at telling us all about the wines and the winery and was always ready for our next pour as three out of four of us did the wine sampling. We were excited to try the charcuterie, but he said delivery comes on Fridays and he did not have any, which is not his fault, but he' let me grab some snacks from my car to bring in. It was just a little Chex mix I bought somewhere else, but I needed something with the food. This is such a fun place to go to and we basically had the place to ourselves! After being seated, we waited over 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us--not even a glass of water or a "we'll be right with you." We made a reservation for the afternoon.. " we were told that you don't really need to have a reservation, they will take you. They've got plenty of seating beautiful little tables dotted throughout the property." Fairy dog, friendly, lots of full-grown trees for shade and lots of umbrellas. Today is Saturday October 4, 2025 and we had a 3pm reservations. We ran a tad bit late, and were informed there was a wedding a needed to leave by 5pm. When we showed up, no one really explained anything to us when all of our party was together and seated. We waited about 15 minutes for our server to come just to take our order. We ordered waters, waters never came. One of our friends had to get up and ask Then again 10 minutes later another friend went to go ask. Around 3:57pm our waitress came back and during her serving waters, she spilled waters on our friend. It was an accident, but the management should be a little more mindful to have more staff to help with the load of the work. We were looking forward to coming here after months of planning and it was just a let down and super upsetting. Please reconsider coming here. read more

It was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. We came to celebrate my friends birthday and she loves Snow White. Seating is outdoors and the weather was perfect! There are many wine options to choose from and you are able to do wine tasting! It's $30/person and there are 5 different wines to try. Cool thing about this spot is that you can bring your own food and snacks!!! It is 21+ so it's more of a laid back winery and chill vibes which our group enjoyed. Our waiter was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the different types of wines. She also told us that are bits and pieces of Disney magic there! Our group spent an idyllic afternoon at Briar Rose Winery under the shade of one of the largest and oldest olive trees in southern CA. We sipped wine and some of the guys tried a bottle of Talking Frog, a bubbly wine lager. I opted for the mixed wine tasting ($28), swapping out the 2017 Estate Barbera for the Talking Frog. I liked all the wines tasted except the Estate Viognier which was way too sweet for my palate. The Barbera was my fav. Owner Dorian Linkogle was so welcoming and regaled us with stories of the history of this family-owned and operated boutique winery. The fairy tale estate includes a life-size replica of Snow White's cottage built by original owner and early Disney Imagineer, Beldon Fields for his wife in the 1970s.   Les and Dorian Linkogle bought the property in the 1990s (with the promise not to change the architecture of the cottages until after Beldon's death) and opened the winery in 2006. The winery was named Briar Rose, after the princess in the original story of Sleeping Beauty. The grounds are dotted with little tables under large trees offering plenty of beautiful, dappled shade.   Beautiful location, friendly staff. They are only open Friday-Sunday 12-5pm and although they tell you reservations are a must, the owner indicated you can just show up. They offer charcuterie boxes and crackers which our group found overpriced with not much to them, but note that they do allow you to bring outside food in to enjoy with your wine. read more

This was the place that I planned our trip around! I had to see this beautiful place in person, and it didn't disappoint. First, it's a little hard to locate, being off the main wine trail and in a more residential area. It's definitely worth the little bit of extra navigating you might need to do. And then, pulling into the parking lot it is a little less "wow" than you might expect, but don't worry, walking through the hedge archway takes you into a whole other world. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. Truly a fairytale hideaway. There are roses, and gnomes, shady trees and a lush lawn, and of course, the "Snow White" cottage. There is an assortment of tables placed around the grounds so you can find the perfect spot for your afternoon. We were welcomed as we walked in and introduced to the grounds and the tasting menu. You could choose whites, reds, or mixed from their pre-set menu. The hostess (yet again, I cannot remember names to save my life) brought our first tasting to our table, describing them perfectly. Thereafter, she came by the table with each new taste, again giving excellent descriptions of each. She was so friendly and knowledgeable, obviously very passionate and happy in what she was doing. She went from serving three tables to at least eight tables in the time we were there, handling it all most joyfully. The wines were very good. We did end up taking some home. The Talking Frog bubbly was interesting. I'm still trying to decide if I liked it, or how much I liked it. It was almost more of a cider than a sparkling wine, but rather than the usual crisp apple flavor it had a warmer, honey like feel. I did bring home a bottle so I could try it again. Be warned, this is a place you will want to linger in. A place to sip your wine, soak up the shade under enormous trees, view the vineyards around you, stop and smell the roses. This isn't a quick tasting before moving on to the next. It is a fairy tale land to get lost in. read more

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I came here for my bachelorette party, and from the moment we arrived, I felt so celebrated by the staff! They went out of their way to make sure I, as the bride, was well taken care of. Our waitress provided an excellent experience, making the day even more special. The only minor downsides were the long wait times for refills and the charcuterie board, which was underwhelming in both presentation and quality--nothing particularly special. They did accommodate my reservation, but with a wedding happening at the same time, service was understandably a bit slower. I imagine on a less busy day, the experience would have been even better. A gorgeous winery in Temecula. It was built by a former Disney artisan as a life size replica of Snow White's Cottage. I was there with a few girlfriends for a Galentine's event in February and the staff treated us all like royalty. Multiple generations of family members stopped by to make sure we were having a good time and the table was adorably decorated for the occasion. We all liked the Pinot Grigio and the Merlot. I went to this winery this past weekend. The winery was so pretty, quiet and quaint. That is the only thing I loved about the winery. We were greeted by Peggy; she was very sweet and accommodating to the party size we had. She gave us the menu's and told us the server would be right with us. We waited a little bit, then she came over and took our order. Everyone ordered pretty much the same thing. I asked if they had champagne or sparking rose and the waitress said no, so that was a bummer for me. It took awhile for the waitress to bring out everyone's first drink, and let me tell ya; those pour sizes were so small, they definitely did not get their money worth for the amount of wine they all received. My friend had to ask for the white wine to be cold, because lets face it, on a hot day in Temecula; white wine sounds amazing. But why isn't the wine being served cold in the first place? The dress shop the had was cute, but all the clothing was very expensive. Some of the girls from my group tried going in the other part of the "house/tasting room" and they were asked to get out and that they are only allowed on the side where the dress shop is at. The winery boasts about the cottage theme and history of the winery, we should be able to walk around it we would like to see the entire winery. Towards the end of the tasting we had to ask Peggy to get our waitress because we had waited quite some time for the last pour, they were not busy at all so the wait should not have been that long. I don't think we will go back. It was nice to experience the scenery, but the wine wasn't that good and the pours were so small, it was not worth $33 per person read more

It is small and they have outdoor seating and your pay to try their wine and there are several to choose from. Sadly, the wine is not great. It is nice and some I bet love it. We did not. It was acidly and the Rose was just bad. But it was nice and the area is super cute. The service was also not great. It was fine, but they seemed to act as though we should thank them for coming not the other way around. I found that off putting, but it is not like they were rude. They were just there and showed up when they wanted and left us waiting. The area around there is lovely and it is a super nice drive. read more
