This place has some fabulous red wines. Stated to be the number one winery in Temecula, they have the wines to prove it. Gino was our host, and a pleasure to meet. We quite enjoyed the Barbera, Cab and the Merlot. Wines are on the pricey side $70-90 a bottle. Don't let that sway going for a tasting though. It was well worth the visit. read more

Loved it here. Very laid back, quiet, and personable here. Stark contrast to the pinky up or instagramable vibes of others in the area. The set up is all outdoors with plenty of seating, some covered by a large tent. The serving station is small, perfect for chats w Kat & crew, and the owner Dave if he pops down to feel things out. He was nice enough to open a random bottle for the day and give out some bonus pours to guests. I enjoyed all their wines, even the granache blanc despite not being a fan of whites. Wow. Vindemia is a must-do if you want high quality wines in a wonderful, friendly, low-key environment with beautiful views (which today, in addition to the vineyard and rolling hills of Temecula, included snow-capped mountains in the distance). We loved every wine they served. Having spent a lot of time in Napa and Sonoma and been members at many of the higher end wine clubs up there, we would put the Vindemia wines in the same league. Leo was the perfect host - fun to talk to and a font of knowledge and insight. And we had the wonderful good fortune of getting to meet David Bradley, the founder, owner and winemaker. He is without a doubt one of the most interesting, provocative, good hearted, intelligent, friendly, funny, visionary, down to earth people we've ever met. Very grateful for the time he spent with us. And he was so wonderful with my 94 old mother. Truly memorable experience - we will be back soon. Thank you! read more

The definition of comfortable and down to Earth Space: only outdoor seating and I love it. Wjy come to a beautiful vineyard to stay in a bricked off room. Shaded seats via umbrella but I understand if it's a hot day (it was comfortable at 75f). Beautiful seating makes you feel like you're sitting in the garden, and a great overlook over the vineyard. Service: So friendly and chill. Nothing against the more "polished" locations, but casual clothed, friendly, knowledgeable and personable is great. Wines: Delish, unique wines. Everything was abovr average with a few standouts (Cab and Cabernet Franc). We were lucky to come on a day that they had a special tasting menu. A little more on the pricey end ($30 tasting and $16 pours) for Temecula but if you're looking for a great hidden gem, definitely a standout. read more

The misses and I had a great time this past Thursday 9/15/22. The location is really nice, beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. Another key point is that there's no tour busses or even limos! There's a time and place for that, I've done the limo thing, but there's also a time for some respite. Our wine host was Jozie..this girl was FABULOUS! We had such a great time talking about so many things. She told us she was new to the place but we could tell she was really into the experience and effortlessly handled other guests (we were there for a bit) as the morning passed. Oh, wine! I really like the Cabernet Sauvignon enough that I ordered a full glass after the tasting (or two). The Cowbell was also quite tasty. The layout was nice as well. The tasting bar is outside and they have a large covered patio area with tables and chairs you can sit at and take in the views. Last but not least is the chalkboard art piece. Vindemia is a rough diamond - just like one you can find in a diamond focused national park. But this one is in Temecula, CA and the prize is Napa worthy wines. This is not a Disney meets wine experience, and I was positively surprised by the low key environment based on my almond flavored past with Temecula. But we care primarily about finding great wines. The picnic area does a lovely view of vines and right now snowcapped mountains in the distance. Full disclosure, we are more regular visitors to the Central Coast and Napa & Sonoma. This was our first visit to Temecula in perhaps 15+ years. No question, just the first wine on the tasting menu - the Grenache Blanc, at $64 retail made me think WTF in Temecula, but it is absolutely priced appropriately - amazing. Net, I would love to drink this subtle white wine glass ensconced bit of pleasure every single day. Each next tasting was equally as (to our outdated experience), perfect. We were lucky to catch the owner David coming back from running one of his epic balloon trips. He's as layered and fascinating as his wines. As I shared with David, he has single handedly redeemed this AVA for us. Picking a favorite is hard here. Don't miss 2016 Cab - Cellar worthy; 2019 Republic, (not sure I can keep it any longer); 2019 Loneliness, Guy Lemon (Grenache Blanc), 2018 More Cowbell. . . Okay, loved them all. Vindemia isn't like the nearby mega-wineries, so come knowing that the tasting area is small & outdoors. If you're good with the simple setup, then you definitely need to stop by for a glass of their Cabernet Franc. This was the best wine I tasted all day. Service is friendly and kind of quirky. We went on a cold Christmas Eve day. The wine tasting area was outside! And they have this set-up for the past 6 years. Luckily it wasn't raining when we went. While the wines are good, the $25 wine tasting price for 5 tasting was a bit much. The point of driving all the way to Temecula is to enjoy the wine and the ambience. Drinking wine and freezing my arse is not my cup of tea. For the price of their wines...averaging $60, which is already higher than most other Temecula wineries, One would think, they could afford something better than porta potties for their restroom. read more

Living about an hour outside of the Napa/Sonoma region, I have a lot of wine club memberships in that region - Alpha Omega, Louis Martini, Mumm, as well as some you may not have heard of. When I was in the area, I decided I definitely needed to try this region. We did the bigger vineyards like Callaway & Miramonte (not recommended - beautiful estates and mediocre wine). I am so glad we found Vindemia. The reviews about the set up aren't wrong - this is not the place to use as a $30 backdrop for your insta and God forbid, you might want to wear wedges instead of stiletto heels, and you're right, there's a porta-potty for your convenience but haven't you guys used those before while at music festivals? The wine is great, the owner is fun, passionate, and humorously self-deprecating calling himself a "hack" at winemaking. I can't say I agree with the hack bit but it's refreshing to see such a down to earth perspective. I am so glad we joined this vineyard and we look forward to their shipments and visiting them again. read more

Great place to picnic in good weather. Very relaxing nice view. However this place is not handicap accessible. The wine was very good a little pricey. There is no indoor area. The wine tasting is in a outdoor tent. Service was good but only one person working. Ladies don't dress up it's a picnic place. read more

We departed from here to go on a hot air balloon ride and the team and service was A+. The owner has a lot of experience flying hot air balloons and made our flight one of a kind. At the end of the flight we tasted an exquisite champagne. We will never forget this day! read more

Haven't been here in more than 5 years according to my last review. I like it when we get our pours the people pouring talk to us about other wineries and the good things about the other places. Don't talk to me about how this is the best winery and charge $35 for 5 small pours. (It was $20 for 5 only 5 years ago) We go to a lot of wineries and these aren't any more special than the rest. I get that it is by taste but don't knock down everyone else. It's a cute atmosphere and I enjoyed the quiet. Not sure how it would be with hotter weather however being completely outside. Wine Tasting in Temecula and want to be off the beaten path? Vindemia should be right up your alley. It's small and has a fraction of the crowd as some of the other vineyards in the area. That certainly doesn't mean they're sacrificing any sort of quality. It's just a much better kept secret. They have 2 outdoor tasting areas with a super quaint patio seating area and a pretty killer view of the grape fields as far as the eye can see. Both our palate and funny bone loved their red blend called the More Cowbell. Every time I took a sip, I couldn't stop thinking of the Blue Oyster Cult song and that Will Farrell SNL skit. Of the couple of options we visited on our last Temecula tour, this places service was by far the most welcoming. We'll definitely be back for more scenery, sips, and of course cowbell. :-) read more

This seems to have been a highly rated winery and to have a very romantic setting. NO WAY! Wine tasting was $33 for 5 very small tastings that they split into two for us. It would have been okay if the wine was good but to me it was terrible. Worse this is NOT a great outdoor seating area and is very make shift with a huge tent and giant fan. Limited seating and NO misters makes this very hot and unpleasant. Not worth it to me. read more

Shocked to see a $30 tasting fee, highest that I know in Temecula. For that price you get mediocre wine, an out house for bathroom, even outside of Covid you are always outside under a tent. No air conditioning in summer, no warmth in winter. The view however is beautiful. read more

This is a fairly young winery with pretty good wines. I enjoyed most of the reds that I tried. The outdoor tasting room means that you may want to plan your visit for the spring or fall. Misters help fight the heat, but the current setup isn't really conducive to lingering. Bathroom is limited to a porta-pottie, albeit a clean one. I believe that times are changing, but the $15 (weekend?) tasting fee was the most that I had ever paid anywhere, and the stingy tastes didn't help. I guess that this is the price of being close to major population centers, and helps keep the crowds down, right? read more

Another new winery in Temecula, yay! This one is pretty far off the beaten path, and we lucked out by finding it. The tasting room is in a temporary tent. The server told us they will be putting a building in place of the tent at some point. He also said this was only their 10th weekend open. The price was $10 for 7 tastes, you do not get to keep the glass. My expectations were not very high, but I actually liked all of the wines, except the Syrah's (see tasting menu pic). I ended up buying a bottle of Viognier and Grenache. I thought the prices of the wines were kind of steep, considering they are still new and not established yet. I will definitely come back here again, maybe in a couple months once they have been open a bit longer. read more

This place doesn't leave a great first impression - dirt road entrance and parking in the dirt, porta-potty restrooms out front, the tasting bar is a little rustic hut. But once you get seated and start tasting the wines it shows it's good side. I had just come from Wilson Creek winery which is the complete opposite of this place, flashy and crowded with bad wines. There were very few others there when we showed up on a Thursday, and we mostly got the outdoors tent to ourselves. The view over the small valley is pretty nice, and this area gets more of a breeze than others. The wines were great, better than any others I've tasted in Temecula (we also tried a Europa Village tasting earlier that day, which was really bad). Ended up buying two bottles and walked away happy. I guess the one thing I'd say is don't expect much in the way of service (you have to go to the bar yourself after each wine to get the next one, and they didn't come with tasting notes). But that felt fine for this winery's style, a bit rough around the edges. read more

We went on a Monday, so it was nice and quiet and nearly had the place to ourselves. We got a sampling, and sat back to enjoy our afternoon. We had the pleasure of David Bradley's company who is the owner of the establishment. He had a deep and wide knowledge of his craft, and entertained our questions with an easy sincerity, mixing in quite a few interesting yarns of his own. The afternoon flew by, we sampled "More Cow Bell" at his insistence and picked up the Pinot Noir which had a profile I couldn't shake. The setting was simple, but comfortable, the company fantastic, but the wines... Sooo much better than what we had sampled earlier in the day from competing wineries around the corner. A lot of what we had gotten earlier had been sugary garbage. This was the only stop we did that day that seemed to serve adult beverages. $33 for 5 pours may seem steep to some, but we're honestly a bit more in the more is less camp. $12 all you can drink cool-aid from the surrounding places had definitely put us off to Temecula wines, Vindemia re-established our hope for the region. read more

So if you read most of the reviews you will see they are about the setting, the ambience, the grounds but there's little comment about the actual wine. Yes, the winery stands out from the others, and it is a stark contrast to the high end, large format, wineries that line the streets of Temecula. The setting is cute, with a nice view. The staff are friendly and somewhat knowledgeable of the wines they serve but, the wines? The wines were simply not enjoyable. The balance way off, the indecision between tannins,fruit and acid played havoc on the palette. The price point is straight out ridiculous. The tasting fees could be well spent anywhere else. Vindemia, I wanted to like you and your kick back old school McMinnville style but your wines, well, they just need some work. read more

We had this cute, laid-back, and peaceful outdoor tasting venue to ourselves. We enjoyed the option of selecting our choice of 5 tastings (@ $15) off their menu. Being offered complimentary bread and olive oil was a nice touch (however, we weren't offered cheese, as another Yelper reported). Aside from the visible chewing gum in her mouth, the person assisting us was very calm, sweet, and pleasant, offering many suggestions on their various wines (we took home the 2006 South Coast Commonwealth, $40), as well as appreciated information on surrounding wineries, and referrals to local dining establishments. What a wonderful setting, it really reminded me of drinking wine in Italy. Relaxed scattered seating areas with in the vines and gardens. The tasting at $35.00 was a bit steep, but once you tasted the wine it was worth it. I joined the wine club and am looking forward to coming back to relax over a glass of wine with a picnic lunch. I went last Saturday (October 23rd) with my partner and a friend. Vindemia was our first stop of the day and all of our favorite spot! We highly recommend! It was a wonderful experience. Staff was warm and friendly. Chill environment. Not a scene. Rustin setting. Great for photos. We had a sauvignon blanc and the three of us loved the wine! 5 out of 5!
