Not impressed. The wine tasting room is very industrial feeling, like you're drinking wine inside of a Costco. The counters where you drink wine are on wheels, which gives it even more of an industrial feel . The building itself is not that pretty. It looks like an old airplane hanger. The fixtures inside, such as the lighting, were a bit cheap looking. The furniture inside was comfortable. The wine tasting room has no restrooms inside. The building was filled with flies that kept landing on our heads. The grounds are very nice, with nice views, comfortable outside furniture, and equipped with misters and heaters. The employees were friendly. The food offerings when we were there were very minimal. The crowd was overwhelmingly in their 20's, which if representative is fine, but also telling in terms of the appeal of the wines here to more experienced palates. Speaking of which, we did not really care for any of the reds that we tasted. We did not taste a single wine that we would be interested in buying. They lacked body, balance, and complexity. I should add that the wine tasting room is also the barrel room, yet it was at room temperature. Red wine barrels are supposed to be stored at 55 - 60F, not room temp. All other wineries manage this temperature requirement vigorously. This is most certainly affecting the taste of the final product. I know this place has good reviews, but it just doesn't seem to be up to the standard of some of the nicer wineries in Temecula. read more

We've been members here for about a year, and we absolutely love this place! The wine selection is fantastic, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and every server is amazing. It truly feels like a home away from home and has become one of our favorite places to spend time. One of our favorite things to do is listen to the live music. One standout band we've had the pleasure of seeing is JH Factor, a group of incredibly talented young jazz musicians who are truly amazing. Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. Beautiful scenery. Great customer service. We had fun tasting our wine at the bar area, and also the outside terrace. I like how they had wine and beer to pick from for their tastings. They even had a coffee cart outside. Some of the wines were pretty good, although the cost of a single bottle was a little more than what I wanted to spend that day. The ambiance is great! It's very dog friendly inside and out. The outside has two levels of tables with nice views. The indoor tasting room is large with some tables. There's food which you can order from a window and pick up which is pretty good. It's mostly pizzas, salads and sandwiches. The wine tasting was just okay, or maybe I didn't make good selections. This was the last stop on our 3 winery Grapevine tour and the most contemporary. Place was lively and had the best wine out of the three wineries that Grapevine took us on. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, we enjoyed the views. Akash Winery was the very first stop on my birthday weekend getaway with my husband, and it completely set the tone for an amazing trip! My husband and I haven't done much wine tasting together before, so this was a really special experience for us. Our initial host, Spencer, was fantastic. He explained to us how the wine tasting experience there works and how Akash is a bit different from other wineries because they blend fun, entertainment vibe with being a true, family owned winery where most of the wine is made right in house. It's such a cool atmosphere! We were seated outside with Tyler as our server, who was also great. The property is beautiful and they focus a lot on dry wines, which we loved. We tried a little bit of everything my husband's favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc, and I completely fell in love with their Muscat. I'm more of a sweet wine kind of girl. I had to buy a bottle right on the spot. Highly recommend stopping by here if you want great wine and a really fun, welcoming environment! Please note on Saturday, there are no kids allowed and a guard checks your car at the parking lot. I got the chance to experience both Friday and Saturday and I have to say they both are my vibes. Beautiful property with plenty of parking and seating space. They do have a private seating area for their club members. You order inside and can sit anywhere. We shared a flight and sat on a table outside to enjoy the sunset. They had a few other guests and we noticed that they were setting up for a proposal during sunset. Overall favorite, Dreamville Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc. Not available as of this review, though such a bright and refreshing pour! A toast has to be made. The Dreamville Sauvignon Blanc is a staple for me! It's earthy and feels smooth to taste. You'll find yourself a repeat offender, so go for the bottle for the table - have some manners! For the rosé lovers, I'd say go for the Sparkling Rosé! It has notes of cranberry and I'm eyeing a couple of bottles for holiday cocktails. *wink* Fall/Winter Favorites: I go for the reds! The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot I enjoy, each with their own unique character. Though less peppery than I prefer, The Cab is still quite robust. The Merlot, atypical to those I've tried elsewhere, is bolder - a nice surprise to have more body to taste. The Dreamville Blend No. 67 takes the crown though. I've visited Akash Winery in Temecula several times over the past couple of years, and each visit has been a pleasant experience. The winery itself is beautiful, modern, and offers great views. It's spacious, and the open-air patio is relaxing. Their wine lineup is solid and consistent. I've enjoyed trying different flights on each visit, and their Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Dreamville Syrah are favorites for me. The staff is mostly (some more than others) friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to chat about the wines or offer recommendations. I appreciate that they also have beer, though some options aren't available for a taster since they're canned only. The beers are solid, as they're brewed at 8-bit Brewing. A great brewery in Murrieta! The only minor downside is that on weekends or during events, it can get quite busy. This sometimes means longer waits for tastings or limited seating in shaded areas, especially on hotter days. Akash Winery has live music on weekends, food trucks and pop-up dining, special wine release parties, seasonal celebrations, and occasional winemaker dinners with curated pairings. There is always something happening at Akash, which I certainly appreciate; however, I also value the opportunity to simply relax and enjoy a more tranquil atmosphere, especially with a glass of wine and the beautiful views. I came here for yoga in the vineyards on Mother's Day. I had never been to Akash before, but it was super easy to find and navigate our way to where the class was being held. The instructor was so nice and got us set up with mats. The weather was supposed to be super hot that day, but fortunately for us, there was some cloud cover for most of the class. It was a great class and perfect way to start Mother's Day. After the class, a glass of wine is also included so we went to the tasting room and ordered a glass of sparkling rose. It was great! The space is family friendly and offers the yoga classes a couple Saturday's and Sunday's a month. read more

I've tried this winery a few times and always had a good time with the short visit. This time I had an opportunity to enjoy a tasting with the assistant wine maker Roberto. He took us on a wild journey of the Akash wines. The wife and I really enjoyed his effort, expertise, his attention to detail and allowing us to enjoy all aspects of the winery. We stopped in here because it was one of the only breweries or wineries that was open past 5 PM because we drove in from Palm Springs and we were looking for a place to go. They had wine options and beer options because they also have a brewery a cute little gift shop and also some options for food . The day that we had, I think it was Tuesday and they had a taco truck which is awesome is very very good and the patio was really nice. I had great views. They also had live music and it was enjoyable to hang out on the patio for such a great night if you're not a wine person and you're a beer person this is the place to go or vice versa. I had the chance to visit Akash a few years ago and recently went again while on a wine tour. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next day on our own (haha). They have great wine (my favorite was the rose sparkling and estate Sauvignon blanc). They also have great beer if that's more your thing. They have a beautiful outdoor area that's dog friendly with views of their vineyard. I particularly enjoyed sitting outside, sipping on my wine, and eating the delicious pizza they offer on the patio. Oh also, they offer caviar tastings and caviar bumps if you just want a quick sample. I ended up purchasing several different caviars and putting it on my pizza ;) Everyone that helped us was so friendly, nice, and knowledgeable about the wines.
