Visiting wineries is a fun way to spend a Sunday in Temecula, yet the only down side is that the majority of wineries close at 5pm. The Peltzer, however, is open a bit later and usually till 7pm. I have a very nice time here. The two wines I tried here were very good. The service was friendly and welcoming. I happened to love the vibe and decor here a bit more as it was not all restaurant orientated. It felt more like a family friendly brewery where you can bring a board game and sip some wine and enjoy your time with friends. I would definitely come back to the Peltzer! read more

Peltzer is such a fun and welcoming spot in Temecula. There's a short walk up to the winery, but the property is so lovely that it feels like part of the experience. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of outdoor seating, charming décor, and even pigs and small activities such as "gem mining"--which adds to the relaxed, family‑friendly vibe. Inside, the tasting room is large, lively, and inviting. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely excited to share their wines with us. They also gave us great recommendations for other wineries to check out during our weekend, which we really appreciated. Peltzer doubles as a venue, and you can tell--there's always something happening. Concerts, weddings, events... it feels like a place that has something for everyone. We can't wait to come back and explore more because it truly feels like a winery you can enjoy in a dozen different ways. Comfy and cozy. The staff is friendly, the music is hip country, and the have wine and beer! One of the few wineries that branch out to include beer, and they have a good selection. The wine is typical Temecula style, light and easy, both g complex, but the vibes are high and it's lots closer than Napa!! They also have food trucks on property and music on an outdoor stage on occasion. All in all, one of our favorite spots in the valley. read more

This is one of the most recommended wineries from friends! We ended our Temecula trip here :) We got here around 5pm on a Saturday. It was BUSYYY, lots of families here. Very hard to find a seat inside and outside. They have a bunch of food trucks, but by the time we got there a lot of them were running out of food. Such a beautiful winery though, great view of the hills. These wines were much more bitter than the others we tried from neighboring wineries. We were able to find a counter inside to seat 15 of us. I went to meet a friend in the evening and she loves wine. I saw this winery is open pretty late. First thought was it's dark, I hope they have lots of lights, I don't want to wander in the dark. The signs to the winery was visible and the entire winery was well lit. They had a big ice skating rink, huge Christmas tree in the parking lot, and huge barn with a live band. Last night, your entire team left the premises leaving my wife and two other women trapped in your parking lot. An employee in a golf cart drove by them and made eye contact but didn't say anything to them that the gate was being locked and it was time to go. They were on their way out, but stopped to take a couple photos. That employee should have given them a heads up. There also should have been other employees to check the premises for any stragglers. These three women were trapped there in the near pitch black for over two hours before the police arrived to help them out. This is unacceptable. I understand that if someone leaves the property, and leaves their car behind, then they are S.O.L. until you open the next day, but THEY WERE STILL THERE. Please do better. read more

We took a quick trip to Temecula for a change of scenery and headed to Peltzer Winery because they have an ice rink--and it was SO much fun. They had a huge white tent set up, which was perfect since it was raining, and the kids looked absolutely adorable getting their skates on. They even had little skating pushers to help them, which was such a win. Inside, there was a food and wine stand--we tried both the white and red sangrias and wow, they were delicious, while the kids sipped on hot cocoa. They will wrap up the season on January 19th so hurry and take the trip out. & they will be doing "cheap skates" discounted sessions for the next 2 weeks Tuesday-thursday. Great atmosphere, great staff, great experience as usual. The food changes definitely was a surprise as I didn't know and don't come that often. The menu was very minimal and mostly sandwiches, or a hot dog and chips for $10 (cheapest thing on the menu). It would be nice to have small snack provisions, i.e., chips/salsa, nachos, pretzel bites, etc. Our couples and hubby/me decided to go to a local brewery (Bareknuckle) to have drinks and grab some food there for the remainder of the day/night. This is long, long overdue. Found this beauty of a winery on our first visit to Temecula after a super disappointing visit/awful experience at the highly rated Miramonte winery nearby. The large, open barn space is so welcoming and creative. We immediately felt so much at ease and not at all claustrophobic just walking in. Our wine tastings came paired with yummy bread samples from Great Harvest Bread Co., which went so amazingly well together! The merch here is great too! I still have and use their stemless wine glasses all the time, as well as regularly lounge in their super funny and still so soft "Sip Happens" shirt, both purchased during this visit. Went for the pumpkin patch and had a good time. $2 admission for the general patch area, and ticket purchase for all the other activities. Our kids did the pony ride and the train ride. I'd say the train ride is pretty short and probably not worth it. The petting zoo was fun. There was a food truck and the tasting room was open so we grabbed a "frozeezy" which was too sweet for my taste. It was either made with too much sugar to assist with the freezing or made out of a port wine or something sweeter like that. Well this was an experience! Our friends brought us here and it was more than expected for sure. I was just expecting a tame Winery. It was so much more! They had wine tastings but also beer which was great because the weather was hot and a cold beer was perfect in the late afternoon. While the main indoor wine tasting place was a bit crowded on a Saturday afternoon in late September, we were able to find a table for 6 of us. Right outside there were also tables to sit at and a stage where a band played music. There were also food trucks outside that enabled us to get some yummy food. After all this, there is a whole other section that is mainly for families with kids (there was a pumpkin patch, go cart tractors for kids to ride, gem panning and a petting zoo). We also got to watch pig races! This is a great place if parents want to drink but also have their children entertained. I'm sure this isn't a usual thing, but the only reason I'm taking a star away is because in the main indoor location one of the bathroom stalls was broken in the woman's restroom and the line was super long due to there only being one stall available (it took 40 minutes in line waiting to use the restroom; some females went in the men's bathroom but for such a big place, this should not have been happening) There are 3 porta potties outside but down further by the family/kid area, however, we were inside and didn't know that. read more

We were looking for somewhere that had live music and have been here a few times for the pumpkin patch and love it, so we gave it a try. It's February so the music was in the Crush House. The Crush House has high ceilings and concrete floors which amplifies all of the people having conversations to the point you can't hear the music. We ended up leaving after about 20 minutes.
