Came back to this winery and brought my parents this time, and it was such a lovely experience. We visited middle of the week, so it was nice and --no crowds at all. The vineyard views were beautiful, and the whole setting made it easy to slow down and just relax. It was one of those perfect California days with sunshine, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere. Definitely a great spot to unwind and enjoy a quiet, scenic outing.

If you're looking for a good quiet spot to have a nice glass of wine, then Callaway is the place to be. The weather was beautiful, sun shining and nice breeze. I had a tasting and my favorite glass was my final glass that was a mix of the late harvest and a white which turned out to be refreshing and sweet. I am NOT a wine person so apologies for not being more specific about what I was drinking lol! Staff was nice and pours came fast, definitely like this spot!

We were first time visitors on 3/25/26. Very much enjoyed the views and the wines. Our server Sierra was very friendly , knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommend! Oh, and we also were able to use a military discount! Kudos to Callaway for offering that!

This was a stop on our wine tour and they had a private barrel set up for tasting. The wine was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. The tasting room was very lively and busier than most of the other wineries we visited but the service was still fast and friendly.

Amanda C. was excellent. She was able to find and recommend a great wine for even our most newest wine drinkers. Thank you for taking the time explaining this new world to us!!!

Callaway was our first winery we stopped off at on our booked wine tour. Out of the three Callaway was the best! I think there are about 8 wine tickets, but you definitely don't need them all because ifykyk! Overall it was a great time for our group of 16, there is a big outside area. Their tasting room was welcoming and they had a large variety! They are dog friendly too! (dog didn't actually drink)!

This place was amazing! The wines were all great and the service was amazing! Erika was very knowledgeable and provided great customer service. Even though the winery was busy, she made time to make us feel special and welcomed. Because of her we will definitely come back!

I had such a magical time here with our big group . We were celebrating my friend's 40th Birthday. We enjoyed the hospitality here and the gorgeous vineyard . The wine was also very delicious.

Voted best tour of a winery in Temecula for a reasonAlso, one of the oldest wineries in the valley, it's nice to know it's also affiliated with Callaway golf as well. Definitely one of the wineries you need to visit in Temecula. The have a restaurant on site plus some snacks available on the shop. Plenty of outdoor seating for sunny day. It's nice and intimate here. Plus the sommeliers are knowledgeable and great!

My son got engaged in our beautiful hometown at Callaway Winery, and it truly couldn't have been a more perfect choice. After touring a few nearby wineries, Callaway stood out immediately. Gorgeous, welcoming, and exactly what we hoped for. Jen from the events team was amazing. She went above and beyond, made everything effortless, and treated this special day with so much care. The entire experience was unforgettable! Thank you, Callaway Winery and Jen, for making my son's engagement absolutely perfect!

Callaway Vineyard is proof that grapes live a better life than most of us. They get pampered in perfect rows, soaked in sunshine, and then transformed into wine that makes you forget about your boss, your bills, and the fact that you once thought boxed wine was fancy. The tasting room is gorgeous like, "I suddenly feel underdressed in my best Target outfit" gorgeous. Every sip had me convinced I was developing a sophisticated palate, though really I was just nodding like, "Yes, I totally taste the notes of... uh... fruit." And the views? Unreal. You could be sipping straight grape juice and still feel like royalty with those rolling vineyards around you. So if you're looking for a vineyard that'll make you feel classy while you secretly try to figure out how many glasses it takes before you start talking to the vines, then Callaway is your spot.

Ask the Community - Callaway Vineyard & Winery

Does the winery allow outside food?

Outside only. But their Meritage Restaurant is about 75 feet away and is excellent!

    Do they have WiFi available?

If you can't enjoy wine tasting without WiFi ......?? Well, I'm sure they do.

Is there RV parking @ location?

Yes, there is a space for busses to park so they must be able to accommodate!

    Is it busy in January?

No, not usually. It's pretty calm in comparison to summer and the fall season.

    Is it family friendly?

Although I was there on a girls trip, I did see other people with children. The restaurant is probably a little less family friendly but if you take your own picnic and hang out on the grass the kids with your wine, you would do great!

    Are dogs allowed?

Yes we are dog friendly, we also have an outdoor patio.

    What's the brunch situation?

Dear Ryan, We offer Sunday Brunch besides our regular menu. the Sunday Brunch includes a glass of bubbly or a glass of Mimosa, choice of Steak and Eggs, or Frittata, or… Read more

What is there to do in the surrounding area? I'm planning an anniversary.

Lots of smaller and bigger wineries, and some with cute attached inns/bed & breakfast. Some of them have live music on weekend nights. Old Town Temecula is great for strolling, restaurants and bars.

What the cost for wine tasting?

When I went in June it was 15

So many hidden fees on top of the race fee - $15/20 to park - extra $5 per person to pick up packet on race day - insurance--for them not you. And they're probably going to need it 2. Parking in a field advertised at 3/4 mile walk from the start. Nope. Actually closer to 1.5 miles - the walk to/from the parking lot overlaps the "race" course so if you want to get out of there the minute you finish (and you will), you will be obstructing many people trying to finish the route. 2. Quality of the course -enter the need for the organizer to have insurance. So treacherous. Long grass, rutted dirt roads, exposed roots, potholes mud etc. if this was advertised as a trail run I sure missed it. - course starts on a moderately steep downhill, which is also the same moderately steep uphill you'll get to finish on. The walkers and the runners were not adequately sorted at the beginning of the race despite the relatively lame attempt to sort people by pace. Walkers in waves designed for people running a sub six minute pace would stop abruptly in front of runners going down this hill. It was super dangerous. 3. Started over 15 minutes late. Not a super big deal but irritating after being directed show up early to make sure that everybody started on time. This is not an event for actual runners which is fine, but just know this going into it. Take it as a casual walk through a moderately treacherous dusty course. Start at the end of the pack and enjoy some quality wine. Better yet, save your cash, don't give these people your money and buy more wine!

When I checked the website for details, there was no additional information. The race was listed as starting at 10 AM, but the directions were unclear and there was no mention of additional fees. For starters, Parking ended up being $20. Packet pickup was also frustrating. There was an unexpected $5 fee to receive my shirt and bib, but their payment systems were not working, so many participants could not pay leading to slower and longer lines. Even the volunteers seemed confused about the fee, and some people were allowed through without being charged. After waiting in line, I found out the race actually started at noon, not 10 AM. Running at noon in April in Phoenix, where temperatures are at least 85°F, does not make sense and raises concerns about runner safety. Overall, the event was poorly organized and poorly communicated. I checked my junk mail to see if I had missed anything, but there was nothing there, and many other participants said the same, many did not receive an email in the main inbox or junk & didn't find adequate information on the website. What should have been a fun experience felt disorganized, frustrating, and a bit of a grift. I also spoke with several volunteers who said their experience was just as confusing. When I raised concerns with the person in charge, there was no acknowledgment or accountability. It is disappointing to pay $50 for an un-timed 5k race, plus $5 for packet pickup and $20 for parking, and receive such a subpar experience. I have never had a race like this before, and I hope the organizers improve their communication, logistics, and overall planning. If you're considering running this race, don't.

Highly recommend taking a tour with Sidecar tours!!…read more My husband had been looking at this activity for a long time. He had found it through Groupon. Riding a sidecar in the middle of Temecula while being dropped off at several wineries without having to drive sounded like a unique and fun activity. By the time he was able to purchase it, only the cocktail tour was available. While we usually prefer cocktails, we found out after the fact that those start at 4:00pm and only Mon-Thurs. It didn't sound too fun to drive an hour away on a weekday in traffic to begin and come home late, but we wanted to check it out. A few days before our event was going to take place, the business called me to inform me that they are no longer doing cocktail tours at this time and were trying to get it off Groupon until the businesses working with them were more cooperative with pricing. While I was not thrilled about the last minute change, I was relieved because a big storm was coming the next day (never fails) and it would have been canceled anyway. I also didn't know until after that you mainly ride through Old Town and would not get nearly the amount of sidecar riding. However, they offered to change it to the wine tour and were able to squeeze us in three days later on the weekend so it worked out perfectly. Weather was on our side this time. It was bright and sunny. Bryan, our tour guide and driver texted me the morning of and gave us instructions on where to meet, and the waiver to sign, and that he would also be our professional photographer this day. It turns out Bryan was juggling three parties that day and was constantly on the go moving each party to the next stop. He introduced himself and explained what we would be doing and which wineries we would be visiting. He took a few pictures in the beginning and his phone may as well have been a professional camera! We first started with a fun ride throughout parts of Temecula and through a vineyard (literally!) as well. We got on one main road and went very fast! He gave us a lot of facts about Temecula and the vineyards as we rode. Our first stop was at Chapin winery where we were provided with six tastings of our choosing. I loved every selection! The pizza they made there smelled amazing, but we were full from breakfast (another time for sure!) Bryan explained that if we did want to eat pizza, please order it right away so it had time to cook and be eaten before he came back. He left us to be to relax and enjoy our wine while he took the previous group he had dropped off to the second winery. He texted me when he was on his way back to us and so we could get ready and whatnot. Once he arrived, we hopped back into the sidecar and got an even longer tour of the city and areas and had a longer time to enjoy the next sidecar ride. We stopped by some of the nearby animals such as llamas and he told us facts about the trees in their yard and about them, followed by some facts of the mountains and nearby homes and stopped for those views. Next we were brought to Bella Vista winery and were provided a full bottle of wine! We sat and relaxed and had some more wine while enjoying the views. The party before us was brought back to the starting point. Bryan took some more pictures and we brought the remaining wine back with us. It ended up being a perfect, sunny, great weather day and the business was great the whole time. Bryan was an amazing tour guide and photographer and we highly recommend him. A number of our friends are already considering trying this tour out after hearing about it and seeing the pictures.

The individuals that were on the tour with me made it even more fun. Our tour guide and driver, Tony, was very knowledgable about the area, its history, and wine making. They texted me the night before and the day of the tour reminding about the pick date & time. I really appreciated that they offer transportation. Tony picked me up from the hotel, along with other individuals of the tour, and he also dropped us off at the end of the tour. The drive was really fun because Tony let us take over the aux. He's also very knowledgable about the area, so we learned a lot about Temecula's history and other wineries during the drive. At the end of the tour, Tony even gave us dinner recommendations based on our preferences. Thank you Tony! We visited three different wineries: Wilson Creek Winery, Cougar Vineyard & Winery, and Fazeli Cellars Winery. My favorite winery from the three was Wilson Creek Winery. We tasted 6 wines at Wilson Creek, 5 wines at Cougar, and 6 wines at Fazeli! We had a guided tour by "Motor City Mike" at Wilson Creek. He is an incredible teacher. He gave us a tour around the winery, educated us about viniculture and corks, and taught us about the Wilson's history. They also acknowledged my birthday by giving me a necklace with a cork on it. Such a sweet gesture. We did not have a guided tour at the other two wineries. Lunch was included. While booking on their website, you get to choose which sandwich you'd like. We ate lunch at the Cougar Vineyard & Winery. I chose the roast beef sandwich, and it comes with a side of salad and a brownie. The winery is absolutely beautiful and the views are breathtaking. The best part is that they're pet-friendly! They even have adoption opportunities, and you can meet the puppies! I completely forgot the names of the wine I tasted, but I thought the wine was okay. Our last stop was at Fazeli Cellars Winery. The structure and outdoor area is very nice. Service is very courteous, attentive, and knowledgable. I thought it was unique because their wine contains interesting ingredients, especially the sweet wines. A friend I met on the tour ordered a flat bread, and we shared it. The flat bread was delicious and paired well with the wine. Highly recommend Grapeline Wine Tours! This was an unforgettable birthday experience. My only critique is that I prefer a guided tour at each winery because I'd like to learn more about its history, their own wine, and their own techniques in wine making.
