Simply a splendid way to tour the Temecula wine country! Riding around in an open motorcycle sidecar, beautiful blue skies above with hawks and turkey vultures, wind whipping around to keep you cool and amazing vistas of hills, valleys and vineyards. My friend had a Groupon but missed pulling the trigger on an online reservation. Luckily she called the company and they were kind enough to get us scheduled in for that same day. My friend and I appreciated being given a choice as to which to focus on - wine or wine country. Our vote was a little more country.  The tour took us through grapevines where we sampled grapes at different stages of ripening.  We sipped some great wine and had a delicious Neapolitan pizza from Pizza Bina at Chapin Family Vineyards. Our guide Bryan was truly a professional - engaging, thoughtful, enthusiastic and a wealth of knowledge about not only the wineries but the history of the region.  He even took pro photos of our excellent adventure! read more

Highly recommend taking a tour with Sidecar tours!! My husband had been looking at this activity for a long time. He had found it through Groupon. Riding a sidecar in the middle of Temecula while being dropped off at several wineries without having to drive sounded like a unique and fun activity. By the time he was able to purchase it, only the cocktail tour was available. While we usually prefer cocktails, we found out after the fact that those start at 4:00pm and only Mon-Thurs. It didn't sound too fun to drive an hour away on a weekday in traffic to begin and come home late, but we wanted to check it out. A few days before our event was going to take place, the business called me to inform me that they are no longer doing cocktail tours at this time and were trying to get it off Groupon until the businesses working with them were more cooperative with pricing. While I was not thrilled about the last minute change, I was relieved because a big storm was coming the next day (never fails) and it would have been canceled anyway. I also didn't know until after that you mainly ride through Old Town and would not get nearly the amount of sidecar riding. However, they offered to change it to the wine tour and were able to squeeze us in three days later on the weekend so it worked out perfectly. Weather was on our side this time. It was bright and sunny. Bryan, our tour guide and driver texted me the morning of and gave us instructions on where to meet, and the waiver to sign, and that he would also be our professional photographer this day. It turns out Bryan was juggling three parties that day and was constantly on the go moving each party to the next stop. He introduced himself and explained what we would be doing and which wineries we would be visiting. He took a few pictures in the beginning and his phone may as well have been a professional camera! We first started with a fun ride throughout parts of Temecula and through a vineyard (literally!) as well. We got on one main road and went very fast! He gave us a lot of facts about Temecula and the vineyards as we rode. Our first stop was at Chapin winery where we were provided with six tastings of our choosing. I loved every selection! The pizza they made there smelled amazing, but we were full from breakfast (another time for sure!) Bryan explained that if we did want to eat pizza, please order it right away so it had time to cook and be eaten before he came back. He left us to be to relax and enjoy our wine while he took the previous group he had dropped off to the second winery. He texted me when he was on his way back to us and so we could get ready and whatnot. Once he arrived, we hopped back into the sidecar and got an even longer tour of the city and areas and had a longer time to enjoy the next sidecar ride. We stopped by some of the nearby animals such as llamas and he told us facts about the trees in their yard and about them, followed by some facts of the mountains and nearby homes and stopped for those views. Next we were brought to Bella Vista winery and were provided a full bottle of wine! We sat and relaxed and had some more wine while enjoying the views. The party before us was brought back to the starting point. Bryan took some more pictures and we brought the remaining wine back with us. It ended up being a perfect, sunny, great weather day and the business was great the whole time. Bryan was an amazing tour guide and photographer and we highly recommend him. We had an amazing day with Bryan, our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable about the geography, the local ecosystems, and history; he used this knowledge to give us a deep understanding of all the factors that go into wine making and the Temecula valley as a whole. We had a great time at the wineries but more so on the road. Listening to all of his knowledge about the area was worth the trip. We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a bit more adventure than just standing around a wine tasting. We will absolutely be bringing back family and friends on this tour. Our guide was also able to recommend dinner spots in old town and, just as important, where not eat. I bought a voucher from Groupon in December in hopes that I can take my wife on a unique experience for our anniversary. I was very hopeful when I saw this business because it was local, it was original, and it had good reviews. Since December, this experience has been an absolute nightmare. When I try to reserve for my anniversary, I was met with minimal responses via email, and multiple outreach to the phone number provided with zero ability to leave a voicemail and zero callbacks since December. When the business disappointed me by not reserving things for my wife and I in December, I revisited the conversation in April before my voucher expired. I tried to get things reserved again and the inbox that was responding to me failed me multiple times. They offered a refund for my voucher because they never reserved me and I accepted their offer, but they stopped responding altogether. I don't know if this is a real business, and I don't know if any of these five star reviews are real, but I have had a horrible experience and I can't get somebody to help me over the phone, via email, or even through social media. When I didn't get any responses, I reached out on Instagram and hopes that somebody would at least see my message and respond. Unfortunately, they've been extremely consistent and consistently dark. I'm going to take the time to post this review and my screenshots on every review platform until I can get my money back. As much as I know, my wife would've loved the experience, even if they offered to give me a comp session, I would not take advantage because I can't rely on them following through. My wife and I booked a Sidecar Tour at their San Luis Obispo location for Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. We arrived early at Central Coast Brewing, only to find two covered motorcycles--and no drivers. After four unanswered calls, I finally reached a representative named Macie at 1:43 p.m., who confirmed that no drivers were scheduled and that our reservation didn't exist. The tour was officially canceled shortly after. We paid $430 through Travelocity on March 8. Despite providing extensive documentation--including call logs, Uber receipts, a time-stamped photo, and a chat transcript--neither Sidecar Tours nor Travelocity has issued a refund. Both companies have deflected responsibility, and Sidecar Tours has failed to return multiple calls and emails. I eventually filed a dispute with Discover, who contacted Travelocity--the booking agent--on my behalf. Travelocity refused to issue a refund, claiming they couldn't confirm the cancellation because Sidecar Tours wasn't responding to them either. This was a complete breakdown in service, communication, and accountability. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. read more

But we managed to contact them in the end and got ourselves connected with Bryan. (Just book through their site) Bryan Bryan Bryan... You magician of a tour guide. He said he likes to challenge his guests, wagering that if they don't learn anything new on his tour, he'd pay for their tour. YOU DON'T GOTTA DO THAT, BRYAN!! THEY PAID FOR IT. YOU BEING A GREAT GUIDE IS ENOUGH! Never have I met a tour guide so flexible, so mindful of every micro experience of their tour. With the candor of a relative and the knowledge of a sage, Bryan proved unexpected. Was he a tour guide? Was he an encyclopedia?? It was hard to tell after our second tasting. But he showed us more than we expected and for that, I'm up with my wife at 4:54 am sipping on the wine he got us. I bought the wine tour for two about a year ago but I didn't end up using it then. Fast forward to February of 2023, and it's my partner and my anniversary. We scheduled the tour which was pretty simple via phone. They booked us for 10am instead of 1pm. I didn't realize this until afterwards. I didn't call back to switch it. Just was hoping it wasn't too cold! The whole experience was 100% percent worth it!!! Hunter was our guide and he took us to two different wineries. We went to Somerset winery and Bella vista winery. Bella vista has arguably the best views in Temecula (you can see big bear mountain from here, snow capped and everything!) Somerset has a lovey causal ambiance which is my favorite and a lovely fireplace to sit by on chillier days. The whole experience was absolutely worth it and so unique! I'd highly recommend that you try it out. The tour gives you neat information about Temecula and it's history of wine and the ride from winery to winery is lovely. We spent about 45 minutes at each winery which was plenty! read more

Called them, no one answered the phone Found their company on groupon, bought the deal (close to $500!!!). Made an inquiry on their website, no response. Tried calling again, nothing. Direct messaged on IG, finally a response! They said someone would be in touch, nothing. Messaged them again, MACIE finally replied via text. She confirmed our date, and I even got a confirmation email! 2 days before our 'confirmed' date, Macie texts me that the bikes are to be maintenanced that very same day! obviously, im upset. This was the highlight for our trip and our main reason for going to Temecula to celebrate this special, 50th bday. She promises me a full refund. IT NEVER COMES. I contact groupon, they refuse to refund since the company has already eaten the money. I paid for a service, which was never received. The rhythm of the wind sweeping over the vines, the steady howl of the wheels ripping through the burly terrain... suddenly we were defying the laws of mass and energy. Unleashed and free, this was a machine that could whisk away every trouble, if only for a little while. Pure adrenaline was pounding through my veins, and my face was frozen in a smiling position, but I didn't care. I had a sense of euphoria and liberation I had never felt before. Was it romantic? Well a lot of guys can GO GAY for a minute with the right amount of alcohol and adventure and Glee episodes in their watch-history. But not this guy. I would call it a "manly" type of romantic... MORE "OT-superbowl-victory" and LESS the "rainbow / unicorn / glitter-bomb" kind. Definitely a unique experience and way to tour the beautiful wineries of Temecula. You get to visit two wineries - the first wineries offers 6 tastings per person, the second winery offers a full bottle of your choosing and for an extra $40 you can have another tasting at the sky lounge. Because My tolerance level is low, I was already feeling it by the first tasting, and riding in an open vehicle at 45 mph while buzzed felt liberating in the least! The only disappointment we had was that we assumed we could keep the bottle you get at the 2nd location (since you can drink it all then and there if anything), so we only took a small sip of it each and stored it in the back seat after the tasting, but when the tour was over, we didn't get it back (not sure if the drive took it or forgot to give it back?). Other than that, it was a relaxing drive, and the driver provided interesting facts and took pictures for us throughout the trip. Would want try this again at other locations too! read more

The company is a scam and refuses to refund us for a tour they canceled. Avoid them at all costs. I booked for a tour in SLO in 2023 and the day before they text me and said the tour was canceled and that we would get a refund. However, since then, I have tried to contact them countless times over the past year (see photos for texts and I have placed many more calls) and have gotten no response and no refund. At this point it is clear they are intentionally withholding my refund with the hopes that I will forget. This has happened to multiple other user on both Yelp and TripAdvisor. Luckily for me, their HQ is local to me so I will be filing a small claims suit against the company to recover the amount they stole. read more

I'd like to start by saying I would hands down give the drivers and our wine tasting experience 5 stars. All drivers were absolutely incredible. Great personalities, fun to hang with, overall good guys! The wine tour- amazing! However, with the customer service I received over the last few months, AS WELL as the day of, I can not possibly recommend this company to anyone else. And it's only right for me to share my experience with others. This really saddens me, because I used this company in January of this year, with just one other friend (needing only one bike) and fell in love with the experience so much, that we just returned with 16 girls. That's right- I had SIXTEEN girls on a wine tour this last week. And we are a FUN BUNCH, let me tell ya!!! Also very low maintenance. (All I ask for is communication). I originally had 12 girls, but as of about 2 months ago, it increased. Little by little. I COULD NOT for the life of me get a hold of a human being to update my reservation. I called and called and left message after message. I finally found a different phone number, simply by reviewing the photos from our first wine tour- the number on the bike we rode- I finally got a promising voicemail recording at least. After about a week of trying to get a hold of someone, we finally got Macy. I now had Macy's direct phone number and was able to text her. She was so helpful in the beginning. She helped with our Groupon purchase and I really felt good about our communication at the time. But she made quite a few empty promises. She mentioned she would send over a list of wineries we could possibly choose from- never happened. In fact we ended up doing the exact tour I did earlier this year (which is fine, but would have been fun to have the option to have a new experience). She also confirmed we had 8 bikes earlier in the week. Anyways- here we are about 5 days prior to our tour and I'm texting and calling and texting and calling. No response. (See photos). I was very clear that I wanted 2 people per bike, for everyone to be in a side car. I needed 8 bikes for the 16 of us. She confirmed that that's what they had down. Day of: they pull up with SIX BIKES. I call immediately. Nothing. She texts that she's on the other line. (Never tried calling me). Not even to this day. I immediately mentioned that we only have six bikes, when I asked for 8. Macy: "to my knowledge they were prepared for you. Not sure what had happened on their end. I had noted that you didn't want to 3up (3 people one bike) I hope you guys have a great time regardless. " That was the last I heard from her until I contacted her today about still being upset and wanting an explanation. She placed blame on someone else (not sure who) "on their end"???? With absolutely zero options to fix the problem or even a follow up to see how our tour turned out. Today we texted back and forth, until she just didn't respond anymore. Due to having less bikes, we had two girls that needed to ride behind a driver. Which sadly resulted in one of my friends burning her leg on an exhaust. (See photo). This is honestly such an incredible experience, being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery with great company of your friends... And with great tour guides. We continued to make the best of it, as we do. But I am just so disappointed with the lack of empathy and customer service for a group my size. I would expect them to really want to make it special for us, to be sure we shared our photos and videos and experience in a positive light. I wish I could speak highly of every bit of this experience, but sadly I can not. I just needed to inform people before they go and spend a pretty penny on this tour just to have communication issues and frustration all throughout. read more

Me and my cousin found this little adventure on Groupon and it was such a fun time! We were paired with Jose "Goose" and he was the perfect guide for us. He was friendly, fun and thorough with everything he informed us with. He arrived a little late due to a delay with the group ahead of us, but he reassured us that we wouldn't lose any of our time. The wineries that we visited were all so cute and nice, expect for the last one (which is also where we started, but it our last tasting...I will review each winery separately) Overall the tour is super cute for a little girls day out or a couples date. The sidecar itself felt safe and secure and helmets/goggles are provided. There are different kinds of tastings, full bottle and traditional glasses...both were great.
