Met up for lunch for a belated birthday lunch celebration for our brother. It was our first time meeting up for the New Year (January), and birthday boy chose Mongol House. It was a little hard to find the restaurant, especially since the sign is not right over the entrance, but just next to it where the small market is. Look for the Winchester Center sign next to the market. Since we arrived before it opened on a Sunday, we browsed in the market until it was tine to eat. We had a reservation for 6 of us, so they seated us at the one round table near the front. There is another longer table next to it on the left side where there's a colorful mural. The rest of the tables are booths. The restaurant is spacious and roomy and very clean. You can order items from the menu or build your own hot pot which is AYCE. Everyone in our party chose the hot pot. We were each brought a small blue pot that contained the sterno to heat up the soup and the broth of our choice inside. We also placed our meat order with our server. We went to the back-left corner to grab our veggies, and some other things to add to our hot pot. Our server came by often to take more meat orders, clear empty plates, and check if we needed more broth or if our sterno needed more fuel. Our server was delightfully cheerful and friendly. She was helpful and answered all of our questions, especially when we had to choose our broths. (Forgive me for forgetting your name!) I highly recommend calling ahead to make a reservation if you have a larger party. Accessibility notes: most of the tables are padded booths. If you can transfer and slide, you should be okay. Otherwise, see if you can sit at a table that has chairs on the left side. The restaurant is spacious enough to park your mobility aid (or stroller for babies) near you. The restrooms are located in the back-left corner, 2 single stall restrooms, one for men and one for women. There is enough room for someone to enter with their mobility aid and a helper companion. You can enter the restaurant without climbing a step, but I don't recall where the handicap accessible parking was since we used a regular parking space and I climbed up the curb. No one from the family is local, but my brother-in-law chose this restaurant because it's somewhere where we can meet in the middle. We are so used to Japanese Shabu Shabu but we would have to drive close to an hour away to get it so we thought that we'd give Mongol House a try. Although different types of hotpot taste, it was so good. Meats were thinly sliced and didn't feel overwhelming. We went with the Signature Bone Broth (non-spicy and mild) and it was delicious and flavorful. And the sauces were perfect, they also had ponzu too so if we wanted a different taste for the sauce we were still able to get our Shabu/HotPot Fix!!!! If you do the all you can eat, You also get to pick your own drink and ice cream. David our waiter was super fast and very nice. Actually everyone that worked here that we spoke to was super nice! It was my first time here and we had a party of 8. 7 of us decided to get the all you can eat hot pot, while our mom got the beef noodles (refills available). The hotpot came with two options for soup: tomatoes or beef bone. You get to choose the spice level and choices of protein. The best part is the venerable bar that they have with endless options. There's a sauce bar and a seafood bar for you to choose from, too. They also have taro sesame balls or gyoza. Of course, that doesn't end with that! They also have self serve ice cream. All of this comes along with the all you can eat part of the menu. Beverages are also included from their fridge. The food was quick and great! It's a hot pot spot, and honestly, I'm usually not the biggest hot pot fan, but it was a cold, rainy night, so hot soup sounded perfect and it absolutely hit the spot. The restaurant is bright and clean. Service was friendly and more on the efficient side rather than overly chatty, which worked well for the pace of the meal. When you arrive, you pick your soup base and spice level, and then choose your proteins which are unlimited. Next, you head to the salad and side bar, which has tons of goodies including veggies, seafood add ins, noodles, tofu, and more. There's also a section with fried snacks like egg rolls and potstickers. My favorite part was the sauce station where you can mix your own dipping sauce. It was fun and made the experience feel even more personalized. The food itself was delicious and very fresh. There were lots of great choices, and everything was simple but extremely tasty. They refilled our soup a few times throughout the night, and we appreciated the attentiveness. We all ate so well, and the flavors were comforting and satisfying. A hidden Mom & Pop, family run gem in Temecula! We ater dinner here recently (Myself, wife and youngest son). They were getting busy around the time we arrived on 1730 on a Saturday night. Luckily we were able to be seated right away, because soon after we started, there was a growing waiting list to be seated. After our meat selections were ordered by a very personable gentleman, we walked up to a very clean and neatly organized area thyta offered your veggies, sauce station and seafood proteins. While the selection here was not as extensive at some of the other AYCE Hot Pot restaurants we have eaten at, what was offered here was fresh, clean, and appetizing to look at. The same for their sauce station. They have the basics, that if you get creative enough, you can make yourself a really decent tasting dipping sauce. Their chili oil was really hot, which I really liked! The sliced beef that we ordered (several rounds) were sliced thinly which made for fast cooking in your own individual broth pot. The meat that we we all chose was fresh tasty, with more meat than fat and gristle like one can get in some other AYCE Hot Pot places. The servers here all are very friendly, patient with answering any questions posed to them and attentive to refilling our broth pots when needed and checking to see if we were ready for another round of meat. The beverage selection included your mainstream sodas as well as Arizona Teas in several flavors, which for one flat price, is unlimited. Justb help yourself to the cooler adjacent to the complimentary ice cream (which when we went was tubs from Thrifty's). We are very lucky to have a such a reasonably priced AYCE Hot Pot close to us that offers fresh, quality ingredients for making your own hot pot. One note, the hot pots they use require canned sterno type product to heat your individual hot pots, so there is a lingering smell of the burning fire gel in the restaurant. They do try to keep the restaurant ventilated, but if you have respiratory issues or or sensitive to odors, you may want to be cognizant of this. They were very accommodating for my picky niece and offered so many different options. My watered was filled all the time so I appreciated that. The quality of the meats were good. My family ordered every meat on the menu. I'm not a fan of lamb so I didn't try that one, but I thought everything else was good. They only have two flavors of broth - spicy (mala) and non spicy. If there were other flavors, it would definitely kick it up a notch. The place was clean and they can accommodate large parties. Hot new restaurant in town!! I was intrigued by this place that serves beef noodle soup and rou jia mo (IYKYK). Mongol House is located beside Best Wei Chinese Market on Jefferson. There's plenty of parking, so no worries there. The menu is super simple: Beef Noodle Soup Rou Jia Mo Pork Over Rice House Special Ocer Rice AYCE Hot Pot. I had to try their specialty which was the beef noodle soup and rou jia mo. The soup was good. I was expecting to smell sichuan peppers, but being that this restaurant is Mongolian, it didn't have it. However, the soup was still delicious, served w tender beef and tendon and yummy noodles! I added chili oil to spice it up, and the chili oil was fire!! It gave the soup a hint of spice. The rou jia mo was good, i really like the flatbread it came in and the jalapenos in it. The meat was flavored with cumin seeds and other spices. Service was great!! My server kept coming back to check on me and she was very friendly and helpful. As a Taiwanese-American who LOVES (more like an unhealthy obsession actually) hot pot, I was thoroughly pleased with this AYCE restaurant's offerings. For $33, I ate to my heart's content of their high quality, thinly sliced beef, as well as vegetables (ex. Napa, bokchoy, black fungus, lotus root, corn) and other sides (ex. quail egg, tofu of 3 types, ramen/vermicelli). There were plenty of other items too, such as beef balls, and various fish balls. The sauce station was also comprehensive, and had in my opinion all of the necessary ingredients to prepare a proper shabu dip. All of these items at the self-serve bar were fresh, nicely presented, and clean. Shout out also to the wait staff, who were attentive and very welcoming! Store isn't too big maybe 40 people capacity. Meats were sliced way thinner than I'm used to but I kinda like it that way since it cooked real fast. The vibes in the restaurant was bare minimum to be considered a restaurant. Based on the other reviews I've seen for this place it might be a 4 or 5 star for this area but once you have amazing hot pot this place is a legit 2 star. read more

We found this amazing hidden gem when we driving around Temecula. It's rare to find a hot pot place up here but this newly opened Chinese hot pot place is amazing. When you walk in you can sit and enjoy the smell of amazing food. They have a wide range of meats that you pick ahead of time, while you go get your sauces and your extras such as fish, noodles, and veggies. The restaurant is very clean and the bathrooms are taken care of as well. The food is great. Most AYCE Hot Pot restaurants want to skimp you on the meat. Not here, They serve the meat stacked 6-7 levels high and are adamant about asking you if you want another round. The drinks are served in cans (Coke, Sprite, and assorted Arizona Teas) but those are also unlimited. That's rare in these kinds of restaurants. They also have self serve Thrifty ice cream with multiple flavors. The beef noodles and burgers are also very tasty. All of you should come check them out ASAP.
