It was almost noon so we were lucky enough to catch their lunch specials for $12.99 Each entree comes with a soup ( sour or egg drop) and an appetizer (wonton with cream cheese, chicken wing or egg roll) And rice or noodles or half of each. I have to say, we got a lot of food, for that $12.99 and everything came steaming hot and fresh. I don't know of anyplace similar to this. It's definitely Chinese. I came here with my mom because we love Chef K in Temecula but this place just didn't hit. We got 2 plates and the food just tasted so sweet. Like they added several tablespoons of sugar in the sauces. We could barely finish our portion. The original location in Temecula is superior. The beef and broccoli sauce was too sweet. The fried rice was bland and tasted like MSG. The noodles was the "best" part but somewhat bland overall. The service was nice and the lady at the desk was sweet. This place is great to pick up food.The kitchen is mostly meant for pickups, like catering or just to go. But if you do have to sit there and eat, they have three or four tables, small little ones. I'm from the san Gabriel valley and miss my asian dominated neighborhood because of the food and culture, this is like a little spot for authentic chinese food for me in the 951. Warmly greeted as soon as we stepped in, very quick, attentive and friendly service. I love walking into establishments where you feel welcomed. We loved the Temecula location so much, we decided to try this express version for lunch and we were not disappointed. Their servings are extremely generous and they did not skimp on the meats with big servings of jumbo shrimp in the soft noodles and big chunks of bbq pork in the fried rice. My husband, myself and two of our children thoroughly enjoyed the food and we highly recommend this place! We wanted to give this place a try so we order chow mein, BBQ Pork, Fried Rice, and Kung Pao Chicken. All the food was terrible. They cook with way too much much sauce and oils. There was a lot of grease at the bottom of the pork and noodles were dark. We love good Chinese food and I do not recommend this place. Went here based on some Yelp reviews. The location is a good spot right of the freeway. Inside there are a few tables. You place your order on kiosk which I am all for but there is only one so if it gets busy I can see there being a line trying to place an order. With that being said, the food was great. I used to be loyal to their Chongqing Chicken (spicy, crispy, and addictive), but then I met their lo mein noodles.... and wow, game changer!! When we arrived, we were greeted right away by two employees who were busy packing pickup orders, which was nice to see. The egg foo young is delicious and one of my favorite Chinese dishes, every place does them differently their gravy is brown translucent type of gravy and not a thick southern style of gravy. All in all it is delicious and everything I've had from them has been delicious. Tangerine chicken had a wonderful flavor. With 2-3 of the dishes you can easily feed a family of 5. The family wanted Chinese food and we had seen that Chef K had opened nearby. We stopped in around 6:30 pm for dinner. When we entered it was apparent that they are focused mainly on takeout. There are 4 small tables inside. We looked at the menu and was surprised by the selection, almost any classic dish is served. When we ordered, I asked what appetizers were gluten free (my daughter is gluten intolerant) and the young lady taking orders said the could make almost everything gluten free by using corn starch. Awesome, we ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer, house special fried rice, Kung Pao tofu, walnut shrimp, wonton soup, General Tso's chicken, and Tangerine Crispy chicken. They split the large wonton soup into 4 bowls and put the wontons on the side. The soup was delicious with plenty of meat and vegetables and there were 10 wontons to share. The spicy shrimp were spicy and delicious. The Tangerine chicken was delicious and perfectly cooked, crispy without being overcooked. The General Tso chicken was the best I've had in decades. It was sweet, tangy and perfectly cooked. The fried rice was very good as was the Kung Pao tofu. The food here is absolutely delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked and very ample servings. Nice to find good Chinese food, cooked to order, fun to watch the chef at work. This food is not sitting in pans, it's all made fresh. The service is pleasant as well. It's really hard to find great Chinese food in the Temecula Valley. With that said, we have enjoyed the dishes at Chef K. They have some of our favorite dim sum dishes and a variety of Chinese ones that we truly love. I don't think we have had a bad dish here tbh, albeit I find that we tend to spend over $100 easily for the four of us with ample leftovers to share for another meal. We have only ordered to go but hopefully will dine in someday. The place looks really nice and old school elegant. Our food is always packed well and they have never messed up our order considering how many different dishes we do order. read more
