We were also given a plate of wontons and dip. Service was nice and food came out hot. My favorite dish was the snow peas with pork. The only issue was that some of the snow peas weren't properly prepped. Some of them still had the woody stalk at the end. The eggplant with tofu had a sweet and savory sauce. Came in for dinner, after having JUST called to make sure they were open for dining, they said "yes, we have tables".. we got there, after not being helped, we moved in to find someone who worked there, they said just sit down. We sat. Then had to get up/get our own menus. No one said hello, got drinks, nothing! We tried to stop someone to inquire, he was like "oh i have to deliver this silverware" and kept going, then they started helping people who came in AFTER us. Service was great, but the food was not good. Took a bite into my cream cheese rangoons and the cream cheese tasted and smelled pungent. When I spit it out and cracked open another, the cheese looked curdled and did not smell great. It was a strong sour smell. The general chicken had little to no flavor. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the egg drop soup and the "juicy dumplings," which I assumed would be xiaolongbao, along with a Coke. The restaurant was fairly busy, with lots of delivery drivers coming in and out and a steady flow of take-out orders, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the food just didn't meet my expectations. The egg drop soup was okay--I managed to eat about half--but the dumplings were a big disappointment. They were slimy, had an off-putting texture, and overall tasted gross. Staying nearby for work and needed my Chinese fix! Not expecting that I would have the BEST ORANGE CHICKEN IVE EVER HAD! It was unreal perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce! Highly recommend as I wasn't expecting it at all. The beef and broccoli with the egg drop soup was very good but the star of the show was the orange chicken. Tuesday, 12-24-2024: Our son was visiting from San Diego and we needed to do last minute shopping. I was grateful for his company since my hubby hates shopping. We were at Best Buy to get a Roblox gift card for my grandson when we realized we were famished. I knew Jade China was nearby and my son agreed to have a late lunch there since he's fond of Chinese food. When we arrived we were seated right away. We both opted for the Cashew Nut Chicken lunch special for only $10.75. It was served right away and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Their portions are generous so we both had to-go boxes. Kim the server with blonde hair is A SWEETHEART! I came in after leaving a couple places that I just wasn't really feeling the vibe when I was up in the mountains. Realized I haven't been to this place yet after I have been here in December and it was so busy. So was so excited to come here and it was incredibly accommodating and absolutely a beautiful experience. EVERYTHING was good even the egg rolls (I usually don't like them other places). These were really good I actually ate both of them normally I would've waited. The role was nice the flavor was nice the crispiness was nice. It wasn't overdone. I got the $39 family special so I can have lots of leftovers. A great deal! Everything was really good and they were so sweet I'm so happy I came back! The food was super fast as well! I think sometimes maybe people forget that this is a family owned restaurant and they need to be a little bit nicer with their expectations. Especially on holidays! The only thing I can agree with with one of the negative reviews is that the fried rice is not the traditional kind that you would normally get. There's not a bunch of vegetables in it or a lot of egg. It does have a nice flavor to it though so I do still prefer it over the white rice. it has a really nice texture as well. We ordered from Jade China to compare it to another Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. We ordered BBQ pork chow mein, salt and pepper prawns and teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken was delicious with plenty of tender chicken and a few pieces of broccoli, carrots and onions. The shrimp was fried perfectly with the right amount of spice. However, the chow mein was disappointing. It had sauce! All the years of eating chow mein, we never ever had it with any type of liquid and we would have preferred more noodles and the veggies were missing. Absolutely Amazing! Came in on Christmas Eve to pickup some last minute Chicken and rice, the place was packed with with a few employees (instead of spending Christmas at home) handling dozens of customers and door dashers. All with while keeping a smile on their face. The atmosphere, even while crowded, felt more welcoming than disorienting, and there was room to wait inside. I just walked out the door and I had to write a review before leaving the parking lot because I am a happy full bellied lady! Right away the kindest lady greeted us with the sweetest smile(: We sat and ordered the veggie egg rolls 10/10, egg drop soup 9/10 (the consistency was thicker than I've had but I'm assuming that meant it was more authentic but still so delicious), egg foo young 11/10 (first time ever having this dish and holy moly it's my new favorite!), and then the green beans dish 10/10 (such a wonderful taste and a nice soft but crunchy texture...couldn't keep my fork away!) It was my boyfriend's first time trying everything besides the egg rolls and even he was shocked with the size of the portions and the flavors. It looked like we hardly made a dent in the dishes but we left stuffed. I can't wait to snack on everything later tonight and tomorrow for lunch(: The kind lady boxed everything up for us and gave us our fortune cookies with a slice each of watermelon which was such a great palate cleanser. Their door dash system sucks really bad. They can't handle the orders coming in, and they always claim they didn't receive the order. This was strike three for us. We went searching on Yelp for a new Chinese restaurant and came across Jade China. Over six hundred plus reviews and averaging Four Stars. After coming here, we agree. The food was really good and the server tried very hard. Cleary there is a strong take-out/grub business, too. We started with some plum wine and some waters, as we looked over the Menu. We tried the deep fried Chicken Potstickers and found them very flavorful and tasty. Absolutely a great start. Next up was the Corn Egg Drop soup. Wow, even more flavor. The best we've had in a long time. For entrées, we went with Orange Chicken and the Spicy Shredded Pork. Now both were very good, but the pork was only mildly spicy. But it had character and lots and lots of ... flavor. Our bill came to $67.43 including taxes, but before gratuities... which seemed very fair. We really enjoyed coming Jade China and will be back. Our party of three went there the Saturday after Thanksgiving and were happy to be seated right away in their cozy, pleasantly decorated dining room. It was about 12:45, so we each ordered one of their lunch specials, offered daily. While several customers came in to pick up take-out orders during our meal, ours was the only occupied eat-in table, so we enjoyed the staff's personal attention.
