    54. General Chow's Chicken

Service was great, but the food was not good. Took a bite into my cream cheese rangoons and the cream cheese tasted and smelled pungent. When I spit it out and cracked open another, the cheese looked curdled and did not smell great. It was a strong sour smell. The general chicken had little to no flavor. There were two slices of carrots and two pieces of broccoli. I think the only thing that tasted good was the steamed rice.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the egg drop soup and the "juicy dumplings," which I assumed would be xiaolongbao, along with a Coke. The restaurant was fairly busy, with lots of delivery drivers coming in and out and a steady flow of take-out orders, so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, the food just didn't meet my expectations. The egg drop soup was okay--I managed to eat about half--but the dumplings were a big disappointment. They were slimy, had an off-putting texture, and overall tasted gross. I took just a few bites before deciding I couldn't finish them. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but sadly it just wasn't for me.

Staying nearby for work and needed my Chinese fix! Not expecting that I would have the BEST ORANGE CHICKEN IVE EVER HAD! It was unreal perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce! Highly recommend as I wasn't expecting it at all. The beef and broccoli with the egg drop soup was very good but the star of the show was the orange chicken. I was able to get all that in the pictures below for 19.99 during dinner. Well worth it and glad I happen to stop by! Highly recommend!

Tuesday, 12-24-2024: Our son was visiting from San Diego and we needed to do last minute shopping. I was grateful for his company since my hubby hates shopping. We were at Best Buy to get a Roblox gift card for my grandson when we realized we were famished. I knew Jade China was nearby and my son agreed to have a late lunch there since he's fond of Chinese food. When we arrived we were seated right away. We both opted for the Cashew Nut Chicken lunch special for only $10.75. It was served right away and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Their portions are generous so we both had to-go boxes. The service was friendly & efficient. The interior is bright, tidy and the booth was comfortable. I really enjoy the food here & love supporting small businesses.

Nestled in our town of Murrieta lies an authentic Chinese restaurant. clean, quiet, and fast service. started with an egg flour, soup, warm fresh and tasty. ordered the beef, chicken, and shrimp Kung pow plate delicious. Small restaurant but not very busy next to crumble cookie Incase you're looking for dessert.

We were in the area for a wedding and found this place on yelp. We had a wonderful experience, they were so kind and attentive. The food was great, we all really enjoyed it.

Kim the server with blonde hair is A SWEETHEART! I came in after leaving a couple places that I just wasn't really feeling the vibe when I was up in the mountains. Realized I haven't been to this place yet after I have been here in December and it was so busy. So was so excited to come here and it was incredibly accommodating and absolutely a beautiful experience. EVERYTHING was good even the egg rolls (I usually don't like them other places). These were really good I actually ate both of them normally I would've waited. The role was nice the flavor was nice the crispiness was nice. It wasn't overdone. I got the $39 family special so I can have lots of leftovers. A great deal! Everything was really good and they were so sweet I'm so happy I came back! The food was super fast as well! I think sometimes maybe people forget that this is a family owned restaurant and they need to be a little bit nicer with their expectations. Especially on holidays! The only thing I can agree with with one of the negative reviews is that the fried rice is not the traditional kind that you would normally get. There's not a bunch of vegetables in it or a lot of egg. It does have a nice flavor to it though so I do still prefer it over the white rice. it has a really nice texture as well. So that would be the only thing that I noticed other than that everything was great. I'm stuffed! I definitely recommend the lunch special or the dinner specials!

    BBQ pork chow mein
    Diego R.

We ordered from Jade China to compare it to another Chinese restaurant in our neighborhood. We ordered BBQ pork chow mein, salt and pepper prawns and teriyaki chicken. The teriyaki chicken was delicious with plenty of tender chicken and a few pieces of broccoli, carrots and onions. The shrimp was fried perfectly with the right amount of spice. However, the chow mein was disappointing. It had sauce! All the years of eating chow mein, we never ever had it with any type of liquid and we would have preferred more noodles and the veggies were missing. Our search continues to find the perfect Chinese restaurant.

Are there any dishes without sugar? For instance, do the curry already have sugar? It seems that Chinese use sugar even in chow mein.

Because of this I've never been able to share the gloriousness that is a full seafood boil, especially a good one like Pier 88. The headless peel n' eat shrimp and crawfish, the true backbone of any decent boil, were plump and delicious. I felt kind of giddy every time I would finish one and saw how many were left. The lobster tail was a good change-of-pace and the king crab legs, admittedly not my favorite item, still managed to satisfy. I also like how they threw in so much potatoes and sausage into the mix. It was definitely super generous at what other places consider an afterthought. I thought the service was alright. They seemed to have forgotten one of my party's margaritas but that could have been more a slow bartender than an inept server. I also never got a prompt to refill my soda, which is a little more concerning. The ambiance was pretty good. There were plenty of tables and booths, and everything was spaced appropriately. You definitely don't feel like you're on top of the tables around you. They also had plenty of TV's as the World Cup was easy to watch along with. I could be happy here any time I get the craving for some shrimp and crawfish. And as long as the servers were more diligent about refills. One time I'll figure out how to get Miss Scotch herself to one of these things, dirty hands be damned. I'd say getting your hands in the muck and mire of delicious foods is half the fun. And with places like Pier 88 out there, you could be having a fun time and a full belly every day of the week.

Tuesday our little 5 year old granddaughter had a promotion and chose this place to eat. She loves loves loves the ice cream there and so do we! Lin's has a Mongolian bbq set up with full on bar that includes everything from shrimp to steak and all the veggies you can imagine. This in itself would run you at least $15 or more at a Mongolian restaurant. There is also chef waiting to cook you up the perfect steak We all know that a good steak is at least $13 a pound and you have to cook it. LOL! The place is flawless! Clean. Friendly enough. Efficient. Professional. Affordable. Kids are charged by age. Adults are 13 and up. Seniors get somewhat of a discount. 4 adults and a 5 year old was $80 which included 1 coffee. There are soooooo many choices and a variety to please everyone. We love Lin's and the kids love it too. There's a room for larger parties that we used on 2 occasions. To insure proper service=TIP We sometimes forget to bring cash to buffets, but our Waiter was amazing and kept removing empty plates and refilling our drinks. They deserve compensation. Bring a few bucks for them. Tip them if they treat you right. As most of you know, this location on Murrieta Hot Springs Road + Alta Murrieta has gone through many names. Initially Golden Corral, then Murrieta Steak House, then El Patrone, and now Lin's. We hope this is here to stay as there isn't another place nearby as decent as this one. Support your local Lin's. They are worth keeping around. 5 STARS FOR THEM! I didn't take photos cause my phone is out of space! Sorry!
