One point off because the chicken tasted a little funky and had a lot of blood or veins. PRO TIP is to try dipping it with the sweet and sour sauce or chili oil for a more enhanced experience! STRING BEANS: 8/10 It was salty but, when I ate it together with the rice the saltiness got balanced... GENERAL TSO CHICKEN: 6/10 It's a HARD PASS for me! We have this to my mom because it was more like having Chick fil A nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. Not living up to the authenticity of the General Tso Chicken... Nice, clean, and beautiful restaurant tucked away in the plaza of CVS, planet fitness, and a bunch of other stores. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The menu is extensive! I came in because I was craving dumplings and I dont know of anywhere else in the temecula area that has them. I ended up ordering a few other dishes that I thoroughly enjoyed. They have an extensive chinese menu with everything you could think of or want. prices are reasonable and the food was ready quickly. This place has been on my husbands list for awhile. I'm not a big Chinese food fan usually, but I'd definitely come back here. The menu options are vast and so much sounded good! I really loved the salt and pepper wings. I'd like to try another type as a meal. The chicken we ordered was good too. I can't remember what it was called tho. The crispy beef was just okay. We didn't love the sauce on it. Everything came out hot and promptly. Service was on top of things. They brought us everything in a timely manner without being intrusive. They took away unused plates to keep the table clear. The ambience is great too. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was in there! The decor was cute. We liked it so much after our first visit three weeks ago, we've come back twice. The food is really very good. We've tried their pork, chicken, beef and tofu dishes and everything was well prepared and tasty. See photos. Since it's a family run business, everyone pitches in and the service is attentive. Someone is always asking how your food is, or if you need anything. Nice! The restaurant is reminiscent of the old style Asian places from years ago. But everything here is very modern and clean inside. Given our Menu jumping, we would recommend most anything on it. We really liked their Kung Pao, both the chicken and tofu versions; along with their shredded garlic pork. Yum Expect your entrée to run between $12.00 to $16.00 each. The food was alright. We first had cream cheese wontons. They were good but I like the dipping sauce to at least be warm & it was cold. We had ordered Beef Chow Fun & it needed more soy sauce. It was bland. Sweet & sour chicken it wasn't crispy at all. Garlic short ribs and it was more onion slices than meat. Not worth $20.00. I think only the stir fried green beans was good. The white rice it came with was terrible they used to much water when making it. The service was okay. She was all over the place. The ambiance was nice. We had three lunches The first meal came seven minutes before the other two, so we just sat there and watched him eat. The waiter and waitress both were so cranky, irritable and angry. I was scared to ask the waiter a question. I finally asked the waiter if I could have some chili paste for my Ramen and he didn't know what I was talking about and brought the wrong thing. I don't know what happened. This place used to be good. Now Everyone looks miserable. The food was very mediocre, not very much flavor. Yes Red Ginger, upon walking in we went in around 4 o clock and it wasn't busy at all. Seated right away about 3 other tables dining in here at that time on a Tuesday. The menu was extensive, very good lunch portion meals but we were too late for that. We opted for the dinner choice A which included Egg roll and paper wrapped chicken, and egg flower soup to start, we also ordered the pot stickers before hand and they were good. The also give you some crispy fried wonton noodles to have before your meal. We ended up choosing the sweet and sour pork and Kung Pao chicken... both were fantastic and the Kung Pao did have some heat to it. This place truly reminded us of a locals spot here in my hometown of El Segundo, called Canton Low. Very similar menu, and the dishes that came were almost identical in flavor. It was very basic but it worked, service was good our nice server she was great, the food was very good and reminded us of our favorite place, and the ambience was quiet and nice. Ended our Temecula vacation with a nice dinner and some leftovers. So if you're ever in the neighborhood and feel like some good Chinese food, look no further than Red Ginger. read more

We mostly order for delivery from Red Ginger and we have always really liked their food. The first time dining in was on Christmas Day. The restaurant medium sized, comfortable with booths and tables, not fancy. Service was very good! My favorite is the sizzling rice soup (loaded with veggies, pork, chicken, shrimp, and rice that sizzles when pouring the hot broth over it, yum!). We have had quite a few different things from their menu (chicken curry, General Chows chicken, Kung Pao combo noodle dish, beef broccoli) and everything is always good. Another favorite of mine is the sesame seed balls (chewy and sweet, served warm). It's a little far from where we live, thus why we always order for delivery. Went to Red Ginger for the first time yesterday. SO delish! I was a bit leery as I am on a low sodium, low fat diet. I ordered their wonton soup and teriyaki chicken lunch with sauce on the side for my son and I to share. They were busy with take out but still managed to give great service to those dining in house. Since I just moved to Temecula I wanted to try and find a decent Chinese place so I took my in laws and husband and tried this place. I am actually surprised how decent this place was. Coming from OC I wasn't expecting much from Temecula but this was actually good. The place is small and we got seated right away and the food we ordered was decent. Everything tasted great nothing bad. I would definitely recommend this place however, they didn't have one of my fav Chinese dishes but I think I will come again for sure if especially since they have coupons. read more

Pretty good! My friends who live in Temecula come to this place all the time for Chinese food. They say it is really good and frequent all the time. So being that they are locals we decided to order from Red Ginger Restaurant for one of our game nights. We ordered and the food delivered about an hour later. So not bad. Good thing we ordered ahead of time. I went with the tofu and veggies dish. I was torn between the tofu and veggies dish and the tofu/ eggplant entree. I think next time I would go with the eggplant entree instead. The tofu and veggies was fine, but it was a little bland/ boring. I probably wouldn't get it again. It was fresh and made well. But it was so boring for me, I think the eggplant dish might be a better fit for me next time. Everyone enjoyed their food though. The house definitely smelt good with the Chinese food.
