    Round 1

I made a RESERVATION on their website for a party of 4 for Sunday Brunch. My sis in law was visiting us for the first time. I can totally understand because she lives 2 hours away! So we decided to take her one of the best wineries in our opinion and brunch spot... SUNDAY BRUNCH: $61 per person. You can also get a discount with the winery club membership... I went for my usual FAVORITES!!! PRIME RIB: 9/10 cooked to a nice pink center. A bit chewy but, flavorful... SHRIMP & MUSSEL COCKTAIL: 7/10 made my stomach feel weird afterwards... GREEN SAUCE next to the PAELLA: STAR OF THE SHOW. It tasted great with everything including the veggies and prime rib... Salmon was overcooked! GRILLED VEGGIES: 9/10 My favorite but, I noticed that age ASPARAGUS were missing! So I asked a nice young lady and she brought me some from the back... Overall, my sis in law loved the food, ambiance and service. Our server was MARK! It was so busy but, he kept coming back to check on us... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOLERO RESTAURANTE!!!! BRAVO!!!!

I just had the best paella I've ever had here. It was flavorful, and you could taste the seafood flavors in every grain of rice. The seafood was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the New York steak, which was cooked perfectly and served with a delicious green sauce. The Brussels sprouts salad with goat cheese and cranberries were delicious as well. The restaurant is beautiful, and we had a lovely lunch on the patio, enjoying the gorgeous weather. The service was just okay, though. Our server never refilled our water glasses and took a long time to check on us toward the end of the meal. Although she was very sweet. We will come back to try their wine.

This is where I celebrated my birthday dinner in 2024! We had reservations, but decided to eat earlier since we were already in the area. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to get seated right away. We shared a charcuterie board to start with. For drinks, I chose the refrescante mocktail and he got the Paso Doble Margarita and also a glass of 2018 Bodegas Ego "Goru Gold." We also shared the ceviche and some bread with burrata! Everything was tasty and we were getting full before the main course. The paella took about 30 minutes to come out and had big pieces of steak and shrimp! We were too full to finish, but saved room for ice cream and dessert! He ordered the Vietnamese coffee ice cream and it was delicious and creamy! They use Mariposa ice cream, so you know it's good! For my birthday dessert, they brought out a little brownie and a scoop of ice cream with a candle on it. Overall, I had a pleasant time here. After we got the bill, we went outside to check out the guitarist and when we came back to get our leftover paella, they had cleared out table. We were kinda sad since there was a lot leftover. Oh well.

This review is based off their breakfast brunch! They offer it until 1PM. My girls and I went on the weekend and I believe the price is about $60 per person. They offer an omelette bar, meat stations, a raw bar with ahi tuna slices, salmon poke, shrimp, and mussels, and some other hot food items and salads. From the buffet I loved their braised beef, mash potatoes, and empanadas. I would refrain from getting the salmon poke, as it was extremely fishy. It was a standard breakfast buffet with few gourmet items being a hit or miss. Lots of times people were in and out of stations, so I didn't bother to flag someone down for an omelette. The desserts could be encased as well, as there were many flies on the cakes and pastries; I thought the overall experience was standard, though I think a dinner experience would be better here.

Tapas Tuesday are out on the patio and first come first serve for tables. You grab a table and a server will come help you. It was busy and the service was a bit slow, but the love music playing was amazing and filled the time. We tried all the food on the tapas Tuesday menu and the best thing was the steak. All the other dishes were decent. Be warned that their credit system populates suggested tip for 18+% based on the total including tax, which inflates the tip.

Bolero is a Spanish restaurant located inside Europa Village Wineries & Resort in Temecula Wine Country. Their menu is tapas-style so you order plates and share among your party. There's a section for the restaurant that includes both indoor and outdoor seating. There's also an adjacent building for their wine tasting which looked to have a ton of people. We were seated outside where we had a view of the vineyards. SALMON & AHI TUNA CRUDO ($25) - the sauce was refreshing and spicy. The chips that came with it were hard to scoop into the crudo so we had to use our spoons to eat. 4/5 EMPANADAS ($22) - there are both chicken and beef flavors. They were crispy and I preferred the chicken. 4/5 CROQUETAS ($15) - the croquettes themselves were decent with a crunchy outside and soft potatoes inside. I especially liked the short ribs underneath. 3.5/5 LINGUINI DE MARISCOS ($42) - this was definitely our favorite dish. The sauce was flavorful and I liked the big shrimp and scallops. The cheesy bread was also nice to dip into the sauce. 4.5/5 BOLERO PAELLA ($75) - they say it takes 45 minutes but for us it only took 30. I liked the beef, lobster, and shrimp on top but the rice was a little soggy. I would've liked more socarrat (the crispy layer on the bottom) because there really wasn't much at all. 3.5/5 For drinks we ordered the smoke & mirrors ($18) and isla rosada ($18) which were both good. We made reservations online ahead of time and I recommend you do the same. It was packed on Saturday evening and we overheard that it was about a 2 hour wait without a reservation.

TLDR Bolero Restaurant in Europa Village is a popular restaurant for many visitors myself included. Was here about this time last year and ordered many seafood dishes which were mostly overcooked :( This time I decided to give Bolero the benefit of the doubt and give them another chance to redeem themselves. Therefore, as to not repeat last year's fiasco, I decided to sit outside their patio, ordered glasses of chilled Rosé and other delectables from the menu to cool off the hot Temecula Valley day. The croquetas are one of their signature Spanish appetizers. Presented with micro greens and edible flowers topped where the potato balls and the shredded beef, which were delicious and kind of filling. The charred octopus salad was also presented appealingly with fresh ingredients of cherry tomatoes, red onions, avocado. Prior to ordering this I asked the server if the octopus was prepared so it's tender and not too chewy, he assured me the octopus was tender. After attempting to eat two pieces, I found the octopus to be very chewy and if I had to chew any more I would hurt myself and get locked jaw. Additionally, the octopus was too spicy for my liking, therefore I found the dish inedible and sent it back to the kitchen. The staffer/waiter who resembled the mustache cherubic male figures in Spanish Artist Fernando Botero, was nice and offered to either redo the octopus salad or select something else, I opted for the latter, and chose the ahi tuna and salmon Crudo. I specifically instructed the staffer to make sure no chilies as my mouth was still on fire. He said he would make sure no chili would be on the Crudo. The Crudo was presented nicely as well and the slices of chili peppers were placed on side dishes. Upon eating the Crudo my mouth felt more intense heat and as I inspect the Crudo I noticed specks of chili pepper flakes! I can usually handle hot chili, but not lately as I had detoxed for a week and my senses were heightened to the point that the heat from the chili peppers were literally burning my tongue OUCHIE!! I was furious because I told the waiter to make sure no chilis. I sent that Crudo dish back and ordered a Creme Brûlée so the dairy can help cool off the burning sensation in my mouth. Then appears the Head Chef Hany Ali, who introduced himself, apologized for all the mishap. When I rejected the first dish due to overwhelming chili and specifically asked for NO Chilies on subsequent dishes, the waiter didn't seem to understand, because No Chili means No Chili. Mr Ali was sincerely apologetic and he asked to sit and chat. Turns out, he was the head chef at Four Seasons Beverly Hills adjacent. So after learning I'm from Beverly Hills, he understood my demanding perfectionist point of view. I showed him last years review where both the main entree fish dishes were overcooked and the mashed potatoes lacked flavor. Mr Ali then ordered me a dish of mashed potatoes, which after tasting it was superb. He said to contact him before I dine here again and he would personally cook my food. A nice offer and gesture from a well educated (was educated in a culinary school in Switzerland) and over qualified to be a head cook here. The platano cremè brûlée was presented with a sliced caramelized banana; platano is banana in Spanish. A few spoonfuls of this did help relieve my burning mouth from the hot chilies. Do note, the crispy hard caramel shell on top was kind of missing and according to Mr Ali, because it's the Spanish version :/ Nonetheless, this dessert was not too sweet, delicious. If the dishes were prepared without the chili peppers, I would have enjoyed it. But for the lack of attention by the staffer to my specific instructions, those dishes were inedible for me. I appreciate that effort Mr Ali made to try to quell the situation with his professional demeanor, he alone deserves a 10!! Sadly, I was still hungry but not eager enough to stay and give this restaurant another chance, because this was their second chance and it was their faux pas. Perhaps your experience is better..

Had a reservation for 8 pax, we came a little bit early and had our table ready inside. Its weekend, there's a guy who's playing music in the corner, not too loud just enough that you will enjoy listening while others are busy talking to each other. Paella order took a while to prepare and were aware of that so we order as soon as we sat in our table, the male server is attentive, busy Saturday but he was able to serve us on time for drinks and food order. I like the way they prepare my espresso martini, we order a bottle of red wine ( Cabernet sauvignon) Paella was ok, Buratta salad same, the Brussel sprout stood out, so good.

Amazing experience at Bolero for it being our first time. We did have a reservation for a party of 11 celebrating a birthday. We did wait a bit but not so bad for it being a busy Saturday afternoon. Our server Marlene was amazing and attentive making sure everything was good. Food was amazing, we tried the paella the portion for 4 is pretty big. My favorite was the linguini de mariscos. I also really enjoyed the Caesar salad. Super light and it's wrapped on jicama paper definitely a must to try.

Finally got to use my wine membership at Europa Village and what better way than with dinner at the Bolero Restaurant. I made a reservation through OpenTable, which was quick and seamless. We arrived about 10 minutes early for our 7:45 PM reservation, checked in with the hostess, and were told we'd receive a text when our table was ready. Right on cue, at 7:48 PM, we got the notification. After checking back in, we were promptly escorted to our table. My first impression of the interior was a bit mixed. It's definitely a nice space, but the overall vibe felt slightly off. The layout seems like it would benefit from a more open concept the current flow makes it feel a bit informal. That said, the crowd is a blend of guests coming from tastings, hotel visitors, and locals just enjoying a night out, which might explain the atmosphere. Our server, Tina, took about 15-20 minutes to greet us and take our drink and appetizer orders. Once things got going, though, the experience improved significantly. The food was delicious definitely the highlight of the evening. We shared the empanadas and garnachas to start, both excellent. My in-laws ordered a dish with beans and sausage, while my partner and I went with the steak plate. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the chimichurri sauce really stood out. We paired dinner with a bottle of Tempranillo (my pick), which complemented the meal beautifully. As the evening wrapped up and closing time approached, we did feel a bit rushed to settle the bill. I mentioned my wine membership to Tina and provided my ID for verification. The check came back shortly after with the membership discount applied. Parking was easy there's plenty of open ground parking, so no hassle there. Overall, a great meal with a few service and ambiance hiccups, but definitely worth a visit.

I love living a couple of hours away from the beautiful wineries in Temecula. However, I must admit, it could be difficult to find a winery that offers quality wine AND food. Hence, when I saw the reviews for Bolero, I thought I MUST try it, and boy, was it worth it! Brunch was amazing. Paella, seafood, empanadas, all the different Latin dishes, the desserts and the wine! The wonderful service from our waitress Pam, was just the icing in the cake. If anyone wants to have a delicious meal, in a beautiful setting in Temecula wine country, you have to try Bolero.

This was my third visit here and it has been consistently great! The presentation on food itself is always beautiful and the flavor delicious. I was however disappointed with the Pastel de Chocolate. Although it was presented beautifully, it didn't have much stage presence as I thought it would. Our server checked on us frequently and our glasses of water filled. If there is one thing I could change with the restaurant, it would be the chair or table height. The tables are a little higher than usual and eating isn't at a comfortable position for me. I am petite so the table height is probably meant for average or tall height. It definitely isn't ergonomic in my opinion. My absolute favorite dish was the brussels sprouts. I wasn't expecting the sprouts petals (I should probably read the fine print), but was pleasantly surprised. The combination of Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, and the pomegranate jewels melting in your mouth, are just divine. I would come here again, but would make certain to find a better table.

We tried several different types of wines in order to get the tasting experience without the typical "flights". The food was amazing and we all agreed that the salads were absolutely the gems of this place. But all of our food was excellent. This will be on our top five wine bars list for sure!

But once you head downstairs, you will find a cozy dining area in the back with a cozy atmosphere. My friend and I chose the prix fixe menu with the restaurant's selected wine pairings, and it was an incredible experience. Gabriel, who took care of our table, explained every dish and wine pairing in detail, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. Every course was creative, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From the first bite to the final dessert, and every wine pairing in between, everything was outstanding. It was a memorable dining experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Temecula.

I recommend getting this since I like to have more savory items. For the tea, I chose the strawberry rhubarb. The afternoon tea comes with a three tiered pastry and tea sandwich tower. We got honey tea cake, mango yuzu cream puff, strawberries & chocolate shortbread cookie, savory herb scone, hokkaido cheese tart, assorted seasonal fruit, radish + herb cheese tea sandwich, curry chicken salad sandwich, egg salad tea sandwich and our choice of a large pot of tea. There were a few cute spots to take photos and some ladies even complimented me on my outfit! I also got a surprise birthday scoop of ice cream! It was definitely a great start of my day!

They're the best with rich, complimentary flavors in each dish! Our server was great! Very pleasant! I love the ambiance at this particular winery because the views are gorgeous! There are multiple seating areas - the main veranda, an extended seating area directly to the side of the main deck (veranda), and cabana seating (deposit required). The way the veranda is framed with greenery looking out at the hills is stunning. Miramonte is still one of my favorite places in Temecula Wine Country!

Tastings are $25 for six pours on weekdays and $30 on weekends, and you can choose any six wines from the list--including red or white sangria, which was unique. The setup is self-guided, so you can wander the property, sit wherever you'd like, and return to the tasting bar whenever you're ready for your next pour. Unfortunately, that's where the experience slowed down. There was only one person serving, and with about 10 people in line, every refill meant another long wait. As for the wines, they just didn't wow me (of course, that's purely my personal opinion). The standout was the Syrah. We also tried the cheesecake = Overall, the friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere were positives, but the long waits and average wines made the experience fall short of what I'd hoped for.
