Amazing place! I say amazing because as soon as my party and I walked in (group of 4), we were immediately greeted with kindness and welcoming hospitality by Mikey. We sat down straight after. Our server, Paul is even MORE amazing. We love him so much. Not only was he checking up on us and seeing if we needed more refills/orders. We weren't ever waiting more than 5 minutes for an order, it was brought out almost immediately when requested. Talking about Paul, we've had such a great time being under his care. He's the most down to Earth person you could ever meet. Food, is great! Meat selection is pretty good. We used to live in Orange County and it's a great new pick! It doesn't feel as greasy or fatty (in my opinion lol!) We mainly got the brisket and short rib. They also have great sides, even tortillas! Ambiance is pretty nice! They have a GREAT selection of alcohol. It's beautiful. My husband couldn't stop eyeing the Macallan 30. BEST PART - They give you a fan during your visit. I've been in too many kbbq spots where it's so stuffy and unbearable. But here, they give you a powerful fan and we were even seated near the entrance so it's more breathable. The food and service was good. We really weren't sure what to expect considering the reviews were some what mixed. That said, our biggest dislike was the ventilation. I don't have a place to compare it to, but it was hot and smokey. I understand we're cooking the meats at our table, but we felt like the AC should've been pumping. We showered before we got there and had to shower afterwards. Overall, not bad, but take into consdieration you will get hot and you'll smell "smokey" afterwards. read more

My family and I dined here for lunch on a Sunday. We were celebrating my mom's birthday and wanted to try this place out after seeing the positive reviews on Yelp. While our server was very kind, we noticed that the restaurant was understaffed and it was difficult at times to flag down our server. They only allow you to order one meat at a time, so the dining experience can feel slow and halted when you are waiting for the next meat to arrive. The short rib and bulgogi were our favorites, both well seasoned and juicy, followed by the brisket. I also felt that the side dishes were delicious (especially the fish cakes, Mac salad and spicy cucumber), but again, we had to wait to flag down our server for refills. We also were told that their chef was on leave, so we were unable to try the spicy tofu soup, which my family member was looking forward to. As others have shared, the ventilation could be improved upon since it gets quite smoky. All in all, the meat quality is delicious, and they have the potential of being even better if they improve on the ventilation and add more staff. read more

This place was pretty good, considering the area. I'm from the San Diego, where Convoy is the main staple for Korean barbecue. Went here on Christmas Day and there were about 4 other families enjoying Christmas dinner here, so it wasn't too busy or loud. Our server was super nice and attentive. The meat itself was okay. The brisket was thick and chewy. The pork belly was good and the short rib was the star of the show. Not sure if it's because it was Christmas, but the rice paper was pretty dry. The menu was simple but good quality meats, our kids only go for the brisket and bulgogi so this spot was perfect. The banchan was good, I would recommend not having to ask for kimchi as it's definitely a staple to the KBBQ experience. The service was good, the first time we went in it was pretty slow due to how busy it was, but yesterday there were a few tables occupied. Reasons for -2 stars: I will say the ventilation system wasn't as great as we are used to, both times we were there it was more smoky than what we're used to before getting our grill changed; but they provided us with a fan. As for the grill, we felt hot splatter on our legs towards the end and made it a bit uncomfortable to sit at the table. Also, there was wet paint along the inside of the booths but no sign, but were warned at the beginning. Unfortunately our son's shirt was ruined from the pain and got paint all over his arm even after trying to avoid it. Family first tried this place when our family friend had brought us for dinner. Me and hubby had tried a few Korean bbq places but were never really a fan until we came here. Staff is very friendly. The owner is awesome! Hubby enjoys speaking with the owner who is usually there everyday. The place is always clean and welcoming. Pricing is very reasonable and everything we have tasted so far is delicious. Sides are unlimited. The kids and hubby loved the steamed eggs. My favorite side are the radish and spicy cucumbers and potatoes. We always have a great time here, usually has the game on during the season too. Cups for sodas teas water etc are HUGE! lol.
