She was attentive without being overbearing all while she was training someone new. The food was decent. I wouldn't say anything special. I got the Mac and cheese with pulled pork. My husband got the tri tip sandwich with onion rings. Apparently the onion rings were $3 extra charge and there was only 7 on the plate. Not impressed. We also got a beer and a Michelada. My husband asked for more michelada mix because it looked like they only out a drop in there. The bill came out to $90 and I don't think the food was worth that much honestly. Ate at Steinerhaus on a Saturday evening and was not impressed. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Chicken sliders with baked beans. The sliders were decent but did not live up to the price in either taster or portion. The baked beans lacked flavor and seemed watered down. Speaking of watered down, the fountain drinks were definitely watered down... with some remnants of possible hops or some other type of aftertaste. The service was okay because the gentleman working seemed nice but he appeared to be the only waiter in the whole place and was definitely overwhelmed. The place was wide open and pretty much all outdoors so it's cool for a bar but not great for a dinner date. All of this gave me the impression Steinerhaus would be better suited as a bar serving bar food. If those are your expectations you'll probably be okay. If you're looking for a great bbq place to have a date night, this ain't it. read more

Went on a Sunday. Sat down at 12:15, server did not come talk to us until 12:30, she tried to just get drink order but we were ready to order after sitting there so long. Took until 12:40 to get our drinks, so 25 minutes just to get a draft beer. The food was decent, my husband and daughter got wings and really liked them. I tried the flatbread it was just okay. Turns out there was only one server even though 4 other people were running around. Nobody said anything about this until they delivered the drinks. Would have been a different experience if they told us from the work go that it would be a long wait as there is only one server to give us the option of going somewhere else. We went to Steinerhaus BBQ for lunch before going to the Temecula Children's Museum down the street. The lunch special on the sliders was incredibly reasonable and the pulled pork sliders and the tri trip sliders were both delicious. The seating and set up were both very kid friendly. Kids loved and Mac and cheese and it came in kid friendly plates with waters that had a lid and straw. The waitress was also very willing to put in the kids order ahead of the rest of the food. E kids had a blast playing with t the giant connect four game while husband and I finished eating. Definitely would recommend. read more

We visited 4th Street Garage on Saturday. It's great place to have a lunch or dinner. The food is so deleicous and is over my expectations. The Belly Tots ($18) was so yummy. The Rib Dipper ($17) is my favorte here, must order this. It's just so delicious, make me wanna order another one to go. The Tomahawk Rib ($38) was amazing! Just like their slogan "The biggest and best rib you'll never have!" :) Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($17) was great as well. The Grand Prix ($17) with Add Smoked Chicken ($6) was also great, the chicken was very tender. Everything that we ordered there are absolutely amazing! The beer was great too, very smooth! The servers are very friendly and attentive. And I also love the coutry song singer's performance, it's so pleasant and relaxing! Love the set up of this place! Like in the name, it's definitely a garage set up with some cool cars next to the drive way. The service was amazing, our server was friendly, communicative, and attentive. We tried the jalapeño app and it was pretty good! Definitely a lot of cheese, but flavorful. We were craving more of a burger instead of bbq so keep that in mind when scrolling through the yelp! Definitely want to come back when we're more in the mood for bbq and chicken sandwiches. After checking Yelp and the pictures of local BBQ joints, we chose this one because the onion rings looked bomb. Don't be fooled. The onion rings are salty Burnt garbage. I will say they give a good amount of meat for the platters. Meat was on the dry side and tri tip was sliced like a French dip sandwich. The beans were bomb but I think they were canned bushes bean but hey I like them so it's ok. Kids meal was a tray of Mac of cheese nothing else for $8 pretty sure I saw a side of Mac n cheese for cheaper. First time and will repeat. We've been wanting to try the place but have just been too busy. Today was the day though! Every good experience starts with being greeted by smiling faces and we got that straight away. We started with the fried pickle spears because pickles! They were great. Beef Rib Dipper sandwich with Cole Slaw as the side. Cole Slaw is perfect! Nice wilt but thick enough cut to still have crunch. This sandwich is big and it is tasty with and without the dip, but I mostly soaked it with that dip because it's killer. The Mrs got the Pulled Pork sandwich and she enjoyed it, I stole a bite and thought it was very good. She got the potato salad as her side, Delicious! Everything is clearly made from scratch in-house. Simple menu with favorites, I really appreciate that aspect. Keep it simple, do it great. read more

I enjoyed my meal here. We were going up to the lake Elsinore outlets and I found this place through Yelp. I had the rise n shine breakfast and my husband had the marks favorite I believe it was called. Son had the Tri tip sandwich with Mac and cheese. The croissant sandwich was really good. I was attracted by the cream cheese and regular cheese description on the menu. The croissant was super crispy which was fine. But part of the top end disintegrated off lol. The fried egg was like over hard with no runny yolk which is exactly how I was hoping it was however my husband asked for his over easy and it came with the yolk like a hard boiled egg so he was pretty disappointed not to have that runny egg for his skillet. The rest of his meal was tasty. The tots seemed to have like a bbq chip seasoning in them. I did not try my sons burger and honestly he may have even gotten the pulled pork but he enjoyed it. I tried the Mac and i must have just had the top dried parts because he said it was one of the best macs he's ever had. Service was very friendly all around however my husband and son ate half their meal with no beverage so he felt that it wasn't attentive enough. Minus one star for his experience avoit the drink and egg and also because I should have looked more carefully because I didn't realize it was all outdoor however it wasn't unpleasant even though it was a hot day. It was somewhat cloudy which is kind of good since without the cloud Temecula will be super-hot for you to walk around without sweating. 4th Street Garage is 2 blocks away from the major Temecula Old Town street. It has an old hot rod garage theme with hot rod vehicles displayed on the lot next to it. We were there and felt that the rain was going to pour down on us, yet it kept in the sky even after we finished our meals. We got there and looked at the sign and advised us to take any site we like. We are a party of 4 so we pick the table right near the edge of the patio like a roof near the front since most back tables are taken. There were 2 server ladies running around serving and taking orders from customers and a man appears to be the owner of the restaurant telling us that the server will be right with you to take your order. While waiting, a singer that sings country music while playing guitar was excellent. His voice was nice and clamming. It is worth it just to sit and listen to his singing. After we were greeted by the server lady and handed over a menu, she asked what we would like to drink. There is no hot drink which some might prefer on the raining cold days, but most of the time in Temecula it is hotter. After looking thru, the menu and we have ordered following items: The Belly Tots - Smothered with crème fresh & BBQ sauce - Great, if you chose to order these you don't need to order fries for your other dishes. Although there isn't a lot of belly meat, the flavor and texture were mixed perfectly with the belly and tot. The Rib Dipper and side Onion Ring - Sliced beef rib meat topped with provolone cheese and fresh au jus on a soft hogie roll - Excellent, this is a must order dish. Each slice was in the right size for you to dip and enjoy. It had a very pleasant taste with sliced beef rib, provolone cheese as well as the dipping sauce. I enjoyed every bite of this dish. The Onion right with it was super crispy and good and if I was presented with another set of onion rings with fullness, I would still finish it. The Tomahawk Rib - The biggest and best rib you'll ever have! special dry rub seasoning slow smoked for 8 hours - Excellent, who would have thought that an American comfort food restaurant will have Tomahawk Rib servings. If you love steak, this will be a must order dish. The large Tomahawk bone rib was cooked perfectly, juicy, flavorful and will leave a mark on the taste memory. Pulled Pork Sandwich - Slow smoked pulled pork topped with coleslaw and a touch of mango spice - ok, it is a lighter taste dish which is decent but no surprises here. The Grand Prix with Add Smoked Chicken - Tomatoes, pepperoni, roasted corn, cheese and croutons and Italian dressing. - Good, this salad is super huge with added chicken if you want to eat light and filling. The salad was good and there were many slices of tender chicken with extra $6 added. 2x water without ice 2x cokes We were surprised that the chef actually came out to ask about what we chose to go with the Tomahawk Rib that the server had forgotten to write it down. He was sincere and a friend. We were really surprised to find this place with a decent price with the amount of food provided. Like, I mentioned there is no soup or hot drink with only beers and cold fountain drink which might not make a difference since the weather was a little bit differ this time of year compared to others. We'll come back for more Tomahawk Rib and salute the chef with this excellent dish. read more

I visited Steinerhaus BBQ last Wednesday to attend an Line Dance Event. My overall social experience at Line Dance Event was great. The staff was great and the venue was nice rustic establishment. However, the BBQ Ribs and Trip was a totally different experience. I have never experience such terrible smoke BBQ that was over-cooked, dryed out and bonely in my entire life eating out. It took a week to think about should I leave this review, since I really enjoyed the social atmosphere. I realized that today, I should leave a review to let other know what to expect. I have tasted better BBQ from an random food truck than what I experience here. Please save your money and try the any other BBQ place. I'm truly sorry for the business owner providing this review, but you need to invest in better food products, knowledgeable/experienced cooks and have better quality control. read more

This new restaurant on 4th St in Old Town Temecula is unique in its setting of refurbished old cars. Plenty of them to see next door. Outdoor eating only, as in a large patio, heaters provided for cool weather. The bar is outside as well. Food was plentiful & tasty. BBQ lovers and meat lovers will enjoy the menu offerings but salads are offered for lighter choices with or without meat. We preferred the Rib Dipper with cheese/au jus, but the Tri tip was tender and plentiful with bbq sauce. Molly was our server, also managing the bar and was cordial and helpful. Stopped by to check out the new bbq spot in Temecula and i was pleasantly surprised. The outside has classic cars (hence the garage name) and has a cool vibe. I was greeted by Molly, an adorable young lady with a great smile and personality. I ordered and got my order very quick. I got the tri tip sandwich, side of fries; and a lemonade. Tri tip was cooked perfectly and lathered in bbq sauce and topped with an onion ring. It was delicious, plain and simple. The fries were steak fries and great. Great food.. like really, great food.. but for some reason, I can only assume it's the owner.. she comes to my wife and I right as we get our carnivore board and insists to take a picture.. EVEN after I made it very clear I didn't want to be on her social media...then she makes a smart ass comment about wanting to be in the picture. A blue diamond in the rough! We found this eatery while in Old Town Temecula. My wife and I split a large plate with tri-tip, pulled pork, potato salad, and coleslaw.
