I recently dined at Tori Sushi, I would always see it since it's nearby the gym I always go to. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us and had us seated. The ambiance was inviting and set the perfect mood for a sushi night, they played good music. The highlight of our meal was the Toro on Fire. It was so delicious that we ended up ordering it twice! The combination of flavors and freshness was unlike anything from what I have expected of Temecula, almost comparable to the sushi in Japan. Each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. The Toro was definitely melt in your mouth!! They really took their time on the rolls I will say that but it was worth the wait since they were really good. I will say, when we entered it first wasn't that busy but people slowly started trickling in and the servers took quite a while to attend to us when we asked for a refill of our water. Overall, the service was good but could have been better, the atmosphere was cozy, and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend Tori Sushi to any sushi lover :)
Toro Sushi is my new favorite sushi place! This time I got the Yellowtail Carpaccio and it was amazing. I'm going to ask for that sauce on every roll I get from now on. I also got the Toro On Fire and I was dipping the Toro On Fire in the sauce from the Carpaccio. I also added the fried onions and jalapeños to the Carpaccio. It's like a match made in Heaven! I'm doing this combo every time from now on. Our serve was great! Can't remember her name. Shorter quiet lady with glasses. She's always the best. So kind and calm. She doesn't let anything bother her. Everything is always clean including the restrooms. The food comes out fast and it looks amazing! A+ service! Thanks for making our date night awesome!
This is a hidden gem. Quality and delicious fish. Great portion sizes. Quick service. And also beautiful plating--- they made a rose out of salmon sashimi pieces. I love it.
I've been meaning to write more in my reviews, but nothing lately has inspired me to do so. Toro Sushi made me feel enlightened! There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.
Great place even though I don't eat sushi ! My family chose this place I just tag along hoping they have chicken. I was very happy with my chicken katsu and my family was happy with their sushi. The service was great and there's plenty of seating. I love the decor inside and it doesn't feel like a fast food restaurant. We will be returning before the summer is over !

It was clean and not overcrowded. The service was excellent, the fish tasted incredibly fresh, and the menu offered a great selection without being overwhelming. We will definitely be back!
First time coming here and glad we did. We received a couple in the mail and thought to check it out. We had such quick service. Very kind and efficient. The food was amazing. So fresh and very generous might I add. Beautifully plated and amazing colors. Best part was that it all came out @ a steady pace. I liked that. I can finish one thing first before getting bombarded with plates. The ambiance was nice, not too loud and not too quiet. They gave several tvs with something different on each of them that made it extra cozy (for some reason) I really enjoyed having dinner here with my family and looking forward to coming back again. It's great to have a delicious sushi place close by.
Great spot to eat. It's not all you can eat but the food is still really good. I find myself here at least twice a month. Service and the cleanliness is great.
Service was really prompt and friendly. Ambiance was nice. The sushi was pretty good. The bento boxes were delicious. I recommend trying the tempura, which was the star of the show for me. I didn't have the ramen but my family commented the broth wasn't very good. They said it was really light and tasteless especially for a tonkatsu broth. I feel that the takoyaki is reheated frozen. I personally had a bento with salmon and shrimp tempura. I really enjoyed my bento and spicy salmon roll. The salmon was cooked perfectly in my bento.
My family stopped by Toro Sushi to celebrate my mom's birthday since we saw some good reviews and wanted to try a new sushi spot. When we first entered, we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our server got our menus and was quick to get us drinks while we waited. We noticed that the restaurant was very clean and well-decorated with warm lighting. The atmosphere was very nice and not too loud, which we were fans of. Our orders came in quickly in rounds, and the sushi tasted very fresh and creamy. They were all pretty well-portioned and sized. We really enjoyed all the plates we ordered (I wish I remembered all their names), and the quality of the fish was great. The sexy salmon stands out as a great roll and we also ordered one plate with no rice (crispy salmon on the bottom instead). Everything tasted filling, refreshing, and creamy for some. We'll be there again whenever we're in the area!
My family and I come here weekly. We love the friendly staff and service. Ambiance is warm and great for large groups. Food is amazing, even my 6 yo loves coming here and has a lot of options for everyone, even for picky eaters.

The chef is obviously not Japanese. Japanese chefs are usually as meticulous and detail-oriented as Germans, and you can tell just by looking at how the salmon is sliced. They're charging prices as if they had a master sushi chef, but the food tastes like it was made by someone who has only been learning sushi for three months. Other than the convenient location and decent service, there's really nothing else worth recommending. read more

This place had a lot of diners for a weekday dinner. The staff was really friendly. The lemon roll was densely packed with imitation crab and had a nice size salmon with lemon on top, but it lacked flavor. The spicy tuna in the bento box wasn't spicy enough for my liking and was falling apart. The vegetable tempura and salad were the best parts of our meal. There were a lot of Japanese-inspired decorations. read more

Long time Southwest Riverside resident first time experiencing Toro Sushi. This is a place you can not see off the main busy Winchester Road in French Valley. My family and I were greeted by friendly staff eager to serve us. I had the Ramen and a roll and the presentation and taste was outstanding. You can tell the food was made with pride. The restaurant is very clean and we had a booth. Staff was so friendly. I look forward on returning and trying new items. By the time we left more people were filling the restaurant. I hope this place stays around. read more

Welcoming staff. Arrived around 5 on a Saturday. Was looking for a dog friendly place. No outdoor patio, but my dog is pretty good about chilling so extremely grateful to them on that front. The food itself was amazing. Also had an oyster shooter which I forgot to take a picture of. It was delicious... impressively good actually. Sake is good. Partner ordered Toro on Fire and Bluefin tuna roll, said they were good, too. Not mind blowing, but tasty and good. Vibe is chill and casual inside restaurant. Area AROUND the restaurant is super casual. Not much here to see around it. Overall recommend. read more
Update: tried the tonkatsu ramen and yellowtail kama today. Both were excellent. I'd like the option of some ramen add ons ( veggies, extra egg) don't know if they offer that. The Kama was very delicate and had a sweet glaze. It went very well with a little ponzu too. Also bluefin tuna roll and escolar sushi- highly recommend. Our service was very good. Sat down for the Omakase experience with Sushi chef "Jeff". Started out with some Miso soup, salad and tempura shrimp. Received a large sake too; then the magic happened - all the dishes were fantastic after that. Have included pictures. $79 per person, $$$, but celebrating with someone special! Amazing sushi as a San Diego native who moved out here I give it 2 thumbs up. It reminds me of home I love the yellow tail nigiri and the toro nigiri. My roll was the sexy salmon roll 10/10 for that. My kids loved their teriyaki beef it was tender and they shared one bowl. The tonkatsu ramen was bland needs more fat and salt but the noddles and grilled pork were spot on in it. I'll be back to try more our busser was a new guy he was helpful and the service was fast and great. read more

Super clean!!!! Important for me in a sushi resturant and very friendly staff. But let's get down to business i love asian food and japanese food is my favorite who doesn't like sushi!! It was so delicious we got a hot green tea the brand of this tea is so good tasting we had to take the tea bag top to see if we can find it, a Shirley temple, baked mussels, adedashi tofu which was sooo good and perfect, 3 rolls but my favorite roll was OMG!! The fish was so fresh in every sushi roll and not too saturated with sauce like most sushi restaurants do. Also the cuts of fish were generous and this place was reasonably priced for 3 sushi rolls, 2 app, and 2 drinks under a 100!! I love this place. I might have found my new spot. Excited that this place is finally open; it's very close by to me so that's great. We came in for dinner yesterday for the first visit. Great amount of seating here, but I'm sure there will be a long wait once this place picks up. We ordered several items and they all were pretty good. The service was good too. I really like that we can add ourselves to the Yelp waitlist and make a reservation through Yelp too. Strong smell when I first wanted into the restaurant, but other than that no issue on this first visit for me. Will be back soon. read more

5 Stars! This new sushi spot is what we needed here in Winchester! The ambiance is cozy and modern. The restaurant is a bit small and it was a bit busy for a Monday. The service was amazing I do have to say! The waiters were very kind and attentive towards us. The sushi is incredibly fresh and flavorful--each bite melts in your mouth. Highly recommend the golden tiger roll if your craving a tempura roll. Also the Hawaiian roll was so tasty! A must-visit for any sushi lover! Love this place and will be coming back for more. read more
