Clean restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. Great food choices. BBQ Beef is always tender and flavorful. Tempura is always crisp and not too oily. Service is friendly, attentive, and efficient. I'm not a big sushi eater so I can't really comment on how it compares to other places. Udon is not Japanese style. The menu has a wide variety of things so I think everyone will be able to find something enjoyable to eat. read more

So happy to have come here thanks to great friends for their recommendation of this location! Hana Sushi has so many options on their menu, but specifically, so many specialty rolls. We started out with garlic edamame, and honestly I could give the 5-star review for this location for the garlic edamame alone. It just had so much flavor and a perfect amount of garlic (which in my case is heavy on the garlic). Although there were so many roll options, I did narrow it down to three. We ordered the Dragon roll, the Ichiban roll, and the Princess roll. My personal favorite was honestly split between the Ichiban and Dragon rolls. Both were fantastic for their own reasons. On the Ichiban roll, the seared salmon was so buttery it just melted in your mouth. Plus with the combo of spicy tuna and soft shell crab, just a delight all together! The Dragon roll was a tie since the eel was so good. Just perfect texture and taste and anything with unagi is better. I loved the Princess roll, I just took off the jalapeños off of each roll I ate as the jalapeños would cover up the flavor of the rest of the roll. The spicy tuna with yellowtail combo was phenomenal, especially in a ponzu sauce/marinade. Our service was great as well! Both servers we had were very attentive and our waters were never empty. Also by the time we ordered our food, they came back immediately with our edamame and only a few minutes later with our rolls. They were incredibly fast. Parking is very easy as the restaurant is in a larger shopping/restaurant plaza. Can't wait to go back to try more rolls as their menu seems endless! read more

I am giving Hana Sushi #6 and the stars of the experience were Simon, our server and the sushi chef, which I am sorry I didn't catch his name and should have bought him a beer. Simon was exceptionally professional, courteous and attentive. We started with the spicy garlic edamame and it was seriously the best I have ever, ever had. Just amazing. Next, we each ordered a salmon handroll. I have never seen nor had such an amazing salmon handroll, which was exceptionally plentiful and I mean packed with fresh, buttery salmon! Amazing! We were surprised that the handrolls were $13.95 ea., that was the only issue I had. I had the Hana Gold roll. It was very good. I thought the tempura shrimp should have been the larger, jumbo 16/20 size shrimp. A little skimpy and hardly noticeable in the full priced specialty roll. I believe they missed the mark here too. Despite the "indi-glo" ahi [bright red/pink, not found in nature] the roll was good, not great. I feel that they packed this roll with krab and the tiny shrimp and I ended up not getting the bang for my buck. The rice itself was done very well. This is a true marker for good sushi. I had a Kikusui, my friend the lg hot sake and I had a small Sapporo. The addition of fresh wasabi and the paste both made the sushi experience good as they both had that kick and heat. I hope they read this review and up some of the standards, esp., in the "Gold" roll. It is obviously a huge profit margin for them. Next time I will ask them to hold the bright "fish" and bring on the salmon. My girlfriend and I were starving and planned to go eat here for our first time. We sat down, got our food, and finished it all in 15 minutes LOL. Service was amazing, our waitress/server was super sweet and attentive. Food was BOMB. (We got the dragon roll, sunset roll, and crunch roll you'll see in the photo). I had ask for their specials upon being seated by her, and server placed a paper in front of me and walked away without saying a word. Today was not the best day at Hana sushi. We got there at 7:45 last call for sushi is at 9 pm. This was the slowest service I've ever experienced here. We ordered the oysters and 3 rolls of sushi and edamame. Even though we had requested edamame and oysters when we sat down at the table in the beginning while trying to decide the sushi we wanted, the order never got placed until we finished ordering the sushi we wanted it took about 30 mins before we got the edamame and then after all the edamame was finished got the oysters. Edamame was good. I'm not an oyster fan so I didn't try it but heard it was good. After an hour we finally got one roll of sushi on the table and then it was 9 pm and we had to decide if we wanted more or the kitchen would be closed, how do you decide if you want more if you haven't even had a chance to get one bite in your mouth. The sunset roll was the best. The Viking roll is supposed to come on fire , which they didn't do because of the tome issue. Great service and not so great sushi. Two of us each tried the lunch special. Three rolls each, with no soup and salad option, lacking for the price. Two of my the three rolls were of below average quality. The rainbow roll however, was awful. I took one bite and for my own safety, did not eat anymore of it. My friend Masato is a sushi chef here. He works two days during the week. Ask for him to prepare your sushi or rolls. On our latest visit we went with mixed tempura, which was delicious. Also had the ichiban roll, very spicy and wet. Didnt care for it . We also had the yellowtail, very nice and melts in your mouth! Service was good. Last week was our first time at this Hana Sushi location. Indoor seating at tables spaced apart to accommodate COVID requirements was welcomed on this cold evening. We ordered mixed tempura, Ichiban roll, and yellowtail sashimi. A bowl of complimentary miso soup comes with the meal. This was so much food for two people! Everything was fresh and tasty. This week we decided to venture out towards a new sushi restaurant and came upon Hana Sushi. There we ordered the calamari roll, the crunchy asparagus roll, and salmon nigiri. The calamari roll came with the combination of octopus and crab wrapped in seaweed and rice. The roll was good yet somewhat lacked flavorful components. The crunchy asparagus roll was delicious with the perfect amount of crunch and spicy tuna. Out of all the orders, this was most definitely the best one. Lastly, the salmon nigiri met expectations but the quantity/price relationship is something to ponder. Overall the Hana is a decent sushi place to dine into. I just wanted some sushi, and Hana delivered so much better than that. They charge middle-quality prices for good quality. The chirashi bowl is so fresh, and it's a generous portion, enough for a meal. You get a few slices of everything: tuna, salmon, albacore, snapper, shrimp, octopus, egg, etc. They also have fun apps like the Garlic Shrimp if you prefer your seafood cooked. Read the Yelp reviews and they accurate as far as I can say. The food is extremely fresh, the sushi and rolls are great, the miso soup is delicious, all in all we liked it. I picked up a takeout order, arrived on time and the food was packaged appropriately, even with a little cardboard in the bottom of the bag to keep your dish from spilling... Nice! Now the downside is this. I ordered BBQ ribs and they were tender, delicious, but I must say, like really, they could of gave you rice with it instead of paying $6.00 for rice. Most Japanese restaurants give rice away... Not here and yes.... The food is good but it is PRICEY. But Ill go back for sure and be a little selective on my order.
