    Refreshing Roll

Ate here for a quick lunch and came an hour before closing. I wasn't going to order anything else besides a roll anyway, but the waitress probably took 20 minutes to jot my order down, then mentioned that it was already the last call for anything. I ordered the Refreshing Roll, which includes tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado with thin sliced jalapeno, lemon and refreshing sauce on top. A miso soup was given which I always appreciate! The quality of the fish was there, as well as presentation. It was soy paper wrapped, then wrapped with rice to hold the fish together. I loved the roll and thought it was a good ratio of rice to fish. I would take note of Fire Fish Sushi if I was in the Temecula area again and come back to try more fish!

I stumbled across Fire Fish Sushi just searching up food places while my clothes were washing and drying at the laundromat. I noticed that the Yelp reviews were all pretty much 4 stars and above and the sushi pics looked solid! So, I ended up driving about 5 mins from the laundromat to the spot. Even though it's located in another shopping center, the parking was a little tough. As I walked in, I was quickly seated at the bar but the place was pretty packed. It's a small sushi restaurant with a bar area and waitresses are running around trying to take care of the customers. It seems like it's a famous local sushi restaurant because I noticed on my way out, people were pretty packed waiting by the door in the inside and a few families were sitting outside waiting to be seated. I ordered a salmon, yellowtail and scallop hand roll and pork gyoza. The sushi was so fresh and good and the gyoza was crispy and juicy every time I bit into them. I usually don't drink my miso soup but for some reason, I tore that miso up. The place was clean, they had a tv in the corner playing a game and there was music in the background. It's a cool little spot and the sushi is legit! I highly recommend checking this place out but I can see it getting packed very quickly due to the size of the restaurant. They do have a patio for outdoor seating but it wasn't being utilized that night. I'll be back for sure! OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Great price and quality for sushi in Temecula! Service is pretty standard and the vibe is pretty chill. They have a good assortment of rolls and are all made pretty well. The ratio between the rice is good and not excessive too so well made. This is located in a plaza so a good amount of parking and there's also 87 Deg Bakery that is worth checking out to grab some stuff afterwards.

Great sushi! We had the 3 millionaire and loved the saucy sauce. And the Philadelphia roll which had hearty amounts of cream cheese. And the magic mountain! Very fun and delicious. Great service. Good atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a nice date spot or just a quick roll on a lunch break. Mmmmmm!

We went to Fire Fish last time we were in Temecula and really enjoyed it. We decided to come back for our most recent trip and were disappointed. The sushi itself tasted fresh but the service was really what made me not want to come back again. We ordered an appetizer and two sushi rolls (New York New York and Sushi Lover). Our sushi was pretty good and we had finished and were empty on waters and awaiting our bill when our appetizer came out well after we had finished our food. Our server did not apologize for the wait or make any remarks, we also noticed we were not the only ones having poor service. I noticed others were flagging down their server or even getting up to grab napkins and chopsticks. I could see this being a better option for takeout but would not recommend dining in due to the poor service.

We love Fire Fish. The staff is always wonderful and the food is always great. We came in to celebrate a big victory and ordered salmon sashimi, miso and the all in one no rice roll. I think that might be my new favorite no rice roll! It was so good. They were out of Ramune and ice tea but that's OK we came in an hour before closing so it wasn't a huge deal. The food was amazing and we love the new menus. We will definitely be back again, as this is one of our favorite spots. Inside was clean and we were seated right away, they were pretty busy busy still had room for smaller parties.

They were very sweet and friendly! I wanted a California roll with no rice and added greens, it was soooo yummy! You have to try the Japanese Nachos!!!

It's very clean inside and it is just the right size for a sushi restaurant. Your stuff is very nice as well.

We ordered our food through DoorDash but had it pickup since they were not answering their phone. We were so disappointed with the baked rolls that we ordered since they were so stingy on the protein (fish) inside the sushi and it's mostly rice. Then the sushi nigiri was so pathetic, we paid $9.99 for 2 pieces! What a waste of money! The quality of the food is not the same as it used to be. Not coming back here anymore.

Fire Fish Sushi is one of my favorite local spots, especially as a vegan! I'm always so happy to find places that offer thoughtful, delicious vegan options--and Fire Fish really delivers. Their vegetable roll is fresh and flavorful, and the Green Machine is a must-try--it's topped with seaweed salad and creamy avocado, which is always perfectly ripe. The side salad is another highlight with their own homemade dressing that adds just the right touch. What truly makes this place stand out is the service. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and happy to accommodate my requests or modifications. They've never made me feel like a burden for asking to tweak something, which I really appreciate. One of my absolute favorite things: they serve fresh wasabi root! It's such a rare treat and makes everything taste even more vibrant. They also have a great sake selection, so it's become a regular date night spot for my husband and me. He's not vegan, and I am, so we love that we can both find something we really enjoy here. Fire Fish Sushi has a warm, welcoming vibe and consistently great food. Highly recommend!

Perfect for anniversary dinner:…read more Omakase sushi is one of the most refined and memorable dining experiences you can have, especially if you appreciate attention to detail, freshness, and craftsmanship. From the moment you sit down, there's a clear sense that this is not just a meal--it's a curated journey guided entirely by the chef's expertise and intuition. What makes omakase stand out is the trust you place in the chef. Instead of choosing dishes yourself, you allow the chef to present a sequence of sushi that highlights the best ingredients available that day. This often results in a progression that feels intentional and balanced, starting with lighter, more delicate flavors and gradually moving toward richer, more complex pieces. Each bite is thoughtfully designed to showcase the natural qualities of the fish, the texture of the rice, and the subtle interplay of seasoning. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable. High-quality omakase typically features fish flown in from top markets, and you can taste the difference. The fish is clean, tender, and often melts in your mouth. The rice, which is just as important as the fish, is seasoned perfectly--slightly warm, lightly vinegared, and shaped with precision so it holds together without being dense. Another standout aspect is the craftsmanship. Watching the chef prepare each piece right in front of you adds a level of appreciation you don't get with standard dining. Every movement is deliberate, from slicing the fish to forming the rice to brushing on just the right amount of soy or adding a touch of wasabi. It becomes clear that years of training and discipline go into even the simplest-looking piece of sushi. Omakase also introduces you to varieties of fish and preparations you might never order on your own. This expands your palate and helps you discover new favorites. Seasonal ingredients often play a role, which keeps the experience dynamic and unique each time you go. Service is typically intimate and attentive, especially if you're seated at the counter. The chef may explain each piece, offer guidance on how to eat it, or adjust the pacing based on your preferences. This interaction adds a personal element that enhances the overall experience. While omakase can be more expensive than regular sushi, the value lies in the quality, skill, and overall experience. It's not just about eating--it's about enjoying a carefully orchestrated meal that reflects both tradition and creativity. Overall, omakase sushi delivers a level of quality and thoughtfulness that's hard to match. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines artistry, flavor, and a sense of occasion, omakase is absolutely worth it.

All of the servers were friendly, attentive, and quick to check in on us. We never had to flag anyone down or wait long for assistance. The menu offers a great variety of options, making it easy to find something for everyone. We ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Garlic Edamame, and a variety of rolls. Everything came out quickly, was fresh, and tasted great. The ramen and rolls were especially enjoyable, and there wasn't much left behind except for the broth. The only item that missed the mark for me was the Garlic Edamame. It was coated in quite a bit of sauce, which ended up overpowering the flavor of the edamame itself. I'd recommend ordering it with less sauce or asking for it on the lighter side if possible. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the food was good, and the service was attentive. If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely stop by again.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away and seated promptly. Service was attentive, and the restaurant looked clean and welcoming. We started with a few appetizers the spicy edamame was delicious with the perfect kick and a hint of sweetness. The fried tempura was fresh, crispy, and had that satisfying crunch. We also tried the rainbow roll, which was fresh and tasty. We ordered the spicy ramen as well, but it was extremely salty for my taste. I mentioned it to our waitress, and she was very kind, appreciated the feedback, and took it back right away. Great customer service goes a long way. Overall, a solid spot if you're in town and craving sushi. Worth stopping by!

There's something honest about a new sushi spot finding its footing, and Toro Sushi leans into that simplicity in the best way. No gimmicks, no overreaching, just clean cuts of fish, thoughtfully plated, and priced like they actually want you to come back. The sashimi (even the "small") punches above its weight, fresh, clean, no nonsense. You taste the ocean, not the freezer. That's already half the battle won. The sleeper hit here is the bento box. It's the kind of meal that reminds you value still exists, generous without being sloppy, filling without feeling like a compromise. The kind of plate that earns repeat business. Come in around 5:30 and it's still catching its breath. By 6, though, the place finds its pulse, busy, lively, the kind of energy you want in a neighborhood spot that's clearly starting to click. Service was kind, and quick, food came out decent too. The tempura shrimp and veggies was crisp and not too oily. The room itself? Polished. Modern. Spotless. Someone cares, and it shows. But like any place finding its stride, there are gaps. The men's restroom is a one-person situation, and if you've got a kid, you're out of luck, no changing table in the men's room, us millennial dads are not afraid of a poppie diaper. Not a dealbreaker, but a miss in a family-heavy area. Still, Toro Sushi doesn't try to be the loudest spot in the room, it just quietly does enough things right to make you want to return. And honestly, that's the kind of place that lasts.
