My friends and I have been to this restaurant many times, almost always ordering sushi and sashimi, and the taste is consistently excellent. The staff are also very friendly. This time, I specifically tried some dishes I hadn't tried before. The omelet rice had a very soft egg crepe, and the rice inside was incredibly fragrant; it was a perfect match with ketchup. I also recommend the kimchi fried rice, topped with a fried egg--very appetizing. The lean and fatty roll was also refreshing and healthy, suitable for those on a diet. The grilled fish and fried shrimp heads were also delicious, fried to a crisp, and made a great side dish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and give it a five-star rating! Hey, I have found a fantastic sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is great and the service was excellent. I ordered a few dishes and they were very good. So disappointing. I've been here a few times and enjoyed the food but the owner must've changed. As soon as I walked in, it smelled like sewage. I should've walked out then. We sat down and the menu had no prices for the sushi. The waiter said I would need to ask the price for each item...Why?? Why not have the prices listed on the menu. Seems odd. The sushi itself was mediocre. The fish was ok, kids said they liked their rolls but you can't go wrong with rolls, right? The amount of ginger and wasabi they provided was ridiculous. Based on rave reviews and what I had heard thru the community, I was excited to try this place out. After all, I feel like good sushi and sashimi are hard to come by in this area. I ordered the sashimi combo and my mom ordered a bento box with a side of sashimi. It LOOKED great. Plated beautifully. Order came out fast, and timely. The minute I bit into my first piece, I knew something was wrong. It was spongey, almost water logged. Basically not the texture nor the quality I was expecting. I tried another piece, same story. Don't let the location fool you. This is a GEM- a great find. We almost doubted the reviews and pictures but so glad we stopped here for dinner. Honestly had low expectations considering Temecula isn't the Mecca of sushi. I was pleasantly surprised!! The quality of the fish is pretty amazing. Unfortunately this was our go to spot and to be honest, im not sure what's changed but the sushi isn't as fresh...the staff isn't as friendly and theres a HORRIBLE sewer smell coming from the women's restroom. We've tried to give this place a few more shots, thinking maybe it was an off night but unfortunately its consistently bad. The only thing stopping my review from being a 5 is the luke warm service. The last 2 times we felt rushed to order and leave. The last time we sat down, weren't offered any water or greeted by our server just left at the table for about 5 minutes and then they came over and asked if we were ready to order. I literally had to ask for water and for time to look at the menu. The most recent visit was the same. We got in at a little after 8 and they close at 9 so we figured we had more than enough time but the waitress was giving off the "hurry up and order" vibe. We asked for a moment then she came back to tell us last call was coming up. So we ordered and like I said the food was great. A couple walked in at 833( they close at 9) and were turned away and they offered them no apology which I thought they should've. After waiting about an hour with no food, my husband went to check and it became clear our server had never entered our order at all. She then rushed to put it in, but by that point we had to leave. I'm a new mom and I have to stay on a schedule with my baby. We paid for our drinks and left without eating. Let me say it comes in soy paper with grilled onions and a jalapeños on top. Some special sauce in the middle for dipping. Only you can dip the sushi because it falls apart. The service was quick and the restaurant is clean. The menu has a variety of sushi choices. I'll never eat here again to try anything else on the menu.
