I was shockingly surprised to find this amazing sushi restaurant In Temecula. It was the closest place to where I was staying I went to get a sake and couple hand rolls. If the fish was fresh. They must fly in their fish fresh, it is definitely amazing. The hand rolls are a phenomenal deal but the fresh nigiri they have is also very special. The miso here is the best I've ever had, service is always polite and speedy, and they always have a bangin playlist going. Never had a bad experience here and been coming for years. Came across YouandI when searching for a sushi restaurant in the area. The outside looks totally dark and the restaurant may even look closed, but the inside turned into a really nice vibe with the lighting and decor! Portion sizes were big and our rolls came with a miso soup and a small side salad. The rolls are generally bigger than your average sushi restaurant, but not to the point where it's mainly rice. We got nice cuts of fish on our Candy Cane Roll and Burning Your Stomach Roll. They were too similar in fillings so I wish I got something different, but I did like the Candy Cane better. It had yellowtail and tuna on top and the other roll has jalapeños and albacore on top. For appetizers, we got the Lava Stones which is basically crispy tuna rice. They were nice bite size pieces and delicious. No idea what the chef's special sauce is, but it tasted like a ponzu mixture of some sort. I did like it with my roll though! Overall, I do think presentation could be a little better, but our rolls were tasty and we had leftovers! Definitely check this place out for a hefty list of sushi rolls and combinations. read more

Had the Chris' Special, second time here. The roll is delicious. I really enjoyed the grilled shrimp and jalapeno, which was spicy but for me it was perfect. If you are allergic to spicy, try it without the jalapeno. It's topped with yellow tail, another favorite of mine. Yumm! Can't wait to try some of their other specialty rolls. Their service was excellent. Servers very attentive and the chefs preparation and dish presentation was on point. I never expected to find an amazing sushi spot in a Temecula strip mall until I found Youandi sushi from a random Yelp search months ago when we were in town. We were so impressed that we've not only been back several times ourselves, but have brought our friends and family around too. Everyone has really enjoyed it! Highly recommend the sushi combo, sashimi combo, hand rolls (spicy scallops, blue crab, etc. Tbh they're all good), and specialty nigiri pieces (ask for what's current). If you come during lunch, they give you a complimentary salad (super crisp and refreshing) and miso soup as well. Also, I really appreciate that they use freshly grated, REAL wasabi - makes a huge difference! They offer an impressive variety of fish, everything is always very fresh, and the cuts are also very generous. Coming from LA, we're pretty spoiled with high quality sushi options, but this spot has wowed us. The staff is always pleasant and the chef is fantastic. The hidden gem of Temecula. You need to try this place. I honestly can't believe there's this good a quality sushi in Temecula! This is one of my all time favorite sushi restaurants (I've been to many) staff are friendly, I always recognize the blond girl from my first time there for my birthday, I'm so bad with names but she's always delightful. The chefs are the bar even made me and my girlfriend a customized roll (his own creation) just because she said she liked salmon skin. Delicious btw. Now the FOOD! We ordered 7 items and they came out quick but not all at once. Their timing was perfect. They did let us know that the rolls that are deep fried will take a little longer. They served us each complimentary miso soup and to die for salad which was super simple but the dressing made it amazing. All the rolls were fresh and ingredients matched well for each roll. A few of the names are kinda funky...lol. I loved the decor and set up of the restaurant and it was clean. Love all the rolls with the Kitchen Sink Roll being our favorite. read more

Me and the husband have been going here for 3-4years. We have always been satisfied with the service and the food. Usually I order to go for lunch since time is limited and dine in for dinner. Never a complaint. Just these past few months- dine- in is so slow. My take out orders are ALWAYS missing some things. Last week, NO RICE on my combo! Today NO WASABI!! Now there are many other times which I do not complain about. Also, If you dine in, you get your soup and salad. But if you order to-go you get none. Miso soup is made in a big ass pot before service hour, and the salad is premade and dressing place before serving. These things cost cents. Skimming on things that barely bring in the money only lose customers . Not the way to go. Will be looking for other options. Makes me sad. read more

He was very helpful in explaining tastes and nuances to my wife who's never really been into sushi. This was very appreciated. I came across Youandi a couple months ago while looking for a sushi fix, and I have not been able to get it off my mind since then! The parking is easy and plentiful, the decor is appealing, the service is great, and best of all, the food is delicious and comes in generous portions. Youandi offers complimentary miso soup and salad to start. In addition, I enjoy their hand rolls ($5.50/per) and Lava Stones appetizer ($10.95). The hand rolls are made just like how Kazunori does theirs, which I am obsessed with! They are served right away to ensure that the seaweed is still crispy, which is a must for me. Though they are all great, my favorite hand rolls are the salmon, toro, and yellowtail. As for the Lava Stones, it's basically crispy rice topped with spicy tuna and jalapeno. I've had this dish at several sushi or ramen restaurants, but Youandi has been the best in terms of taste and portion. Most recently, my partner and I ordered the Fried Calamari appetizer ($8.95) to switch things up. We were so surprised by the mountain of calamari and tempura that we were given. It's always a treat to eat at Youandi. I'm hoping to try the Chirashi Bowl or Unagi-Don some time soon, which I have high expectations for. read more

Ok, I am not going to lie. Based purely on the look on the outside of the restaurant I was a bit skeptical about the 4 1/2 stars this restaurant got. They have a very large and varied menu so I was happy to have a lot of options on the specialty rolls. I had the Skinny Fat roll and my mom had the Alaska roll. The fish was so, incredibly fresh! I could not get enough. Skinny Fat was just the right amount of fish to be satisfying since it had no rice to bulk it up. The staff was nice and attentive and the restaurant itself was quaint. Also, they gave us a complementary bowl of miso soup and some sort of salad. Truth be told, the salad, which was broken up iceberg lettuce and some sort of yellow, watery, paste, was not my favorite. I hate to even knock it because complementary anything at restaurants is hard to come by, but the salad was a bit unappetizing and left a little to be desired. The miso, however, was great! Most likely the only sushi restaurant in town that serves fresh fish. None of the fake white fish with food coloring. The sushi is fantastic and comparable to many of the sushi restaurants in Orange County and San Diego. That speaks volumes. I've gone to other sushi restaurants in the area and the qualify failed miserably. For the most part, the servers are very friendly although sometimes common sense isn't always common. They are always helpful and very polite. So I appreciate them. The ambiance is calming and intimate. I love how the booths are large enough to fit two people on each side comfortably. Maybe even a third. The food is a little pricy, but I understand considering the quality of the food. The food prices in this area just appears to be higher than the coastal cities. Youandi Sushi is a rear gem and would recommend the restaurant for anyone who lives out here and misses quality sushi. Two thumbs up . read more
