Tempura roll, minus one since l ate before my phone did
    Jillian S.

We love this place! Their food is amazing, and honestly, we have had the same female server each time and she is wonderful! It's a bit small and casual but what they lack in size is made up for with their tasty food! The only reason for the lack of one star is unfortunately each time l have come (and ordered almost identical things), l have had extremely bad tummy issues thereafter. So l will one by one be omitting one item of my usual order to see what item it is and just not eat that item. The ramen is delicious. The best we've had in the area. My kids eat it up! My husband loves the spicy edamame. He always gets a sushi roll and says they are good. I love the tempura and cucumber rolls, which l order often whenever l go to a sushi place. But not every place has a tempura roll. I love the extra crunch they bring. Their tempura on its own is amazing. If you're in the area looking for a good sushi place, Sushi Plus One is not to be missed!

    Chef's special roll "Freeman"

Came back to Sushi Plus One after a while, and it reminded me why I love this place. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. Every bite tasted clean and high quality. The chef's special roll called Freeman roll was flavorful and perfectly balanced. The salmon skin salad was absolutely outstanding. The crispy salmon skin paired with the fresh greens and flavorful dressing created an amazing mix of texture and taste. It's easily one of our favorite dishes here. What makes this place even more special is the chef. He is genuinely kind, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole dining experience even better. Overall, everything from the food quality to the overall experience was fantastic. If you're in Murrieta/Temecula area and craving sushi, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Decided to try a new spot today with my co worker on our lunch break and it didn't disappoint!! Waitress was really friendly and attentive I didn't get her name :( We only have an hr lunch break and it was nice finding somewhere we can get good sushi and good timing. The sushi was really good I got the rainbow and crunch roll and my co worker got the chicken yakisoba that was really good too!! Their lunch specials are really nice as well! $22 and you can pick out of the 6 different rolls. They had good options and different lunch specials to choose from. I like that you also get the soup and salad with the lunch special. The green tea ice cream was really good too.

The best sushi spot you can go to in the area hands down. It was hard to fine a good place with great sushi rolls and a killer spicy edamame until we found this place. The service is top notch. The people that work here really treat you well and are always welcoming and happy to see you. I highly recommend.

Refreshing alternative to my usual Sushi-ya in Temecula and a great find as well. Far better than all the others, and reminiscent of the quality I get in Japan. Ordered the Dodgers Roll, Eel Roll, and an order of Maguro for pickup. Upon arrival noticed that the place was clean, and resembled the appearance of modern Japanese shops, but the Brittney Spears music playing was a little off Return home to enjoy with a bottle of Sake from Yamagata Prefecture. Everything was delicious I have found my place in California! Great taste, fresh, reasonable prices, great customer service, and close to home.

If you're here for friendly service and free ice cream, you've come to the right place. The plates were chipped and dirty. The ceiling was dirty. The floor was sticky and dirty, and the bathroom was terrible. The rolls without rice were fine. The rice was warm, and the nori was bitter.

We sat at the bar, which made the whole experience even better--we got to watch all the beautifully crafted rolls come out and chat with the chef, who gave us great recommendations. One thing that really stood out is how customizable everything is. I've never been to a sushi spot where it felt this easy (and encouraged) to build your own roll. We ordered the beef teriyaki roll, tuna lovers roll, and a custom shrimp tempura roll with cream cheese inside, deep fried, topped with avocado and spicy tuna--so good. It's not strictly traditional if that's what you're after, but it's incredibly creative and thoughtfully put together. If you're open to a more modern, inventive sushi experience, this place is absolutely worth it.

Anyway, this is the go to place in the Temecula Valley for sushi. Specialty is Blue Fin Tuna, the Chutoro tonight was to die for. I also love their seared hamachi and spicy tuna with crispy rice. The rolls are fabulous including the Ono Lovers Roll and Ocean Lobster Roll. I wish they had a Wagyu Beef roll but beggars can't be choosers ;-) Bento Boxes are great, love their seared love the miso soup. This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

The interior is well-decorated with booths and tables to choose from. We were seated at a larger table for 5 adults. Once we were seated, we asked about the all you can eat service and were told to order from a paper. They give you 3 rounds to order whatever you'd like that's available on the menu. Lunch and dinner have different prices and a few more options available for dinner specifically. While filling out the forms, our servers were very good about checking in with us, double-checking if our paper order was ready or not without rushing us, and refilling drinks whenever we were less than halfway done. The quality of the sushi is really good. I felt like the nigiri was really had really good quality fish with a nice bit of seasoning. Each bite felt fresh and easy to eat. My favorite was the mackerel and eel because of their strong flavors. The rolls were also quite flavorful, with lots of different flavors and options. I really enjoyed the spider roll, but all of them were delicious. I'm so glad we stopped by to try because we have a new sushi place in our rotation. Definitely stop by if you're in the area for an amazing deal, and ayce is not your thing, the rolls themselves I think are worth it to order!

I've eaten here a couple of times before I posting a review because sometimes experiences aren't…read moreall the same. Unfortunately, they both were for me. Having just moved here from a beach community, I was spoiled by a superb sushi restaurant in San Clemente. Though, my boyfriend loves this place for the all you can eat sushi, but he orders his same thing every time (Mexican roll), and the White House (a heavy cream baked fish) I always order something along the lines of a Rainbow Roll or a Superman Burrito (ahi hand-roll , which I don't think they had), I lean towards fresh ahi tuna, salmon and yellowtail selections. First off, my sake was lukewarm, whereas, I like hot sake. They did reheat it, so it improved it. They had an odd selection of alcoholic drinks: screwdriver, jack and coke, and Long Island iced tea, type of cocktails. Strange, but ok, whatever is a crowd pleaser. The fish to me didn't taste very fresh and seemed more chewy, especially the shrimp. I tried the White House, which tasted fine, but it was so heavy with thick cream sauce. Overall, I guess, it just didn't measure up to the quality that I am used to, comparatively. The vinyl booths were outdated, and dishes made me feel like I was in a cafeteria, white and light plastic. This change would probably elevate the experience and, possibly, even make the food present and taste better. However, maybe this is the theme that they are going for. Though all of those things should be improved upon, I do have to say that the staff was very attentive and kind. I know that a lot of people love this place for their reasons, and my best experience there was them. The last comment I will add is that, when it comes to celebrating a birthday, the celebratory music that is played, is just too loud. A small adjustment in volume would be efficient enough to make someone's day a better one. Maybe, in a few months, I'll try the establishment out again and see how they're doing. Sometimes, just by drawing a fine line on what type of experience you want customer's to have, can make all the difference. Sometimes, less is more. Just don't lose the staff, great customer service does really count.

Perfect for anniversary dinner:…read more Omakase sushi is one of the most refined and memorable dining experiences you can have, especially if you appreciate attention to detail, freshness, and craftsmanship. From the moment you sit down, there's a clear sense that this is not just a meal--it's a curated journey guided entirely by the chef's expertise and intuition. What makes omakase stand out is the trust you place in the chef. Instead of choosing dishes yourself, you allow the chef to present a sequence of sushi that highlights the best ingredients available that day. This often results in a progression that feels intentional and balanced, starting with lighter, more delicate flavors and gradually moving toward richer, more complex pieces. Each bite is thoughtfully designed to showcase the natural qualities of the fish, the texture of the rice, and the subtle interplay of seasoning. The freshness of the ingredients is immediately noticeable. High-quality omakase typically features fish flown in from top markets, and you can taste the difference. The fish is clean, tender, and often melts in your mouth. The rice, which is just as important as the fish, is seasoned perfectly--slightly warm, lightly vinegared, and shaped with precision so it holds together without being dense. Another standout aspect is the craftsmanship. Watching the chef prepare each piece right in front of you adds a level of appreciation you don't get with standard dining. Every movement is deliberate, from slicing the fish to forming the rice to brushing on just the right amount of soy or adding a touch of wasabi. It becomes clear that years of training and discipline go into even the simplest-looking piece of sushi. Omakase also introduces you to varieties of fish and preparations you might never order on your own. This expands your palate and helps you discover new favorites. Seasonal ingredients often play a role, which keeps the experience dynamic and unique each time you go. Service is typically intimate and attentive, especially if you're seated at the counter. The chef may explain each piece, offer guidance on how to eat it, or adjust the pacing based on your preferences. This interaction adds a personal element that enhances the overall experience. While omakase can be more expensive than regular sushi, the value lies in the quality, skill, and overall experience. It's not just about eating--it's about enjoying a carefully orchestrated meal that reflects both tradition and creativity. Overall, omakase sushi delivers a level of quality and thoughtfulness that's hard to match. If you're looking for a dining experience that combines artistry, flavor, and a sense of occasion, omakase is absolutely worth it.
