We've been coming here since they first opened years ago, and it's still our go-to sushi spot. Jenny is an absolute treasure. She somehow remembers details about our family and friends that even we occasionally have to stop and think about. She knows our usual order, remembers which sauces we love, and greets us like we've just returned from a long voyage instead of missing sushi night. At this point, we're fairly certain she has either a photographic memory... or an FBI-level file on us. Either way, we adore her. As for the food? Dangerous. The sushi is phenomenal, the miso soup is pure comfort in a bowl, the tempura is perfectly crisp, and the ramen and noodle dishes are outrageously delicious. Every visit begins with, "We'll keep it light today," and ends with us wondering if there's enough room for "just one more roll." The restaurant is always spotless, the décor is beautiful, and the entire atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Ryu has spoiled us to the point that eating mediocre sushi elsewhere now feels like a personal betrayal. We are back here after almost four years. And it was delicious! The broth and noodles in my chicken ramen was perfect. Chewy, not mushy noodles. Rich broth, flavorful, not too salty. If you go for the all you can eat sushi, make sure you have a good appetite. Their rolls are huge. The rice in the rolls fills you up fast. They have so many options to choose from. This sushi restaurant has become one of my go to sushu spots, mostly because of their AYCE menu. The prices have gone up over time, so that part is definitely something to keep in mind. That said, I still think the menu has a good selection compared to a lot of other AYCE sushi places. What really stands out to me is the appetizer menu. I actually love their appetizers the most, and I think that's the highlight of their AYCE deal. The service is usually good, and the variety of food keeps me coming back. My family and I stopped by for lunch on Saturday to try out the all you can eat sushi. We were easily able to find parking and were seated as soon as we entered the building. The interior is well-decorated with booths and tables to choose from. We were seated at a larger table for 5 adults. Once we were seated, we asked about the all you can eat service and were told to order from a paper. They give you 3 rounds to order whatever you'd like that's available on the menu. Lunch and dinner have different prices and a few more options available for dinner specifically. While filling out the forms, our servers were very good about checking in with us, double-checking if our paper order was ready or not without rushing us, and refilling drinks whenever we were less than halfway done. The quality of the sushi is really good. I felt like the nigiri was really had really good quality fish with a nice bit of seasoning. Each bite felt fresh and easy to eat. My favorite was the mackerel and eel because of their strong flavors. The rolls were also quite flavorful, with lots of different flavors and options. I really enjoyed the spider roll, but all of them were delicious. I'm so glad we stopped by to try because we have a new sushi place in our rotation. I stopped here with a small group on a weekend after a visit to the winery. Parking was pretty easy and we were seated right away without a reservation and the were busy bit not packed. We did the all you can eat, as it seemed to be the better value. The sushi menu is very big, which i did appreciate. However, it did seem a lot of the rolls were different variations of a California Roll. I like spicy, and luckily they had a good amount of spicy rolls. We tried several different rolls, and we enjoyed all of them. I think my favorite was the Jessica and we ordered it twice. We also had the crunch munch which was good, especially if you like a lot of crunch. The shooting star was another favorite of mine, and we also ordered it twice. They had a good options of sides too like edamame, gyoza, etc. We ordered the miso soup which was very flavorful. They give you 3 rounds of orders for the ayce, and we were overstuffed by that last one! I think overall it was pretty solid sushi, and if go back again as it was a pretty good deal for the price. read more

I have been coming here for years, love the place, especially the all-you-can-eat sushi. Staff is always prompt and friendly. However, went here today and instead of the menu they now want you to scan a barcode, order your drinks and food through an application... I don't understand! I'm not even 'old' and I don't want to use my phone while I'm on a date with my wife. I definitely don't want to figure out a phone application just to get dinner. I also don't want to feel obligated to tip 20% when the I just did 80 percent of the servers job through an application. To the restaurant, I recommend you offer both methods...traditional ordering for normal people, and you can keep your new phone application ordering for 14 year old girls. Sadly I won't be back, sushi restaurants are a dime a dozen, I'll just find one that doesn't force me to hang out on my stupid phone rather than spending time with someone I care about. Ironically a table near us was complaining about the exact same thing. Sounds like they won't be back either. Was in the area, wanted some sushi and found this place. It was not busy when we got there, around 4ish on a Sunday. Service was slow for the amount of people in the restaurant at that time. When it came to the food, if you like variations of California roll this might be the place for you but if you are looking for a variety of other sushi, you might want to look else. The fish on top of the nigiris did not taste fresh and was very chewy. Wasn't our cup of tea. I know it's an ayce place and expectations should be high but it's shouldn't be low either. You know it's good when your back for a second time in one week! After sitting out the AYCE on my last visit, I decided to go back tonight for it and it was 10/10 top tier rolls. I love the fact that their menu has pictures of all the different rolls with their description down below what's inside and outside. They have all sorts of options hand rolls, rolls with no rice appetizers and much much more. The service is wonderful Jenny who we met this past week remembered my boyfriend and I's name. They serve cocktails ex. Margarita which is only a few sips and served in a martini glass and my favorite ice cold Sapporo. This place is definitely on my top three sushi spots to visit when in Temecula might even steal first place of my favorite GIN SUSHI. This establishment does feel a bit bigger and has the chef's preparing the rolls fresh upon order. Some of my favorites included the mango roll, the yellow tail with Avocado and the blue fin roll!! Best AYCE sushi that we've found in the Temecula valley so far. We focus on nigiri and this place has especially great salmon and bluefin tuna. We like to finish the meal with a banana crunch roll which is like a dessert. Also love the crispy rice with spicy tuna. I've eaten here a couple of times before I posting a review because sometimes experiences aren't all the same. Unfortunately, they both were for me. Having just moved here from a beach community, I was spoiled by a superb sushi restaurant in San Clemente. Though, my boyfriend loves this place for the all you can eat sushi, but he orders his same thing every time (Mexican roll), and the White House (a heavy cream baked fish) I always order something along the lines of a Rainbow Roll or a Superman Burrito (ahi hand-roll , which I don't think they had), I lean towards fresh ahi tuna, salmon and yellowtail selections. First off, my sake was lukewarm, whereas, I like hot sake. They did reheat it, so it improved it. They had an odd selection of alcoholic drinks: screwdriver, jack and coke, and Long Island iced tea, type of cocktails. Strange, but ok, whatever is a crowd pleaser. The fish to me didn't taste very fresh and seemed more chewy, especially the shrimp. I tried the White House, which tasted fine, but it was so heavy with thick cream sauce. Overall, I guess, it just didn't measure up to the quality that I am used to, comparatively. The vinyl booths were outdated, and dishes made me feel like I was in a cafeteria, white and light plastic. This change would probably elevate the experience and, possibly, even make the food present and taste better. However, maybe this is the theme that they are going for. Though all of those things should be improved upon, I do have to say that the staff was very attentive and kind. I know that a lot of people love this place for their reasons, and my best experience there was them. The last comment I will add is that, when it comes to celebrating a birthday, the celebratory music that is played, is just too loud. A small adjustment in volume would be efficient enough to make someone's day a better one. Maybe, in a few months, I'll try the establishment out again and see how they're doing. Sometimes, just by drawing a fine line on what type of experience you want customer's to have, can make all the difference. Sometimes, less is more. Just don't lose the staff, great customer service does really count. read more

Just finished AYCE sushi dinner and a bit disgusted. 1/2 way through our meal my husband took a bite out of his roll and there was a long, long hair in it. The owner saw him take the bite and the looks of surprise and disgust on our faces and rushed over. When she asked what happened and we told her and showed her the long hair still in the chopsticks her response was "so did you still want the roll?" We politely said no thank you and she took the rest of the food away. That's it. Still paid full price for AYCE. Not even a dessert, not that we would want one at this point but an offer of some sort would have showed some customer service. Won't be back. read more

The restaurant could benefit from a light facelift but overall it's a pretty good spot. The locals like the place, at least the ones I've talked to. Came in on a Saturday late afternoon for AYCE dinner. Not super busy and was seated immediately. Staff were friendly and attentive. However, the quality of food was not good enough to justify the price. Ordered lots of raw fish rolls, carpaccio, and hand rolls in the first round and most of the fish didn't taste fresh. The saving grace of this place were the fried items like the Heart Attack, Vegetable Tempura, Crispy Rice, and Crispy Salmon. The one "raw" fish item we enjoyed was the mango salmon. This is not your typical/average all you can eat sushi place. The fish is so fresh and delicious and there are so many rolls and combinations I've never had anywhere else. Some of my favorites are 5th street which is a huge thick piece of fresh tuna stuffed with spicy crab with a combination of sweet and spicy sauce on it. I could eat 100 of them no doubt. The rattlesnake and the heart attack are delicious as well. I've been going there for about 6 years now and even through Covid (so glad they survived) the food is so consistent there. Yes it's a little on the pricey side for the all you can eat option however if you're going to have more than 2 rolls (which is impossible not to do) then it's well worth it. You also have a great selection of hot appetizers to choose from which is great as well. There are a few items on the menu that are only available at dinner but you can opt to pay the dinner pricing to get access to them. There's so many options on the lunch menu however, you should be able to find enough things to get your sushi groove on.... Give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed. read more
