Crispy rice
Poonam M.

Have been here several times , but this time was very disappointed with the taste of food. The crispy rice dish was soggy not crispy at all. Would not recommend. Service was good but hard to get a hold of staff if you wanted something more .

Came back today for the second time this month just to make sure, it is a good AYCE Sushi! I was happy with the service, nice and polite staff. Nice decor on the walls and the place was clean. A place if you wanna surprise someone on their birthday Their seared Salmon was really good, and my wife's favorite was their Rainbow Rolls, Mixed Tempura, and Hamachi Kama.

We don't go out to AYCE often but decided this time to go and enjoyed our meal there. We felt like the portions and quality were pretty good. For all you can eat, this is a good choice to consider. Service was great and the ambiance is casual with art depicting anime characters eating sushi.

TL;DR: Cool anime-themed sushi spot with friendly service. Decent quality AYCE for $38 but individual rolls are plenty filling. Arrived with party of 6 at 2pm on Sunday & seated immediately. --Interior Very cool anime decor & posters on the wall. Plenty of tables around for both small & big parties. At the time we arrived, decent amount of people inside. --Service Very energetic & friendly server. Checked on us often to take orders, & the orders themselves came out fairly quickly. AYCE price was about $38 which isn't too bad, but we opted to just order rolls individually. --Food Highlights King Salmon Roll (5/5) I'm a big salmon lover so I ordered the King Salmon, which had no rice & was just salmon sashimi wrapped around imitation crab. Everything you would love in a roll as a salmon fan. Baked Scallops (5/5) Baked to a warm temp with tender scallops packed with a lot of flavor. As for the nigiri, I didn't feel like there was too much rice in the servings which is a plus. For birthdays they also give you a serving of mochi ice cream as the finisher. --Overall Decent spot for sushi with quality fish around the area. Great for both larger parties or for a quick grab & go.

Awhile ago I wrote that my first attempt to dine at Papafet, which is located on the other side of the building, was closed that day, and my more than acceptable substitution was GIN Sushi. This is my glowing review of that rushed, but pleasurable experience. Over the years I've generally leaned away from AYCE sushi restaurants. There's always a compromise, typically in portion sizes, appearance, menu options, and worse, quality or freshness. Not so here, I'm happy to report. The AYCE price was commiserate with quality, very much so. Perhaps some limitations or limits on certain items but in reality the spectrum of choices, be they nigiri sushi, hand, or cut rolls, I got my money's worth. I had less than an hour for lunch, but the server was great about expediting my order (two rounds), and brought beer and water quickly. A couple of appetizer choices always appeal, namely baked Mussels and gyozas. Both were very good, especially the mussels. The latter were fresh and had a well-made sauce. Two cut rolls are typically all I can eat solo, and both came out well-prepared and garnished to great anesthetics visually. Taste was also fantastic. Was I really at an AYCE place? My final round saw me trying a few favorite sushi options including the tuna (fresh and good texture), the salmon (marbled and fatty), seared salmon, and Hamachi. While I was unable to return during my work in Temecula, I'd gladly return for another meal or three. Well done!

This was our 1st time here heard from others it was really good. We have tried 2 other places and this by far is the best. Omg it was so good. Will definitely be our new spot. Plus the service was great. It was pretty busy and didnt take long at all. Can't wait to go back! It's a must try for sure.

No, first come first serve:

Do they have rolls that doesn't have rice? And do they have AYCE?

Yes they do

My wife and I heard of this place and might try it soon! Is this place any good?

One of the best selections in town and priced just right. I love their signature Gin Sushi Roll and will often order their Gin Sushi Deluxe with Spicy Tuna option. The owners and staff are always friendly and attentive.

Is this place any good?

Absolutely! Staff and owners are always attentive. Menu is for everyone, whether you love sushi or not. They also offer take out. One of the best deals is the Gin Sushi Deluxe, I get it with spicy tuna. Yum!

This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

I have left previous reviews for this wonderful establishment but the reason I keep coming back and…read morekeep everything updated is because this particular restaurant really does deserve the attention. You cant find sushi as fresh and as tender as they serve here everyday. Every cut, every roll, every slice is portioned generously and is succulently delectable. Sake Sushi is a special local gem holding its own among all of the overly hyped franchise chains that populate the area. Tony and his team of chefs here have things down to an art, and a special thanks from me goes out to Kevin! The waitresses here are always kind and helpful and Ava made my last visit here a true delight. I cant get enough of this place and the prices are truly modest for what is served. A+++

I got the teriyaki sauce on the side. The lunch came with a salad, miso soup, a side of rice and 2 gyoza. I was impressed with the sushi as well as the salmon. Even without teriyaki sauce the salmon was seasoned and cooked well. The garlic chicken was another story. The chicken texture was off putting as well as the flavor. It had no hint of garlic and was odd slices of chicken with undercooked sliced onions. The miso soup was flavorful but had nothing else in it except two tiny squares of tofu. The salad was just a small, average Japanese salad. The dressing was a little bland. It's a very small little place but it's clean inside. I would recommend it if you are just going to have sushi.
